This is My Story

As we walked back to the cottage I got strange looks from the local animals, If it wasn't for my hard shell a few of the bee stings would have actually hurt. She did stand up for me, Fluttershy, she told the animals that if she was my friend then they can be my friend. I tasted it again, happiness. Gosh, I liked it so much, I think I prefer happiness over love. The only way I will get to taste love again is to deceive. And if I do that I might lose my only friend. That was something I was not going to do!

"Hey Fluttershy..." I was watching her flank. Its a good thing my face is made of a hard shell otherwise she would have seen it turn a different shade of red.

"yes, what can I do for you?" Fluttershy slowed her pace so that she was walking besides me.

"um nothing, I just wanted to know, when you told the animals you were my friend if that was true...?" I look in her eyes, almost pleading for an answer

"Of course. everybody is my friend if they don't try to eat me!" Fluttershy answered rather quickly but I knew it was the truth. I could feel myself getting stronger. I was feeding on all this extra emotion. It made me feel full, something that I hadn't felt in a while.

"thank you so much" I through my hoof around her neck and we continued to walk.

"we're here" She ducked down and my hoof dropped to the deck with a loud *clack. If my ears weren't attached to my head they would have hit the ground too. I liked walking like that. She reached in her saddle bag for a key, she pulled it out and twisted the lock and pushed the door aside. "come on in, get used to you new home"

"oh wow, you have so many animals!" I looked at the ceiling it was covered with bird houses and the bottom had fluffy beds everywhere. The walls had lots of pictures of animals too!

"I know, I love animals, I got my cutie mark because of animals!" She smiled tilting her beautiful flank so that I could admire her cutie mark. I was looking at something else but whatever...

"Not to try to be rude or anything, but where can I sleep?" I looked around, I really hoped she didn't make me sleep on the couch

"um, well if its ok with you I have a bay window in my bedroom you could sleep in, I do have to warn you, birds wake up very earlier to and usually go through that window." She gave an 'I hope that's ok' grin

"Perfect, I like waking up to fresh smells!" I hate waking up early but I would get to be near Fluttershy so it would all be worth it

"Yay" Fluttershy pumped her hoof in the air. She then waved me up and I followed her. Once we were upstairs she opened up a closet to pull out some covers. I could have sworn I saw a Playcolt.

"Thanks" I grabbed the covers and placed them neatly folding them in a way so that it was extra plush so that I could just sleep on top. "Hey Futtershy"

"yes Mister Changling, you are a mister right?" Fluttershy cocked her head

"yes I am the male of my species, um but I was wondering if you had anything to eat" I blushed at the question, did I look like a mare?

"oh um I don't think we have any meat-"

"I'm not just a carnivore I can eat anything" I interrupted making sure she knew I wasn't gonna eat her prized animals

"well in that case would you like a cherry and dandelion sandwich. That's my favorite" Fluttershy smiled now

"Id love one! May I help you make it?" I just wanted to spend more time with her

"oh yes please, could you check in the cabinets above the sink and find the bread?" She smiled still

"yup, on my way now... and Fluttershy... Thanks for letting me stay with you, I appreciate your kindness!" I looked back at her before I walked downstairs the smile she wore softened and I thought I saw tears of joy, Made me smile too. I then headed downstairs to start the sandwich.

After lunch Fluttershy decided it would be a good idea to try to introduce me to her friends, I hope this goes well...
