//-------------------------------------------------------// Luna's new Friend -by THE MIGHTY PINKIE- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Under the Moonlight Glow //-------------------------------------------------------// Under the Moonlight Glow The sun had just been lowered, just past the mountains remained a small ray of light beaming up through the clouds, creating a red and yellow aura shinning across the sky. As the sun descended, the light faded into the dark of night and out in the the distance the first stars could be seen twinkling in the starlight. Once the sun disappeared completely and the faint stars could be seen, the large white celestial body rose up from the east. The moon shining down in all its beauty, making the stars shine even brighter. Two ponies lay on the ground in the Canterlot gardens; the dark blue one horn glowing and wings spread out on the ground and the other, staring at the sky in awe. His blue, orange and red mane waving in the slight breeze. "wow" was the only thing he could muster as the sky began to take shape in blue and green aura as the sun went down "Luna i'v never realized how amazing this sight is" Luna opened her eyes and her horn stopped glowing, looking at her friend and blushing "Thank you Azure, it is a pleasure to be appreciated for my work" Azure flare watched the stars dance in the moonlight, the moon had now entered the center of the sky and was shinning on the two ponies. Azure stopped looking and focused his attention on his friend, Her mane sparkling. He never knew how her mane sparkled like that but he just though it was something that an Alicorn like her self is born like "Luna your amazing" Azure said "Do you know that?" Luna smiled at the stallion lying next to him "We have been told that we have a certain... mystical quality about myself" "let me guess, was that Celestia?" Azure said sarcastically Luna looked back at pony, who was now grinning at her. This caused Luna to grin to and they both let out a laugh that anypony in the garden could hear, The laughter soon died down and Luna answered "Yes azure it was" still chuckling a little. Azure calmed down before he spoke again "I mean it Luna, its truly unique. Your the only pony i know who can do this" Luna looked back at Azure who was now staring at the stars again "Thank you, ever since we was saved from our envious self, no  pony seemed to trust us" Luna stared back at the sky, stars dancing and shimmering "you were the only one who trusted us and became our true friend, for that we are in your debt" Azure glanced back at Luna "Luna, why do you keep saying that?" Luna became confused at her friend, looking back at him "we do not follow" "Luna" Azure chuckled at the fact Luna was oblivious "you always say we, our or us, Why?" "It is professional to use the Royal Canterlot "We" when regarding ourselves" "Luna you are your own pony, with your own life and personality. You shouldn't need to say that, especially to me." Azure smiled at Luna, which she returned. He then held her hoof hi his "You are my Best friend, i want you to be yourself. Not somepony everyone else wants to see" Luna began to think about how many times Azure was there for him: The time Discord returned, he was with her on the business trip to Saddle Arabia and was also with her when Canterlot was attacked by Changlings. Azure has been there for her since day one, ever since they met the night she returned. They met when Luna was taking a stroll around Canterlot and had bumped into Azure, and had talked way into the night. Ever since then they had been meeting every day. "Azure" Luna said softly and blushing "You are very sweet, it is an honor to be friends with you. we have never had a friend like you and for that we are so grateful, you have done many things for us so it is our duty to give something back." Luna sat up bringing Azure with, She then hugged him softly. Wrapping her wings around the smaller unicorn "You are my best friend Azure Flare, please never forget that" Azure hugged back smiling contently "i promise, you are my best friend too" The two shared the hug for what seemed like days but only lasted a minute or so, Azure spoke up saying "Luna, can i show you something" Luna nodded smiling at the same time, Azure quickly closed his eyes and began to channel energy into his horn which glowed bright red. Small beads of blue flames spawned from his horn, encircling the two in a dark blue light. It was six flames he created, they were now dancing around the two ponies, bobbing up and down. The flames then began to switch color from, blue to purple, to red, to pink, to green, to yellow and back again. Luna watched silently, gazing at the new lights around her. Azure then stopped and looked at Luna with a slight grin on his face, she was giggling at the flames dancing about. She then stopped as she saw Azure grinning at her "Its beautiful Azure" "you haven't seen nothing yet" Azure said confidently, going back to channeling energy into his horn As soon as he did that the flames around them began to ascend upwards into the sky, to a point in where the flames where circling the moon. Luna followed them up with her eyes, still gawking at their beauty. The flames then stopped and shot up to the stars in a different direction to each other, making the stars shine colors no pony would have ever seen before. The Arura Borialis was lining the sky with all sorts of colors, making the night sky light up. Luna was gobsmacked, she had never seen anything like this before. Even she could not do something like this without straining herself, she was still staring at the glimmering lights. She Oblivious to the fact that Azure had now sat next to her again. "Luna" Azure whispered "Your night is filled with endless possibilities, so much hope, so many dreams unfulfilled. That's what i love about your night anything can happen if you put your mind to it, you can't do this during the day." Luna's eyes filled with tears, not because she was sad but because she was happy. Happy because someone other than her own sister appreciates her own night. Luna looked back at Azure and brought him into a tight embrace, startling Azure but he soon returned the hug "I love you Azure"
