It was pretty normal up until now, and everypony was outside enjoying the nice weather. Fluttershy was just finishing filling up Angel Bunny's food bowl when she heard a strange noise from a few yards away. She looked towards the sound and saw a strange looking animal. It was small, like a bunny, but it was standing on it's hind legs and walking towards her. It made a few grunting noises as it approached the garden of animals. As it got closer, Fluttershy noticed the scrapes and bruises in the strange animal. "Oh my, you poor thing! Here, let me help you," Fluttershy said, flying towards it. Now she noticed the blood near it's mouth. "Oh dear, here, I have to go get something," Fluttershy quickly said and flew to her house. She went to the cabinet in her room and pulled out a first aid kit. She flew out quickly to get the small animal. Poor thing, she thought, it was probably attacked... Fluttershy pulled a little cotton rag and started to put it near it's mouth. "Here," She said, "bite down on this." The creature started opening it's mouth and moving it's head towards the rag, but the rag wasn't its target. "OW!" Fluttershy yelped as the creature bit Fluttershy's hoof hard. She pulled away and looked at the blood trickling down from her hoof. "Oh dear, now I know you're nervice, but it's not okay to bite," Fluttershy whispered. She went inside the house to wash her bite off, but she didn't make it to the faucet. She collapsed at the doorway to the kitchen and started twitching horrifyingly. More blood gushed from the bite and her hair started shedding itself. Fluttershy was not Fluttershy anymore. She started coughing up blood onto the ground below her and making gagging and coughing sounds. After a few moments, she sat still on the ground, blood dripping from her mouth. She suddenly twitched and groaned a little. After a few twitches, she picked herself up and started towards the door. Fluttershy was infected. *** Zecora's shop, half an hour later For the past hour, Fluttershy has been walking through the Everfree Forest. After an hour of blind stumbling, she saw Zecora's hut. She sniffed the air, smelling the chewy flesh from within the hut. She let out a groan of success and started towards the brewing shop. The door opened slowly as Fluttershy made her way in through the door. Zecora was on the other side of the room, reading about different potions. She heard the door creak a little and knew somepony was there. "Greetings to my brewing shop, do you need a potion or a brewing crop?" Zecora asked without looking. With no response, she turned around and gasped. "My my, Fluttershy! How have you hurt your eye?" Fluttershy's eye had a scar through it from the battle between her and her animals and blood was being drawn from her mouth. "Oh my, are you ill? Do you need a curing pill?" Zecora knew nothing of such diseases that would make mouths bleed. Fluttershy lunged towards Zecora, catching her by surprise. She was immediately knocked to the ground and before she knew what was going on, a sharp pain pierced her front hoof. Zecora let out a scream as she watched the blood trickled down onto the floor. Even if she did scream, she knew nopony was around to hear her. For what felt like hours, Zecora was laying on the ground, Fluttershy biting into her front hooves. With every bite, Zecora got dizzier and faded even further from reality. After about two minutes of screaming and trickling blood, Zecora stopped screaming, Fluttershy stopped biting, and there was no more pain. Zecora was now taken by Fluttershy into a horrible disease unknown to anypony but those two. *** "Fluttershy? Fluttershy! Are you in there?" Rainbow Dash was in Fluttershy's house for a scheduled get together. After a few minutes of calling in the doorway, she decided to go looking around. Before she cloud take a further step in, she heard a strange noise from her backyard. She backed out of the home and immediately flew over the roof to look at the back yard. It wasn't a pretty site. fl "OH MY CELESTIA!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she saw the gruesome horror in the backyard. There was blood smeared on a tree, all over the ground, and bits of flesh. Despite the signs of a massacre, animals were still walking, or should we say limping, across the yard. When the animals heard her yell, they all whipped their heads directly towards her. The birds started flying towards her and shrieking horribly. A few fell out of the air due to wing damage. "What the hay ha- WOAH!"Rainbow yelled as she dodged an eagle about to rip through her. "Oh no, I've read stories like this... It starts in animals, and then the animals attack... FLUTTERSHY! Oh no, I gotta warn Ponyville!" With this, she turned and started flying towards Ponyville, but she forgot about the birds. The flying creatures darted at Dash, one by one, all being dodged. I gotta lose these guys! She thought. Rainbow started darting around trees so sharp that most birds got trapped in the leaves or crashing into tree trunks. One by one, all the birds were off Rainbow's tail and she could warn Ponyville safely. "It has come true," Rainbow said worriedly as she flew towards Ponyville, "The Ponyville Pandemic. The book came true." Ponyville Pandemic was a book of a breakout disease that made ponies crave flesh and act differently. They were called zed. Rainbow has read all of the books in the series and advised her plan. Finally, it happened. Unmistakably, it started. All Rainbow had to do now was warn the others and board up the library. It was gonna be the easiest thing to overcome wtih Twilight's magic. Rainbow thought everything was gonna work out. She was wrong. Terribly wrong. The planRainbow Dash flew with all her might over the forest. Ponyville's town hall just started to come into view. It wasn't long until she would warn all of Ponyville. As she got closer and closer, she started to see more and more buildings and a few ponies. All of the ponies are in extreme danger, and they don't even know it. Rainbow Dash went straight towards the library. If anypony, Twilight Sparkle would know something about this. She reads