*Forest*

  (Lightning and Stealth are walking through the forest, but hear screams and are squished by the Cutie Mark Crusaders)

  Lightning Strike: Ow! What the juice?

  Apple Bloom: See anything?

  Scootaloo: Tree sap and pine needles, but no cutie mark.

  Lightning Strike: Whoa, girls. What are you doing?

  Sweetie Belle: Oops. Sorry Lightning and Stealth. Didn't see you there. (Crusaders jump off Lightning and Stealth)

  Scootaloo: We were trying to earn our cutie marks through zip lining.

  Stealth Firefist: Girls, that's very dangerous. The least could have done is invite me for it.

  Scootaloo: Dangerous or not, we still didn't get our cutie marks.

  Sweetie Belle: Plan B?

  Scootaloo: Yeah. You know where we can find a cannon at this hour?

  Stealth Firefist: Yeah, you can buy a cheap and usable one at the- (Gets look from Lightning) On second thought never mind it's still dangerous.

  Scootaloo: It's no use! No matter what we try, we always end up without our cutie marks. And, surprisingly often, covered in tree sap.

  Apple Bloom: This town is full of ponies who have their cutie marks. Why don't we ask them how they did it?

  Sweetie Belle: That's a great safe idea.

  Scootaloo: Yeah! And we can start with the coolest pony in Ponyville.

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: Lightning?

  Lightning Strike: (Blushes) Well, I'm not sure if I'm not that cool.

  Scootaloo: Okay, the pony's as cool as Lightning.

  Apple Bloom: Applejack!

  Sweetie Belle: Rarity!

  Scootaloo: Come on, guys, I said "cool"! You know who I'm talking about. She's fast. She's tough. She's not afraid of anything!

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: Pinkie Pie?

  Stealth Firefist: That's who came up in my mind when she asked that.

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: Pinkie Pie?

  Stealth Firefist: Exactly.

  Scootaloo: No! The greatest flyer ever to come out of Cloudsdale.

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: Fluttershy? Lightning?

  Lightning Strike: You kinda guessed that already.

  Scootaloo: No! Rainbow Dash!

  Apple Bloom: Oh! Yeah, that makes much more sense, for Fluttershy.

  Sweetie Belle: Of course!

  Scootaloo: Let's do it. Let's find out how Rainbow Dash earned her cutie mark!

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: YEAH!

  (Cutie mark Crusaders try to break free of sap and Lightning uses his magic to get them free. Cutie Mark Crusaders are about to run to Rainbow Dash but are stopped by Lightning Strike)

  Lightning Strike: Whoa girls. We cannot let you just go out on your own. So we're coming with you. Come on Stealth. (Realizes Stealth is somewhere else) Stealth?

  Stealth Firefist: (Flying with a fly glider) I CAN FLY! (Crusaders and Lightning duck while Stealth crashes into tree) I can feel pain! (Shrugs off pain) (Laughs)

  Lightning Strike: Stealth, I told you not to use the glider until a few more hours. Remember the incident you had last time?

  Stealth Firefist: Oh, okay, but I still think should be trusted to use it right now.

*Later*

(Cutie Mark Crusaders, Lightning and Stealth come up toward trio of bunnies and let them past)

  Applejack: Get back here, you thievin' varmints!

  Apple Bloom: Thievin' what now?

  (Applejack pounces out of the bushes but lands on Stealth and Lightning)

  Applejack: Stealth? Lightnin'?

  Lightning Strike: Ow.

  (Applejack gets off of the two)

  Apple Bloom: Hey sis! How'd you get your cutie mark?

  Applejack: I never told you that story?

  Scootaloo: Hey! I thought we were gonna ask Rainbow Dash.

  Apple Bloom: We need all the help we can get.

  Scootaloo: Ugh. Fine.

  Applejack: Why, shoot. I was just a little filly. Even littler than y'all. (Starting to Flashback) It started on a bright, sunny mornin'...

  Stealth Firefist: (Stops Flashback) Boring! Just get to the part when you tell the story.

  Applejack: Okay. As I was sayin'.

