The birds chirping while Winona barked at them, but today wasn't any normal summer morning. No, today was special for little Apple Bloom. She darted towards the door when it swung open "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" the Apple family shouted with delight. "Y'all old timers actually remembered!" Apple Bloom shouted. "How could we forget?" Applejack questioned her, "you're probably the only thing keepin' me sane right now." "Eeyup," Big Mac said as calm as usual. They went downstairs to see a towering apple cake on the kitchen table. "Your brother and ah made this cake for you." Apple Bloom went from excited to stern, " the cake looks good, but couldn't ya have used pears instead?" The Apples stood silent, A smile formed on Apple Bloom's face, "ah'm kiddin'." The Apple family broke out laughing. An hour passed when a knock was heard at the door. "Must be yur friends," AJ assumed. A marshmallow-colored filly and an orange pegasus walked in to the kitchen, "could've saved some for us," the pegasus said. "Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle!" Apple Bloom was excited to see them. "Lookin' for these?" Apple Bloom opened the family ice box to reveal two slices of cake reserved for them.A magical, green aura surrounded one of the plates and Scootaloo went to grab the other one. The two ate in silence, "And, Applejack does it again, baking the best sweets around." Sweetie Belle broke the silence "Damn right she does," Scootaloo blurts out. "Happy Birthday by the way," the two say in unison. The trio head out to the scooter with the attached wagon on the back. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom put their helmets on, but Scootaloo is trying to find hers. "Where is it?!" Scootaloo was getting frustrated. Sweetie Belle took advantage of this opportunity, "I think it's somewhere over there," pointing in a random direction. Scootaloo went in the pointed direction. Apple Bloom stared at her flank anxiously, a flaming scooter was seemingly glued to her sides. "When are you going to make a move?" Sweetie Belle asked, refocusing her attention on the real world, "you know she's clueless." "Ah know that," Apple Bloom almost mumbled, "it's just, what if she doesn't feel the same way as me?" Apple Bloom asked, getting teary eyed. "Okay, even if she said no, she wouldn't try to hurt you, would she?" "I don't see her saying no to an amazing filly like you anyway," Sweetie Belle said in her in gentlest voice, Apple Bloom smiled at those uplifting words, "plus, if Scootaloo hurt you in anyway, Applejack would probably kick her ass." This got Apple Bloom to chuckle. She liked Sweetie Belle for this. Whenever she felt sad, defeated, or just crushed, Sweetie Belle would always be there to literally talk her into a good mood. A quarter note sharp resides on her flanks, she could put her power words into lyrics if she wanted. Apple Bloom had a blank flank still. "You lovebirds find my helmet?" Scootaloo stood over them, waiting for a response, nothing."Cool, because AJ found my helmet while you two were talking about Celestia knows what." They rode to Sugarcube Corner. "How does it feel to be twelve?" The two asked Apple Bloom in unison, "we've gotta stop doing that," they both said together. The moment they walked into Sugarcube Corner. "So ah was thinkin'," Apple Bloom was directing the attention to Scootaloo, but Pinkie Pie started seating them, "they're busy upstairs," is all she would respond with when the cakes were asked about. There sitting with them was Spike, a grey pegasus colt, and a lavender unicorn who looked younger than the other foals there. She looks familiar, Apple Bloom thought. "Dinky, Dinky Doo," the young unicorn spoke up. "Happy Birthday." "Hey Rumble," Scootaloo simply said. "What's up, Scootaloo?" The colt responded. "We're celebrating her birthday," Scootaloo answered. "Apple Bloom," the yellow earth pony blurted out, "ah'm Apple Bloom." "Well Happy Birthday, Apple Bloom," he said excitedly, "nice to meet a friend of Scootaloo's." They started small talk until Pinkie got to their table to take their orders. "Vanilla," Sweetie Belle answered. "Chocolate shake," Scootaloo said, in a cool tone. Apple Bloom bit her tounge. The other three ordered quickly. "And what would you like, birthday filly?" Pinkie asked the yellow filly. "The pink one," Apple Bloom gently responded. Pinkie went to place the orders. Apple Bloom sat there awkwardly next to Scootaloo, then asked, "are you two, like, dating?" "No! He is way out of my league." "What a relief because ah thought for a second-" She froze, realizing she was just about to spill out her emotions in front of the love of her life. Pinkie came back with the shakes. "Here, here, here, and here you all are." "Except you, Apple Bloom!" It wasn't like Pinkie Pie to just not serve somepony what they ordered. She walked away, staring at her. "What was that all about?" Scootaloo looked freaked out. Sweetie Belle smirked at the two of them. "What?" Apple Bloom and Scootaloo harmonically asked. Apple Bloom blushed. Pinkie Pie came back in with a huge, pink milkshake, "I call this, Filli Vanilli!" "All for me?!" The flabbergasted earth pony shouted. "Mind if I have some?" An orange pegasus asked, "I'll get a new straw." "Ah thought you didn't like the, um, pink one." "I don't, my throat is just really dry, but I already finished my shake," Apple Bloom fantasized about something very disturbing, yet strangely arousing. "Ah, um, ah guess," Scootaloo raised an eyebrow at her. "Sure" Scootaloo didn't think anything of it, but Apple Bloom's face was redder than the Macintosh apples on the orchard. Pinkie Pie snuck in a quick picture of the nervous Apple Bloom and stuck it in a scrapbook. It was dusk and Scootaloo was walking Apple Bloom home. When they got there Apple Bloom opened up, "maybe you can stay the night here." "I would love to, but I gotta get home before my mom beats me harder than she already does." There was a long silence between them. "Alright," was all Apple Bloom could get out. "See ya some other time, and really, I hope you had a good birthday," Then she rode off. "It would be better if I could protect you from her," Apple Bloom whispered softly. Apple Bloom glumly trudged up the stairs and into bed early. If only I could protect you, were the