In the magical Land of equestria amongst the many tails there is one that lays long forgotten. The Guardians, though not much is known about there origin, what we do know is only legend. It is said that they guard five powerful stones, said to be more powerful than the elements of harmony. Known only as the Brother Stones due to there close resemblance to the elements of harmony. The Guardians protect them with there life, but that is said to be only legend.
As Shado sits there watching as his brother K'phill listens to his grandpa tell him all the same legends and story's he told him when he was little. Shado can't help but think back to those old days where is was safe to walk down an ally any time. For the world became a scary place, it's become dark like all the light has been sucked out of the world. But against every nerve in his body he decides to go for a walk.
He's been trotting for a good half hour and its getting dark out. So he decides now would be a good time to head back when he notices something green in the distance. Then he notices that its coming straight at him. Shado decides that he should run because its coming fast and he doesn't want to find out what it is. So he start running as fast as his four legs will carry him but it isn't enough. It tackles him to the ground and has him pined on his back, that's when he notices that is just a pony like him. But something is different, It has no mouth or nose, just solid yellow eyes and its fur is glowing green.
The pony like creature suddenly places one of its hooves on his chest for an instance and seems to be suprized at something. It then jumps off him with out warning, and grabs him by the waist and flies away with Shado. As they are flying Shado notices that it is looking at him like he's the strange creature. And with out a mouth, some how talks to him.
"Don't worry i wont hurt you, i just want to show you something" It says. Shado becomes more comfortable as they fly closer to a giant floating island that somehow no one, to his knowledge, has seen before. He notices a bright light coming from the top of one of the tall pine trees as they land, But before he can react, little creatures come out from hiding. They stand about 6 to 7 inches tall and have the same color of coat as the faceless pony who brought him here, only they walk on two legs and remind Shado of monkeys somehow. They start to fly around him really fast. That's when he noticed that they've been playing music this hole time and its a very nice Techno and Violin song. The one with the violin catches his eye, the cutest one with its hair pointing in every direction all at once, so he sits down and starts to take a closer look.
It speaks to him again "Hi, my name is Colin. I'm the guardian of one of five Brother Stones." Shado nods as he knows a little of what the Guardian is talking about. "I'm sorry for earlier, its just someone has been nosing around this area, and once i noticed that you were just an ordinary pony, i knew it wasn't you" Shado felt offended by the fact that he was mistaken for a robber. "Maybe you have seen it, it walks on two legs and holds a very large stick." Shado shrugs and decides to introduce himself
"No I haven't seen him, By the way, my name is Shado" he rubs his side, the spot where the Guardian had grabbed him by. The Guardian scratches his head and laughs
"sorry, did i hurt you when i grabbed a hold of you?"
Shado then nods "yes but, how exactly are you talking to me?" The Guardian chuckles
"Oh, I'm not talking, I'm speaking into your mind" the Guardian taps his hoof against his head.
Shado looks surprised "Really? Thats awesome! But..." He looks at the Guardian in confusion "what are you?" The Guardian looks down at the ground, then looks back at Shado
"I was once a pony like you before the last guardian met me," the Guardian paused "He told me that i was the next in line to become a guardian, so he trained me for a while and when i became strong enough to be a gaurdian he was sucked in side the stone." He paused again, looking at the stone. "So now i stand guard of it until the next guardian comes."
There was a long pause, so Shado decided to speak "so why did you bring me here?"
"Because... What was that?!" The Guardian jumped as a sound came from a nearby tree,
"I think it was the wind." Shado replied confidently, yet he was not sure if it was the wind or not.
"I hope so," the Guardian paused. "i thnk its safe, I assume you're hungry?"
Shado replied quickly, "Yeah, starving! What do you have for food?"
As he ate he continued with some small talk but nothing notable. Colin then begins to speak, "ill be right back, i need to go get something." After a few moments the only source of light was the stone, which disappeared leaving Shado in impenetrable darkness. So he started to trot around, then he notices that even the little monkey creatures were gone to. Then out of no where a... Hand? Touches his shoulder. Shado gets a felt like he should run but for some reason he doesn't. In fact he couldn't move, as if he were paralysed. Then the thing with the hand steps in front of him. Out from under its jacket it pulls out the stone and gives it to Shado. Some of the light returned and allowed him to see it or... Him?. The creature that was handing him the stone was a human, which is rarely seen in Equestria. The human spoke to Shado.
"Take it for yourself." He handed Shado the glowing stone. "With it you can have Ultimate power, all at your control. do it now!"
A desperate "NO!" is all he heard before it is knocked out of his hooves. Colin went flying past and took the stone with him, then his front hooves turned in to two swords and was swinging madly at the human. As Shado watched, the humans staff turned into a spear.
They started attacking each other, sparks flying everywhere and the sound of blades colliding. As Shado watched, he thought of the fight as if it were a movie just this is real. But he could tell by Colin's position that he was getting tired and that he had taken a lot of damage. Then the worst happened, Colin got knocked down, and the attackers spear impaled him directly through the chest. Before Colin died he managed to tell Shado to run. And Shado did just that, he ran as fast as his his four hooves would carry him. He was coming up on a clearing, only it wasn't a clearing, it was a cliff going straight down. Shado just barely stopped in time to prevent himself from falling. The human managed to sneak up behind Shado. It pointed its spear at Shado's heart.
"Give me the stone, and i may let you live" Shado shakes his head. He takes a quick step back and falls of the cliff. As he fell he heard a disembodied voice say...
Do not be afraid...
Your heart is strong...
That's why i chose you...

You are strong...
You are...
A GUARDIAN!!!!
As he flew back up back up feeling this new power flowing threw his veins. He was ready, he was ready to win!