more than anything living! There's got to be some information in a book somewhere. If there wasn't, then everypony had to act on instinct. Rainbow Dash was finally in front of the library. Urgently, she knocked on the door at a fast pace. She didn't notice it, but she was moving her hooves around like Pinkie Pie after a party. After what seemed like hours to Rainbow Dash, a soft purple glow covered the door nob and the door swept open with ease, revealing a lavender unicorn, barring a cutie mark resembling magic. "Oh, hey Rainbow Dash!" Twilight greeted, "Wha- HEY!" Rainbow Dash had rudely pushed her aside and flew into the library. She zoomed around the shelves, scanning the book names, not one of them being what she wanted. "TWILIGHT! Remember when I told you my plan about the zed apocalypse?" Rainbow asked Twilight, flying towards her at record breaking speeds. "Yeah, and I thought it was stupid for wasting time on such nonse-" Twilight was interrupted by a hoof to her mouth. "It wasn't nonsense! I was just at Fluttershy's and her animals were covered in blood and trying to kill me!" At first Twilight looked dumbfounded, as if she just watched someone die. She sat like that, starting at Rainbow, for about a minute before she started laughing. "Oh, you almost got me Rainbow Dash!" She said, holding back laughs, "Nice prank! Very convincing! Now I have work to do-" "This is no prank!" Rainbow exclaimed, a little irritated, "I saw them! They wanted to kill me! We have to warn Ponyville!" "Rainbow, stop, you're going too far." "I'M NOT LYING! PLEASE TWILIGHT! You're the smartest one in Ponyville! You must know something about it!" Twilight finally got it. Oh my, she thought, She isn't kidding... Twilight had her dumbfounded face on again. Then her mind got to work. "We can't all survive together. Gather the Mane 6, we gotta barricade a section of the town." At that, Rainbow flew off, no questions asked. She knew Twilight meant business. Twilight levitated her quill and got a piece of paper to write out the plan. Alright, so we need to barricade near a food place. It needs to be near a housing neighborhood so we have houses to stay in. Of course, we're going to have to redesign a house or two for defense reasons. Okay, so Pinkie's bakey is a possibility. It could be the town hall sort of building. It will also act as a house for the Mane 6 and will be the main food place. There are stores around it so we could supply on things. The stores will act as houses, too. I'm sure it has sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, heck it has a bed set complete. Stores and houses near the barricade will act as defense posts and the unicorns will defend, having the power to distort normal items in a house into weapons. We can't have too much of space because we won't have enough unicorns to defend. Pegasi could scout and be suppliers. Younger ponies will be housed in a few nurseries. Many ponies must live in the same house for us to be able to fit enough ponies within the barricades. Others? Well, they might not be so lucky... Rarity will be in charge of barricading and turning houses to defense posts, Rainbow will bring ponies in and gather supplies, Pinkie Pie is providing the bakery, Applejack will help with guards, and I will be leader of the establishment. Twilight put down the quill. "This is gonna be harsh," She thought aloud. Half an hour later, Twilight has told her friends the plan, "Alright, Dash, go out and tell the mayor." Twilight instructed, "Tell her to lead all of the ponies to Sugarcube Corner." "On it!" Dash saluted and flew away. "As for you, Pinkie Pie, prepare snacks for ponies at Sugarcube Corner" "Oki-Doki-Loki!" Exclaimed Pinkie, then darted off faster than anypony could see. "Applejack, gather the unicorns and tell them what's going on." "Sure thing, Twi," Applejack simply said, then ran off. "Rarity, go tell the ponies who live in the houses near where the barricades are planned what's happening." "On it!" Rarity exclaimed in her un-mare like voice. A half hour later, everypony gathered in required spot, "Alright, everypony!" Twilight exclaimed over the microphone, "as the unicorns and a few residents know, there is a deadly disease outbreak! We need to barricade a set area up and try to survive the best we can!" At first, the crowd was silent. Everypony had a blank expression on their faces, that is until one started laughing. The whole crowd erupted with laughter along with her. "Ponies! This is no joke!" Twilight yelled, "We are in grave danger!" ((See what I did there? No? Screw you.)) The ponies stopped laughing. "Wait, you're serious?!" Somepony shouted from the crowd. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." The crowd was yet again silent. Then a light blue mare with a short, pink mane walked out of the crowd. She barred a heart drawn by a tablet pen for a cutie mark and had green eyes. "My name is Cotton Candy Sweets, what can I do to help?" She spoke. After that, a dark blue stallion walked from the crowd. He had light blue hair that looked like Rainbow Dash's and barred a cutie mark of a pen on paper. "My name is Penpal, what can I do to help?" He spoke. "You look like an author. Maybe you could write a log in case other ponies ever find us," Twilight answered another pony., "you can all help! We need to work together on this! Come on to Sugarcube Corner, where I'll debate what you can do!" Everypony started heading calmly towards the bakery "This might be easier than I thought," Twilight said to herself. The attackPonies were assigned jobs already and the smaller ponies were in the stores, which were now the nurseries and homes. Parts of the barricades were already built, and ponies from the edge of the settlement were evacuated. Unicorns have designed weapons, and most everything was going fine. There was only one problem. Some ponies didn't believe Twilight. "Sir, please! We need you out of this house!" Twilight was trying to convince a stallion to move to the safe grounds. It wasn't working well. "Oh right, I'm gonna leave my comfy home for these so called 'zed'?" He argued back at her, not giving