My second life

Let me ask you a question that I have asked lot's of people that question is if you had the choice to die by the cold or to die by being put on fire. which one would you choose?

I know weird question I ask because my favourite element is ice I never liked the heat every time I asked the answer was always fire not once did I get the cold so I asked one person way the heat the answer I got was.

("when you get caught on fire you'll feel pain for a short time before it takes you but in the cold your going to feel pain for hours trying to stay warm before you die")

I said that's a good answer but because how much I hate the heat id still choose the cold he shrugged his shoulders and went on with our day.

and now here I am lost in a forest on the coldest day of winter it's minus forty and all I am wearing is a sweater and a light jacket you're probably wondering how i got here well here's how.

me and my family were on the road going to a family gathering until a wolf got on the road making my father swerve off the road and making the van flip a few times into the forest I lost consciousness at some point.

I don't know how long I was out when I woke up I was cold god was I cold I looked around and what I saw it should have made me freak. my family all dead branches from trees going through their bodies blood all over I look at my self wondering how I am not dead and again I should be freaking out there are two branches going through me one in the left shoulder and one in the stomach.

and now here am iv been like this for twelve minutes of unbearable pain wanting it to end wanting it to stop and the cold is only making it worse I cant stop shivering iv been keeping my eye on the clock on the dash board hoping that any minute it will finally end.

thinking  back to when I asked all those people that question I am wishing I could change my answer too late for that though. and now at fourteen minutes my vision starts to go blurry I take this time to look at my family one last time not knowing if ill see them on the other side or if there's even an other side.

things are starting to go dark looking at the clock fifteen minutes how I lasted fifteen minutes I don't know the branch in my stomach should have killed me. I can only guess the branch it's self was keeping everything inside me only letting blood leak out and the cold probably slowing it down I don't know I'm just guessing finally I feel my heart stop and everything goes dark I don't feel the pain any more I can rest in peace.

then my vision filled with the colour of the rainbow it's beautiful really and a bit shocking,why am I seeing this? I thought out loud

"because we want you to see it"

what the who's there what's going on?

"calm your self young one you will get your answers but please calm yourself first".said the voice.

I don't know who this voice is, it's female by the sound of it and it sounds calming,comforting and angelic,I thought to my self.

I take a couple minutes to calm my self "I am calm".I said

"good now to answer your second question and there is no easy way to say this but your dead and your not supposed to be it was not yet your time".she said

"what do you mean not supposed to be dead".I angrily shouted

"please be calm this type of situation very rarely happens you were to live for another sixty years we are sorry we did not see it in time to save you and what has happened cannot be undone I am sorry".she said

I didn't know what to do I wanted to be mad i wanted to yell,scream,shout but their would be no point what's done is done their was nothing I can do so I sighed and with a sad and defeated voice I said

-what happens now what happens to me?

-what happens now is we fix what has happen.she said

-wait what? I thought you said this can't be undone?

allow me to explain what has happened on your world cannot be undone but we can put you on a different world and this is also our fault we could have stopped it. so as a way to fix this and as an apology we will give you some abilities to help you survive on the new world as well as a new body,of course you will have to discover your new abilities on your own it is your choice if you want to go to the new world or stay in the after life.she said

I could not believe it I get a second chance in life on a new world if I want or I could stay here in the after life I can bet this does not happen often so I believe this is an easy choice.I thought to myself

"iv made my choice"

what have you chosen?

"I have chosen to go to this new world"

then it shall be done we wish you luck and a peaceful life.she said

as she said that a light in the middle of the rainbow got brighter and brighter.

oh and young one you will be getting a gift from me in the late future good bye.

wait what?

and then the light took me.

you ever get those dreams where you're falling and you wake up just before you hit the ground? ya that's what I am having right now.but all I can see is black it feels like iv been like this for hours just falling and in that time iv been thinking about the things that have happen the voice said ill get a new body and that ill get some abilities that will help me survive on this new world I am going to.I wonder what my new body will look like and what abilities ill have?

just then a light flashed and everything looked different I see leaves,branches,blue sky I don't know what to do right now so I lay there and just think.should I get up and look at my body to see how it is or should I look around to see if I'm safe first? my emotions are running wild so I move on impulse and just sit up and I look down immediately and to say I was shocked would be an understatement.

my body is definitely different the first thing I notice were my feet or should I say claw's I don't really know the best way for me to describe it.there are three claw's were I should have five toes and a single claw coming out from my heel and my foot looks a bit longer my new foot was scaly the scales went up my leg and stop just before my knees.

I look at my hands and they were the same but five claw's instead of fingers as well as scales going up my arm and stop just before the elbow.

I try to get up to get a better look at myself but it seems that the way my feet are I can't walk the same it took me a couple times it seems I got to on my tip toes or tip claws?or whatever with my knees bent a little.now that I am up I look down at my body it looks a bit different I cant really tell unless I have a mirror so turn my head to see anything behind me. I almost fall to my knees in shock for two things the one that made the biggest shock was that I have two leathery limbs coming out of my back... I have wings I have bloody wing but moving on before I have a heart attack from excitement.the second thing that shocked me was that I have a tail and it was long it looked like I could wrap it around a log and throw it if it's that strong I am not able to look at my face id need to find some pond or a river or something.

now that I got to see what I can of myself I look around to see where I am it looked like I was in a forest tall white trees every where it was really beautiful my family would love to camp here.

it was then that everything came back to me their dead my mind was running like wild my emotions were going crazy I was feeling it all sadness,anger all of it it was to much I could not take it it was all to much.I fell to the ground crying hard it was all to much I did not know what to do I just lay there crying I don't know how long but I felt so tired my eye's were heavy I just let go and went to sleep.

I did not notice a blue silhouette coming up to me.