words in her mind. When Scootaloo walked in through her front door, her mom's voice like nails on a chalk board was there to "greet" her, "where have you been, it's 6:00 PM?!" "It was my friend's birthday, so I hung out with her." "Without running this by me?!" "You don't even care about me!" "You just want me for child welfare!" Scootaloo galloped to her room in anger and slammed the door. "Screw you, whore," she spoke in a soft voice. There was a long moment of silence. "Scootaloo!!" Her mom yelled. Scootaloo walked in, "what the hell do you want?!" Her mother was enraged. EwChapter: Ew The very next morning, Apple Bloom got a letter from her adoring cousin, Babs Seed. The letter said to meet her at the train station for a surprise. A rather energetic Apple Bloom shouted, "Applejack! Ah'm headin' out! Her voice bounced around the house and back at her, but no response. "Hello?!" "Hmm." There was a note taped to the door, "Apple Bloom, we head out to make a delivery which will take the whole day, breakfast is in the cabinet, lunch and dinner are in the fridge. And please, try not to hurt yourself. Love, Applejack." Apple Bloom scoffed in that way that kids do when you treat them like a baby. Apple Bloom was in town when Sweetie Belle met her halfway to the train station, "Hi there Apple Bloom," her voice cracked. "Hey Squeaky Belle, how ya doin,'" Apple Bloom was slightly startled at her appearance. "Did my voice squeak again, wait, where you going?" "The train station, Babs is gonna be there." "Really?!" "Can I invite some friends to come meet her?" Before Apple Bloom could answer, her friend already dashed off. Apple Bloom just rolled her eyes and continued walking. Waiting at the train station, were the birthday party attendees. "How'd you get here so fast?" Apple Bloom was really confused. Scootaloo only answered, "Never mind that." "This is gonna be the first time we see her in so long, and Spike, Rumble, and Dinky get to meet her," Scootaloo had a black eye. "What happened to yur eye?" Scootaloo looked down at the ground with a totally different tone in her voice, "Nothing," even Apple Bloom knew she was lying about it, "Alright, just checkin'." A train arrived just on schedule, "The 10:00 AM train, Babs is on this train," Apple Bloom muttered. The train doors opened and a brownish orange filly with an apple seed for a cutie mark was the first one out of it. "Babs!" The CMC shouted with delight. Apple Bloom opened up with, "It's been a long time since we've seen each other, and you have your cutie mark." "Is that what you wanted to show me, is it?" Apple Bloom was clearly very excited. Babs finally responded, "Close ya eyes." "There's more?!" "Boy, I can't wait to see-" She felt an intrusion on her muzzle and in her mouth. She instinctively opened her eyes to see Babs Seed up in her face with lightly shut eyes. Apple Bloom's iris and pupils shrunk tremendously, and her face went from mellow yellow to flaming red. She glanced over at her friends whose jaws were dropped. Rumble whispered, "Aren't they cousins?" Scootaloo answered the question with a, "Yeah." Apple Bloom pushed Babs away, "Did I do something wrong?" "Uh, yeah, you just kissed yur cousin!" "I thought you would be into that so I thought-" "I would be into that?" "Babs, I love you, but not like this" "But I thought we could be closer than platonic, ya know." Apple Bloom turned and galloped away. "Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle started chasing after her. There was an awkward moment of silence when Dinky tried to lighten the mood, "Maybe you can kiss me that passionately?" Scootaloo rushed over to Apple Bloom's place to check on her. She quietly, like a chicken, crept into Apple Bloom's doorway to see a crying Apple Bloom and a comforting Sweetie Belle, "Let it out." "Everything will be okay." "Ah don't get it, why now?" "Why does it bother you so?" Sweetie Belle tried to sound as trusting as possible. "She looks kinda like Scootaloo, right?" "And ah know I didn't have a chance with Scootaloo, so ah developed a teensy crush on Babs," The teary filly felt weird saying all of this out loud, even to Sweetie Belle. "But the crush is gone?" Scootaloo said that a little louder than anticipated because her two friends' super sensitive hearing caught onto her prescence. A southern voice practically cried out in terror, "Scootaloo!" "What're you doin' here?!" Sweetie Belle got up and started stomping in her direction, "Yeah, what are you doing here," it was obvious Sweetie Belle wasn't asking. Scootaloo started to run, but Sweetie Belle grabbed her tail with magic. Scootaloo knew she was going to get it. Sweetie Belle closed the door to Apple Bloom's room and dragged Scootaloo outside. "Whatever you do, please make it quick!" "Why are you here?!" The pissed off marshmallow asked. "I came to cheer her up" "Why?!" "All you do is mess things up!" "Whenever you try to help, you mess up!" Scootaloo actually started to cry because that is the exact kind of thing her mother would say to her, "I..." she ran away from the farm. The wind in her face stung her fresh black eye, but she didn't care, she knew she wanted to be away from those who make her feel secure in the world. Scootaloo walked around Ponyville. She didn't do anything, she just took a long walk around. When she decided to go home, it was dark. Scootaloo arrived at her front door to find it was locked, so she tried other ground entrances, but they were locked too. She tried knocking, nothing. She tried again and yelled, "Okay mom, this isn't funny anymore!" Nothing. She started pounding on the door and shouted, "Mom open the freaking door!!" Still nothing. Scootaloo started crying and screamed, "MOM, OPEN THE DOOR, DAMMIT!!!" Silence in the house. Scootaloo didn't know what else to do but sob. Her best friends did not want her in their lives right now, Rumble lived in the skies, Twilight doesn't let anyone in the library at night, and she didn't know where Dinky lived. So she lay on her side and cried herself to sleep on the cold dirt at the front door. A cyan pegasus flew down and picked up the filly. She was shaking. The pegasus flew away, grasping her in a way that should keep her warm. Return of a HeroChapter: Return of a Hero Scootaloo awoke on an unfamiliar substance. "Where am I?" She discovered she was