Prologue
Wind blows on my face and making my eyes tear in irritation as I make away from the town of Appleloosa, I am on the road yet again. I say "yet again" for this is not the first time nor will it be the last time I flee from a place I temporarily called my home. I cannot afford the luxury of staying in one place for to long, for I am being hunted by those who wish to use me for the gift I possess.
My name is Jeremy, age 17, and I am not apart of this world. I was ripped from my own world many years ago to live as a slave under the tyrant known as Princess Celestia, a tyrant who wished to use my gift to preform her bidding. She ripped me away from everything in my life, stripped me of my humanity, destroyed my ability to speak, and then proceeded to try to control me by any means she could so that she could use my gift as her own.
In time, I escaped using the very gift that she fought to control. The gift I possessed was a gift that I had ever since I was born, but never knew about until the day she took me, the gift of creation. I can create and control entire worlds of my own through works of literature and art that I create, essentially making me a god of sorts. Many would think this gift was a blessing that should be cherished, but for me it was a curse, for it was this gift that has made me a target for all those who would wish to control such power.
So now, and ever since I escaped, I've been on the run. I move from town to town, never staying more that a week before moving on, constantly changing my name, never wearing the same clothing, and overall avoid making friends. It will always be like this, I will always be on the run, this will never change until I die or reach my ultimate goal; to return home. Until then, this is my life now in this hellish world.
A hellish world that my father created, even today after all these years, I still blame him for all of this...
I stop for a minute in order to pull out my map, I needed to plot a course for the town I was to settle down next, but I sigh as I see the next nearest town. The next town up was Ponyville, this was a big problem, a problem that I was hoping to avoid. I have heard Ponyville was home to six of Princess Celestia's prized pets, also known as the Bearers of some weird artifacts known as the Elements of Harmony, and, being the loyal pets as they are, will likely be looking for me.
However, I say "Likely" because there is a chance that they might not be. Ever since I have escaped Celestia never seemed to make a big deal about it. No wanted or missing person posters ever sprung up, I had yet to find any of Celestia's guards actively pursuing me, and it didn't even seem that she actually bothered to do anything to find me after my escape. But to assume that I am completely safe is a idea that I cannot afford to believe, for all I know she wants me to feel safe and let my guard down.
None the less, as much as I would prefer to skip the town and avoid the risk entirely, I only have enough supplies to last me long enough to get me to Ponyville, making skipping the town completely out of the question. I have to stop there, even if it kills me or worse. All I can do is get in and get out as quickly as I possibly can, avoid the Bearers whoever they may be at any cost, and hope is that it won't actually end up killing me.
I let out another sigh as I roll up my maps, put them away, and move on. There is a lot of road ahead and there is no sense wasting my time here to avoid the inedible risk I will have to take. I start to make my way down the road, thus starting the painfully long walk to Ponyville.
God, just the thought of how far I am going to have to travel makes me I wish I would risk using the train every once in a while, but after what happened last time I'd rather not risk it. Yeah, don't want a repeat of last time, last time was bad.
As I walked I began to think about Celestia, wondering what she was doing right now...
***
Celestia was in her studies, reading over a unlabeled book that looked to be almost fit to be a diary. However, this was no normal book to Celestia. To Celestia this was her only hope of finding something she had lost three years ago, or in this case someone. Within the book, there was thousands upon thousands of stories that all related to this world. All of them were stories of everything and everyone who exists and has existed here, telling their entire life's tale of what they've done, what they will do, what happened to them, and what will happen to them.
As interesting as some of these stories were, she was far more interested in finding something in particular within the stories. She was looking for someone who didn't have a story in this book, someone who wouldn't have a story in this book, she was looking for a certain character who didn't belong.
"Where are you Jeremy?" Celestia asked herself.
The book provided no answers to her question, but she was bound determined that it would eventually. After all, the book has never failed her before.
"Can't hide forever, Jeremy. Eventually you will make a mistake and I will find you. Hopefully, before you do something regrettable..." Celestia thought to herself.
She closed the book to take a break, she had been at it all night and it had become time for her to attend to her royal duties. The sun was not going rise itself after all.
Before exiting the room she briefly looked back at the book, thinking about the consequences that will be put upon this world if she doesn't retrieve him before someone else does. She knew the kind of power Jeremy held, the power of gods, a power that cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hooves. If he was to fall into the wrong hooves all of Equestria might pay for it. For every day he was out there was another chance that Equestria and the rest of the world might meet its end, it was this thought that sent shivers down Celestia's spine.
Celestia questioned herself why she didn't just kill him while she had the chance...
"He can't hide forever, I will find him eventually..." Celestia reassured herself as she closed the door behind her, leaving the book and the room in silence.
"...And when I do, I will finish what I started."
