Chapter: Only One

Sweetie Belle felt weird about making out with her best friend. Her partner, Apple Bloom did not care. Sweetie ceased kissing her, "This doesn't feel right Apple Bloom." "There's nothing wrong with you, but I want to be with Spike." Apple Bloom formed puppy dog eyes. "Stop, I taught you that."

Apple Bloom looked down all glum, "Ah knew it was too good to be true."

"Cut it out, I'm way too empathetic for you as it is."

"But ah need your empathy, keeps me goin'."

       "Fine."

Apple Bloom didn't hesitate to tackle and kiss her some more, Sweetie Belle just rolled her eyes. Apple Bloom noticed Sweetie had her legs spread around her body. She started to lower herself. "Apple Bloom what are you doing?!"

       "Ah'm sorry."

"Look, we still have to get sleep." Before Apple Bloom had to time to say something back, Sweetie Belle was already circling herself in the middle of the rug and collapsed.

       "What're you doin'?"

       "Trying to sleep."

"No you get the bed with me."

Sweetie Belle got up and walked to the well made bed, which Apple Bloom was climbing into. Sweetie Belle climbed in on the other side and got under the covers immediately. Apple Blooms laid there and decided to ask a very weird question, "You ever touch yurself before?"

The marshmallow filly thought about whether to answer honestly or not, "Have you?"

        "Yeah, you?"

"Once, just to see what it was like."

        "What did you think about?"

        "Nothing, I got myself excited."

"Do you ever imagine what it's like with another pony?"

"I imagine what it's like with a colt and filly." Sweetie Belle smiled at Apple Bloom. She smiled back. Apple Bloom's smile faded, but she continued looking at her. Sweetie caught on, "Screw it." She positioned herself on top of Apple Bloom and started to put their curiousities to rest.

Apple Bloom woke up to see Sweetie Belle wasn't in bed, she looked around to see if she was anywhere in the room, she wasn't. Apple Bloom decided to get up and go eat breakfast.

When she walked into the kitchen, she noticed Sweetie Belle was sitting at the table. She wasn't eating but she did look nervous. She also noticed slightly infuriated older siblings at the other side of the table. "What's goin' on?"

Applejack sounded cold, "You know exactly what's goin' on."

Big Mac as usual in every situation said, "Eeyup."

The filly looked at Sweetie Belle, "She just spent the night with me."

Applejack did all the talking, "More like she spent the night doin' you!"

Apple Bloom looked scared, so Big Mac started talking, "AJ, she doesn't respond to yelling too good." He looked over at Apple Bloom, "Aren't you a little young for that kinda thing?" He said this way more calmly than Applejack. She nodded. "You should be steering away from that until you're older." "Now school starts in a week, so don't show this type of behavior, understand?"

Apple Bloom acknowledged her brother with the same likeness he was giving her, "Ah understand."

"Good, now run along you two." The two fillies ran outside.

"How do you communicate with her so easily Big Mac?" AJ asked.

"You know she responds to aggressive behavior differently than other ponies her age."

As they galloped to town, Apple Bloom's pace slowed down, "Sweetie Belle!" She slowed down too, "Are we marefriends now?"

Sweetie Belle did not know how to respond to this, "Are we?" She was nervous about what her answer was going to be.

         "Well, ah hope so."

That was the exact opposite of what she wanted to hear, "I gotta go shop for school supplies."

"But didn't Rarity make sure you have yur supplies three months in advance?"

"Yeah, but just to make sure I have everything." Sweetie Belle ran off towards Ponyville.

Sweetie Belle walked into Rarity's boutique, Rarity trotted in, "Hello valued custo... SWEETIE BELLE WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!!"

"I need you to take me school supply shopping."

"But everything is right here," she pulled out this huge cardboard box.

         "Are you sure?"

"Yes, even this dress you're going to wear on the first day," it was a beautiful green dress with a pretty bow on the back.

"No!" "Not like the play those years back!"

Sweetie Belle started to trail off, Rarity spoke out, "Now, why are you really here?"

She let out a sigh, "My love life."

"Anything going on, you juggling anypony?" She said this jokingly.

"Um, yes." "Not in the way you think though!"

"Well who are you stuck between?"

"Spike, you know him." "And my best friend Apple Bloom."

Rarity was surprised, "I didn't realize you swing that way." She let out a chuckle.

"Rarity, I'm being serious, I don't know what to do." She started to tear up.

"Don't cry, just pick the one that matters to you more."

"How do I know which one that is?"

"The only one who truly matters to you on a certain level."  "Now I have business to do." Sweetie Belle showed herself to the door.  What does she mean?

Sweetie Belle was walking to the library when a yellow flash popped right in front of her. "Hi Sweetie!"

"Hi Apple Bloom, and don't call me that, it sounds weird."

"But aren't ah supposed to give you a nickname?"

"Apple Bloom, look, we're not together."

          "Not yet."

"No." "I like this friends thing we have going already."

          "Where y'all goin'?"

          "I was heading to the-"

          "Can ah come with?"

          "Better if I go alone."

          "Nonsense Sweetie."

Apple Bloom started to follow Sweetie Belle. Dammit Apple Bloom! They reached the library entrance. Sweetie Belle knocked on the door. A purple alicorn opened the door, "Good afternoon Princess Twilight," the fillies said boringly.

"Good afternoon girls and I don't like being called a princess, just call me Twilight, okay?" The fillies nodded.

Twilight let them in. Apple Bloom looked at some books, but the unicorn went to Twilight, "Is there anything I can help you with?" She asked pleasently."

Sweetie Belle cut right to the point, "Are you bisexual Princess?"

If Twilight were drinking a glass of water, she would have taken a huge spit take, "Where did you learn about that?!"

"Ssh." "I just want to know."

          "Well, maybe, but"

"Have you ever been stuck between ponies of a different gender?"

"Not really." "They both do get me we... excited."

"Okay, bye Princess, thanks for the help." She sighed.

As she started to walk out, Twilight shouted, "Just Twilight!!"

She arrived at the school. Many things can happen here: gossip, kissing, gossip about who kissed who, and here I am, about to be apart of that again. "Hey Sweetie Belle!" She looked back to see Apple Bloom. "Dammit all!" "What'chu doin'?"

          "Hey Apple Bloom." She growled.

The confused earth filly was confused, "What's wrong Sweetie?"

"Do you want to know?" "It's you!"

Apple Bloom stepped back, "What ah do?"

"Ever since the thing we did, you've been bugging me nonstop!"

"Ah thought you did that outta love."

"I did that out of lust." "Out of sheer curiosity!"

          "Yur yellin' at me."

Sweetie Belle opened her mouth, but paused before she said anything, "You're right, I'm sorry." She went for a hug and got one. She was glad she could stop herself from lashing out at her best friend, unlike Scootaloo. "Look, I like you, but I don't think I want to be with you."

"You don't think, so is it still possible you'll be with me?"

"Yes, no, ugh, I will sleep on it." She put a hoof on Apple Bloom's shoulder and gave a weak smile. She nodded back.

Sweetie Belle walked in through the front door of her home, not the boutique. "Why hello Sweetie Belle," She looked up to see a white stallion wearing a blue tropical shirt.

        "Hi Dad."

        "What's wrong kiddo?"

        "Filly problems."

        "Oh, I see."

He walked into the kitchen to get a snack or a beer or something, "Weird filly problems." She walked upstairs and into her gloriously pink room. She looked at her alarm clock to see the time. 9:30 PM. Not her bedtime, but she said she was going to sleep on it and that's what she will do.
