Subtle Trott
Preface
Stripe trotted through the crowd of bar pony's. He looked around, as if looking for some-pony in particular. Moving around a bar stool Stripe saw the pony he was looking for. His dad.
Stripes dad was siting at a table, holding a beer in his magic. His eyes where not drawn to Stripe, but to the huge flat-screen TV above the counter. The Hoof-ball Superbowl was on, and the game was just getting good. Picking up his pace Stripe made his way to his father, and he called to him.
“Hay dad!” Stripe called through the bar noise. No reply. Probably thanks to the large crowed of stallions also watching the Hoof-ball game, yelling and cheering for there teams. Stripes father took sip from his beer. He didn't even look in his sons direction. Shaking his head Stripe gave it another go. “Dad!” He yelled a bit louder.
This time his father jumped a little, and put down his beer. Looking to his left he saw his first born son, Stripe Storm. Waving his hoof Mr. Storm called over his son. “There you are my boy!” He patted a spot in front of him. “Get your flank over hear, and talk to your father”. He smiled.
Stripe smiled, and did just that.
Before taking his seat at the table, Mr. Storm got up and gave his son a short hug. Then the two stallions took there seats. Mr. Storm whistled a bar mare over with his right hoof. A very beautiful mare with a light pink mane and white fur trotted over. She smiled, and puled out her notepad and pin with her magic. “What can I get you boys” She asked, chewing her gum.
“I'll get another beer, and some of that hot flank!” Mr. Storm slapped her plot with a hoof. The mare jumped from the shock. But her shock quickly turned to anger.
“Sir! This is your last warning- Apparently dad has done this more than once tonight- If you keep harassing me I will get the bouncers to throw you ass out!” She threatened.
Mr. Storm just laughed and nodded, making Stripe sigh with embarrassment.
'Why, dose dad have to treat mares like that every time we get together? Its really rude, and very sexiest. All most makes me sick. But I just have to live through it for tonight. Just long enough to confess' Thought Stripe.
She then huffed and tossed her mane. Transferring her gaze to Stripe she smiled. “Now, what can I get you cutey?”.
Stripe returned the smile. “Just one Pina Colada please. And I apologizes for my fathers actions” He tilted his head towards his dad. Mr. Storm was not paying any attention, for his gaze was back to the game.
The mare wrote down the order, and looked back up to Stripes eyes. “One Pina Colada coming up! And thank you. Its hard to find kind and mature stallions in this place” She winked and trotted away.
Stripe gulped and transferred his gaze to Mr. Storm. The game had just went to commercial, so Mr. Storms attention was now completely on his son. Smiling Mr. Storm spoke. "Its about time you got hear. I've been siting in this damn chair for over an hour" He took a gulp of his beer. "Now! what is it you called me hear for. Not that you need an excuses to see your old man once and awhile" Mr. Storm sat down his beer.
Stripe was now sweating profusely. Looking every where but his dads eyes, Stripe responded. "Well dad, the reason I asked you hear tonight was to...." Stripe lost his confidence. He shrunk down in his seat, trying to disappear.
"To what?" Mr. Storm raised an eyebrow.
"To... um...tell you that.. I.. am..."
"I am, what?"
'By the name of Celestia why is it so hard to tell him! He's your dad, you've known him your entire life. He will love me know mater what... Right?'
Mr. Storm taped his hoof on the table. He was quickly becoming impatient. 'What dose he want to tell me. Gods, I swear that boy gets his low confidence from his mother' Thought Mr. Stripe picking up his beer.
Well he was hear, and so was his dad. It was now or never. Besides he would understand... hopefully.
"Well dad there is something that I have been meaning to tell you for a long time-"
"-And that is?-" His dad interrupted.
"I'm.... gay".
"What?, I didn't catch that".
"I'm gay".
"Dammit boy! Just say it!".
"I'm Gay!" Stripe yelled at the top of his lungs. So loud that some of the nearby pony's even heard.
"..."
"Um.. dad".
"..."
No response. Mr. Storms face was completely void of any emotion. Stripe was scared to death . His father only got this quiet when he was thanking weather to kill you, our kick you ass badly enough to send a pony to the hospital. Stripe was just about to get the hell out of his seat and get the buck out of town.... But his father spoke first.
"Get.the.hell.out.of.my.site" He spoke comely through gritted teeth.
"Dad I.." *Smack!*
Stripe was flung out of his seat, taking the chair with him. Some mare who witnessed this screamed, but Stripe barely heard her. His right cheek was on fire, and he was very dizzy. Touching his hoof to the burning spot he brought the hoof to his eyes. It was covered in blood.... Stripe was speechless. The one pony who he thought would never hurt him... did.
Flipping on his side Stripe saw his father standing over him. Mr. Storms face was full of anger. It was probably taking everything inside himself to not hit his son again.
"Don't you ever call me that again you bucking fag!" said Mr. Storm.
Stripe was on the verge of tears. He tried to speak, but couldn't. His dad spoke for him.
"I don't know where I went wrong with you. But.." Mr. Storm took a breath. "I want you to go home, get you shit, and get out".
Stripe gulped. "Out?".
"Yes! get out of my bar, my home, and out of my life! You fag!" Exclaimed Mr. Storm drawing back his hoof again for another punch. But some random bystander grabbed it with his magic. Dad turned around and started yelling at said pony. But Stripe wasn't paying any attention. He was now openly crying. Without another word Stripe ran out of the bar. He didn't know where he would go, but he couldn't stay hear, his dad made that quite clear on the side of his face...
...But where would he go....