  *Applejack's Flashback*

  Applejack: (voiceover) I didn't want to spend my life on a muddy old apple farm. I wanted to live the sophisticated life, like my Aunt n' Uncle Orange. So I set out to try my luck in the big city, Manehattan! The most cosmopolitan city in all of Equestria. (Young Applejack arrives in Manehattan and knocks on door) I knew I find who I was meant to be in Manehattan.

  Young Applejack: Aunt Orange! Uncle Orange! Thank y'all so much for lettin' me stay!

  Aunt Orange: "Y'all". (laughs) Isn't she just the living end?

  Uncle Orange: (chuckles) How quaint.

  Aunt Orange: Don't worry. We'll have you acting like a true Manehattanite in no time.

  *Dinner Party*

  William Wright: And how are you finding good old Manehattan?

  Young Applejack: Oh, it's simply divine.

  Aunt Orange: Very well said, my dear.

  Young Applejack: Although, I must admit the city noise took some getting used to. Where I'm from, nights are so quiet you seldom hear a peep until the roosters wake you.

  Dainty Dove: The... what?

  William Wright: I say, my dear, what in the world is a "rooster"?

  Young Applejack: (In her mind) What's he talking about? What do I say? I don't wanna look like a fool.

  Pony: Dinner is served.

  Young Applejack: Thank goodness. Being a city pony's hard work. I'm so hungry I could eat a... (Sees the meal is very small and is disappointed)

  *Young Applejack's Bedroom*

  Young Applejack: Cock-a-doodle-doo... Oh, I wonder what Granny Smith and Big McIntosh are up to. I bet they're applebuckin' their way through the Red Delicious trees. Oh, what I wouldn't give for just one bite...

  Stealth Firefist: (Appears out of nowhere) You should totally go back to your home then. Oh, also the food here is terrible.

  Young Applejack: Stealth, what are you doin' here? I'm tryin' to teach the crusaders how I got my cutie mark.

  Stealth Firefist: Your story's not good enough. It needs a monkey's touch.

  Young Applejack: Can you please let the story go along?

  Stealth Firefist: Well, since you asked. (Disappears somewhere)

  Applejack: (voiceover) As I was sayin', I never felt so homesick in all my days as I did right then. (Explosion and sees rainbow pointing to Sweet Apple Acres) It was amazin'! A rainbow pointin' right back to... home. In that moment, it all became clear. I knew right then just who I was supposed to be.

  *End Flashback*

  Applejack: That's when this here appeared. I've been happily workin' in the farm ever since.

  Stealth Firefist: I still say the story needs a monkey's touch. By the way, the bunnies who took you apples are over there. (Pointing to bunnies who blow raspberries at Applejack and run away)

  Applejack: There they are! Get back here, ya thievin' varmints! (Chases after rabbits)

  Sweetie Belle: Aw. That was such a sweet story!

  Scootaloo: Sweet? Try sappy. (mock gags) Come on! We've got to find Rainbow Dash and hear the cool way to get a cutie mark. (Cutie Mark Crusaders speed off)

  Stealth Firefist: They grow up so fast. (Lightning and Stealth catch up to Crusaders)

  *Fluttershy's Cottage*

  (Crusaders slow down again avoiding chicks and Lightning and Stealth catch up to them again)

  Fluttershy: All right, little ones. This way. This way. You really should be more careful. Somepony could get hurt. Why are you in such a hurry anyway?

  Scootaloo: We're trying to find Rainbow Dash, so we can hear how she earned her cutie mark.

  Fluttershy: Oh, that would be interesting. You know, I wouldn't have gotten my cutie mark if it weren't for her.

  Scootaloo: Rainbow Dash?! Really?!

  Fluttershy: Oh yes. It all started at Summer Flight Camp. (Starting Flashback)

  Stealth Firefist: (Stops Flashback) Boring! When are we going to get to the story?

  Lightning Strike: Right now, as a matter fact.

  Fluttershy: Anyway...

  *Fluttershy's Flashback*

  Fluttershy: (Voiceover) You'd never guess, but when I was little I was very shy. And a very weak flyer.

