Chapters "Princess Celestia cordially invites you to the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor. It'll all be held in the Canterlot Castle inside the Ballroom. Only closes friends of either of twos relative may attend. Thank You. Does that sound fine to you?" One of the guards read aloud.
He directed the question to a unicorn colt with a turquoise white coat, a mane with many different streaks of blue, has moderate cerulean eyes, and a cutie mark that has a dark blue shield with a pink-purple six pointed start in the middle and three light blue stars above it. The colt nodded. "That's fine. Can you tell Princess Celestia to add that to her report?"
The guard answered, "Yes sir!"
With that, the guard left the room. The colt sighed, "I can't believe we're about to get married."
He turned around and looked at a female Alicorn. She had a pale light gray cerise coat, dark violet with moderate rose and pale gold streaked mane, grayish purple eyes, and a teal crystal heart cutie mark that's wrapped around gold laces. She giggled a bit, "Well, it's not that big of a surprise. We have known each other since I was babysitting your sister, Twilight."
He remembered those days. He just ended up letting out another sigh. The Alicorn asked, "Shining Armor is there something wrong?"
He just shook his head. She came behind him and put her hoof on his shoulder. Shining answered, "It's just with the threats that Canterlot has been receiving, I just think…it's gonna be hard to have the wedding. Don't you think?"
There was a pause. He called, "Cadence?"
She was out on the balcony, thinking. He went up to her and asked, "Are you worried? If you are, we can postpone it."
She protested, "No! I don't want to do that. We don't know when the threats will cease so it could take forever to find another date. I mean…it's just…you know what, I'm fine. I know everything will be fine."
He just nodded to her. There was a long pause. She put out, "Well, I think I'll be going to bed, goodnight."
Shining nodded to her. He looked out into the kingdom. Maybe Cadence is right. It won't be right to postpone. Everything's fine. At least, I hope. With that, Shining left the balcony and shut the windows, noted that he saw Cadence was already asleep. carefully climbed in, and drifted asleep.
It was midnight and there were sounds happening in the hallways. There was noise on Cadence and Shining's door. Shining Armor instantly woke up. Trying not to wake his fiancé, he got up slowly out of bed. He got one of his swords and crept outside the bedroom. He looked around the hallway with eagle eyes. There was nothing there. What did the intruder take him for, a stupid foal! He wasn't going to be fooled so easily. He started walking around the halls more just in case.
All the sudden, he saw a figure swoop by. He instantly started galloping towards it. It went into a room. He burst through the doors, just to find…nothing. He was in the throne room. He shifted his eyes back and forth, yet he saw nothing. He sighed, "Must've been my imagination."
A voice laughed, "Guess again."
He swiftly turned around only to get zapped by some freaky magic. He saw a figure but couldn't really make it out. After a few seconds of being hit with the painful magic, he passed out.
Shining awoke in a weird cave. He called, "Anyone there?"
He was greeted by a deep laughter. He stomped his hoof on the ground. He demanded, "Show yourself!"
The voice groaned, "If I must."
There was a bright green light that came closer to Shining. He gasped. It was a tall pony with a twisted horn, his coat was a very dark grey, silver armor covering his torso, he also had a teal mane it was almost identical to his, except his bangs split when they reach his horn and they go pass his eyes, and he has dark green eyes that have oval shaped pupils.
Shining looked at him very shocked. He stammered, "You're a…a,"
The pony finished, "A Changeling." His voice was really deep, and it also sounded as if he had two different voices. Shining was about to use his magic on him, but when he tried, it gave him a huge migraine. Shining asked, "What's going on? What have you done?"
He groaned, "First things first, I am not a 'thing' an 'it' not even a 'you'. I'm King Metamorphosis. What's going on? Let's just say it's a little trick."
"This isn't a trick! It's a scandal, a villainous act!"
"Well if you want make things sound harsher, okay then. What have you done? I've drained a little bit of your magic. It's not much really. It's just that you won't be able to, let's see." He placed his hoof on his chin. "You won't be able to teleport, levitate things, conjure up anything, contact the outside, perform your acts as Captain of the Royal Guard, and teleport others to you. I feel like I'm missing something."
Shining looked extremely bored, but his eyes went wide at what he heard. He asked, "Wait! What did you say?"
He answered, "I feel like I'm missing something."
He just blinked. He shook his head. "No a little bit before that."
"Contact the outside?"
He facehooved. What did he think this was all a game? If he's a villain he's a bad one.
He shouted, "I'M NOT A BAD VILLAIN! Now if you meant I'm a bad villain then, thank you."
Shining rolled his eyes. What's wrong with him?
"Also, I said: You won't be able to perform your acts as Captain of the Royal Guard. But don't fret; I'll be doing the work for you."
"What! "
Metamorphosis was taken aback. He complained, "Nu uh! Don't say what! Say whaaaat! Like you're all surprised and happy, you should know the feeling."
Okay, Shining was really confused. Did he care about him or not? He asked, "You care about my happiness?"
The King rolled his eyes. "Not really. But, it's better to hear stuff that way. Don't you agree?"
"I guess."
"Anyway, I must return back to Canterlot."
Shining went back to being serious. He asked, "How're you gonna perform the spell to protect the castle? You may be able to change into me, but you don't have my magic, unless that's why you drained me."
King Metamorphosis sighed, "Well, duh! Why else would I do it?"
He looked down at the ground in despair and hopelessness. He looked at him weirdly. He consoled, "It may seem bad now, but it'll all be fine in the end. Granted, you'll be stuck in here for all eternity, but that's life. Ciao!"
With that, the King disappeared. When he did, Shining whispered, "A little too cheery for a villain, if you ask me. I realized I'm talking to nopony."
King Metamorphosis teleported into Shining's room, he looked at his surroundings. He looked over at the bed and saw Princess Cadence. His eyes widened when he saw the goddess. He exclaimed, "That's Cadence! I imagined something a little bit grotesque but, this! Woooo! This girl is a goddess, she's better than Celestia herself. Wait! I'm a married Changeling." He looked away.
He looked back at Cadence and thought, then again, I can tell Chrysalis it was just business.
Cadence moaned, "Shining, is that you?"
He looked over at the window, it was already morning. He transformed into Shining. He looked over at the mirror. "Ugh! I look horrible."
Cadence opened her eyes and smiled at her soon-to-be husband. She asked, "Why're up so early?"
He thought for a little bit. "I thought I heard a noise, turns out it was my imagination."
He got up and went to the mirror to groom. She started, "Well, are you excited to see Twilight and her friends?"
Oops! He just asked, "Uh…Who?"
She looked over at him. He thought he had been caught. She consoled, "Oh! My poor Shining Armor. This whole even has you so frazzled, that you can't even think straight. You know what; instead of you looking into the preparations I'll do it for you, okay?"
He shrugged. "Okay."
"Good! Don't you have to be commanding the guards?"
She teleported his uniform on him, he nodded at her and started walking away. The doors opened up revealing a servant pony. She greeted, "Good morning, Shining Armor!"
He exclaimed, "Hey! I have no idea who you are."
He left the two mares. She asked, "What's wrong with him?"
Cadence answered, "I'm sure it's just stress."

Something's Different with Shining Armor
A pale light grayish mulberry coated female unicorn, with moderate violet eyes, moderate sapphire blue mane with moderate violet and brilliant rose streaks, and has a cutie mark that's a pink-purple six pointed star surround by 5 small stars, ran into Canterlot. She ran all the way to the Castle. When, she got there she saw a place where all the guards were getting sent off. No doubt it was her brother Shining Armor. She called, "I've got-"
Before she could finish, she bumped into somepony. She apologized, "I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there."
The other pony dusted herself off. She looked at the unicorn and gasped, "Twilight!"
Twilight looked at the Alicorn weirdly. She laughed, "Twilight it's me Cadence. You know,"
Cadence started doing a little dance and chanted, "Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!"
Twilight's eyes lit up. She exclaimed, "Oh Cadence, it really is you!"
The two hugged each other. When they let go, she said, "Wait a minute! Cadenza, Cadence, you're marrying my brother! !"
Twilight started hopping around Cadence and chanted, "You're marrying my brother! You're marrying my brother!"
She stopped and asked, "Have you seen Shining?"
She shook her head. "Actually I was about to go looking for him. It's so unlike him to not attend royal duties."
That really was unlike him. Cadence added, "Then again, he has been a little stressed. So, I guess it makes sense. C'mon, we'll look for him together."
She nodded and the two went back inside the castle.
They walked for several hours around the castle and didn't see him anywhere. Could he just be around Canterlot somewhere? Did he leave? The two had their heads hung down. Twilight's head lifted up when she saw a familiar figure. She turned her head and it was her brother. She laughed and thought it would be funny if she sneaked up on him.
Unaware what was going, Metamorphosis heard there were mares getting dress in the other room. Since, he wasn't really allowed to be in there, he used his magic to see through the walls. He whispered, "Somepony take off a shirt or something."
Right behind him someone called, "Hey!"
