A chilling rendition of an old folk song played quietly in the background, keeping the sort of mood one would expect of the Magi of old. I paced between the bookshelves lining the walls of my tower, looking for a particular tome in the large collection. After a what felt like years, but was more likely minutes, I found the book in question. Said book just so happened to be my journal of tests, a few of which were rituals of immense power (that I could never preform, being that I am mortal, but still) or just that spell I made that one time to summon a small rabbit so long as I had in my possession a top hat. The one I was looking for was a modified marking rune, which one would use to maerk a spot to teleport to from long distances instead of doing something like chain-blinking, which is very trying on a magi's mana.
