A Rose in Bloom

The two ponies hurried across the forest floor toward the blue box.

"Just a little further...." The stallion said, worry evident in his voice! He helped the heavily pregnant mare towards the blue box, His light brown fur soaked. The grey pegasus held her composure, even through the pain as she held onto the stallion 'How much farther can she go?....' He wondered to himself. They finally reached the blue box. The Doctor fumbled around with the key trying to get it into the lock before turning it and pushing the door open.

"Don't worry Ditzy...I'll get us somewhere safe...." He dashed over to the controls, having to actually try to concentrate through the miasma of worry that battered against his mind.

He sighed, fiddling with a knob on the control panel. He smirked as the low droning of the machinery became louder, several lights blinking. Anypony standing outside would've noted a loud mechanic whailing as the blue box began to phase out of existance, appearing in Ponyville as  near to the hospital as they could safely get without arousing suspicion. He helped the mare groaning mare up. She stood, albeit shakily as she tried to fight through the pain of labour! She leant against him as they slowly moved towards the hospital. Oddly, the undertone of joy brought about by giving birth was missing, the parents actually seemed... Rather distraught. Due to the nature of time travel related incidents it was plain to see that they would not be able to raise a foal, after all, Evil aliens in tins with plunger guns do NOT make for good teething toys.

The doctor looked back at the hospital one more time before turning around, with a heavy heart and closing the door of his TARDIS. Moments later, a nurse watched in awe as the blue box dissapeared!