He jumped up and screamed. He saw Twilight smiling at him. He just looked at her. Her smile disappeared. She giggled, "Shining it's me, Twilight."
He exclaimed, "Oh right, Twilight, my…um?" Metamorphosis mentally slapped himself. Smooth move on not asking who he knows.
She answered slightly confused, "Your little sister."
He walked past her and said, "Right."
Cadence smiled sheepishly at Twilight. She stated, "Told you, he was really stressed. He so stressed that he forgot you and a few others. But, I think I speak for the both of us when I say we couldn't be more excited to have you here. Isn't that right, Shiny?"
He looked Twilight deviously and answered, "Absolutely. "
She was taken aback but, didn't really think anything of it. He asked, "Would you mind if I come along for that preparations…thing?"
Cadence nodded. The groom and bride walked away. She looked over her shoulder and said, "See you later, Twilight."
Twilight got back into reality and nodded her head. She turned around and started heading towards the kitchen. King Metamorphosis looked back and saw Twilight's plot. He whispered, "She must do a lot of running."
Kitchen
An earth pony that has a light brilliant gamboge coat, pale light grayish olive, and moderate sap green eyes with a cutie mark that has three red apples on her flank, ran the kitchen. She ran across the room making sure everything was okay, Twilight was there, checking off everything. She said, "Cake, check. Ice sculpture, check. Best darn bitesize apple fritter you ever tasted…"
She shoved plopped one into Twilight's mouth. "Mmm. Check."
A purple green baby dragon was playing with the toppers and pretended they were real. He played, "I do, do you? I do!" He started making kissing noises.
Twilight groaned, "Spike!"
She levitated toppers out his hands and he laughed nervously. She heard doors swing open and turned around. The earth pony greeted, "Hiya, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza."
Cadence blushed a bit. Twilight giggled, "Applejack, I think it's fine if you just call her Cadence. Is it?"
She nodded and mumbled, "I actually would prefer it that way."
Applejack tried again, "Alright then. Hiya, Cadence. You two come to check out what's on the menu for ya big day?"
Metamorphosis answered, "We have!"
When Applejack turned around, he rolled his eyes. Twilight noticed this and thought to herself, What's wrong him?
He mouthed to Twilight, 'Nothing's wrong.'
She got a little confused. Cadence levitated an apple fritter into her mouth. She cooed, "That's delicious! Shining you have to try one."
She put one into his mouth without warning. He swallowed it and shivered. The three gave him weird looks. He exclaimed, "It's really great!"
Applejack blushed. "Aw, shucks. Why don't you take a few to go?"
She smiled at them and Cadence happily took the bag. King Meta on the other hand, wasn't so happy. Those things are revolting! How could anypony eat that garbage?
The two left out the kitchen. A guard came by and ordered, "Princess Celestia has asked for your presence Princess Cadence."
She nodded. Then, she remembered she had to check on her dress, not to mention her bridesmaids' dresses. She asked, "Shining, can you do me a favor?"
He answered, "Of course. I'd do everything to you."
"What!"
"I'd do anything for you; is what I said."
Metamorphosis, along with the bridesmaids, walked up the tower's stairs to look at the dresses, although he could honestly careless. A female unicorn with a very light aquamarine coat, pale light grayish cyan mane with white highlights, moderate tangelo eyes, and has a lyre as a cutie mark went by his side excitedly and asked, "Shining, do you remember me? Lyra Heartstrings," he stopped in his tracks and blankly stared at the mare. She clarified, " I'm friends with your sister, Twilight. Her and I known each other since magic kindergarten."
He rolled his eyes and answered annoyingly, "Nnnope."
Lyra turned her head and gave her friends questionable looks. A unicorn with a Maya blue coat, a periwinkle mane and tail with a pigment blue streak, steel blue eyes, and has a cutie mark of an hourglass consoled, "It has been a while since he has seen you. Maybe, you've gotten bigger or something."
Lyra's eyes got small and her lip started quivering. She thought sullenly, I've gotten fatter! With her head hung down, she trotted ahead of the group. Another unicorn with a light goldish grey coat, pale cerise mane and tail, and moderate arctic blue eyes scoffed, "Minuette, why did you say that?"
She replied, confused with her friend's anger, "I didn't think she would get upset by it. I'm sorry, Twinkleshine."
"Yeeeeah. I don't think you should apologize to me," Twinkle pointed her hoof at Lyra, who was still teary eyed. Minuette sighed, "I'll do it…later."
Twinkle sighed at Minuette's laziness.
Rarity's bedroom
Twilight paced around the room talking to another unicorn. She had a purple mane, moderate azure eyes, and a light gray coat. Twilight went on, "I don't know Rarity; I just think it's weird. First he doesn't follow orders, then he pretends he doesn't know me, and just a few minutes ago, he lied about liking AJ's food. Ugh , who know what's Shining Armor's gonna do or say next?"
A voice asked, "Did someone say my name?"
The two unicorns saw Metamorphosis walk in, along with Cadence's bridesmaids. Twilight for once, was less enthusiastic seeing her brother. In all honesty, she'd rather not see him at all right now. She needed to see somepony who would know what's going on with Shining Armor. She asked Meta, "Where's Caden-"
Rarity interrupted, "Good Afternoon Captain! Let me just start by saying what an honor it is to play a role in such a momentous occasion."
Metamorphosis gave her a slight unenthusiastic stare and frown. He asked, "A-ha. Is my bride's dress ready?"
She stammered, "Yes, of course. Um, I've been working on it ever since I was given the assignment, and I think you'll be pleased with the results! Mmm!"
At first he didn't care about the dress, and then he thought of a good way to get what he wanted. He ranted, "I don't think she would like the dress. The train may be a little long."
She looked at the train and got a little taken back by the vision. The fashonista blushed a little when she thought of Cadence walking down the aisle with her plot showing. Rarity saw Meta looking at her, waiting for a response. So, she explained, "Uh, but if the train's shortened, I would have to shorten the dress… and don't you think it'll be a little revealing? Maybe, I can make it stop a little below ankles, but it'll still be long enough to drag."
Welp,That didn't work! , Meta thought begrudgingly. He groaned, "Fine , whatever!"
He turned his attention to the bridesmaid's dresses, even though he really just wanted to leave. He came up with some fake error, "And those should be a different color."
Twinkleshine commented, "I think they're lovely."
Minuette agreed, "Me too!"
Lyra had her input, "I love them."
Metamorphosis glared at them, luckily Twilight and Rairty didn't notice. The three unicorns looked down, trying to avoid the frightful stares. He repeated, "Make them a different color."
The four left out of the now uncomfortably silent room. When they left out, Twilight scoffed, "Wow! He's being a little bit demanding."
Outside
Metamorphosis and the bridesmaids descended down the tower and were going to their next destinations. The three unicorns looked very nervous, as if they had something on their mind. The numbing silence wasn't enough to silence one of them. Twinkleshine lost it and shouted, "I can't believe you did that! "
He kept on walking, but still responded heatedly, "Excuse me!"
She went on, "You didn't have to be demanding like that! You could've at least complemented on something !"
Minuette laughed nervously, "Twinkle, calm down…now! "
She shook her head angrily at Minuette and fumed, "No, this needs to be said!" S
She turned back to Metamorphosis and ranted on, "No offense Shining Armor, but you need to learn something called, manners!"
Lyra and Minuette exchanged worried looks, but Meta seemed unfazed, which calmed their senses a bit. The three kept walking down, until he blocked their paths. Twinkle glared at him, but stopped when she saw the deadly glint in his eyes. Meta smirked at the three and retorted, "And I think you need to learn a lesson!"
His horn shined green, a beam shot out, and hit their horns. The three groaned as stabbing pain tore through their whole body. He smiled at their agony. There was a blinding flash and the three unicorns disappeared. It didn't leave a mark or anything as evidence to show that magic was used. His eyes went wide and he groaned, "Oh great! Now I need to find new bridesmaids."
He continued on walking down. When he was on the ground, he heard a door close above him. He looked up and saw Twilight. He questioned, "Where are you going?"
She looked at him confusingly and chuckled nervously, "Good one, Shining. I'm going were you are going, obviously."
He had to think of something quick. He exclaimed, "Oh! The music." She nodded in approval. He sighed in relief. Good thinking, Metamorphosis. I'm so clever!
The two walked on over to check on the percussion.
Fluttershy's bedroom
The one directing the music is a pegasus pony. She had a pale light grayish gold coat, pale light grayish rose mane, moderate cyan eyes, and a cutie mark that has three butterflies with cyan bodies and pink wings. She conducted her birds to start playing. After a few minutes, they were done with their masterpiece. The timid pegasus asked, "What did you think? I mean, if you don't mind me asking."
Twilight clapped her hooves and cooed, "Wow! Fluttershy, that was beautiful. Don't you-"
She stopped and huffed at her brother; Metamorphosis was asleep. She nudged him and he woke up...a little. He yawned, "Well, as you can tell, it was boring."