in. "Sir, this is a serious problem! I'm concerned of your safety!" "I'm not going for it! Now get of my house!" The stallion rudely pushed Twilight Sparkle out and slammed the door. "Maybe now I can finish my book..." Twilight gave up and walked away, not seeing the zebra staggering down the street, making it's way towards the stallion's house. With Twilight out of site, the blood-covered zebra sniffed the air for the closest target. It scented the stubborn stallion within the house. Having smelled a living being, it charged at the house, slamming into the door. "I told you I won't get out!" Came a muffled voice from inside the house. The sound of something breathing made the uncontrollable diseased one furious. Zecora started smashing her head into the door, busting it open. Seeing the blood covered zebra made the stallion scream. "Oh Celestia! They were right! HEEEEEEELP!" Nopony heard the stallion. No help wass coming. He was doomed. The zebra charged toward him, lashing out it's front hooves and shrieking in hunger. The stallion screeched as the strong teeth of an undead Zecora sank her teeth straight into the chest of him. He lashed out his hooves, punching her in the face repeatedly, but that did nothing. She tore her teeth through muscle and skin, blood pouring out of the wound. Bite after bite, more blood gushed out and more screams were emitted, until they finally stopped. Zecora had fed, but her hunger was impossible to satisfy. She sniffed the air for more flesh, still seething with anger. She picked up on the sent of ponies out the door. Hungry, she bolted towards the door, ready for her next meal. Right after the stallion died, "Okay ponies! We need to set up barricades today!" Twilight Sparkle yelled over a megaphone, "Take wooden boards, nails, and tools from the buildings around us and give it to B Squad!" The ponies obediently started towards the stores and gathered wooden boards, scrap metal, tools, and nails. Once gathered, they would take it to the Building Squad and they would set up barricades. Tools leftover from building will be used as weapons. "Hey, guys! I found Fluttershy!" A guard shouted from his post. He didn't notice the blood on her mouth or on her hooves. "That's great! Rainbow! Send somepony to get her!" Twilight commanded. "Okay, Cloud Kicker!" Rainbow called, "Go over the barricade and lead her in." Cloud Kicker saluted Rainbow and flew over the barricade towards Fluttershy. "Oh my gosh!" She yelled when she saw the blood on Fluttershy. "What happened?!" The only reply she got was a grunt as Fluttershy lunged at her. She let out a yelp, but she was out of sound range and nopony heard. They were focusing on work to do on the barricades and didn't see them. When Cloud Kicker was on the ground, Fluttershy made her move. she darted her head towards Cloud Kicker's neck, but she was trained for this. She craned her neck so the teeth missed and her face hit the ground, then proceeded to bucking her off with her back hooves. Fluttershy yelped as she flew into the air, away from Cloud Kicker. She landed on her side and let out a pained screech. Cloud Kicker tried to jump up and fly away, but Fluttershy was fast and flew right from the ground to swoop down on her. Cloud Kicker fell to the ground, face first, with Fluttershy on her back. She wasn't trained for this, however. Fluttershy closed her jaw around Cloud Kicker's back, tearing the skin open. Cloud screamed, barely being heard from the barricaded area. Fluttershy chomped into the same area, gulping down muscle and blood. Cloud kicked and screamed, being heard by only one guard pony. Lyra used her magic to locate the source of the screaming. She saw FLuttershy on top of Cloud's back, eating into the skin. She lit her horn, sounding a signal to other guards that Cloud was in danger. As soon as everypony came to see the seen of the crime, the two pegasi were gone. All that remained was a pool of blood. "Somepony, get Twilight Sparkle!" a guard shouted, "This is code #52!" One of the scout pegasi flew as fast as they could towards Sugarcube Corner, which was now Town Hall, where Twilight Sparkle was making orders. The pegasus burst in the door, screaing, "TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! CODE #52!" Twilight didn't panic. She stayed calm and started sending orders to the guard ponies. "Okay," she said through magic messages, "code #52. Stand on full guard. Let nopony in, Watch for ponies Cloud Kicker and Fluttershy specifically." "Yes ma'am!" the commander unicorn massaged back. A sudden shriek was heard from guard post #4. Lyra's post. "Alright!" the commander shouted again, "All ponies, to post #4! Code #52 step 1!" The commander busted open, but in the post, there was nothing but blood again, and a lot of it. Lyra was nowhere to be found. "Oh. no! They have a pegasus and a unicorn! Code Red! I repeat, code red!" But before anypony could react, the door to the post closed and locked. "A next meal, how delightful" Fluttershy swooped from her hiding spot on the ceiling onto one of the unicorns. A minute earlier, at the post, Lyra screamed as Fluttershy swooped in the window. She was thrown to the ground by the force of her hooves. "I've tasted a zebra, an Earth pony, and a pegasus," Fluttershy said in a deep, horrifying voice. "I wonder how unicorns taste." Lyra got her mind working. She was also a huge zed person. She thought Fluttershy could possibly be a superior zed. She could think about things, talk, but she couldn't exactly control herself. The disease took over her mind and controlled her, making her able to speak and think things through for her next meal. Fluttershy chomped into Lyra's chest, savoring the taste, when she heard the guard ponies coming. Lyra couldn't breathe or talk, due to blood pouring out of her mouth, so Fluttershy threw her out the window and climbed to her hiding place for the guards. Back to the original time, Fluttershy tore a hole into the skin of the unicorn, then jumped to the other. She repeated this on another then finally got knocked off. But the disease that was in her saliva was supplied from the brain to be fast acting. The unicorns that were bitten now got up and attacked the others. Guard squad #2 was now wiped out. Ponyville was now in trouble. The immune 3It is always said that all ponies are immune to at least one sickness. Some have simple immunities, like from the cold or the chicken pox. Others? Well, lets say that some ponies can't become undead... too bad there are only three... Havoc spread throughout Ponyville. At least half the population were mindless, flesh hungry zed. The strongest of all ponies were guarding the filly houses. But a group of six had their own plan. Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash had been bitten.. It's been an hour since the bite, and they haven't turned. "We're the immune!" Rainbow Dash, being a nerd over zed, knows that there is always a group that will never turn. "That's preposterous!" Rarity yelled, "How can we be immune to such a disease?!" "Well, ah don' know, but we're darn lucky for it," Applejack spoke up. The three have barricaded the barn, taking their sisters with them, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. But they knew they couldn't only protect those two. Rainbow Dash took Scootaloo along with them, too. "Ya'll alright back there?" Applejack shouted behind her. The three fillies were shaking in fear, unable to respond. "Poor girls, they can't die without their cutie marks! We're gonna live through this, ya hear?" "O-Okay," Applebloom shuttered. "Applejack, Rarity, guard the entrances," Rainbow Dash commanded, "I'm gonna devise a plan." "Sure thing, Dash," Applejack replied, Rarity walking to the other entrance to guard. "Okay, so Ponyville is bucked, Appleoosa is too far away, and Canterlot is the only other city near us that will believe us." Rainbow Dash brought a map of Equestria with her to tha barn, just in case, :This path goes straight from Ponyville to Canterlot, but is infested. This path, however, is near us and quiet, but is way longer. Obvious answer. Applejack, get a cart and a lot of apples. This is gonna be a long journey. I'm gonna pull the cart to Canterlot. There's too much weight to fly their. We might need two carts, actually. Applejack will pull one with Rarity, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom, while I'll take Scootaloo and all the supplies we need. Got that?" "Got it!" both Rarity and Applejack yelled, "I'll go get a cart full of supplies from the cellar. I'll go back down an get a driving cart. Ya'll hold tight, ya hear?" Applejack ran out of the door she was guarding, leaving Rainbow Dash to guard herself. Applejack went straight towards the cellar, not risking anypony being out here. She got a cart, filled it with apples from the harvest, and made her way back. "Cart #1 is here!" Applejack shouted, "Scootaloo, get yerself comfy in there. I'll go get the driving cart!" "Okay," Scootaloo said, picking herself up to walk to the cart, "so Rainbow Dash is pulling this one?" "Yep! And I'll tell you, it's gonna be Cart #Cool!" Rainbow Dash answered, getting a giggle from Scootaloo. Applejack came back with the driving cart attached to her back. "Allrighty, let's get ta Canterlot!" She said, jumping onto her back hooves and kicking her front hooves in the air. Rarity, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle got on the cart and Rainbow grabbed a few of the spare pipes in the barn. "Whaddya need those for?" Applebloom asked, looking at the pipes. "Just in case we run into any of them. It's gonna be a long trip." They headed out of the barn, ready for the long journey ahead of them. Too bad they didn't know that the zed were on their way, too. Ten minutes later, down the road, "Jeez, it feels like it's been SOOO LONG," Scootaloo groaned. They were pretty far from Ponyville, but they still weren't safe from the zed. "Scootaloo, quit yer whining," Applejack said, "we're all bored." "Actually, Applejack," Rainbow spoke up, being silent for the time they were walking, "We could take a small break. There's a huge clearing up the road. If we get there, we can have a break and eat an apple or two. The crusaders could play a game of tag or something." "Sounds good, but what if the infected ones come?" Applejack replied. Applejack secretly read books on the zed too, though they were called infected in her books. "Oh, well we'll defend the crusaders," Rainbow said, almost casually, "Rainbow, a pipe isn't going to fight off a horde of infected. We gotta keep moving." "I was just trying to raise moral..." "I have an idea!" Rarity spoke up, "I could do little tricks with my magic to help pass- "YOUR MAGIC!" Rainbow shouted, scaring Rarity, "We could TELEPORT there!" "Rainbow, my dear, I could only teleport two ponies at a time. I couldn't POSSIBLY take all off you there!" "Just take us one by one, starting with the crusaders!" "Rainbow, I cold only do it three times in a row at this moment. I could take two crusaders to safety plus myself, but you three must stay." "Well, take Sweetie Belle and Scoots. The rest of us will be fine." "Rainbow, are you sure? I mean, wouldn't I be a bad friend? "Rarity, just take the two and get to Canterlot. It would be safer to travel that way. Less weight." "If you insist..." Rarity hugged Sweetie Belle and her horn started to glow. After about 5 seconds of them hugging tightly with a magical orb surrounding them, a huge blue flash appeared and Rarity and Sweetie Belle were gone. Rainbow motioned for Applejack to stop walking, so when she teleports back, she'll be in the same place. A brilliant blue flash appeared and Rarity sat in Rainbow Dash's cart now. She grabbed Scootaloo and lit her horn, performing the spell yet again. A blue flash signaled the last teleport, and that Rainbow and Applejack could move on. "Now hold on," Applebloom said, "Why am ah the only one to stay?" "Because Rarity would be gone with her sister while you're with your sister," Rainbow replied, "Scootaloo wasn't a sister to anypony here." "Ah guess that makes sense..." "Now, Applejack, I'm gonna pack the apples in your cart along with me and we're gonna get going. Me and you will take turns pulling the cart." "Okay, I guess