on a bed-shaped cloud. "How'd I get here? "Better yet, how am I up here?" Scootaloo was truly perplexed at her own whereabouts. The pegasus from last night trotted in, "Hey Scoots," a rather cracky voice was let out. Scootaloo paused at the familiar voice, she was half asleep and just found herself sleeping in the sky, of course she's gonna be confused. Her brain started functioning correctly again after a whole minute of silence, "Rainbow Dash!" "That's right, I thought you forgot about me." "Me?" "Forget about you?" "I expected it to be the other way around!" "Yeah, how so?" "You're a big shot, you finally made it with the Wonderbolts, ponies crowding you for an autograph saying they are your number one fan, stallions trying to-" "I'm going to stop you before you say that last part." "Are you hungry?" Scootaloo nodded her head violently, just noticing the breakfast tray in Rainbow's hoof. "Good, because I made you this," Rainbow Dash handed over the tray. On it was a steaming bowl of oatmeal, a glass of orange juice, and apple slices. Scootaloo sat there, admiring the food prepared on the tray, "You gonna sit there, or am I gonna have to spoon feed it to you?" Rainbow Dash smiled at the orange pegasus. "Can you?" Rainbow's smile went away and was replaced with a blank face, "Just once?" "I guess," it was a long time since they have even communicated, she wasn't going to refuse anything within Equestrian limits. Rainbow Dash went for the orange juice. "Actually, can you start with the oatmeal?" Scootaloo put on a weak smile. Dash rolled her eyes and picked up the spoon, scooping up oatmeal. "Say ah." "Aaaahmm," the spoon went in. Rainbow Dash tried to pull the spoon from her mouth, but Scootaloo was biting down on it, so she released the utensil. Scootaloo grabbed the spoon from her mouth and started chowing down on the oatmeal, "Didn't expect you to like it too much," Scootaloo stopped eating and looked up at her idol with apologetic eyes. It then hit her that Scootaloo was less fortunate than everypony else in Ponyville, "Sorry, keep eating." Scootaloo carried on with her violent eating. After Scootaloo devoured her oatmeal, chugged down her orange juice, and shoved the apple slices into her mouth all at once, she still wasn't full, but she was not about to clean out her savior's kitchen. Scootaloo went to Rainbow Dash and asked, "Can you take me home?" A perfectly still Rainbow Dash stood still. "I've been meaning to ask about that shine-" Scootaloo's voice turned cold, "Don't change the damn subject." Rainbow had a look of shock. "Don't you talk to me like that, I came back, I saved you!" "I didn't ask you to save me!" Scootaloo started to tear up, "I could have died that cold night, happy, knowing I wouldn't mess up another pony's life ever again!" Those last words threw Rainbow Dash out of their fight entirely. Scootaloo's sobs turned into crying, Rainbow's tone was dumbed down to almost a whisper, "Mess up another pony's life"what are you talking about?" "I might have destroyed Apple Bloom's self esteem." "You have to apologize to her." "I think it will take a little more than an apology," Dashie gave a questioning look, "a kiss." "Whoa whoa, hold on." "Did she say she likes you, or just a crush?" "The second one." "See." "It's probably gone by now, now how about we go visit her?" "Just to make sure." Scootaloo paused for a long time before deciding on what to do, "Okay," she said a little unsure of her answer, despite the amount of time it took to reach her decision. Applejack led Scootaloo up to Apple Bloom's room. Apple Bloom was sitting on her bed doing, well, doing nothing. Scootaloo tried to sneak in, but Apple Bloom still has her sensitive hearing, "Ah know yur there Applejack, just leave me alone." "AJ isn't here." "What are you doing here Scoots?" "I just wanted to talk." "What is there to talk about?" "You know exactly what I'm talking about," Scootaloo said that unkwowingly vicious. Apple Bloom's pupils shrunk in fear. "Sorry, I don't know what came over me there." An awkward silence ensued before Apple Bloom broke it, "Are we still friends?" "Of course we are, but I have to ask you something," Apple Bloom sat up and listened. "Do you still like me?" Apple Bloom started thinking of something to say, "No, ah don't have a crush on you." "But do you like me?" Apple Bloom sat there, she didn't make a single movement. Applejack called for Apple Bloom, "Looks like my sister needs me for something," She scuttled out the room and down the stairs. "That was weird," Scootaloo muttered while following aftter her. "She still has no cutie mark?" "Yeah, ah can show you right now." Apple Bloom walked in quickly, "Yes Applejack?" "No way!" She saw Apple Bloom's bare flank. "Apple Bloom, tell her about that one attempt you had at a cutie mark." Her face started to turn red because she knew exactly what AJ was talking about. So did Scootaloo, who was spying on them, "Rainbow Dash, can we go?" "I'm tired." "It's 2 o'clock and you're twelve" "I'm hungry!" "AJ can probably get you something." The exchange in dialogue started to frustrate her to the point where she said this next thing without thinking, "I want to see my coltfriend!" Everyone went silent. What the hell did I just say?! was all she thought about until Applejack spoke up, "Oh, young love is so adorable." "Apple Bloom had a crush on her cousin, Babs Seed." "Hey, ah I had nothing to do with this conversation!" Apple Bloom had a new shade of red on her face. "What's his name?" Applejack was a little more excited about this than Rainbow Dash. "His, his name?" "Yes!" "His name, you know that thing a pony is called for their entire life." "Yes!" "That!" "His name!" "His name is, um, his name, his name is-" "Well spit it out, don't be nervous, it's not like ah'm yur mother," she glanced at Rainbow Dash. "His name is, it's, Rumble!" Scootaloo started regretting ever meeting Rumble after having said that. Rainbow Dash snapped herself into reality, "Thunderlane's brother?" "Y-yeah." "Well better his kin than any other." Scootaloo was rather shocked at those words, she assumed Dash would go over and give him some of her mind. "We can go right now," Scootaloo nodded her head to that and turned over to Apple Bloom and winked. Applejack was leading them when Apple Bloom glomped Scootaloo to where they fell to the ground. Apple Bloom was on top of her and whispered, "Thank you." She responded, "You're welcome, Apple Bloom." "Now can you please get off of me, this feels weird." Apple Bloom took her time standing up and helped her up. "Well, see ya." They arrived at Rumble's front door, and rang the doorbell. "I'VE GOT IT, THUNDERLANE!!!" A colt screamed. "He sounds like he is fifteen." The door opened and Rumble was puzzled, "You're not Blossom Forth." "Come in, miss." Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash walked in, but Rumble pulled Scootaloo outside, "Not so rough!" "What are you doing here?" "Can't I just drop by and say hi to a friend?" "Not if you can't fly." "What is your real purpose?" She sighed, "Do you remember Apple Bloom?" He gave a nod, "Well I saved her from sharing something really embarrasing, but threw myself under the carriage and took you with me." Rumble gave a curious look, "I told Rainbow Dash we're dating." Rumble was shocked at hearing those words from her over anyone that could have said that, "You and me?" "You and me." He thought of something to say, and ended up doing so, "You're lucky I am a convincing actor." Scootaloo smirked, "Yeah, okay. The "couple" walked in and into the kitchen. "Well isn't she cute." "Wha?" "Thunderlane!" Rumble said that with no pride. Scootaloo blushed, "Uh, thanks?" Thunderlane picked up her questioning response, "Has nopony called you that before?" "That would be surprising." "Can I show Scootaloo around?" He gave the nod of approval. "But, before you do, I have to show you something." He motioned him to go upstairs and into his room. They went up and into his room. "What do you want to show me?" Thunderlane was digging around in his stuff. "She is pretty, a little too pretty to be sure." "Sure of what?" Thunderlane held out a square blue wrapper with a ring in the middle. "I want to make sure you're safe." Rumble realized the dirty things his older brother was getting at, "Okay, there are two things wrong with your thinking." "One, I'm twelve." "Why would I be doing that? "Can't be too sure of today's youth. "And two, it wouldn't fit anyway. "Actually, they make these in foal's size now." "Just take it." Rumble felt weird about it, but he took it. Rainbow Dash was talking to Scootaloo, "Ask when he is about to-" "Yep." "And make him pull out." "Why are you telling me this?" "Because I want you to be safe, even without protection." "We're both twelve, why would we do that?" "I'm aware of what foals do nowadays." Rumble and Thunderlane walked down the steps, "Sorry, I was just showing Rumble this cloud I came across during tornado drills." "What were you talking about?" Scootaloo abruptly took the spotlight, "I was telling her how she doesn't have a chance with Princess Twilight!" "Hey!!" Her voice cracked tremendously It was already dark out. "Well it's time for us to head out," Rainbow Dash started stretching. "It is too dark to fly, just stay here," Thunderlane offered, "You can have my bed, I'll take the couch." "Scootaloo can sleep with me." Rumble joined in. "I bet you'd want that," Thunderlane teased and burst out laughing. "Shut up, you knew what I meant!" Rainbow noticed Scootaloo was out of it, "Hey, you alright with this? "Because, we can take off if you want." "No, we can stay." Thunderlane went to the empty couch, Rainbow went to his room, and Rumble took Scootaloo to his room. Scootaloo was leading, she stopped right in the doorway and Rumble bumped into her, making him drop the wrapper bound beneath his wing right in front of her. Scootaloo looked at it in disgust. "Thunderlane gave it to me, I did not want to use it!" Scootaloo raised her eyebrow at him the way she did to Apple Bloom at Sugarcube Corner two days ago, "I didn't have any thoughts like that I swear!" "Dude, I believed you when you said you didn't want to use it." "Whatever, you probably want me anyway." "Pfft, you wish." They started laughing after their play fight. Rumble looked down at Scootaloo's cutie mark, "What does your cutie mark mean, a flaming scooter?" "And you're saying I want you, keep your eyes up." "Don't have a cu-" Scootaloo looked at his flank to see it was blank. The time she has spent with him and didn't realize he doesn't have a cutie mark. "Huh, I guess a cutie mark doesn't really define a pony." "Alright, I'll bite." "It represents how quick I am on my hooves and how gnarly I am on my custom scooter." "And I don't show anyone, but, I can dance. "Show me some moves!" Thirty minutes went by and Scootaloo was still showing off her wicked dance skills. She slipped on the wrapper and landed on top of Rumble. Laying face-to-face, Scootaloo kept a wit, "Slipped on your condom," it was no use because both of their faces were red. "You know what, I like you," Scootaloo let out "We are pretty good friends," Rumble knew precisely what she was talking about. "I would like us to be more than friends," she leaned in to kiss him, he didn't fight it, but didn't embrace it. Finally, there muzzles met, nothing really happened, just touched muzzles. Scootaloo got off of Rumble and helped him up. She walked over to the blue wrapper, picked it up, and gave it to him. He took it, looked carefully at it and up at her new marefriend. He went in for another kiss and shut his eyes tightly, Scootaloo froze and tensed up, but she closed her eyes and started bringing their tounges into it. Their kissing got more upbeat to where Rumble started to unwrap the condom. He shoved her away and pointed at his bed. Scootaloo nodded. The Day AfterChapter: The Day After Scootaloo woke up on the cloud bed, not confused, but happy. She looked over at Rumble, who she felt happy to be with. She scooted over to him, and gave him a nuzzle on the back of his neck. She got up from his bed and nearly slipped on a used condom. Scootaloo looked down at the worn out thing, "You're gross to think about, you nearly broke my neck, and got me into an embarrassing situation." "Yet, you found the only way to enchant my life." She stared at the thing for quite some time, smiling. She heard the colt yawn, "What'chu looking at?" He rolled over to the other side to see, "Oh, that." Rumble got up from the bed, took a pencil, picked up the thing, and tossed it out the window, "Shall we go downstairs, Scootaloo?" "Let's make out