Fluttershy asked, quite surprised with his response, "E-Excuse me?"
He explained, "I was expecting something more…flashy. This is my-I mean our big day and all."
She thought about it for a little and shrugged. Not entirely too sure with his explanation, she still agreed, "I-I guess you're right."
"Of course, I'm right! Which it's not that big of a surprise. So, I'm hoping to hear a huge improvement!" With that, he left out the room. Fluttershy ordered calmly, "Okay little ones, you heard him. We need something big and flashy. Okay a 1, a 2, and a 1, 2, 3."
She conducted them hastily and the birds squawked out the notes, the music sounded awful. Twilight cringed at their screeching. Fluttershy sighed, "Oh, maybe we should just try again later."
Twilight put her hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder and comforted, "I think they sounded beautiful before, Fluttershy. Honestly, I don't think you need to change it."
She responded, "Oh, thanks Twilight! But, it's actually Shining Armor and the Princess Cadence's decision on what should or shouldn't be used. N-No offense."
Twilight just nodded at her shy friend and left her alone to practice.
Outside
As she was walking, Twilight bumped into Metamorphosis. She fell flat on her plot, she looked up, and she saw the stern look he was giving her. She whimpered, "W-W-What?"
He yelled, "Why did you do that! I gave her specific reasons why her music was terrible; and you just had to tell her she didn't need to change it!"
She protested, "I just didn't want to-"
He interrupted, "You know what Twilight! Why don't you be a good little mare and just check off your little list. mmkay?"
She gawked at him, but still sadly nodded. He started walking away and she followed behind slowly. Why is my brother mad at me? He never used to yell at me like that. Is it because at what I'm doing or is it simply stress?
He answered matter-of-factly, "What do you think?"
She looked at him confusingly. She thought to herself interested, He's never learned how to read minds. How's he doing that?
He was about to answer again, but was worried she was going to get suspicious. He looked back her and frown a little. She looked so sad. He almost felt bad for her. Almost. He turned back around and whispered to himself, "She still is ravishing though."
Hearing what he said, Twilight exclaimed, "What!"
"Nothing!"
Open Meadow
A little bit farther from the castle laid the flat meadows, which is a perfect place for a Pegasus pony to show her awesome tricks to the groom. She has very light cerulean coat, moderate cerise eyes, and a rainbow mane. Her cutie mark is a blue-yellow-red lightning bolt with a cloud at the top. She sat at the top of a cloud and shouted, "Are you ready!"
Twilight and Metamorphosis looked up at her. Twilight replied, "Ready when you are, Rainbow Dash!"
Rainbow spread out her wings and dive bombed. She zoomed almost to the ground and then when she was almost near it…BOOM! The sound barrier broke and it sent gusting winds. The winds almost blew Twilight and Metamorphosis away. She sent a rainbow across the sky and then she landed in front of the two. Twilight exclaimed, "Oh wow, Rainbow! That was just...amazing!"
Rainbow replied, "Thanks Twilight. Was it alright, Captain?"
He looked up at the rainbow, which is slowly fading. He ordered, "You may want to work on it."
He just turned around and started leaving. Both Twilight and Rainbow's jaw dropped. Rainbow thought for a little. She looked up and said, "You know what, he's right! Maybe, I do need to practice a little."
"But Rainbow-" Twilight wasn't able to finish; her friend zoomed back up into the sky. She just sighed and started following Metamorphosis.
Ballroom
They went to see a party loving earth pony. Her coat is a pale light grayish raspberry; brilliant raspberry mane, light cerulean eyes, and her cutie mark are balloons. Two balloons are blue with yellow strings and one is yellow with a blue string. The earth pony bounced along with Metamorphosis and Twilight. She exclaimed, "Okay let me see. We've been over the games…"
She zooms over to a board and rattles dice. She smiles at him. She zooms back over to him and continues, "…the dances…"
She starts doing a weird dance along with some polka music. "I think this reception is gonna be perfect! Don't you?"
Twilight was about to say something, but she waited for the criticism of her brother. She asked, "Do you like Pinkie's plan, Shining?"
He replied very enthusiastically, "It's perfect! You know what; you're the only pony that's actually doing something right! Keep it up!"
Pinkie gasped, "Thank you!"
He walked away with a smile on his face. Twilight looked extremely confused. "Well, I didn't expect that."

Cadence and Shining's bedroom
Metamorphosis walked into Shining and Cadence's bedroom exhaustively. He did not enjoy checking over every little thing. Cadence noticed his tired-like appearance.She walked over to him, placed a hoof on his shoulder, and asked, "Is everything alright?"
Meta jumped a little at the new feeling, but calmed down when he saw it was his soon-to-be-hypnotized wife. "Oh yes! Everything's fine." He changed the topic and informed, "Oh! By the way you're gonna need new bridesmaids."
She cocked an eyebrow and asked confused, "What!? Why?"
"Uh…That's a good question! Uh," He twiddled his hooves together, waiting for an excuse to come to him. He smiled when he finally got an idea. Meta put on a fake hurt face and sadly responded, "They only wanted to meet Canterlot royalty."
Cadence lowered her head in sadness and bit her lip to stiffen her sobs. Metamorphosis placed his hoof on her shoulder and consoled, "It doesn't matter. I think I can find you great new bridesmaids."
She looked up at him and smiled with fake happiness, even though she was still crushed that her friends would do that to her. She was about to thank Meta for his kindness, but then she saw a flicker of green his eyes. She jumped back at the startling change. Meta noticed this sudden reaction and queried, "What's wrong?"
Cadence began shaking a little; she didn't understand what was going on. Well, at least she didn't want to believe something was wrong. She stammered, "Y-Your eyes, what's wr-wr-wrong with them?"
He chuckled nervously, "I have absolutely-"
"Who are you? Where's my Shining Armor!?" She shouted furiously at the fake. She needed to know what was going! She demanded an answer! Metamorphosis knew he'd been found out and he knew he needed to do something before she causes other to get suspicious. Cadence was about to start shouting again, until Meta charged up his horn and hit her in the head by a green beam. This caused her eyes go all derpy, but it was soon replaced by a blank stare. Night guards and an alicorn burst through the doors. The alicorn has dark sapphire blue coat, moderate cobalt blue mane, moderate cyan eyes, she had a black small crown on, also a black necklace that has a white crescent moon, and her cutie mark is a crescent moon with a dark purple background. She asked, "Mi Amore Cadenza is thou alright?"
Cadence didn't answer; she just kept looking forward. The alicorn took a step closer towards Cadence and repeated, "Is thou alright? Please answer."
Metamorphosis chimed in, "Oh, yes, she's perfectly fine."
"We heard thee screaming. Is there an intruder?" The Alicorn questioned further. He laughed in his head, That's funny, it's a good thing they don't realize I'm an intruder.
He lied, "No there isn't, Princess…uh, Luna. She just fell out of bed, isn't that right honey?"
Cadence nodded and mumbled, "Mmm-hmm."
Luna gave him and her guards a concerned look, but still, the guards and her left out the room. Once the doors closed, Metamorphosis let out a deep sigh. "Well that was close." He looked at Cadence, who is still in a trance, and ordered, "I don't want you doing that again. You'll foil my plans, and that's not cool at all. It's the opposite of cool…it's absolutely uncool! Promise me you'll never do that again."
She hesitated, "I…promise."
"Good girl! Oh and you'll forget this ever happened, right?" He continued. Once again, she nodded her head slowly. He sighed, "Whew! Alright that's cool! I was just checking. I don't want you blurting this out to whole kingdom. If you do that, then I'll have to show my violent side, which I try so hard to keep buried. I try to be more fun-loving, but then my wife Chrysalis is like 'You have to get a backbone Metamorphosis. You act too much like an Equestrian. Stop acting like a little foal!' Why can't somepony just bring in a little fun? That's all I ask. Then the next thing you know, I get blasted. ME! Grrrr! I just wish she'd lighten up a bit."
Cadence interrupted, "Sir?"
"Huh?"
"The trance I'm in."
He got the idea quickly and apologized, "Oh! Sorry about that, it's just that I was in the mood for talking. And since you're in a trance and you'll forget this happened, I just thought 'why not', you know."
"The spell, sir, please take it off!" She shouted. Meta sighed, "Okay fine!"
His horn glowed green again, he touched her forehead and the spell went away. Her eyes returned to their normal color. She rubbed her head and asked, "W-What happened?"
He answered, "You were going to get Twilight's friends and tell them they're your new bridesmaids."
"Oh yeah, that's right! Thanks!" She exclaimed and began walked out of the room. Before she left, she turned around and said, "I love you."
He responded, "I love you too."
She smiled and walked out. He closed the door and let out a sigh. He complained, "I wish she'd be my wife, instead of that bossy, boring, good for nothing Chrysalis."
"Excuse me! " A voice bellowed out of the somewhat silent room. Metamorphosis turned around and gasped. He saw his wife's, Chrysalis, reflection in the mirror. She looked exactly like him, except…well female. She also had a type of crown on her head. He went up to the mirror and laughed, "I didn't say anything my queen."
