Prologue: The Accident
My senior science class and I were going on a field trip. Since we were it was the last day of highschool and we were all graduating, our teacher decided to take us on a trip to visit some astronomers. I really have no clue as to why she thought we'd like to go see some fully grown me in lab coats ,that probably have no girlfriends/husbands, stare into the sky through telescopes playing connects the dots with the stars. But honestly, I couldn't have really cared any less about it. I digress.
The bus ride there was pretty much uneventful, except for the occasional ball of paper to the back of the head. Typical highschooler chatter could be heard throughout the bus such as 'Katie has a nice rack!' and 'In your dreams, Shithead!' and a couple of other things that I don't want to mention.
I sighed as I thought to myself, My classmates are idiots.
Soon we pulled up in the parking lot to the building. We all got out and made our way to into the building and into the room full of scientists.
Amongst the chatter of young adults I could hear our teacher, Mrs. Ray, speaking up,"Okay now settle down," Everyone who was once talking, were now focused on our teacher. "Now class, you all know why we're here. These nice men are going to show you around and answer some questions you may have."
"When's lunch?" Some guy called out.
"Ha ha, very funny."
One of the scientists stepped up and spoke in a british accent,"Okay, we're going to split up into four groups. Group one will be going with Mark Pepper or Dr. Pepper as we like to call him." This got a chuckle out of a few people."Group two will go with Dr. Heughs." He said motioning to a slightly chubby man to his right."Group three will go with Dr. Robotnik over there." He pointed over at the man on the other side of the room. This man... How do I say this? This man was fat... His height evened him out somewhat, but he was still noticeably fat. I'd have to say two sixty? Two seventy maybe? Anyways, the scientist continued,"And group four will be going with me. I'll let you guys figure out the groups." He said.
One girl raised her hand and asked,"Why are you all call doctor if you study space and stuff?"
In response, the man said,"Look kid. I don't know. Probably some sort of conspiracy or something. Now go pick a group please."
I wasn't exactly sure which group to go with at first so I just stood there looking around. To my left I heard some guys talking. "Think we should go with whats-his-face leading group four? He seems cool enough."
"Eh, why not?" The guy then turned and walked over to Mr. British Man and asked,"So, what do we call you?"
"You can just call me Doctor." Doctor replied.
"Doctor who?"
"That's right!" He said with a chuckle. He then turned and to everyone else. "If you guys are ready, then we can get going. Group four, follow me." He said turning around and leaving the room.
I decided to go in the group 'The Doctor' was leading. He lead us into a room that was filled with a bunch of random junk. The junk ranged from papers to microscopes to basketballs to you name it. It made a dump look clean. I scoped out my surroundings since there wasn't really anything to do. It wasn't untill my eyes landed on one thing. Of all the things, there was a giant, blue, phonebooth.
I'm assuming Doctor saw me staring at it because he came up to me and said,"I know it's weird seeing something like this in here, but it helps me with my work. You can go over and open her up, but do not and I mean DO NOT touch anything."I nodded and trudge on over to the... Thing... and looked at it. After looking at it for a few seconds, I reached for the handle and pulled it open to take a look inside. The inside was amazing. It was most definitely bigger on the inside than on the outside.
I stood there looking in for a moment longer before a pair of hands pushed me in, causing me to stumble and fall into a giant keyboard like thing, (Sorry, I forgot what it is called), resulting in me mashing a bunch of the keys. I looked back to see one of the bullies from my class just before he shut the door. I rushed over to the door and beat on it a few times before turning back around and looking at the monitor.
There were a few seconds of nothing before the machine, along with me in it, vanished. I was heading through some sort of swirly tunnel at high speeds. Little window like things lined the walls of the tunnels. In them I could see historic events in the past, I could see futuristing looking buildings and vehicles. I could see creatures I'd never seen before in my life. I was amazed, yet extremely terrified. I had no clue what was going on. But, just as fast as it had started, it stopped. There was nothing.
Seeing all of the swirly tunnels and spinning in whatever that was didn't come without an after shock. I was suddenly n took the handle of the door, pushed it open, stumbled out, and vomited. Next thing I knew, I was falling. The machine had somehow appeared in the sky. I had to be at least a couple hundred feet in the air. It was me versus my number one fear... Heights.