  (Young Fluttershy yelps messes up and lands on the ground)

  Young "Dumb-Bell": (laughter) Nice going, "Klutzershy"! They outta ground you permanently.

  Young Hoops: HA! My baby brother can fly better than you.

  Stealth Firefist: (Coming out of cloud) Eh, lay off her losers! You stink now, and you'll stink later! (Goes down cloud)

  Fluttershy: (Voiceover) It was the most humiliating moment of my life. And then, out of nowhere...

  Young Rainbow Dash: Leave her alone!

  Young Hoops: Ooh, what are you gonna do, "Rainbow Crash"?

  Stealth Firefist: (Comes out of cloud again) She's gonna beat you that's what!

  Young Fluttershy: Excuse me, Stealth, can I please continue my story?

  Stealth Firefist: Oh right, sorry. (Goes down into cloud)

   Young Dumb-Bell: You think you're such a big shot? Why don't you prove it?

  Young Rainbow Dash: Whaddya have in mind?

  *Race*

  Young Hoops: You're going down!

  Young Rainbow Dash: In history, maybe. See you boys at the finish line! (Pegasuses Fly at top speed and Young Fluttershy falls and screams)

  *Forest*

  (Young Fluttershy is soon caugh by butterflies)

  Fluttershy: (Voiceover)  I had never seen such beautiful creatures. Butterflies don't fly as high as my cloud home. And I'd never been near the ground before.

(Fluttershy)

What is this place

filled with so many wonders?

Squirrels in the trees

and the cute little bunnies

Scootaloo: Wait, wait, wait. What happened to Rainbow Dash? What about the race?

  Fluttershy: Oh. Well, I wasn't there, so I don't really know what happened.

  Scootaloo: Come on, Crusaders. We've gotta find her. Besides, I can't take any more singing.

  Sweetie Belle: Maybe my sister knows where she is. Bye, Fluttershy! (Crusaders take off again)

  Fluttershy: Bye, girls!

  Lightning Strike: Wait for us girls! (Tries to catch up with them with Stealth)

  *Rarity's Boutique*

  Lightning Strike: (Arrives with Stealth) Um, what is going on here?

  Scootaloo: That's what I've been saying.

  Stealth Firefist: There's only one explanation, they're being lined up for a fashion show!

  Scootaloo: Oh, well never to get to hear Rainbow Dash's story.

  Stealth Firefist: Don't by sad Scootaloo, we still have plenty of time before the episode's over.

  Lightning Strike: Before you ask, I have no idea.

  Rarity: Are you girls still obsessing over your cutie marks?

  Sweetie Belle: Of course! Most of the fillies at school already have theirs.

  Rarity: Mmm, I know how you feel. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I didn't have mine.

  Stealth Firefist: Yay, more flashback!

  *Rarity's Flashback*

  Rarity's teacher: Well done, Rarity. Your costumes are very nice.

  Young Rarity: Nice?! They need to be spectacular! And the performance is tomorrow!

  Rarity: (voiceover) I tried every trick I could think of, but nothing seemed to work. The costumes just weren't right. And the play opened that night.

  Young Rarity: Maybe I'm not meant to be a fashionista after all... Aah! What's going on?!

  Rarity: (voiceover) I had no idea where my horn was taking me. But unicorn magic doesn't happen without a reason. I knew this had to do with my love of fashion and maybe even my cutie mark! I knew that this was... MY DESTINY!

  Young Rarity: A ROCK?! That's my destiny?! What is your problem, horn? I followed you all the way out here for a ROCK?! (groans) Dumb rock!

  Stealth Firefist: (Comes from nowhere) A rock can be cool. You just have to make it do stuff.

  Young Rarity: Stealth, this is my story, please let it roll.

  Stealth Firefist: Well since you asked. (Disappears out of nowhere)

  Young Rarity: (Sees rainbow explosion, screams, and rock breaks into pieces revealing many gems)

  *Play*

  (Young Rarity coats costumes with gems and ponies get amazed by it)

  *End Flashback*

  Scootaloo: Ugh! These namby-pamby stories aren't getting us any closer to our cutie marks! They're all about finding who you really are and boring stuff like that.