that seems fair," Applejack said. Rainbow went to go unhook herself to the cart. When she pulled free, she heard a noise from the side of her. She flapped her wings and jumped 3 meters to the air. She quickly dropped into the cart and pulled out one of the pipes. "Make your move!" She yelled, towards the sound. A blue stallion jumped out of the surrounding trees. Rainbow, however, didn't notice that he wasn't bitten or damaged. She swung the pipe at his leg, causing him to fall with a shriek. Just before Rainbow made the final blow, she realized that he wasn't infected. "Omigosh! I'm so sorry!" Rainbow yelled, "Here, let me help you into the cart!" After examining him, she realized it was Penpal. "I'm so sorry, Penpal! You just scared me!" Penpal noticed the bites on Applejack and Rainbow. "YOU'RE BITTEN!" He exclaimed, "YOU'RE INFECTED!" "No, Penpal, we're immune. Please, just come on. We're going to Canterlot." "Okay then," Penpal said as Rainbow dropped him into her cart. "Looks like you're not carrying me and the supplies anymore," Rainbow mumbled towards Applejack as she harnessed herself in. "It's gonna be a long walk," Applejack said as they started down the path again.

She heard the door creak a little and knew somepony was there. "Greetings to my brewing shop, do you need a potion or a brewing crop?" Zecora asked without looking. With no response, she turned around and gasped. "My my, Fluttershy! How have you hurt your eye?" Fluttershy's eye had a scar through it from the battle between her and her animals and blood was being drawn from her mouth. "Oh my, are you ill? Do you need a curing pill?" Zecora knew nothing of such diseases that would make mouths bleed. Fluttershy lunged towards Zecora, catching her by surprise. She was immediately knocked to the ground and before she knew what was going on, a sharp pain pierced her front hoof. Zecora let out a scream as she watched the blood trickled down onto the floor. Even if she did scream, she knew nopony was around to hear her. For what felt like hours, Zecora was laying on the ground, Fluttershy biting into her front hooves. With every bite, Zecora got dizzier and faded even further from reality. After about two minutes of screaming and trickling blood, Zecora stopped screaming, Fluttershy stopped biting, and there was no more pain. Zecora was now taken by Fluttershy into a horrible disease unknown to anypony but those two. *** "Fluttershy? Fluttershy! Are you in there?" Rainbow Dash was in Fluttershy's house for a scheduled get together. After a few minutes of calling in the doorway, she decided to go looking around. Before she cloud take a further step in, she heard a strange noise from her backyard. She backed out of the home and immediately flew over the roof to look at the back yard. It wasn't a pretty site. fl "OH MY CELESTIA!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she saw the gruesome horror in the backyard. There was blood smeared on a tree, all over the ground, and bits of flesh. Despite the signs of a massacre, animals were still walking, or should we say limping, across the yard. When the animals heard her yell, they all whipped their heads directly towards her. The birds started flying towards her and shrieking horribly. A few fell out of the air due to wing damage. "What the hay ha- WOAH!"Rainbow yelled as she dodged an eagle about to rip through her. "Oh no, I've read stories like this... It starts in animals, and then the animals attack... FLUTTERSHY! Oh no, I gotta warn Ponyville!" With this, she turned and started flying towards Ponyville, but she forgot about the birds. The flying creatures darted at Dash, one by one, all being dodged. I gotta lose these guys! She thought. Rainbow started darting around trees so sharp that most birds got trapped in the leaves or crashing into tree trunks. One by one, all the birds were off Rainbow's tail and she could warn Ponyville safely. "It has come true," Rainbow said worriedly as she flew towards Ponyville, "The Ponyville Pandemic. The book came true." Ponyville Pandemic was a book of a breakout disease that made ponies crave flesh and act differently. They were called zed. Rainbow has read all of the books in the series and advised her plan. Finally, it happened. Unmistakably, it started. All Rainbow had to do now was warn the others and board up the library. It was gonna be the easiest thing to overcome wtih Twilight's magic. Rainbow thought everything was gonna work out. She was wrong. Terribly wrong.
The planRainbow Dash flew with all her might over the forest. Ponyville's town hall just started to come into view. It wasn't long until she would warn all of Ponyville. As she got closer and closer, she started to see more and more buildings and a few ponies. All of the ponies are in extreme danger, and they don't even know it. Rainbow Dash went straight towards the library. If anypony, Twilight Sparkle would know something about this. She reads more than anything living! There's got to be some information in a book somewhere. If there wasn't, then everypony had to act on instinct. Rainbow Dash was finally in front of the library. Urgently, she knocked on the door at a fast pace. She didn't notice it, but she was moving her hooves around like Pinkie Pie after a party. After what seemed like hours to Rainbow Dash, a soft purple glow covered the door nob and the door swept open with ease, revealing a lavender unicorn, barring a cutie mark resembling magic. "Oh, hey Rainbow Dash!" Twilight greeted, "Wha- HEY!" Rainbow Dash had rudely pushed her aside and flew into the library. She zoomed around the shelves, scanning the book names, not one of them being what she wanted. "TWILIGHT! Remember when I told you my plan about the zed apocalypse?" Rainbow asked Twilight, flying towards her at record breaking speeds. "Yeah, and I thought it was stupid for wasting time on such nonse-" Twilight was interrupted by a hoof to her mouth. "It wasn't nonsense! I was just at Fluttershy's and her animals were covered in blood and trying to kill me!" At first Twilight looked dumbfounded, as if she just watched someone die. She sat like