She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Of course you didn't. Ugh! You look hideous!" She gagged. He agreed, "I know! I don't how these ponies look at themselves every day without puking. Do I look fat to you, honey? Be honest."
She growled, "Yes. Now change back!"
His body glowed green and he changed back into his Changeling-self. He groaned, "Now you're just being mean. You're just jealous because I don't have holes or a bent horn."
She fumed, "You know why I have those features, Metamorphosis!"
He stuck his tongue at her, just to get under her skin. She just sighed and questioned, "When will we be able to get into Canterlot? This is taking longer than I expected!"
"Whoa! Calm down! You'll be here before you know it. It's an easy snap." He explained matter-of-factly.
"It better be. Or the only thing that'll be easy to snap is you!" She shouted and then in a quick flash, she disappeared. He sat down and said, "My wife, go figure."
King Metamorphosis transformed back into Shining Armor and started heading downstairs. He heard Twilight talking to someone but he didn’t know who. He hid himself behind a wall and listened.
Twilight came inside Cadence and Shining’s house to talk to them. She seemed very upset about something. Cadence was staring at herself in the mirror, she had her dress on and she was making sure everything looked perfect. She saw Twilight and beamed. “Twilight! Your soon-to-be sister-in-law is looking beautiful, don’t you think?”
There wasn’t an answer. She turned around and saw Twilight’s sad expression. She asked, “Is everything alright?”
This was something hard for Twilight to say, especially since it’s about her brother. But, he’s been acting different lately. Sure, her friends haven’t heard of or seen her brother, but they should at least realize his nasty attitude, well excluding Pinkie. She needed to get another pony’s opinion, and Cadence is her only option. She spoke up, “We need to talk. It’s about my brother. Has he-”
They heard somepony clear their throat. They turn and saw Metamorphosis on the steps, sending a suspicious glare at mostly Twilight. Cadence stammered, “Oh, uh, hi, Shiny.”
He walked down the steps, still sending the glare at Twilight. She gawked at his stare but sent one back at him. It made her feel weird. He looked at Cadence and demanded, “Can I speak with you for a moment, sweetie?”
She nodded and he started walking to study room. Cadence looked Twilight and sent her a reassuring stare. “Better go see what he wants.”
She explained. She walked into the room with him and they started talking rather loud. Feeling kind of curious, Twilight sneaked up to the door and opened it up slightly. She peeked through. She didn’t really hear parts of the conversation but she heard this one loud and clear. Shining ranted, “I thought I made it perfectly clear I didn’t want you to wear that veil.”
“And?” He questioned. He didn’t even care one bit. That made her furious. She continued, “And I think I should wear it.”
“I guess I am! Ah!” She exclaimed. There was a painful shot of pain that went through her head. It caused her to jerk back. She didn’t understand why she was getting it though. Shining consoled, “Oh, are you getting a headache?”
She fell to the ground and in pain. He shot a beam to her horn that made her eyes go all derpy. Twilight’s eyes widened when she saw what her brother did. She never thought he would do something…so…so…evil! Cadence started getting back up slowly. Her eyes glowed green and she had a blank stare. Metamorphosis asked, “Feeling better?”
She nodded to him. Twilight whispered, “Oh my gosh! I can’t believe. My brother is becoming EVIL!”
She ran out the door without warning. Cadence ran out to get Twilight. She called, “Twilight!”
Shining stopped her. “Let her go.” He began nuzzling her, acting as if nothing happened. She wasn’t comforted by it at all. She felt really bad for Twilight. She said to mostly herself, “It seemed like she had something else she wanted to tell me.”(A/N: I’m skipping the part where Twilight’s friends become bridesmaids, because not much changes.)
Ballroom
An Alicorn was the priest of the wedding. She has a white coat, light cerulean, light turquoise, and very light cobalt sparkly mane, pale, light grayish magenta eyes, and her cutie mark is a stylized sun. She also has a golden necklace that as an amethyst on it. Twilight’s friends come walking in when church organ music started playing. She praised, “Perfect, girls. No need to rush!”
Two guards standing by the doors opened up them up with their magic and Cadence was on the other end. She started walking in slowly. Metamorphosis’ eyes widened when he saw how beautiful she was. He whispered, “Best plan ever, Chrysalis.”
They all looked over and didn’t see Twilight. All they saw was Spike playing with the toppers…again. Cadence asked, “Hey…has anypony seen Twilight?”
The doors burst open, showing an exhausted Twilight. She gasped, “I’m sorry. I’m here. Sorry, Cadence and Princess Celestia.”
She kind of hesitated, but she presented the rings. Metamorphosis used his magic and levitated them onto his and Cadence’s horn. She concluded, “And then you two will be pronounced Mare and Colt. Then, you’ll walk out the balcony to see the subjects. Alright, that concludes the wedding preparations.”
Everypony was getting ready to leave the Ballroom, until Twilight called out to Metamorphosis, “Uh, Shining, can we talk?”
He acted as if he was surprised. He explained, “But, Twilight, it’s my big day. It’s not that big of a surprise.”
“Yes, I know. That still doesn’t give you the right to be so rude, especially with Cadence!” She ranted. That caused him to get very irritated. He didn’t understand how she knew. But, he didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Before he could ask, she said, “I saw you put a spell on her that made her eyes go all-”
She made her eyes go into a derpy fashion. He glared at her, which caused her to jump back. He explained, “That ‘spell’ I put on her, was to help with her headache. She’s been getting them because she’s been so stressed out.”
Twilight’s jaw dropped. She chuckled nervously. He continued, “And I’m so sorry that I was just trying to make some adjustments to the preparations. It’s my day Twilight, not yours! Why did you think I was acting that way?”
She gulped down a lump. She swirled her hoofs on the floor, feeling really ashamed. She mumbled, “I thought you were evil.”
“You thought I was WHAT! I can’t believe you would think about me like that! Your own brother! Your own flesh and blood!” He went on.
Twilight started crying. Metamorphosis kept hearing her apologize in her thoughts. He thought, See! I can get things handled on my own, Chrysalis. I should get a prize for this acting. He continued, “If you feel that way, then you can forget about being my Best Mare! In fact, if I were you, I wouldn’t show up to the wedding at all!”
She placed her hooves up to her eyes. She whispered, “I’m so sorry.”
He said, “It’s as if you had a choice, anyway.”
She saw a faint green glow. She moved her hoofs away and she saw Shining with an evil smile on his face. His horn shined green and green flames started circling around her. When they were done, his horn stopped shining and his eyes flashed green. A dome went over her and she started sinking into the ground. He started walking away from her and went out of the Ballroom. Cadence started galloping towards him. She asked, “What happened? I heard you two arguing.”
He said, “It’s nothing. Twilight was just so stressed. She decided to skip the wedding.”
Her eyes flashed green and she just nodded. He smiled evily once again and walked by her side. Everything’s working out perfectly, He thought smugly.

This Day Aria
Darkness
Twilight had no idea where she was, everything around her was pitch black. The only thing she could make out was that she was on a cold rough ground. Her horn glowed and the light shunned the darkness that surrounded her. She was inside of some kind of cavern. She had no idea whether to be afraid or confused. Instead of just sitting there, she decided to examine her surroundings. Twilight shouted, "Hello? Is anyone there?"
Her words bounced off the cavern's walls. As she was looking around, she bumped into a wall. The walls showed Twilight's reflection, for some odd reason she found herself curiously staring at it. After a while Twilight was greeted by an eerie laugh. She looked up in fear and tried to find the pony. Unfortunately, there was no one else there. She thought it was best to ask another question. She asked, "Where am I?"
She turned her back to the reflective wall and heard a voice say, "The caves beneath Canterlot," Twilight's eyes went small when she saw her many reflections replaced by Metamorphosis (who is still disguised as Shining), "once home to greedy unicorns who wanted to claim the gems that could be found inside."
She back up and sat down in the middle cave, feeling extremely frightened for the first time. Metamorphosis' reflection disappeared and it went to the wall behind her. He finished, "And now, you're prison."
There was bound to be somepony inside the cave with her. Twilight got up, started running, and shouted, "Help! Help!"
Metamorphosis only laughed at her helplessness. His reflection once again disappeared from the wall. Twilight found herself running to another dead end, it seemed like there was no way out. Right beside her a stalagmite showed Meta's face; she started crouching down against the cave floor. "It's no use. No one can hear you. And no one will ever think to look for you, either." His reflection started flickering off different parts of the walls, "Most ponies have forgotten that these caves even exist, which is why they are the ideal place to keep the ones who try to interfere with our plans." He started laughing at the ingenious scheme. She looked up and asked, "Plans? What plans?"
He looked down at her in half shock; he was surprised that it wasn't obvious yet. He answered, "The plans I have for Princess Cadence, of course."