  Rarity: Yes, Scootaloo, that's exactly...

  Scootaloo: Come on, girls! We need action! We need Rainbow Dash! (Crusaders speed off again)

  Lightning Strike: I was going to tell them how I got my cutie mark. (Speeds off again with his bodyguard/assistant)

  *Ponyville*

  Twilight Sparkle: As a young filly in Canterlot, I always wanted to go to the Summer Sun Celebration, where Princess Celestia raises the sun. It started on a-

  Stealth Firefist: Bor- (Stuffed by apple)

  Lightning Strike: She's starting to tell a story Stealth.

  Stealth Firefist: (Eats apple) Sorry. Please continue.

  *Twilight's Flashback*

  Twilight Sparkle: (Voiceover) And I saw the most amazing, most wonderful thing I've ever seen.

  Stealth Firefist: (Voiceover) A giant mango? A fruit pile? A cupcake rodeo? That last one's a must.

  Twilight Sparkle: (Voiceover) No. It was Princess Celestia's appearance!

  (Ponies cheer for Princess Celestia)

  *Library*

  (Young Twilight tries using magic and it works on a page)

  Twilight Sparkle: (Voiceover) My parents decided to enroll me in Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. It was a dream come true! Except for one thing... I had to pass an entrance exam!

  Stealth Firefist: (Voiceover) Boo! I hate exams.

  Examiner 1: Well, Miss Sparkle? (Young Twilight Laughs nervously and tries using magic, One of the examiners yawns) We don't have all day.

  Twilight Sparkle: (voiceover) I knew it was the most important day of my life, that my entire future would be affected by the outcome of this day and I was about to blow it!

  Young Twilight Sparkle: I'm sorry I wasted your time. (Rainbow explosion, Young Twilight has magical surges, Princess Celestia notices and goes inside and sees Young Twilight's abilities and puts a hoof on her shoulder and she stops)

  Princess Celestia: Twilight Sparkle.

  Young Twilight Sparkle: Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean...

  Princess Celestia: You have a very special gift. I don't think I've ever come across a unicorn with your raw abilities.

  Young Twilight Sparkle: Huh?

  Princess Celestia: But you need to learn to tame these abilities through focused study.

  Young Twilight Sparkle: Huh?!

  Princess Celestia: Twilight Sparkle, I'd like to make you my own personal protégé here at the school.

  Young Twilight Sparkle: HUH?!

  Princess Celestia: Well?

  Scootaloo: Yeah, thrilled. (Muttering to Crusaders) Let's get out of here while we still can. (Leaves with Crusaders)

  Twilight Sparkle: ...yesyes, YEEEES!

  Lightning Strike: Twilight, calm down. You're starting to attract a crowd. (Crowd stares at the group)

  Cherry Fizzy: Are you okay?

  Twilight Sparkle: (giggles nervously) Um... yes. (Crowd seperates)

  Stealth Firefist: Who wants to see me juggle mangoes? (Starts juggling but stopped by Lightning)

  Lightning Strike: No time, we have to catch up with the Crusaders. Wanna come Twilight?

  Twilight Sparkle: Sure.

  Stealth Firefist: Might wanna go now, because Lightning tends to be-

  Lightning Strike: (Flying ahead fast) Already ahead of you two!

  Stealth Firefist: Very fast.

  (Twilight and Stealth manage to catch up to him and the Crusaders)

  *Cruising Ponyville*

  Scootaloo: Ugh! Why don't we ever smash into Rainbow Dash?!

  Pinkie Pie: (In wagon) You're looking for Rainbow Dash? If I was her, I'd be at Sugarcube Corner. Of course, if I was anyone, I'd be at Sugarcube Corner. Hey! I have an idea! Wanna go to Sugarcube Corner?

  Lightning, Stealth, and Twilight: Uh, sure?

  Sweetie Belle: Well, we're sort of looking for Rainbow Dash, so we can hear how she got her cutie mark.