that, starting at Rainbow, for about a minute before she started laughing. "Oh, you almost got me Rainbow Dash!" She said, holding back laughs, "Nice prank! Very convincing! Now I have work to do-" "This is no prank!" Rainbow exclaimed, a little irritated, "I saw them! They wanted to kill me! We have to warn Ponyville!" "Rainbow, stop, you're going too far." "I'M NOT LYING! PLEASE TWILIGHT! You're the smartest one in Ponyville! You must know something about it!" Twilight finally got it. Oh my, she thought, She isn't kidding... Twilight had her dumbfounded face on again. Then her mind got to work. "We can't all survive together. Gather the Mane 6, we gotta barricade a section of the town." At that, Rainbow flew off, no questions asked. She knew Twilight meant business. Twilight levitated her quill and got a piece of paper to write out the plan. Alright, so we need to barricade near a food place. It needs to be near a housing neighborhood so we have houses to stay in. Of course, we're going to have to redesign a house or two for defense reasons. Okay, so Pinkie's bakey is a possibility. It could be the town hall sort of building. It will also act as a house for the Mane 6 and will be the main food place. There are stores around it so we could supply on things. The stores will act as houses, too. I'm sure it has sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, heck it has a bed set complete. Stores and houses near the barricade will act as defense posts and the unicorns will defend, having the power to distort normal items in a house into weapons. We can't have too much of space because we won't have enough unicorns to defend. Pegasi could scout and be suppliers. Younger ponies will be housed in a few nurseries. Many ponies must live in the same house for us to be able to fit enough ponies within the barricades. Others? Well, they might not be so lucky... Rarity will be in charge of barricading and turning houses to defense posts, Rainbow will bring ponies in and gather supplies, Pinkie Pie is providing the bakery, Applejack will help with guards, and I will be leader of the establishment. Twilight put down the quill. "This is gonna be harsh," She thought aloud. Half an hour later, Twilight has told her friends the plan, "Alright, Dash, go out and tell the mayor." Twilight instructed, "Tell her to lead all of the ponies to Sugarcube Corner." "On it!" Dash saluted and flew away. "As for you, Pinkie Pie, prepare snacks for ponies at Sugarcube Corner" "Oki-Doki-Loki!" Exclaimed Pinkie, then darted off faster than anypony could see. "Applejack, gather the unicorns and tell them what's going on." "Sure thing, Twi," Applejack simply said, then ran off. "Rarity, go tell the ponies who live in the houses near where the barricades are planned what's happening." "On it!" Rarity exclaimed in her un-mare like voice. A half hour later, everypony gathered in required spot, "Alright, everypony!" Twilight exclaimed over the microphone, "as the unicorns and a few residents know, there is a deadly disease outbreak! We need to barricade a set area up and try to survive the best we can!" At first, the crowd was silent. Everypony had a blank expression on their faces, that is until one started laughing. The whole crowd erupted with laughter along with her. "Ponies! This is no joke!" Twilight yelled, "We are in grave danger!" ((See what I did there? No? Screw you.)) The ponies stopped laughing. "Wait, you're serious?!" Somepony shouted from the crowd. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." The crowd was yet again silent. Then a light blue mare with a short, pink mane walked out of the crowd. She barred a heart drawn by a tablet pen for a cutie mark and had green eyes. "My name is Cotton Candy Sweets, what can I do to help?" She spoke. After that, a dark blue stallion walked from the crowd. He had light blue hair that looked like Rainbow Dash's and barred a cutie mark of a pen on paper. "My name is Penpal, what can I do to help?" He spoke. "You look like an author. Maybe you could write a log in case other ponies ever find us," Twilight answered another pony., "you can all help! We need to work together on this! Come on to Sugarcube Corner, where I'll debate what you can do!" Everypony started heading calmly towards the bakery "This might be easier than I thought," Twilight said to herself.
The attackPonies were assigned jobs already and the smaller ponies were in the stores, which were now the nurseries and homes. Parts of the barricades were already built, and ponies from the edge of the settlement were evacuated. Unicorns have designed weapons, and most everything was going fine. There was only one problem. Some ponies didn't believe Twilight. "Sir, please! We need you out of this house!" Twilight was trying to convince a stallion to move to the safe grounds. It wasn't working well. "Oh right, I'm gonna leave my comfy home for these so called 'zed'?" He argued back at her, not giving in. "Sir, this is a serious problem! I'm concerned of your safety!" "I'm not going for it! Now get of my house!" The stallion rudely pushed Twilight Sparkle out and slammed the door. "Maybe now I can finish my book..." Twilight gave up and walked away, not seeing the zebra staggering down the street, making it's way towards the stallion's house. With Twilight out of site, the blood-covered zebra sniffed the air for the closest target. It scented the stubborn stallion within the house. Having smelled a living being, it charged at the house, slamming into the door. "I told you I won't get out!" Came a muffled voice from inside the house. The sound of something breathing made the uncontrollable diseased one furious. Zecora started smashing her head into the door, busting it open. Seeing the blood covered zebra made the stallion scream. "Oh Celestia! They were right! HEEEEEEELP!" Nopony heard the stallion. No help wass coming. He was doomed. The zebra charged toward him, lashing out it's front hooves and shrieking in hunger. The stallion screeched as the strong teeth of an undead Zecora sank her teeth straight into the chest of him. He lashed out his hooves, punching her in the face