I knew that there was no way to escape my inevitable fate, but I still tired my hardest to slow myself down. I went from flapping my arms in an attempt to fly to spinning uncontrollably.
The ground closed in on me rapidly. It was only a matter of seconds before impact. I closed my eyes and took my last breath.
Splat.

I'm not sure how long it had been since the accident I had occurred, but I soon woke up. I opened one eye, and then the other. From what I could tell. I was obviously not outside any more . The room was all white room. I was also lying in a semi-comfortable bed with a cover on up to my neck. I could also smell cake for some strange reason.
I raised up, stretching, and turned my body to get off of the bed. When I turned, I laid my eyes on a bubblegum colored girl, who had been staring at me the entire time. She had magenta colored hair which was all poofy. Her huge eyes were also a beautiful cyan. The only odd thing I noticed was that her ears were the same as those on a horsel All in all... I thought that she was cute.
She quickly hopped up, ran over to me, and tackled me onto the bed in what seem like a death hug.
"Haikensoi! Bonstip ouh whe men pnoi!" She said.
I sat there struggling for air. I was also very confused. I had no clue where I was, who this girl was, or what she was saying. By the sounds of it, it wasn't any language that I had heard of.
After a while of me not saying anything she got up and asked,"Donsng fu vop?" I continued to look at her with a confused look plastered all over my face. She then asked,"Spantong?"
"I have no clue what you're saying." I told the girl. I guess the realization that we didn't speak the same language had finally hit her because she then jumped high into the air while letting out a long gasp. She then grabbed my arm, and next thing I knew, we were right outside of a huge tree with a door and windows carved out of it with me sitting there on my butt. It wasn't until then when I noticed that she had a long, pink tail that was about the same color as her hair.
The girl gave the door three good knocks before shouting,"Twilight!"
I was puzzled. I couldn't understand a word she was saying, yet I could understand the word 'Twilight'.
As I sat there pondering that, I heard a female voice call out,"Nes tied."
Pinkie, the name I'll be calling the pink girl until I learn her name, turned around and motioned for me to follow as she opened the door. I stood up and followed her in. On the other side of the room stood a purple girl. She had... a... horn... And wings. She also had a long tail too.
She turned around, looked at me, and said,"Ned heir mep neh?"
Pinkie then said,"Ded sney men no." She then turned and looked at my chest, then looked up at my face and said,"Oooo, heeb nir wey!"
She then put her hand up to my forehead, then waved in over her own head. I guess she was surprised at how tall I was considering that I stood a good foot taller than her.
The other then walked up and said,"Snid iop hed."
The horn on top her head then started to glow. After a few seconds there was a flash followed by my ears ringing loudly.
When my ears finally stopped ringing, the purple girl asked,"Can you understand me?" In response, I nodded my head."Great! Are you okay? My friend Pinkie Pie," she said, pointing behind me to the pink girl standing beside me,"told me about you falling out of the sky and landing in the cake she was delivering."
Cake? I landed in a cake? How could a cake break my fall? "Cake?" Was all I could ask.
She nodded her head and replied,"Mmmhmm. If it weren't for the cake, you wouldn't be here right now." That certainly was something to take in. If Pinkie Pie hadn't had been delivering when she was, I'd be a broke, bloodied corpse out in the middle of somewhere."Also, what happened to all of your fur? Why is there just a little on the top of your head?"
"What do you mean?" I started,"I've never had fur before."
"What?! All ponies should've had fur at one point or another in their life!"
"Pony? I'm not a pony."
"Then what are you."
"I'm a human."
"A human?! I've read about humans before, but I didn't know that they were REAL. I've got to send a letter to Princess Celestial! Then after that, I've got sooo many questions to ask. You've just got-" Was all she could get out before she suddenly slumped to the floor unconscious. Standing over the body was a large purple and green reptile. What I assume were spines at the tops of his head, were up in a Mohawk. In his hand/claw was some sort of syringe.
He look over at us and said,"Sorry about Twilight. She does this a lot. If I don't give her this, there's no telling what would happen." He then lifted her up off of the ground and carried her upstairs.
I looked over at Pinkie for an explanation, but all she did was shrug. That huge grin never left her face. I look back at the stairs in which the boy carried 'Twilight' up. One thought crossed my mind.
I've seen worse.