  Pinkie Pie: Cutie mark? Come with me and I'll tell you how I got mine!

  Scootaloo: (sighs) Why not?

  Pinkie Pie: Alright!

  *Pinkie Pie's Flashback*

  Pinkie Pie: (voiceover) My sisters and I were raised on a rock farm outside of Ponyville. We spent our days working the fields. There was no talking. There was no smiling.

  Stealth Firefist: (Pops out from rocks) That is just so sad. Not to mention, BORING! On a rock farm, seriously. (Disappears again into rocks)

  Pinkie Pie: (Voiceover) I know right? (sighs) There were only rocks. We were in the south field, preparing to rotate the rocks to the east field when all of a sudden... (Rainbow explosion, changes scene into a bright colorful one) I'd never felt joy like that before! It felt so good I just wanted to keep smiling forever! And I wanted everyone I knew to smile too, but rainbows don't come along that often. I wondered, how else could I create some smiles?

  Igneous Rock: We better harvest the rocks from the south field.

  Cloudy Quartz: Pinkamena Diane Pie! Is that you?

  Young Pinkie Pie: Mom! I need you and dad and the sisters to come in. Quick! (Ponies come over to farm house and see party decorations) Surprise! You like it? It's called... a party! (Sees ponies aren't smiling) Oh. You don't like it. (Sees ponies smiling) You like it! I'm so happy! (Ponies dance and Young Pinkie's cutie mark appears)

  *End Flashback*

  Pinkie Pie: And that's how Equestria was made! (Everyone stops)

  Lightning Strike: What?

  Apple Bloom: Look! We're here!

  Pinkie Pie: Maybe on the way home I can tell you the story of how I got my cutie mark. It's a gem! (Walks inside the shop)

  (Awkward silence, eagle noise)

  Sweetie Belle: Oh, come on. She's just being Pinkie Pie.

  Scootaloo: Ugh... (Crusaders go into shop)

  Stealth Firefist: Extra Pinkie Pie if you ask me. (Group goes into Cakes' Shop)

  *Cakes' Shop*

  Scootaloo: Rainbow Dash! You're here!

  Rainbow Dash: I hear you're looking for my cutie mark story.

  Scootaloo: (Sighs) You have no idea what I've been through today to hear that story.

  Rainbow Dash: It all happened during the race at Flight Camp...

  Stealth Firefist: An alien invasion started! But one monkey, by the name of- (Gets look from Rainbow Dash) Oh, wait a second. That's not the story? Alright.

  Rainbow Dash: Anyway, it happened during the race at Flight Camp...

  *Rainbow Dash's Flashback*

  Rainbow Dash: (voiceover) ...where I stood alone against all odds to defend Fluttershy's honor. (Young Pegasuses speed past Young Fluttershy and race) I've never flown like THAT before! That freedom was unlike anything I've ever felt! The speed, the adrenaline, the wind in my mane... I liked it... a lot!

  Young Rainbow Dash: Ow! (Sidewiped by Young Hoops)

  Young Hoops: Ha! Later, Rainbow Crash!

  Young Rainbow Dash: Hey! (Catches up to Hoops)

  Rainbow Dash: (voiceover) Turns out the only thing I liked more than flying fast... was winning! (Young Rainbow Dash Hits cloud causing rainbow explosion) Most ponies thought that the Sonic Rainboom was just an old mare's tail. But that day... The day I discovered racing... I proved that the legends were true. I made the impossible happen! (Young Rainbow Dash crosses finish line and pegasi cheer)

  *End Flashback*

  Rainbow Dash: And that, little ones, is how you earn a cutie mark.

  Cutie Mark Crusaders: Whooooaaaa...

  Lightning Strike: Now that the stories are out of the way, can I tell my cutie mark story?

  Scootaloo: Sure thing! Now that I've heard Rainbow Dash's story.

  Lightning Strike: Okay, so it started on this dark and stormy day-

  Stealth Firefist: Mango meteors were raining? I knew should never have trusted them.

  Lightning Strike: (Chuckles) That's not how it went down Stealth.

  Stealth Firefist: Oh.

