Beneath the city of Canterlot, rumours of a new changeling hive are beginning to circulate; tales of hungering swarms roaming the dark, unlit tunnels of that empty, foul void. Realising that only direct action can dislodge the growing swarm from their new hive, Shining Armour and the Celestial Guard are deployed into the claustrophobic confines of Canterlot's waste network, unaware that even as they advance towards their objective, the swarm lies in wait for a feast that has been months in coming.

Alone, isolated, and stalked by a creature that hungers for the very essence of his soul , Shining Armour presses deeper and deeper into the labyrinth, failing to realise that he has unwittingly stumbled into the hooves of the changeling queen herself.
