This is not what we expected at all.

"Spike, send a letter to princess Celestia." Twilight said sadly "Tell her Pinkie Pie died and send the report."

"On it."

After a few minutes of silence, a letter came to Twilight. The letter explained that with Equestria not having a proper police force, she and her friends need to find this murderer before he or she harms anyone else.

"Girls, gather your stuff and meet me here in one hour. We're going to find this sick bastard and bring him to justice."

The four mares did as instructed and an hour later arrived with nearly full saddle bags. The four were a bit confused as to why they were going on this, and Rarity asked "Why are we going to go on this adventure, darling?"

"The princess said to find this sick excuse of a pony and bring him in to her for a proper interrogation and verdict."

"Do you want to read the letter?" Spike asked.

"I would love to read that letter, Spike" Rarity responded

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I see what haappened to your good friend Pinkie Pie, and it tears me apart to hear about it. I know you must be hurting right now. I understand how you feel. I know that it's hard to cope with the loss of one of your friends, as I myself am no stranger to that feeling, but you need to find this pony, as we don't have a real police force, and bring him or her to me so this pony can get the proper punishment. Leave no stone unturned.

"That is why the six of us are doing this. Celestia asked us to go on this to find this murderous asshole and-"

"Twilight!"

"Sorry, Spike, but I am just really angry that somepony MURDERED Pinkie.

"I am angry too and you hear me speaking like that."

"I know, I know."

"Well we ain't gettin' anything done by standin' around talkin' about language." said Applejack

"You're right. Girls, we first need to go to ask that detective about the crime scene." Twilight said "Rainbow Dash, find detective Gumshoe. He is a green unicorn stallion with a black mane and tail. His cutie mark is a magnifying glass. Wait, show him this. He might need to see a paper written by me to get him to talk. Tell him that I sent you." Rainbow Dash then left to find the detective.

"What about my sister? My parents are out of town for a few weeks." said Rarity.

"Hmmm, Applejack, do you think Sweetie Belle could stay at your house with Apple Bloom?"

"Ah don't see why not."

"Fluttershy, do you think Owlowicious and Pee-wee can stay with your other animals?" asked Twilight

"I see no pro-"

"Why can't I watch them?" Spike asked

"Because you're coming with us." Twilight answered bluntly.

"Well I guess they would cause no harm in staying with my other animals."

"Great! Now Applejack, go with Rarity to your farm and ask your family if they can take Sweetie Belle. And Fluttershy."

"Yes?"

"Do you have arrangements for somepony to feed your animals?"

"No. I almost forgot about that"

"Okay. Applejack, ask if they could feed Fluttershy's animals as well."Twilight said "Oh and Fluttershy, do you have any special feeding instructions?"

"Yes I do, actually."

"Then you might want to go with Applejack and Rarity."

"Okay, I'll go with them."

"Meet me back here, okay." said Twilight as Rainbow Dash returned with a piece of paper detailing the evidence.

"Rainbow, do you want to go to Sugarcube Corner with me to ask Mr. and Mrs. Cake some questions?"

"Sure."

As the six friends parted to do different tasks, with Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity taking the animals to Fluttershy's cottage and delivering Sweetie Belle to Applejack's farm, and Rainbow Dash, Spike, and Twilight to Sugarcube Corner to ask a few questions, their adventure began.