  Lightning Strike: It started on this dark and stormy day...

  *Lightning's Flashback*

  Lightning Strike: (Voiceover) It was getting dangerous for my friends while seeking shelter from the storm.

  Young Lightning: Don't worry guys! Shelter can't be too far!

  Young Flash : But this storm is too dangerous! We might not make it! (Thunder explodes from the sky and Foals scream)

  Lightning Strike: (Voiceover) That's was when... (Rainbow explosion).And it gave courage. (Young Lightning flies up into the sky clearing all thunder clouds, Foals cheer for him, and Lightning's cutie mark appears) And I decided to help out anyone or teach them lesson, no matter how bad they might be.

  *End Flashback*

  Lightning Strike: And that's how I got my lightning cutie mark.

  Cutie Mark Crusaders: Wooow!

  Scootaloo: That sounds awesome! Maybe not as awesome as Rainbow Dash, but still awesome!

  Stealth Firefist: Ooh! Let me tell them story of how I earned my fire mark on armor.

  Twilight Sparkle: I, for one, actually was curious how Stealth earned his mark.

  Stealth Firefist: Okay, it started at the warrior training ground- (sleeps for a few seconds and awakes himself) Whoa. Sorry I've been hearing stories all day everyone. (Ponies share chuckles) Anyway, it started at the warrior training grounds...

  *Stealth's Flashback*

   Stealth Firefist: (Voiceover) I realized my parents were brave warriors. And they encouraged me to be one. So I signed up for the Warrior Training Academy. (Young Stealth signs up)

  *Warrior Training Academy*

  Stealth Firefist: (Voiceover) I knew it wasn't gonna be a walk in the park, but it didn't stop me. Okay, well maybe for a second, but besides that, I continued. (Young Stealth training with his masters and excelling) I never noticed, but I seemed to excel every test. But then came the hardest of them all, the final exam. (Young Stealth doing his best, but keeps failing to beat his sensei)

  Young Stealth: Maybe I should just give up.

  Stealth Firefist: (Voiceover) And that was when... (Rainbow explosion) I had a new power come up unto me. (Young Stealth shoots out fire from his hands and beats his sensei, he gets up and bows in respect)

  Guardian 1: You have more power then we ever could have imagined Stealth Firefist. (Makes motion the have other guardians give him fire mark armor and put it on Stealth who is now smiling)

  *End Flashback*

  Stealth Firefist: And that is how I earned my fire mark armor.

  Fluttershy: Wait a second. I heard that explosion. And I saw the rainbow too. Rainbow Dash, if you hadn't scared the animals, I never would have learned I could communicate with them and gotten my cutie mark.

  Pinkie Pie: I heard that boom! And right afterwards, there was this amazing rainbow that taught me to smile.

  Applejack: When I got my cutie mark, I saw a rainbow that pointed me home. I bet it was your sonic rainboom!

  Rarity: There was an explosion I could never explain when I got my cutie mark.

  Twilight Sparkle: This is uncanny! If that explosion didn't happen when it did, I would have blown my entrance exam. Rainbow Dash, I think you helped me earn my cutie mark too!

  Lightning Strike: And if that didn't happen, I wouldn't have my lightning cutie mark.

  Stealth Firefist: And discover my fire powers!

  Rainbow Dash: Whoa!

  Pinkie Pie: We all owe our cutie marks to you!

  Lightning Strike: We sure do!

  Fluttershy: Do you realize what this means? All of us had a special connection before we even met.

  Rarity: We've been BFFs forever and we didn't even know it!

  Applejack: Come here, y'all.

  (Mane 6 hug each other)

  Lightning Strike: Hey leave some room for us.

  Stealth Firefist: Group hug!

  (Lightning and Stealth join in group hug)

Fluttershy: I'm so glad we're friends!

  Pinkie Pie: I love you, guys!

  Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle: Awwww...

  Scootaloo: Ewwww... Gimme a break. Come on, Crusaders! Maybe we just need to try zip-lining again. (Sighs)

  Fluttershy: Hey. How about a song? (Ponies approve)
