Nightmare Moon could tolerate getting defeated...multiple times. She could handle being reformed, she could deal with the moderate annoyance of the Element bearers. Heck, she could sit in court all day next to Celestia, watching snobbish nobles blabber before her. But the icing on the cake, is when Celestia invites Equestria's lone human to stay in the castle, and Nightmare Moon is having none of it.
