This is My Story

Pain... That's the first thing I felt. The comfort, a soft object brushing my face over and over.

I was lying down. In a bed somewhere and I had something draped over my eyes. I reached my hoof up and removed a wet towel from my forehead. I could see it was Fluttershy stroking my face with her hoof.

"Fluttershy!" When I saw her face, relief flooded my body. She was OK, my purpose stilled existed.

"Change! Oh I'm so glad! Your alive!" She smiled, I could see steams of tears that filled her eyes and fell of her face. She hugged me. I felt myself devouring the emotions as they poured from her body! It took all my willpower not to sink my fangs into her neck as we hugged. I felt my shell beginning to harden again. My wings became hole and my blood dried up.

"What happened?" I sat up and looked around the room. I was in some sort of strange... hospital? Yes I think I was in a hospital. But I was with 'Shy so I didn't care.

"You got in a bit of a fight." Her eyes began to water again. "I'm so sorry! This was my fault!" Tears steamed from her eyes and she buried her head into the softer part of my chest. "You could h-have d-died and i-it would h-h-have been all m-my fault! I'm so sorry Change. I never would have forgave myself if I let you die!" This time I hugged her back. I did what changelings are supposed to feed off of. I gave her what little loved I had in my soulless heart.

I pulled her up to level with me and nuzzled her. I took in every last scent. She smelt of flowers and grass and, not to sound cliche but an autumn breeze kinda smell. I stuck my head in her mane and hugged the ponyfeathers out of it! I patted her on the back too, until the crying stopped. Then we just sat there hugging. It was the warmest and best feeling in my life! I got to sit there with the mare of my dreams in my hooves and she was kinda enjoying it once she realized I wasn't going to die. As her breathing finally eased she poured one emotion filled hug into my system.

A small snap noise was herd. I looked to my left hoof where the I.V. had been inserted, the needled had broke off when my shell closed shut! I was healed and stronger than ever! I had the 'love' of the Pegasus beside me to feed off of and it made me heal! I pulled her in and nuzzled her! (mainly cause I just wanted another nuzzle from her)

"Thanks Fluttershy, for being with me when I needed you!" I just stared into her perfect blue teal-ed eyes. She was perfect.

"No problem, I'm still so sorry for getting you into this!" 'Shy said

"Are you kidding me, This was not your fault, I was just trying to protect you. From the looks of it I did a good job!"

"yeah you did, thanks for that! but there's one small thing I forgot to tell you..."

"Don't worry about it! Now what about your last friend that we were going to meet! You seemed really exited for me to see her yesterday, I'm sure she'd be willing to talk to us today also, once she learned what happened."

"I'm right here..." A rainbow colored mare stood in the doorway. I heard Fluttershy let out a small eep* I got out off bed and walked over to this mare.

"Nice to meet you my names Change" I stuck out my hoof, but when she didn't take it I just put my hoof on the floor again awkwardly... I tried not to stare but it looked like this mare had also been crying, she looked pretty banged up too, had a bandage on her wings and dry blood on her hooves.

"Hi Change, look I'm really really really sorry for what I did last night" Tears swelled in her eyes. I looked back at Fluttershy for answers but she was crying too. "I was just trying to protect Flutterhsy!" The rainbow mare was crying full blown now. "I never meant to hurt anypony!"

"What are you talking about I looked down again and noticed something else. The blood on her hoof was a lighter red. Only a changling has blood that color. I took a step back at the discovery I had just made. She was the girl that had attack us last night!

It took a while for us all to calm down. I will admit I tried to keep myself between her and Fluttershy for most of the conversation. But it became clear to me that she was just trying to protect 'Shy too. She had said she had been napping on a cloud waiting for Fluttershy to show up with her friend. Rainbow had assumed that the friend was going to be a pony and was surprised to see a changeling considering that she had just fought some a few weeks back. Without much thinking she just went into Protective Dash Mode, and tried to stop me from 'hurting' Fluttershy. She had no idea that I was the friend that 'Shy had made and wanted her to meet. It took a long time for her to explain between the spastic cry's and sucking in the air. When she was finished 'Shy had said sorry for her at  least a million times and Dash had apologized a lot too. It seemed she really did feel bad about hurting me.

"It's okay..." I said

"w-what?" Rainbow Dash was still sobbing kinda hard

"I meant I forgive you"

"After what I did, you're just going to forgive me?"

"Trust me, If this had happened a few days ago, I probably would have tried to eat you by now, yes I forgive you!"

"But w-why? I tried to kill you!"

"Because, if Fluttershy can be friends with you, than I am determined to be friends with you. I really like Fluttershy!"

"..." Dash just sat there dumbfounded that this so called 'monster' was showing enough compassion to forgive her for what she tried to do

"Rainbow Dash I understand completely your feelings!, All you were trying to do was protect Fluttershy. We both got hurt for the same reasons!"

"..." Still no response

"Dash, I wouldn't have tried so hard just to be given the silent treatment! I want to be friends with anybody Fluttershy is friends with. I am willing to put all of this behind us if your willing to give me a chance!"

With one last sniffle the prismatic mare was able to muster up "Definitely! Anybody who is that loyal to Fluttershy is good in my books! Even through I don't like reading that much!" We all laughed at the last remark

"Thank you both for making up, and thank you Dash for apologizing" Fluttershy spoke up finally "I think we will have to try to meet up again later, maybe with less fighting next time please?"

"Definitely" Me and Rainbow said it at the same time and looked at each other. We hoof bumped and she hugged 'Shy then got up and left.

"Thanks Change for being so forgiving" Fluttershy grabbed her saddle packs and walked over to the window to wave goodbye as her speedster friend flew away into the sunlight. SUNLIGHT, it was the next day already!

"wow, how long was I out?"

"um, a few days, I think two"

"Dang, remind me not to tickle her anytime soon"

Even though 'Shy laughed at my joke she said "That's not funny" We both proceeded out the door and began our path back to Fluttershy's cottage.