first." "Not like either of us actually know how to." "Exactly!" Sweetie Belle was sitting at the park. No one was around, just her. She sat and thought about everything that happened after Apple Bloom's birthday. "Hey Sweetie Belle," a rough voice was heard behind her. She turned very quickly to see Spike. "Oh, hey Spike." "What's wrong?" She turned away from him, "This is how I am every morning when my friends aren't around." "Something is on your mind, something you can't let go." "I said something to one of my friend's I would never say, ever. "What?" "All they do is mess things up," "and they don't because I do." "I made her cry, I'm just dumb," she started to cry. Spike didn't know what to do to stop her from crying, he has seen foals call her dumb when she wasn't with her friends. Spike, hesitantly hugged her from behind and whispered, "You're not dumb, you know how to you use your words, just apologize to her." He then walked away to do whatever he was doing. She just looked in his direction, like he saved her from falling out of that cloud right above her. An object was falling from the cloud and landed on Sweetie Belle's head, impaled by her horn. A strange, liquidy, sorta sticky substance leaked out of it. She grabbed it with one of her hooves because the object was too deep, so it cut her magic flow. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was a condom, and it was used, and she was holding it. "AHHH!!!" Sweetie threw it at the ground like it was gonna kill her. She looked up at the cloud and, because she is a walking dictionary, she shouted her fanciest swears at the cloud, but the cloud home opened up the same window and an orange filly peeked her head out. Sweetie Belle hid under the bench she was sitting on and looked up to see it was Scootaloo, Scootaloo threw the condom out the window? She saw Rumble peek his head out too. He looked around in confusion, when he gave up, he turned Scootaloo's face towards his and kissed her. Sweetie Belle continued watching, like a pervert, and noticed Scootaloo was actually embracing him, she started to mutter, "I don't believe this!" "Apple Bloom ached everywhere to have her, and now she's with that dumbass?" Scootaloo went downstairs alone. Rainbow Dash was waiting at the base of the stairs, she had a look on her face like an I told you so type of face, "What?" "I know what you did." "Wha... what do you mean?" "I heard you." "Sweet Celestia." "Screaming." "Screaming some pretty sexual things." "Thunderlane gave him something to prevent... and you gave me advice I needed for..." "For?" Scootaloo didn't like saying the girly thing that can happen to her, "Pregnancy, which is unlikely considering my age-" "You still did it at your age." "I don't feel comfortable talking about this." Rainbow just chuckled. Rumble came downstairs. "Good morning Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo was trying to get away from Dash, "Rumble, 'bout time you came." Rainbow Dash started to laugh at that last word. Rumble was totally confused, but Scootaloo knew exactly what she was laughing at, "Shut up!" Apple Bloom was strolling through Ponyville just 'cuz and saw Sweetie Belle mumbling to herself. "Hey Sweetie Belle!" "Oh!" "Hey Apple Bloom." "Quick question, what kind of pony are you into?" "Why?" "Ah don' know, bothered me seein' as ah've shared mah entire love life with you and you don' tell me anythin' about yours." "Well, for the longest time, I've always wanted to kiss Diamond Tiara." "Really?!" "But my thoughts have recently changed." "To who?" Apple Bloom saw Scootaloo flying down in Rumble's grasp. "You have got to be kiddin' me." Rumble lowered Scootaloo to the ground before stopping his own flight. They started to walk off to, a place, "Scootaloo!" She didn't hear so the filly tried to call her name again, but a muddy colored orange earth filly stepped in front of her. "'Scuse me, ah best be goin'." "Not until you hear my apology." "Look, ah don' got time-" "You don't got time for your cousin?" "Babs!" "Ah thought you already left." "Nah, I'm stayin' for the rest of our break." Apple Bloom noticed Scootaloo was getting farther away. "Okay, what is it Babs?" "I want to apologize for what I did at the train station." "It's just the way you wrote is first of really sloppy, and when I read it, I knew what you meant when you wrote those words and I thought-" "Babs ah gotta go." She ran off in Rumbaloo's direction. Apple Bloom found the two at the library. She heard a filly say, "Good, no one's here." "You ready?" She barged in to see to see Rumble and Scootaloo about to kiss. Scootaloo looked at her, "Crap Apple Bloom, you scare-" "Ah don' understand what yur doin' here other than to check out books, Twilight or Spike aren't even here." "With Rainbow Dash and his brother, we needed a little private time." "Yur seekin' private time with him?" "You met him a week ago and ah... ah've actually liked you for a long time." Scootaloo forgot about everything before last night, "Well-well you had your chance." Scootaloo started to sound like the rich duo. Apple Bloom started to get teary eyed, "Hey!!" A squaky voice was heard, "Leave her alone!" Sweetie Belle walked in. "Stop before you say something really stupid!" "The only stupid one here is you!" Sweetie Belle couldn't believe her ears, she sounded like the foals that would make fun of her for being a little different from them, "What's your problem Scootaloo?" "This isn't you!" "My problem is I'm here with a crybaby and a stuck up wimp!" Apple Bloom started to release the contained tears, but Sweetie only got angrier, "I came here to say sorry about what I said before." "But after hearing this, I don't think we should even be friends if your coltfriend is so much more important!" A fight was about to break out between the two, but the bystanding foals stopped them. "Ah wanna go," Apple Bloom said sniffling. "Hey, save that energy for me." Was what Rumble said. The two fillies left. Scootaloo stood there. After Scootaloo replayed the arguement in her head, she fell to the ground and started to cry, "What have I done?" Many hours went by, and Apple Bloom was crying in her room the entire time. Sweetie Belle was there too, trying to comfort her. She held Apple Bloom in one of her forelegs. Apple Bloom was laying on her side, hugging Sweetie