Twilight grew nervous as she walked down the corridors of Canterlot Castle. Though the lavender mare had been to see them before, she still wasn't used to having to be called up to see the Princesses. She thought of all the things the princess might want her to do. Would she have to pass another test? Learn a new lesson in friendship? Save another empire that only a few ponies knew anything about? By the time she got to the lavishly decorated open doors of the throne room, she felt as if she was about to scream, but she willed herself to calm down as she walked down to the two alicorns at the other end of the room.

"Hello, Twilight Sparkle," Celestia greeted. "We have been waiting for you."

She stoop up from her throne and walked to one of the many stain glass windows in the room.

Twilight, do you know how big Equestria is?"

"Equestria is a little over 3,700 miles from coast to coast," Twilight beamed.

"Yes, and as you know, there are many ponies in this vast land that need help, and there is also crime that needs to be stopped, and you can't be there to help all of them."

"Sorry, Princess, but we can't help everypony."

"No, you can't, which is why I have chosen four special ponies to meet at your house. These ponies will fight the crimes in other places while you and your friends do your jobs in Ponyville. When you get home they will be waiting for you, along with their first assignment and the supplies they will need."

"Yes ma'am, but who will these 'special ponies' be?"

"You will find all your answers when you get home, but for now, this meeting is over."