This shocked the young unicorn, her brother was truly evil. Not only that, he was actually planning to take over Canterlot. Even though she felt sadden by this, she was deeply enraged. The magic from her horn started intensifying. She glared up at Metamorphosis and fumed, "Don't you dare do anything to Cadence you…" she choked up a little, but still seethed, "you monster! "
He smirked a little at her. He mocked, "Only way to stop me is to catch me."
He laughed and ran off. His reflection disappeared from the walls. Twilight stood there shocked, she had no idea how she was going to catch him. His laughter vibrated off the walls. He ended up behind her once again. He chuckled, "Over here!"
Once again, she got shocked, but that was easily replaced by anger. She turned around and tried blasting Metamorphosis. Unfortunately, he disappeared and the blast ended up bouncing off of it and bounced off of the walls. Twilight ducked, so she could stay away from the deadly beam. The beam's trajectory was right in front of Twilight, she back up before it could hit her. Meta's face went below her. He continued, "Nope," he disappeared again and ended up behind her again, "over here!"
He started laughing again at her. She ducked down and covered her face. She felt a little hopeless, but refused to give up. She started blasting at all of his reflections. It seemed like she got him, but then she noticed that she just missed. She tried one more time and took aim. Her beam shot out at the reflection and broke the entire cavern wall. On the other side of the appeared to be Shining Armor, but Twilight wasn't too happy to see him this time. She gave Shining a menacing glare. He shouted, "No! Wait!"
She didn't try listening to him. Twilight tackled down Shining and got ready to charge up her horn. She stopped when she heard him say, "No, don't…Twily, it's me!" she arched an eyebrow, "Please, you have to believe me! I've been imprisoned like you. The Shining Armor that brought you down here is an impostor."
Twilight snorted, "Likely story!"
He knew he had to think of way to tell her the truth. He needed to tell her something that only he and Twilight would know. A memory came to him. He said, "Do you remember the time when you split punch all over mom's wedding dress, and it stained; so you thought that the best way to get was-"
Twilight's face got very hot and she started to blush a bright red. To cut him off, she hugged him and exclaimed, "It is you!"
He hugged her back and said, "Of course it is! I would never do anything to hurt you."
He looked up when he heard Metamorphosis' laughter in the distance. There was bright that spark off in the exact direction. It had to be the way out. Twilight let go of Shining Armor. "We have to get out of here! We have to stop him!" She announced. Shining nodded in agreement and ran towards the spark, she followed after him. Another one of Metamorphosis' laughs echoed in the cave.
Castle
"Everything is going perfectly, Chrysalis." Metamorphosis explained to his queen. He was talking to her through the dresser mirror. She was pleased with his progress. She responded, "Well, I'm impressed with you, shocked even. If everything keeps going at this rate, we'll be ruling over Canterlot in no time. We're so very close, Metamorphosis. Do not fail me!"
Chrysalis' reflection vanished from the mirror. Metamorphosis transformed back into Shining. He was dressed in a black wedding vest that had one blue sash that crossed over his shoulder. He smiled evily and chuckled, "Trust me, no one will stop us."
He levitated a red rose over to his chest and put it on the vest. Metamorphosis began singing, "This day is going to be perfect." He turned away from the mirror, "The kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small."
"All those Armor loving bores," he enchanted the manikins to make them bow to him and he played along, "say I look great in uniform. What they don't know is that I have fooled them all!" His eyes changed into a chilling bright green.
Shining ran through the caves with Twilight, hoping to find a way out before it's too late. He sang, "This day was going to be perfect." He slowed down his running and sat down, "The kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small. But instead of having cake with all my friends to celebrate," Twilight put her hoof on his shoulder and gave him a consoling look, "my wedding bells may never ring for me at all."
"I care not a thing about the ring!" He walked over to a table that had a basket full of apples and kicked them down. "I won't partake in any cake." He went over to a mare manikin that had a green dress on, as well as a green headband with a flower. Metamorphosis continued, "Vows, well, I'll be lying when I say:" He began caressing the manikin, "That through any kind of weather I'll want us to be together. The truth is that I don't care for her at all!"
He flipped up the headband and zapped his magic at it. The headband disintegrated and turned to a pile of ash. He stomped on the ash and sang, "No, I do not love the bride, for my heart is dead inside! " He went over to the mirror and smirked, "But, I still want her to be mine!"
The two were further into the tunnel and still didn't find any openings. The most they found were dead ends or just more tunnels. "We must escape before it's too late. Find a way to save the day." Shining went on. Twilight and Shining ran over to what seemed to be a tunnel, but it only turned out to be another dead end. The little bit of hope they had were disappearing, but both of them were determined. He continued, "Hope, I'll be lying if I say, "I don't fear that I may lose her to one who wants to use her:""
There was a mine cart and a track was in the way. The cart was filled with rocks so, it was going to be hard to move, even with magic. Another spark came from a far end of the cave. Twilight wasn't too sure about the obstacle, but Shining didn't give up. He resumed, ""not care for, love, and cherish her each day"."
He ran over to the cart and started pushing it. Unfortunately, it barely moved. He sang out, "For I oh-so love the bride. Oh, in my heart she does reside."
She felt sorry for him, so she levitated the rocks out of the cart and put Shining inside. She galloped over to the cart. He smiled at his sister's compassion as Twilight started pushing the cart. He went on, "Oh, Princess Cadence, I'll soon be by your side."
The cart started zooming down the tracks at an alarming speed. As they were going down, there was a board that stopped the cart; unfortunately it didn't stop Shining or Twilight. They both flung out of the cart and started flying over the extensive gap. Twilight clung onto her brother when they started falling and she closed her eyes. She opened her eyes when she that they were floating. Shining put an orb around them so that they could float to the other side.
Metamorphosis got into the ballroom and saw everyone there. It was everything that he and Chrysalis dreamed, and soon that dream will become a reality when all of Canterlot and Equestria will be bowing at their hooves. He laughed, but hid it. He whispered, "They don't even know what's coming to them."
Celestia heard only a little of what he said. She asked, "What was that, Shining Armor?"
He shook his head and lied, "Oh, I said that I'm excited for me and Cadence."
She smiled at him and took his answer. When she looked away, Metamorphosis rolled his eyes. He couldn't wait to bring down the Princesses. There were loud trumpets that announced the bride's arrival. He turned around and looked towards the doors. As soon as the flower girls started coming down the aisle, Cadence soon came through. Nopony noticed that her eyes were still green and she was walking down in a daze. Meta sang, "Finally the moment has arrived, for me, take a very lucky bride."
He smiled at her when she came up to his side. Everything's going perfectly, Metamorphosis thought, eagerly.
The orb disappeared when they were at the other side, but what they thought was an opening was just another dead end. The two stared up in horror at their obstacle. Believe it or not, Shining was almost close to tears. He cried out, "Oh, the wedding we won't make she'll end up marrying a fake. Princess Cadence, will be-"
He dropped down to the ground unable to finish the rest. Twilight walked over to her sadden brother and tried consoling him.
As Celestia was speaking, Metamorphosis looked at Cadence and smiled evily at her. Cadence looked at him and gave him a smile as if nothing is going wrong. She still had the spell put on her, it seemed like nothing will break her out of it. Metamorphosis looked forward and whispered eerily, "She'll be mine. All mine."
He let out a soft, but evil laugh.
The Reveal
The muffled sounds of the coronation could be heard in the caves, which made Shining Armor even more determined to get to his bride. He pushed on the rock with all his might, hoping that somehow it would cause it to move. Twilight was right by his side, helping him push as well (even though she knew this would never work). But, she wouldn't dare leave her brother at a time like this. After a few more pushes, Shining let out an exasperated sigh and said sullenly, "Oh, we're never going to save her."
The loving sister placed a hoof on his shoulder and consoled, "We will."
The two backed away from the rock and looked around for another exit. Due to the limited lighting, it was very hard to find any ledges or holes in their prison. She continued, "We just need to find…"
She looked up at what seemed to be a protrusion and narrowed her eyes. It was! There was a ray of light that beamed down on the ledge; that could be their freedom! They're going to save Cadence! Twilight went over to her brother and tapped his shoulder. He looked up and smiled when he saw the exit. He nodded to her and went by her side. Twilight's horn glowed, in a flashing light they disappeared, and then reappeared on the ledge. There were rocks that acted as a staircase up to the hole, they weren't exactly sure where it led, but it was there only way out. The two only got in a few steps until they saw a pair of three green glowing eyes. They backed up a bit in fear; once the eyes got into the light they saw it was the old bridesmaids. Twinkleshine, Lyra, and Minuette whispered eerily, "You're not going anywhere ."
The three unicorns charged up their horns and blasted at the two escapers. The three blasts combined as one powerful ray, which blinded the brother and sister. Twilight closed her eyes and got ready for the impact, but when it didn't come, she opened them up and saw Shining Armor using his magic to form a shield. Unfortunately, his magic is very weak and it didn't seem like he could keep it up for long. The three ex-bridesmaids walked closer to the two, causing them to back up closer to the edge. Shining got down on one leg and began sweating; his shield was slowly fading away. Lyra growled, "You will not mess with Metamorphosis' take over."