Belle with a tight grip and cried into her side. "Ah can' believe she said all a' that." "I can't either." "Who needs her anyway?" "We've still got each other, plus Babs, Spike, and Dinky." "What's Dinky like?" "She is actually not a trusting filly, after her father left her at a young age and foals pick on her because her mother is Ditzy Doo-" "Ya mean Derpy Hooves?" "Yes, Derpy Hooves." "Anyway, after bonding with her, she's just like a little sister to me." Apple Bloom remembered she was younger than herself, "How old is she?" "Eight, but she is actually quite mature for her age, smart too." "That's why she's in our grade level instead of her's." "Does she have a new daddy?" "Yes, Time Turner, and before you correct me, Doctor Whooves." "She doesn't really talk about him though." "Well at least she has parents." There was an awkward moment of silence before Apple Bloom's face turned slightly red, Sweetie Belle took notice of it but didn't say anything. Apple Bloom spoke up, "Do you... do you like me?" "Of course Apple Bloom," her tone switched to a more soothing voice. "How much?" "Like we're best friends." "Would it be affected with a little kiss, just to see what it is like?" "But why me?" "I've only been kissed on the forehead." "Because ah trust you." Sweetie Belle thought about those words, but before she could respond, her muzzle was being interlocked with another. Instead of fighting Apple Bloom's embrace, she just closed her eyes and let it happen. Apple Bloom released her first kiss with the filly she trusts most. Sweetie Belle opened up, "Spike, it's Spike." "He's the one I was talking about." The earth filly paused, "So...' "I'm not homo or hetero." "So you did enjoy kissin' me, like how you would enjoy bein' with him?' "Yes." The two smiled. "Wanna go again?" Sweetie Belle giggled, "Sure." They started at it again, this time they hugged and felt their partner's body. Apple Bloom stopped again and whispered, "It's dark out, just stay here." Sweetie Belle gave a nod. Apple Bloom smiled, "Thank you." They started their kissing again. Deep DownChapter: Only One Sweetie Belle felt weird about making out with her best friend. Her partner, Apple Bloom did not care. Sweetie ceased kissing her, "This doesn't feel right Apple Bloom." "There's nothing wrong with you, but I want to be with Spike." Apple Bloom formed puppy dog eyes. "Stop, I taught you that." Apple Bloom looked down all glum, "Ah knew it was too good to be true." "Cut it out, I'm way too empathetic for you as it is." "But ah need your empathy, keeps me goin'." "Fine." Apple Bloom didn't hesitate to tackle and kiss her some more, Sweetie Belle just rolled her eyes. Apple Bloom noticed Sweetie had her legs spread around her body. She started to lower herself. "Apple Bloom what are you doing?!" "Ah'm sorry." "Look, we still have to get sleep." Before Apple Bloom had to time to say something back, Sweetie Belle was already circling herself in the middle of the rug and collapsed. "What're you doin'?" "Trying to sleep." "No you get the bed with me." Sweetie Belle got up and walked to the well made bed, which Apple Bloom was climbing into. Sweetie Belle climbed in on the other side and got under the covers immediately. Apple Blooms laid there and decided to ask a very weird question, "You ever touch yurself before?" The marshmallow filly thought about whether to answer honestly or not, "Have you?" "Yeah, you?" "Once, just to see what it was like." "What did you think about?" "Nothing, I got myself excited." "Do you ever imagine what it's like with another pony?" "I imagine what it's like with a colt and filly." Sweetie Belle smiled at Apple Bloom. She smiled back. Apple Bloom's smile faded, but she continued looking at her. Sweetie caught on, "Screw it." She positioned herself on top of Apple Bloom and started to put their curiousities to rest. Apple Bloom woke up to see Sweetie Belle wasn't in bed, she looked around to see if she was anywhere in the room, she wasn't. Apple Bloom decided to get up and go eat breakfast. When she walked into the kitchen, she noticed Sweetie Belle was sitting at the table. She wasn't eating but she did look nervous. She also noticed slightly infuriated older siblings at the other side of the table. "What's goin' on?" Applejack sounded cold, "You know exactly what's goin' on." Big Mac as usual in every situation said, "Eeyup." The filly looked at Sweetie Belle, "She just spent the night with me." Applejack did all the talking, "More like she spent the night doin' you!" Apple Bloom looked scared, so Big Mac started talking, "AJ, she doesn't respond to yelling too good." He looked over at Apple Bloom, "Aren't you a little young for that kinda thing?" He said this way more calmly than Applejack. She nodded. "You should be steering away from that until you're older." "Now school starts in a week, so don't show this type of behavior, understand?" Apple Bloom acknowledged her brother with the same likeness he was giving her, "Ah understand." "Good, now run along you two." The two fillies ran outside. "How do you communicate with her so easily Big Mac?" AJ asked. "You know she responds to aggressive behavior differently than other ponies her age." As they galloped to town, Apple Bloom's pace slowed down, "Sweetie Belle!" She slowed down too, "Are we marefriends now?" Sweetie Belle did not know how to respond to this, "Are we?" She was nervous about what her answer was going to be. "Well, ah hope so." That was the exact opposite of what she wanted to hear, "I gotta go shop for school supplies." "But didn't Rarity make sure you have yur supplies three months in advance?" "Yeah, but just to make sure I have everything." Sweetie Belle ran off towards Ponyville. Sweetie Belle walked into Rarity's boutique, Rarity trotted in, "Hello valued custo... SWEETIE BELLE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!!" "I need you to take me school supply shopping." "But everything is right here," she pulled out this huge cardboard box. "Are you sure?" "Yes, even this dress you're going to wear on the first day," it was a beautiful green dress with a pretty bow on the back. "No!" "Not like the play those years back!" Sweetie Belle started to trail off, Rarity spoke out, "Now, why are you really here?" She let out a sigh, "My love life." "Anything going on, you juggling