It was raining. It always seems to rain when bad stuff happened to us. I sat at the top of a tall wooden post in the middle of the battle grounds. I couldn't believe it. It had already been over two and a half months and I was still in shock. My brother, Red, was dead. The chills mercilessly attacked my body and soul. One of the Assassin's walked up to the base of the pillar and yelled up. "Hey, you bastard! What's wrong? Can't function without your worthless piece of shit brother?" My eyes shot down at him, glaring knives at him. "Percival, just stop." I heard one of the other Assassin's say. As he began to walk away, I jumped down, landing in the wet mud. "Hey, prick!" I shouted, causing him to swing around. "You wanted a fight right? Then come here." I said, getting into a fighting position as lightning ripped across the sky, lighting up the area and shinning off my charcoal colored scales. Normally, I would fight him with everything I had, but I was in such a deep state of depression and rage, that my beastial instincts kicked in and I fought him with intent to kill, catching all his punches one handed. He swung at me, making direct contact with my chest, only to step back howling in pain after being stabbed by my scales, which were standing on end and rippling across my body due to my current amount of rage. I dodged his punches, catching most of them and using my tail to deflect the rest. I tripped backwards on a rock that was hidden by the mud, and he used that moment to stab me in the heart with a long sword. Everyone gasped as they watched the horrific event. "DRACO!" Krystal yelled as she ran towards my limp body. After she realized I was unresponsive, she yelled out every swear in the Daedric language. "YOU BASTARD!!!" she yelled as she charged him, Amaterasu already drawn. He turned around and simply backhanded her into the mud. "You foolish little girl. If your husband, the great Draco Takashi, could not beat me, what makes you think you can?" he asked, taunting her. "Because I won't lose to an arrogant prick like you." she replied, spitting blood at him. This obviously set him off cause he pulled out his hand gun and fired at her. There was the sound of impact and then silence. A long, deafening silence. When Krystal opened her eyes, I was standing in front of her, crimson red blood flowing down from my arm where the bullet had made impact and from where the sword had previously been. "Draco?" she asked. "Yeah." "You're alive?" "It takes a lot more than a sword to kill me." "How are you still alive? I stabbed you through the damn heart!" he yelled. "Ha ha ha. You can never kill me, only slow me down." I said with a smirk. But that smile quickly became a frown. "Now you've crossed the line. I am very cross. Fighting me is one thing, but when you endanger my family...Well, you better hope I don't catch you. Now then, let me show you how to properly end this fight." I disappeared then reappeared behind him with something in my hand. With one quick, smooth motion, I smashed him on the side of the head with a piece of a petrified tree, knocking him out cold. "That ends that." I said, walking away to lick my wounds.I was in my room with Krystal as she cleaned my wounds. "Ow. Watch it, I need that arm." I complained. "Hold still and maybe you'll keep it." Krystal retorted as she pulled the bullet out of my shoulder. She dropped the 9mm mag into the metal bowl. "That's a pretty big bullet you had in you." she said. "I've had worse." I joked. "Thank you Draco, for saving me." I kissed her. "As long as you're with me, I'll always have a reason to keep living." "Excuse me? May I come in?" asked a voice. "You may enter." I replied. A young girl entered, probably in her early teens. She wore custom robes. Mostly black with silver trimming. Her red visor shown against the silver interior of her hood. On her back, designed with silver, were the wings of a dragonfly. "So, you are our newest recruit?" I asked. "Yes. My name is Omega." she said. I went to say something, but was cut off by Krystal putting a cleaning agent over the silver scar that went across my right eye. My normally emerald eye, turned yellow by the chemicals that covered the weapon which had been used to give me said scar not three weeks ago, stared at her. "If you don't take care of that scar, you'll have a lot more problems than you realize." she said. I nodded in agreement and looked back towards Omega. "Listen, there has been a lot more Templar activity as of late. They've even gone so far as to attack us in broad daylight. That is why , since you are new, I would like you to join a team with Krystal and myself." I said. ";I don't see why not. Sure." "Good. Get some rest. We set out at dawn." "Yes sir."