Twinkle joined in, "You and all of Equestria will be crushed under the King and Queen's iron hoof."
As they were talking, they got up closer to the diminishing shield, causing the beam to get stronger and the two to get closer to the edge. Twilight looked around for a way to escape, but there was nothing there. This can't be the end can it, she thought depressingly. She looked around once more and saw a bouquet of purplish gray flowers wedged in rocks. Looking at the bridesmaids one last time, she surrounded the flowers in her horn's aura and levitated the flowers closer to her. Shining looked back at her and asked, "What're you-"
She responded, "Trust me."
She levitated the flowers above the bridesmaids' heads hoping for a reaction. Seconds later, the unicorns stopped their magic and looked up at the bouquet. Shining let go of the shield and looked at the three questionably. Twilight moved the bouquet in a mocking motion, enjoying the sight of the bridesmaids following it like dogs. She finally threw the bouquet and the three leaped at it shouting, "I want it!"
Shining only raised an eyebrow. He looked down at this sister and queried, "How did you know they would fall for that?"
"Once you become a bridesmaid, it's in your genetic code to catch bouquet of flowers, especially if you're desperate enough to try," she explained to her confused brother. The two only chuckled at the response. After a little laugh, the two began climbing the rocks to their freedom.
Metamorphosis smiled and said, "I do."
The wedding was soon to be over, finally he and his queen will soon take over Canterlot. Maybe even all of Equestria! Nothing can go wrong now, he thought very happily. He looked up at the two princesses (Luna and Celestia) and gave them a fake happy, sugary smile. Celestia announced, "Princess Cadence and Shining Armor, it is my and my sister's great pleasure to pronounce you-"
A booming sound of a door opening could be heard and then a shout, "Stop! "
Meta's eyes shrank and he turned around and saw Twilight standing at the door. What! How did she escape!? He whined, "This isn't supposed to be ha-ha-happening!"
The crowd of ponies looked at him and started chattering in confusion. Luna and Celestia gave him suspicious stares. He continued, "I mean, can't you tell! She's ruining mine…I mean, me and Cadence's big day!"
Luna asked, "I don't understand. Why are thou messing with Shining Armor and Mi Amore's special day?"
Twilight was about to answer, until a voice thundered, "Because it's not his special day!"
The bearer of the voice appeared and the crowd gasped. Meta just clenched his teeth in anger. The real Shining finished, "It's mine!"
Well, I guess I can just drop the act now. Thank Taurus! Meta thought gleefully. He asked, "How did you escape my minions?"
Twilight answered, "They were bridesmaids, just throw a bouquet and they'll go running."
Pinkie began laughing and everyone stared at the party pony. "What? It's funny because it's true! Heehee," she giggled. Turning his attention away from Pinkie, Meta scoffed, "Hmph. Clever. But it doesn't matter. You're too late."
Applejack looked back and forth between the two captains and asked, "Ah-ah don' understand. How can there be two of 'em?"
Shining Armor walked up the aisle and explained, "He's a changeling. He takes the form of somepony you love and gains power by feeding off your affection for them."
Everypony muttered in shock and confusion, as they stared at the duplicate Shining Armor in the room with suspicious eyes. Anger building inside of him, Meta's eyes shined a dangerous green, causing the guests to gasp in fear. He boomed, "ENOUGH! "
Green flames circled around him and soon engulfed his entire body, which sent bright a light around the whole room. Once everypony's eyes adjusted to the light, they all gasped at the monster's transformation. The white coat turned a disheartening black, the cool blue hair turned into a sickeningly dark green, and his eyes no longer a calming blue but a spine-tingling green. Once the transformation was done, Metamorphosis laughed at the pony's expressions. He chimed, "Right you are, Captain. And as king of the changelings, it is up to me to find food for my subjects. Equestria has more love than any place we've ever encountered. My fellow changelings will be able to devour so much of it, that we'll gain more power than we have ever dreamed of!"
Twilight corrected, "Is that so? Well, they'll never get the chance. My brother's protection spell will keep them from even coming in contact with us."
"Oh, you mean the spell that your brother wasn't able to do. You know, with being imprisoned and all," Meta pointed out. The brother and sister shared worried looks, which caused the king to break out into laughter joined by the brainwashed Cadence. Shining only growled at the changeling. He stomped his hoof on the ground and charged up his horn to get ready to shoot the unsuspecting king. But once the beam left his horn, it got countered by another ray. Out of the shadows came another changeling, it was the queen, Chrysalis. She warned, "Ah, ah, ah. Don't want to go back to the caves, now do you?"
Shining clenched his teeth in frustration, but backed down. The queen went on, "Ever since my husband took your place, he has been too busy feeding off Princess Cadence's love for you. So, every moment he doesn't do the spell, the shield grows weaker. Even now, our minions are chipping away at it."
Shining was about to point out something, but Meta interrupted, "Plus, I know you taught Cadence the spell. She can't perform it either. She may not be my wife (unfortunately), but she is under my total control now."
Shining Armor and Twilight's eyes went small and they both gasped. Meta finished, "And I'm sorry to say, she'll be unable to help Shining Armor perform his duties as Captain of the Royal Guard!"
"Not my bride!" Shining exclaimed, his heart breaking at thought of his wife being taken away. Chrysalis chortled, "Ha ha ha! Soon, our changeling army will break through. First, we take Canterlot, and then all of Equestria! "
The king and queen smiled maliciously at each other, until they heard hoofsteps and a voice that snarled, "No."
They turned to look behind them and saw Luna and Celestia with livid expressions. The two glowered at the princesses. Celestia warned, "You won't," she continued, "you may have made it impossible for Shining Armor to perform his spell, but now that you have so foolishly revealed your true self-"
Luna finished, "We can protect our subjects," the two flew up into the air, "from you!"
The two put their horns together, charged up, and shot a beam down at the queen. Chrysalis charged up her horn and shot a beam at them, which was thinner than the princesses. The larger beam cut through the smaller one, getting closer to the changeling. She shouted, "Oh, no!"
Luna and Celestia smiled triumphantly, knowing that this will all come to an end very soon. Their eyes shrank when they saw Metamorphosis coming to aid his wife. He bellowed, "My queen! "
He charged his horn as well and joined his power with his wife's. Both of their powers combined were enough to push back the princesses' ray. Luna and Celestia's eyes widened when they saw the green beam drawing near. Out of love and protection, Celestia pushed Luna out of the way and got thrashed by the beam. The eldest crashed down on to the ground, her crown flying off to the corner of the room. The whole room gasped in horror that one of their princesses were defeated. The crowd began panicking and ran outside of the castle for their safety. In the fray, Twilight shouted, "Princess Celestia!"
Her and her friends ran down to their fallen princess. Meanwhile, Metamorphosis just stood in shock. He beamed, "Ah! Princess Cadence's love for you is even stronger than I thought! Consuming it has made us even more powerful than the royal sisters!"
When Twilight and her friends went by Celestia's side, she wasn't responding to their calls. The protégé cried, "Celestia, please answer."
Luna walked up to the disheartened student and consoled, "Don't fret; I will take care of my sister. It's only right, due to her saving my life. But, Twilight and friends," the six look up at the moon princess, "the Elements of Harmony. You must get to them and use their power to defeat the king and queen."
The six friends looked at each other and nodded. Four of them threw of their dresses and ran to the door, but stopped once they saw the fashonista trying to collect the dresses. The five shouted, "Rarity!"
She stopped what she was doing, threw off her dress, and ran up to the group. Meta laughed, "Oh, I don't think so."
He shot a beam out at Twilight. Shining Armor was about to go save his sister, but he got shot at by Chrysalis and fell to the ground unconscious. Just to take precaution, she knocked out Luna as well when she wasn't paying attention. The beam-unfortunately-hit Twilight and caused her to get wrapped in a green gelatinous cocoon. The five friends gasped and turned around to help their friend, until she shouted, "Don't worry; I'm fine!"
Fluttershy asked, "A-Are you sure?"
She grunted, "Yes, I'm okay! Just go!"
The five nodded and began running outside. Chrysalis flew up, went towards the door, and shouted, "You can run, but you can't hide!"
Twilight struggled in the cocoon when she felt herself being levitated towards Metamorphosis. The wiggling did nothing except get her back hooves out, as well as her head. She glowered at the king and warned, "You won't get away with this!"
He chuckled, "I'm afraid I already have."
He laughed once more when he saw Twilight's struggling get increasingly harder. He said, "I wouldn't struggle too much if I were you, the cocoon only gets tighter if you do," he added, "not that I'm saying you should stop. I'm pretty sure tightness will accent your features quite nicely."
Her face turned bright red in embarrassment and anger. She kicked her back legs at his muzzle, which caused him to squeak in pain. She fumed, "Pervert!"