anypony?" She said this jokingly. "Um, yes." "Not in the way you think though!" "Well who are you stuck between?" "Spike, you know him." "And my best friend Apple Bloom." Rarity was surprised, "I didn't realize you swing that way." She let out a chuckle. "Rarity, I'm being serious, I don't know what to do." She started to tear up. "Don't cry, just pick the one that matters to you more." "How do I know which one that is?" "The only one who truly matters to you on a certain level." "Now I have business to do." Sweetie Belle showed herself to the door. What does she mean? Sweetie Belle was walking to the library when a yellow flash popped right in front of her. "Hi Sweetie!" "Hi Apple Bloom, and don't call me that, it sounds weird." "But aren't ah supposed to give you a nickname?" "Apple Bloom, look, we're not together." "Not yet." "No." "I like this friends thing we have going already." "Where y'all goin'?" "I was heading to the-" "Can ah come with?" "Better if I go alone." "Nonsense Sweetie." Apple Bloom started to follow Sweetie Belle. Dammit Apple Bloom! They reached the library entrance. Sweetie Belle knocked on the door. A purple alicorn opened the door, "Good afternoon Princess Twilight," the fillies said boringly. "Good afternoon girls and I don't like being called a princess, just call me Twilight, okay?" The fillies nodded. Twilight let them in. Apple Bloom looked at some books, but the unicorn went to Twilight, "Is there anything I can help you with?" She asked pleasently." Sweetie Belle cut right to the point, "Are you bisexual Princess?" If Twilight were drinking a glass of water, she would have taken a huge spit take, "Where did you learn about that?!" "Ssh." "I just want to know." "Well, maybe, but" "Have you ever been stuck between ponies of a different gender?" "Not really." "They both do get me we... excited." "Okay, bye Princess, thanks for the help." She sighed. As she started to walk out, Twilight shouted, "Just Twilight!!" She arrived at the school. Many things can happen here: gossip, kissing, gossip about who kissed who, and here I am, about to be apart of that again. "Hey Sweetie Belle!" She looked back to see Apple Bloom. "Dammit all!" "What'chu doin'?" "Hey Apple Bloom." She growled. The confused earth filly was confused, "What's wrong Sweetie?" "Do you want to know?" "It's you!" Apple Bloom stepped back, "What ah do?" "Ever since the thing we did, you've been bugging me nonstop!" "Ah thought you did that outta love." "I did that out of lust." "Out of sheer curiosity!" "Yur yellin' at me." Sweetie Belle opened her mouth, but paused before she said anything, "You're right, I'm sorry." She went for a hug and got one. She was glad she could stop herself from lashing out at her best friend, unlike Scootaloo. "Look, I like you, but I don't think I want to be with you." "You don't think, so is it still possible you'll be with me?" "Yes, no, ugh, I will sleep on it." She put a hoof on Apple Bloom's shoulder and gave a weak smile. She nodded back. Sweetie Belle walked in through the front door of her home, not the boutique. "Why hello Sweetie Belle," She looked up to see a white stallion wearing a blue tropical shirt. "Hi Dad." "What's wrong kiddo?" "Filly problems." "Oh, I see." He walked into the kitchen to get a snack or a beer or something, "Weird filly problems." She walked upstairs and into her gloriously pink room. She looked at her alarm clock to see the time. 9:30 PM. Not her bedtime, but she said she was going to sleep on it and that's what she will do. Why Celestia?Something has gone wrong. Gloriously pink covers were thrown up off a peach colored bed. A white unicorn emerged from the bed. A high voice came out of the filly, "I feel terrible." She got up and walked out of her room to the bathroom. She looked into a mirror, "Sweetie, you look awful." Sweetie Belle started a shower and climbed in almost immediately. When she was done, she hovered a towel over to herself and dried off quickly. She threw the towel into a hamper and walked out the bathroom, steam followed after her. Sweetie walked downstairs and into her kitchen. A pink unicorn was standing at a stove, cooking. "Why good morning Sweetie Belle." She ignored her and took a seat at the the table. "Good morning sweetie." The filly continued to ignore her. "Answer your mother when she talks to you!" Sweetie Belle stared at her, "Good morning." Her mother walked over with a plate in hoof and set down the plate in front of Sweetie Belle, "Your father told me you have been having issues, filly issues." "Are you bleeding in that particular area?" Sweetie poked at her sophisticated food, "No Mom, it's something else." "You mean love?" "Because I can give you some tips about colts." "Inbetween two." She quickly covered her mouth. "Ooh, tell me about it." She was a little hesitant about it at first, but started explaining her situation, "So there are these two... um... two kids I like, and I truly can't pick who I want to be with." Her face started turning red as she told more about it. "And what are they like?" "Well one is sensitive, we would hang out with Scootaloo all the time, sh... he really cares about me and I don't want to break their heart." And the other one is... is, well he's like-" "How do you know you want to be with the second one if you don't know anything about him?" "Oh my gosh you're right!" "Thanks Mom!" She gave her mother a small kiss on the cheek and ran out the door. Sweetie Belle was running towards the library when she tripped over a tail. She landed on her chin. She got up to shout some fancy swears to see Spike was the one who tripped her. "Um, hi Spike." "Hey Sweetie Belle, what's up?" "What do you know about me?" He stared at her for the weird question, "Well I know you're Rarity's little sister." Great, of course that's how he knows me. "You're her cute little sister," he started to tickle her chin like nopony can do, ever. She pushed his hands away, "I want to get to know you." "Like what?" "Well to start, how old are you?" "I'm fifteen." It hit Sweetie that Spike was too old for her. He also appeared a little taller and had a deeper voice than she last remembered, but she was still persistent. Spike asked the same, "How old are you?" "Because you don't look old enough to be with me if that's what you're getting at." "I'm going to be