Edward Philips is a Reality Jumper. A job designated to humans in order to explore beyond the borders of Earth. Edward, however, wakes up near a bridge outside a little village called Ponyville in the land of Equestria knowing only four things: his name, his life prior to being sent away from Earth, his sentient magical tablet, The All-Seeing Eye, is there to aid him, and that waking up near Ponyville feels very familiar.

His only option then, is to befriend some of the townsfolk and hope he can work out what he's supposed to be doing. This task falls to the Mane Six, with the help of Spike and Zecora.

Together, they must travel throughout history, alternate dimensions, and different realities, for as The All-Seeing Eye explains, "Earth and Equestria are inexplicably intertwined...and there is a great evil lurking among you, waiting, waiting...waiting to make its move."