Alright, I hope you enjoyed this new chapter! I also hoped you liked the mini-battle between Shining Armor and the bridesmaids. I just felt like they needed to be a bit more intense, due to the fact that they didn't really do anything in the actual episode. Anyway, please leave a comment down below. Chrysalis looked up in contentment as her minions formed a gelatinous cocoon around the two sister princesses. She whispered eerily, "Perfect; with the princesses out of the way nothing can stop us from taking over!"
The Queen's eyes widened when she a grunt from behind. She turned and saw Shining Armor struggling to get out of his gungy shackles; the sadness of this scene caused the Queen to chuckle. She walked over to Shining and gleefully informed, "The only way you can escape those shackles is if you use your magic, which you severely lack of course!"
She smirked down at the glaring unicorn. Shining's glare soon turned sorrowful as he turned to stare at his hypnotized wife. Chrysalis noticed this and mockingly consoled, "Oh don't worry your fiancé will remained unharmed," Shining turned to her in surprise. She finished, "…until we no longer need her of course."
He clenched his teeth in anger and glared at her again. Chrysalis, suddenly looking malicious, continued, "Then she'll be turned into a lifeless husk," her horn began glowing as she finished, "just like you!"
Shining struggled even harder to get of the shackles vice-like grips, but his efforts were fruitless! Chrysalis smiled as she slowly lowered her horn to Shining's. Her horn touched his and the pink aura surrounding his horn slowly seeped into Chrysalis's. The captain's jaw clenched as every single bit of his energy was getting sucked away. He squinted as he tried to ignore the fiery pain coursing through his veins; he tried to pull away, but it felt like he was in a trance. So, he did nothing but succumbed to his fate and watched as he slowly started to lose consciousness. This was it; he wasn't ever going to see his friends, family, and his wife ever again.
At least that would've been his fate, if it wasn't for Chrysalis stopping her actions when she heard Twilight scream. So instead of getting completely drained, Shining just fell down unconscious. Chrysalis walked over to her deadbeat husband and asked deadpanned, "What are you doing?"
King Metamorphosis was stuck in his position, which was his tongue licking up Twilight's chin. Wide eyed, he got up, stuck his tongue back in his mouth, and said, "Nooooothiiiinnnngggg."
Chrysalis gave him an unamused look and just rolled her eyes. Twilight wiggled in her cocoon and shouted, "You won't get away with this!"
Chrysalis and Meta raised an eyebrow. Twilight continued, "Any second now, my friends will come bursting through those doors," she nodded towards the entrance and went on, "and we're going to kick your-"
She was interrupted when the doors to the ballroom boomed. She grinned at thought of her friends coming through the doors with the Elements of Harmony in hoof. Unfortunately, the smile on her face slowly turned into a look of horror, when she saw her friends getting carried in by the changelings. The friends had bruises in multiple places, their manes were unkempt, and they had a few cuts with bits of blood dripping out. They looked like they had gone through a fierce hurricane! Chrysalis grinned and mocked, "You were saying?"
The Queen and King walked over towards the unicorn's friends, who looked up at them with obvious embarrassment and resentment. Meta informed, "You do realize the reception has been cancelled, don't you?"
He turned towards their minions and ordered, "Go! Feed!"
The changelings zoomed out of the window to suck the love out of all the residents. Twilight looked at her friends in shock and exclaimed, "What happened to you guys!?"
Rarity started, "There were changelings everywhere!"
"We didn' know whuh ta do," Applejack went on, hiding her face behind her hat. Rainbow crossed her forelegs and beamed, "Of course, I had the brilliant idea to fight them!"
Pinkie Pie jumped in, "But, then they started changing to look exactly like us! Well, they tried to look like me, but it wasn't even close. I mean how in all of Equestria do you forget my cuteness!?"
Fluttershy covered Pinkie's mouth with her hoof and finished, "We were a little scared to fight; we didn't know who was who, and we definitely didn't want to hurt each other."
"It-It was completely d-dreadful, T-Twilight!" Rarity sobbed. Twilight casted her remorseful gaze at the floor, if only she would've been there none of that would've happened (A/N: Not that I'm saying her friends aren't smart or are useless, it was just too stressful of a situation to think through it and that's why they failed. ). The sad unicorn got startled when she heard Metamorphosis laugh; she scowled at him and growled, "What so funny!?"
Meta rolled his eyes and replied, "Well since you asked so nicely, Twilight here was suspicious of my behavior all along. Too bad the rest of you were too caught up in your wedding planning to realize those suspicions were true!"
Rarity sighed, "We all should've known Twilight's brother would never act so harshly to her own friends."
Pinkie pie gave the ponies a confused look and put out, "He was never harsh to me. Actually, he loved my party ideas!"
After actually taking in all the decorations, Chrysalis shivered in disgust and thought to herself, No wonder why it looks like a kindergartner threw up in here! Meta turned to his wife, glared, and whispered, "You know I can hear you!"
She smirked at him and nodded. Snapping back their attentions to the Equines, they heard Applejack solemnly apologize, "Sorry, Twi. We shoulda listened ta ya."
Twilight shook her head and comforted, "It's not your fault. He fooled everypony." She turned her head down in sadness and whispered, "He even fooled me."
Chrysalis turned away from the ponies, with her husband following, and stated, "Hmm, he did, didn't he?"
The two walked over towards a window and gazed down at their changeling army wreaking havoc on the horrified ponies. Rainbow looked at them questionably and whispered to her four friends, "Are they gonna start singing?"
Chrysalis started singing, "This day has been just perfect-"
The five groaned, "Yep."
"The kind of day of which we've dreamed since were small," Meta finished for her. He flew out the window and boomed triumphantly, "Everypony we'll soon control!"
Chrysalis flew out with him and continued, "Every stallion, mare, and foal. Who says a couple of has-beens can't have it all!?"
The Queen, King, and army all laughed evilly at the event unfolding below them. Meanwhile, the five ponies that they forgot to immobilize were discussing a plan. Applejack murmured, "Alrigh', while those two 'r distracted, Fluttershy and Rarity: you two go an' free Shining Armor. Me an' Rainbow 'r goin' ta git Twi' outta tha' cocoon. Pinkie," Pinkie smiled and blinked at her. AJ finished, "Uh…you keep an eye out on those two."
Pinkie saluted to the cowpony and whispered, "Yes ma'am!" She turned towards the window, closed one eye, and watched the two. This caused her friends to shake their heads, but still smile at the party pony. Rainbow half whispered and half shouted, "Alright! Let's go!"
The four nodded and started tip-toeing to their stations. When Rarity and Fluttershy got over to Shining, they were stunned to see him lying on the ground limp. Flutters gasped, "Y-you d-don't think he's…*gulp*…d-d-dead, do you?"
Rarity walked up to his side, lied down, and put her ear on his chest. It took a few seconds, but she sighed in relief when she heard a heartbeat. She consoled, "It's alright Fluttershy; he's just unconscious."
Fluttershy put her hoof to her chest and breathed out. She looked down at the shackles and asked, "Um…how're we supposed to free him?"
Rarity tapped her chin and said, "Don't worry; I'm thinking." It's a good thing there isn't anypony in there that can read thoughts...Am I right?
At the moment, Rainbow and AJ made it over to Twilight, who was still looking sadly at the ground. AJ tapped the unicorn's shoulder. Twilight looked up and beamed at her friends, but that smile was short lived. She looked at them in confusion and asked, "What're you doing?"
Rainbow replied, "We're breaking ya out of that cocoon, of course!"
Rainbow and AJ clamped their jaws down on the gooey shell and started pulling on it. Unfortunately, the shell was too stretchy. Rainbow Dash was pulling up at the ceiling and Applejack was pulling near the entrance. The two let go and massaged their tired jaws. Rainbow flew down to Twilight and Applejack trotted back to her. The cowpony sighed, "Sorry, Twi. This thing is jus' ain't givin' in."
Rainbow asked, "Can't you use your magic?"
"I can, but I can't get a good angle. I need something to reflect the beam," Twilight informed the two. Applejack put a hoof to her chin and said, "Lemme think of a-"
The unicorn interrupted, "No!"
She flinched and looked at the window. The Queen and King were still blissfully unaware of what was going on. Twilight continued, "Don't think. King Metamorphosis can read our thoughts."
AJ's and Rainbow's jaw dropped. They looked over Rarity and Flutters who seemed to be deep in thought. The two just gulped and hoped the two were just in silence at the moment.
Well, the two are in silence, they were just thinking of ideas…in silence. Unbeknownst to the Equines, King Metamorphosis heard Rarity's and Fluttershy's thoughts loud and clear. He growled under his breath, "There's no way they're going to ruin this for me."

Fluttershy and Rarity were still in complete silence, looking down at the unconscious Captain. Flutters gasped, causing Rarity to jump in surprise. The unicorn held her chest and asked, "You scared me to death, Fluttershy! Do you have an idea?"
After muttering an apology, Fluttershy said, "Well, maybe you can use your horn to melt the shackles."
"While that is a good plan, I'm not skilled in that field of magic," Rarity replied sadly. Now knowing this, Fluttershy's happy mood immediately diminished. Seeing that her friend was upset, the fashonista consoled, "Don't worry; Rainbow and Applejack are possibly close to freeing Twilight. When Twilight's freed, she'll be able to remove the shackles and then we'll figure out a way to save Equestria…again."