thirteen in a few months." "Doesn't a filly go through an intense heat cycle when they turn thirteen?" "I don't know, Rarity told me a little about it, guess I'll find out eventually." Spike stared at her cutie mark, "Hmm." "Quarter note sharp." "I knew you were a good singer, but your special talent!" Sweetie started to blush, "Come on, I'm not that good." "You seem to know a bit about music." "Well I tried my hand at it, but I'm no good." "I can teach you to become a better singer if that's what you were talking about." "Pinkie told me you can play piano professionally, unlike me who can barely play." "So any quiet places?" "The library, Twilight's out." "Let's go!" They embarked on their fifteen-step journey to the library. Spike opened the door and let Sweetie Belle in first. Well, he's certainly a gentlecolt. Or gentle, I don't know. "Well what do you want to start with Spike?" "What do you want to start with, seeing as you're the expert." She started to blush, "Okay, I get it, I'm good, but I wouldn't say expert." "Anyway, how about a pitch test?" She looked around for an instrument to use but couldn't find even a bell. "Nothing to ring?" "Twilight thinks those are annoying." "Probably wouldn't think that if she herself would give fun a try." Spike mimiced glasses around his eyes with his claws and stuck his tounge out. Sweetie laughed and Spike, in return, laughed with her. Hours went by as they sang the day away. Spike tripped on his own tail and landed on top of Sweetie Belle, face-to-face with her. Sweetie was huffing and puffing due to the long hours of singing, "Didn't even need a warm-up." "You're really good." "Thanks, but you are way better." They stayed silent for a little bit, resting from the gone hours. Spike broke the silence, "Well I'm going to get u-" Sweetie Belle pulled him down for the long awaited kiss she has been wanting for days now. Her eyes were shut tightly. Spike ended their physical contact. Sweetie Belle looked at him, "I'm sorry. I had to ever since-" "If we want this to work, we can't do anything too serious, understand?" Sweetie Belle nodded both confused and happy. "Good." Spike helped her up, "So Sweetie Belle, any past relationships?" "One, sort of." "You know Apple Bloom?" "Barely." "Well we kissed once, twice." "So wait, you like fillies as much as you like colts?" "Well, yeah actually." "I wouldn't be too trusting of your friends then." "Oh stop." "You besmooched one of them too." "Shut up!" "And you liked it." "Well at least I liked a pony of my age group." "You had a crush on my sister!" "I was young, I didn't know any better." "That was two years ago, and you were still older than me." Spike's face started to get red. Sweetie Belle only smiled, "It's okay." "I'm kidding." He chuckled, "You've got your sister's sass, that's for sure." Sweetie's stomach roared for half a minute. Spike noticed, "Are you hungry?" He let out another chuckle. He walked up a sprawling set of stairs and motioned the really hungry filly upstairs. She went up the stairs. Spike was making two daisy sandwiches. Sweetie Belle walked over to one of the beautifully constructed sandwiches, "This looks palatable." He looked at her, "What?" She smirked and rolled her eyes, "Delicious." "Don't use those words, I'm not Twilight." Sweetie Belle ignored him, "I'm going to devour this sandwich." "Well that's very out of-" She started to violently consume the sandwich in front of her, "character." They spent the rest of their time cuddling at the stairs. They embraced each other with one another's warmth in silence. Sweetie started to nuzzle Spike's chest. He smiled at her. She decided to break the silence, "This may sound weird coming from a twelve year old to a fifteen year old." "But, I love you." She looked up at him with a soft smile. "I'm not sure how you feel right now, but I'm devoted to you." Those words hit his heart hard, in a good way. He regained his lost smile, "I love you too Sweetie Belle." She hugged him tighter. "Before I go, do you want a short kiss?" "Sure." Just as they were about to kiss, the front door opened. They froze in place, mouths about to lock together. A purple alicorn walked in with a yellow earth filly. The alicorn broke the short term silence, "Well I see the pedophile didn't waste any time while I was gone." "Twilight!" The teen dragon blurted out, "Why are you back so early?" "Why are you trying to sleep with a ten year old?!" "It's not like that!" "I would expect a boy your age to be touching himself!" "You know I wouldn't do anything like that." "I would rather you masterbaute than get a foal pregnant!" Sweetie Belle butt in, "Princess Twilight, he wasn't trying to do anything!" Twilight ignored her, "Spike, you can't do this." Sweetie Belle still tried to be heard, "But we love each other, isn't that what matters?" Twilight acknowledged the lovestruck unicorn, "Not if it's a child and a teenager." "Spike, upstairs!" Spike went upstairs and Twilight followed after. The yellow filly looked at Sweetie Belle, "Ah really thought we were meant to be together." "Instead, you choose the dragon who is too old for you." Before Sweetie could respond the filly ran away. "Apple Bloom, wait!" She let out a groan in frustration and chased after her. "Spike, she is too young for you." Twilight said calmer than before. "I know, really I do." "It's just she's the first pony to be able to look past the fact that I am a dragon and still want to be with me." "You wouldn't understand." Twilight looked at Spike and noticed he was on the brink of crying. She let out a sigh, "You won't do anything serious?" "Already swore on that." He wiped away any tears that escaped. "We'll have to check with Sweetie Belle's family too." "I know." "And if they say it's okay..." Spike looked at her, "Then I guess it's fine by me too." He smiled at her and she smiled back. Sweetie Belle was gasping for air. Apple Bloom can run really fast for extended periods of time. She ended up at the clubhouse. She heard crying through the door. Sweetie started to turn the doorknob with her magic.
IntroductionThe morning started off like that of any summer day for Apple Bloom.
Junior High School RomanceSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
I Know It's WrongChapter: Deep Down An alarm was going off and it was shut off with a green magic.