repeatedly, but that did nothing. She tore her teeth through muscle and skin, blood pouring out of the wound. Bite after bite, more blood gushed out and more screams were emitted, until they finally stopped. Zecora had fed, but her hunger was impossible to satisfy. She sniffed the air for more flesh, still seething with anger. She picked up on the sent of ponies out the door. Hungry, she bolted towards the door, ready for her next meal. Right after the stallion died, "Okay ponies! We need to set up barricades today!" Twilight Sparkle yelled over a megaphone, "Take wooden boards, nails, and tools from the buildings around us and give it to B Squad!" The ponies obediently started towards the stores and gathered wooden boards, scrap metal, tools, and nails. Once gathered, they would take it to the Building Squad and they would set up barricades. Tools leftover from building will be used as weapons. "Hey, guys! I found Fluttershy!" A guard shouted from his post. He didn't notice the blood on her mouth or on her hooves. "That's great! Rainbow! Send somepony to get her!" Twilight commanded. "Okay, Cloud Kicker!" Rainbow called, "Go over the barricade and lead her in." Cloud Kicker saluted Rainbow and flew over the barricade towards Fluttershy. "Oh my gosh!" She yelled when she saw the blood on Fluttershy. "What happened?!" The only reply she got was a grunt as Fluttershy lunged at her. She let out a yelp, but she was out of sound range and nopony heard. They were focusing on work to do on the barricades and didn't see them. When Cloud Kicker was on the ground, Fluttershy made her move. she darted her head towards Cloud Kicker's neck, but she was trained for this. She craned her neck so the teeth missed and her face hit the ground, then proceeded to bucking her off with her back hooves. Fluttershy yelped as she flew into the air, away from Cloud Kicker. She landed on her side and let out a pained screech. Cloud Kicker tried to jump up and fly away, but Fluttershy was fast and flew right from the ground to swoop down on her. Cloud Kicker fell to the ground, face first, with Fluttershy on her back. She wasn't trained for this, however. Fluttershy closed her jaw around Cloud Kicker's back, tearing the skin open. Cloud screamed, barely being heard from the barricaded area. Fluttershy chomped into the same area, gulping down muscle and blood. Cloud kicked and screamed, being heard by only one guard pony. Lyra used her magic to locate the source of the screaming. She saw FLuttershy on top of Cloud's back, eating into the skin. She lit her horn, sounding a signal to other guards that Cloud was in danger. As soon as everypony came to see the seen of the crime, the two pegasi were gone. All that remained was a pool of blood. "Somepony, get Twilight Sparkle!" a guard shouted, "This is code #52!" One of the scout pegasi flew as fast as they could towards Sugarcube Corner, which was now Town Hall, where Twilight Sparkle was making orders. The pegasus burst in the door, screaing, "TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! CODE #52!" Twilight didn't panic. She stayed calm and started sending orders to the guard ponies. "Okay," she said through magic messages, "code #52. Stand on full guard. Let nopony in, Watch for ponies Cloud Kicker and Fluttershy specifically." "Yes ma'am!" the commander unicorn massaged back. A sudden shriek was heard from guard post #4. Lyra's post. "Alright!" the commander shouted again, "All ponies, to post #4! Code #52 step 1!" The commander busted open, but in the post, there was nothing but blood again, and a lot of it. Lyra was nowhere to be found. "Oh. no! They have a pegasus and a unicorn! Code Red! I repeat, code red!" But before anypony could react, the door to the post closed and locked. "A next meal, how delightful" Fluttershy swooped from her hiding spot on the ceiling onto one of the unicorns. A minute earlier, at the post, Lyra screamed as Fluttershy swooped in the window. She was thrown to the ground by the force of her hooves. "I've tasted a zebra, an Earth pony, and a pegasus," Fluttershy said in a deep, horrifying voice. "I wonder how unicorns taste." Lyra got her mind working. She was also a huge zed person. She thought Fluttershy could possibly be a superior zed. She could think about things, talk, but she couldn't exactly control herself. The disease took over her mind and controlled her, making her able to speak and think things through for her next meal. Fluttershy chomped into Lyra's chest, savoring the taste, when she heard the guard ponies coming. Lyra couldn't breathe or talk, due to blood pouring out of her mouth, so Fluttershy threw her out the window and climbed to her hiding place for the guards. Back to the original time, Fluttershy tore a hole into the skin of the unicorn, then jumped to the other. She repeated this on another then finally got knocked off. But the disease that was in her saliva was supplied from the brain to be fast acting. The unicorns that were bitten now got up and attacked the others. Guard squad #2 was now wiped out. Ponyville was now in trouble.
The immune 3It is always said that all ponies are immune to at least one sickness. Some have simple immunities, like from the cold or the chicken pox. Others? Well, lets say that some ponies can't become undead... too bad there are only three... Havoc spread throughout Ponyville. At least half the population were mindless, flesh hungry zed. The strongest of all ponies were guarding the filly houses. But a group of six had their own plan. Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash had been bitten.. It's been an hour since the bite, and they haven't turned. "We're the immune!" Rainbow Dash, being a nerd over zed, knows that there is always a group that will never turn. "That's preposterous!" Rarity yelled, "How can we be immune to such a disease?!" "Well, ah don' know, but we're darn lucky for it," Applejack spoke up. The three have barricaded the barn, taking their sisters with them, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. But they knew they couldn't only protect those two. Rainbow Dash took Scootaloo along with them, too. "Ya'll alright back there?" Applejack shouted behind her. The three fillies were shaking in fear, unable to respond. "Poor girls, they can't die without their cutie marks! We're gonna live through this, ya hear?" "O-Okay," Applebloom shuttered. "Applejack, Rarity, guard the entrances," Rainbow Dash commanded, "I'm gonna devise a plan." "Sure thing, Dash," Applejack replied, Rarity walking to the other entrance to guard. "Okay, so Ponyville is bucked, Appleoosa is too far away, and Canterlot is the only other city near us that will believe us." Rainbow Dash brought a map of Equestria with her to tha barn, just in case, :This path goes straight from Ponyville to Canterlot, but is infested. This path, however, is near us and quiet, but is way longer. Obvious answer. Applejack, get a cart and a lot of apples. This is gonna be a long journey. I'm gonna pull the cart to Canterlot. There's too much weight to fly their. We might need two carts, actually. Applejack will pull one with Rarity, Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom, while I'll take Scootaloo and all the supplies we need. Got that?" "Got it!" both Rarity and Applejack yelled, "I'll go get a cart full of supplies from the cellar. I'll go back down an get a driving cart. Ya'll hold tight, ya hear?" Applejack ran out of the door she was guarding, leaving Rainbow Dash to guard herself. Applejack went straight towards the cellar, not risking anypony being out here. She got a cart, filled it with apples from the harvest, and made her way back. "Cart #1 is here!" Applejack shouted, "Scootaloo, get yerself comfy in there. I'll go get the driving cart!" "Okay," Scootaloo said, picking herself up to walk to the cart, "so Rainbow Dash is pulling this one?" "Yep! And I'll tell you, it's gonna be Cart #Cool!" Rainbow Dash answered, getting a giggle from Scootaloo. Applejack came back with the driving cart attached to her back. "Allrighty, let's get ta Canterlot!" She said, jumping onto her back hooves and kicking her front hooves in the air. Rarity, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle got on the cart and Rainbow grabbed a few of the spare pipes in the barn. "Whaddya need those for?" Applebloom asked, looking at the pipes. "Just in case we run into any of them. It's gonna be a long trip." They headed out of the barn, ready for the long journey ahead of them. Too bad they didn't know that the zed were on their way, too. Ten minutes later, down the road, "Jeez, it feels like it's been SOOO LONG," Scootaloo groaned. They were pretty far from Ponyville, but they still weren't safe from the zed. "Scootaloo, quit yer whining," Applejack said, "we're all bored." "Actually, Applejack," Rainbow spoke up, being silent for the time they were walking, "We could take a small break. There's a huge clearing up the road. If we get there, we can have a break and eat an apple or two. The crusaders could play a game of tag or something." "Sounds good, but what if the infected ones come?" Applejack replied. Applejack secretly read books on the zed too, though they were called infected in her books. "Oh, well we'll defend the crusaders," Rainbow said, almost casually, "Rainbow, a pipe isn't going to fight off a horde of infected. We gotta keep moving." "I was just trying to raise moral..." "I have an idea!" Rarity spoke up, "I could do little tricks with my magic to help pass- "YOUR MAGIC!" Rainbow shouted, scaring Rarity, "We could TELEPORT there!" "Rainbow, my dear, I could only teleport two ponies at a time. I couldn't POSSIBLY take all off you there!" "Just take us one by one, starting with the crusaders!" "Rainbow, I cold only do it three times in a row at this moment. I could take two crusaders to safety plus myself, but you three must stay." "Well, take Sweetie Belle and Scoots. The rest of us will be fine." "Rainbow, are you sure? I mean, wouldn't I be a bad friend? "Rarity, just take the two and get to Canterlot. It would be safer to travel that way. Less weight." "If you insist..." Rarity hugged Sweetie Belle and her horn started to glow. After about 5 seconds of them hugging tightly with a magical orb surrounding them, a huge blue flash appeared and Rarity and Sweetie Belle were gone. Rainbow motioned for Applejack to stop walking, so when she teleports back, she'll be in the same place. A brilliant blue flash appeared and Rarity sat in Rainbow Dash's cart now. She grabbed Scootaloo and lit her horn, performing the spell yet again. A blue flash signaled the last teleport, and that Rainbow and Applejack could move on. "Now hold on," Applebloom said, "Why am ah the only one to stay?" "Because Rarity would be gone with her sister while you're with your sister," Rainbow replied, "Scootaloo wasn't a sister to anypony here." "Ah guess that makes sense..." "Now, Applejack, I'm gonna pack the apples in your cart along with me and we're gonna get going. Me and you will take turns pulling the cart." "Okay, I guess that seems fair," Applejack said. Rainbow went to go unhook herself to the cart. When she pulled free, she heard a noise from the side of her. She flapped her wings and jumped 3 meters to the air. She quickly dropped into the cart and pulled out one of the pipes. "Make your move!" She yelled, towards the sound. A blue stallion jumped out of the surrounding trees. Rainbow, however, didn't notice that he wasn't bitten or damaged. She swung the pipe at his leg, causing him to fall with a shriek. Just before Rainbow made the final blow, she realized that he wasn't infected. "Omigosh! I'm so sorry!" Rainbow yelled, "Here, let me help you into the cart!" After examining him, she realized it was Penpal. "I'm so sorry, Penpal! You just scared me!" Penpal noticed the bites on Applejack and Rainbow. "YOU'RE BITTEN!" He exclaimed, "YOU'RE INFECTED!" "No, Penpal, we're immune. Please, just come on. We're going to Canterlot." "Okay then," Penpal said as Rainbow dropped him into her cart. "Looks like you're not carrying me and the supplies anymore," Rainbow mumbled towards Applejack as she harnessed herself in. "It's gonna be a long walk," Applejack said as they started down the path again.