The timid Pegasus smiled a bit and asked, "You really think so?"
A baritone voice behind her mocked, "No, I really don't."
Rarity gasped when she saw who was behind Fluttershy and the pegasus was just frozen with fear. After a millisecond of silence, Fluttershy slowly looked up and whimpered when she saw Metamorphosis's murderous glare and flesh ripping bared teeth. The pegasus screamed and accidently jumped on top of Rarity. Meta snarled, "What do you think you're doing!?"
With a random burst of confidence, Rarity shouted, "Saving our friend!"
Meta busted into a blood chilling laughter, which caused Rarity to shrink down. The changeling scoffed, "You two were saving him? Oh please!"
He smiled maliciously at them, but then stopped and glowered. His horn began sparking. He growled, "You'll have to get past me first."
He shot a beam down at the two of them. The two ponies jumped out of the way just in time and began galloping towards their friends. The king snarled and flew towards them. Before Rarity and Fluttershy could shout for help, Meta landed right in front of them. The two slowly backed up. Meta, gradually advancing, hissed dangerously, "I'm not going to let my hard work get ruined by a couple of moronic equines!"
His horn started glowing and sparking. Rarity shot her magic at him, but it was just deflected by a shield he created. Fluttershy and Rarity got backed up against a pillar. The two grabbed onto each other and started shaking. Meta laughed at their cowardice. He whispered, "So long, girls."
The pegasus and unicorn closed their eyes and waited for the blast. Right when Metamorphosis was about to shoot them, he heard somepony say, "Hey, Metamorphosis!"
He turned his head and saw Rainbow Dash flying right next to him. She exclaimed, "Leave my friends alone!"
She bucked Metamorphosis's nose, which caused him to cry out in pain. Rarity and Fluttershy smiled at Rainbow. The two ran off to go help AJ. Meta rubbed his nose and snarled, "You'll pay for this!"
He shot at Rainbow. Effortlessly, she looped around the beam. She flew through the ball room while Meta was trying to shoot her down, distracting the changeling. Meanwhile, AJ, Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy were trying to get Twilight free. Twilight asked, "Are you sure Rainbow will be fine?"
AJ comforted, "Yeah, she's fine. Tha girl's strong."
"How are we going to get this off?" Rarity asked. AJ filled in, "We need ta find a way ta git Twi's magic ta blast this cocoon. But, ah can't find anything in here tha' can help."
As the four were looking around, Rainbow was getting exhausted from flying around. She muttered, "C'mon girls, hurry up! I can't keep this up."
Metamorphosis growled, "Hold still!"
He shot a beam at Rainbow, not realizing that she was positioned front of the window Chrysalis was at. Rainbow gasped and flew up to avoid the ray. The shot hit Chrysalis' back, causing the changeling to scream in agony. After hissing in pain, she turned around and saw her husband with an apologetic grin. She growled, "You miserable excuse for a changeling!"
Meta's eyes shrank when Chrysalis shot a ray at him. Sure, right now he's stronger than her, but that doesn't mean her power won't leave a bruise. He ducked down and avoided the attack. Unfortunately, the beam was going straight towards Twilight! Twilight looked up and gasped as the ray was coming straight towards her and her friends. She shouted, "Run!"
The four looked at her in confusion, but stared wide eyed at the beam heading straight for them. Listening to Twilight's command, the four ran off in different directions. Twilight took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
The beam hit her; there was a boom, and an intense white light. Everypony in the room shielded their eyes. Once the light was gone, they opened their eyes and saw a massive crater. Twilight's friends cried, "Twilight!"
After hearing the shouting, Shining Armor woke up and gasped at the pit. He whispered sullenly, "Tw-Twily," he then shouted, "Twilight!"
The Mane five walked over to the crater and found Twilight lying inside, motionless. Pinkie, her hair now deflated, cried, "Tw-Twilight."
She didn't answer or move. The five began crying at the loss of their friend. Shining Armor, tearing up, whispered, "N-No, this can't be."
He looked up at Meta, who was still gawking at the crater. Shining, now his blood boiling, shouted, "Look at what you did! Twilight's d-dead because of you!"
Meta looked at Shining, then back at the crater. Guilt started to fill his blackened heart, and it made him feel sick to his stomach He murmured, mostly to himself, "I-I…I didn't m-"
He was interrupted by Chrysalis's laughing. She rejoiced, "Yes! Finally! Now we can rule over Equestria without any interference! But, just in case, shackle her friends, Metamorphosis."
Coming out of his trance-like state, Meta looked over at his wife, still in complete shock. He asked, "W-What?"
She rolled her eyes and repeated, "You idiot! Shackle them, now!"
He sighed, but did as he commanded. He levitated the five crestfallen ponies and shackled them next to Shining Armor. Seeing the look of depression in Metamorphosis's eyes, Shining asked, "Is this really what you want? To be ruler of Equestria?"
He looked at Shining, a tiny bit offended, but then he looked at the crater. Do I want....No, of course it is! It's what me and Chrysalis has been striving for! Remembering his goals, he answered, "Of course...it's all I've ever wanted."
Chrysalis commanded, "Come, my darling. We no longer need to look after these peasants."
She flew through the window, knowing her husband will follow. Metamorphosis took a few steps towards the window, looked back at the depressed ponies,sighed, and then flew away. After the two left, Shining Armor started struggling in the gelatinous shackles. He looked at the five mares and saw they were motionless. He asked, "Aren't you guys going to help?"
Rarity sighed, "What's the point?"
AJ added, "We can't figure a way out these shackles. There jus' ain't no point."
"Equestria is doomed…a-a-and it's our fault," Fluttershy concluded dismally. The five mares looked down at the ground, feeling guilty for causing the death of their friend. Shining comforted, "No, you can't give up! You just can't! Would Twilight just allow you guys to qui-"
"Shut up! " Rainbow shouted at the top of her lungs. Her friends plus Shining looked at her. Tears rolling down her face, she sobbed, "Just, shut up! What hope do you think we have!? We're chained, we have no way to free ourselves, your magic is weakening, Cadence is still in a trance, the princesses are still unconscious and in a cocoon, and Twilight's gone! Don't you see? It's over!"
She began sobbing, uncontrollably. It didn't take long for the rest to follow. Shining stared at the crying friends and then at Cadence. He looked at the ground and sighed. Why did I have to check and see who was inside the castle that night? I mean it would've probably made this worse, but at least we would have a fighting chance, Shining thought grimly. He looked over at the crater and his eyes began tearing up. He whispered, "Twilight, I'm so sorry."
A/N: Okay, so, obviously this isn't the ending. I had an idea for two more chapters, the next one will be short, but it may take a while to get out. Also, could Metamorphosis be turning over a new leaf? Probably, not. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this weird chapter!
Metamorphosis hung his head down in thought, slowly following behind Chrysalis. The thought of Twilight being dead, oddly brought a shutter through his body. He knew that ponies were going to be harmed, but he never thought death was going to be put into the mix. He didn't even think about killing Shining Armor, just sucking away his magic, so that he can never overthrow him or his queen. Still, the thought of her being dead, Meta thought sullenly. He picked up his head, stopped flying, looked at Chrysalis, and turned around to look back at the castle. He thought, Maybe, I should....no. No! I can't go back to the castle! Why in all of Equestria would I!? So, who cares if the little brat is dead? That leaves one less pony to deal with. Besides, I already promised you.
He looked at Chrysalis with his head held high and thought to himself, I said to you Chrysalis that all of Equestria will be trembling under our hoof by the end of this day! And I will surely keep that vow. I promise you Chrysalis...
Every single part of her body ached, as she lied on the now cooling ground. It would even hurt to just shut her eyes, as she tried to block out the incessant spikes of pain ringing through her head. Twilight slowly picked up her head, only for it fall back down with a loud thud. She silently cried thinking, Is this it? It can't be...Can it? I can't just die here and leave everypony in the hoofs of those monsters! I can't. I have to- Twilight tried getting back to her hooves, but only ended up falling down. She let out a shaky sigh, choked back a few tears, and tried to get up once more. She thought to herself, This isn't over! It will not be over! I'm not going to abandoned my friends, she grabbed on to a protrusion, I'm not going to leave Cadence and my brother's wedding destroyed, she shakily grabbed on to another ledge, I'm not going to disappoint the princesses, she pulled herself out of the entrance of the hole, feeling a bit more strength hearing her friends gasp, and I'm not going to leave Equestria ravaged by those sadists.
Her friends gawked at the bruised up unicorn huffing, as she slowly crawled her way out of the hole. Shining spoke up, "T-Twily!?"
Twilight huffed, "I promise you everypony..."
Hearing his thoughts, Chrysalis turned around with a smirk on her face and asked, "What do you promise my king?"
With confidence and bravery in their eyes, Twilight and Metamorphosis shouted, "This will end! "
