The Guard and a Cookie Jar.
There he was, Video Speaker, the princess's loyal guard. As he passed some of the maids they eyed him with respect, admiration, and a look that was unfamiliar to the stallion. He turned the corner only to be stopped by a faint aroma. Not just any aroma, the aroma of the princess's royal chef's famous chocolate-chip cookie clicker surprises. Whatever that meant. He didn't care, all he knew was that they we're heaven in a cookie. The guard had meant to go to the medical section of the castle, where Luna was at. Looks like he'll have to make a detour.
Now, Video Speaker saw himself a reasonable stallion. Surely with all the other duties of his he deserved at least one snack? Maybe two. As he walked down the new corridor, he pasted the study. He poked his head in out of curiosity. When he looked in, he saw a familiar grey stallion. This stallion had a mane and tail as black as night and two bright red eyes. The stallion welcomed him.
" Why if it isn't Video Speaker!"
"Sombra! How goes the studying?"
The grey stallion rolled his eyes. For he knew this guard never cared for spells or enchantments. But he decided to go along with his antics.
"Not well since I can't seem to find a spell to help heal Luna! I want her back, I NEED her here."
"Whoa, Sombra! You know the nurse said all she needed was some rest."
"Yes, but they say that about patients who die soon after don't you?"
"Yes, but, I believe you're thinking way to much about this. I think this is more than about your studies."
"Well, yes! A princess of Everfree might die!"
"You know what I mean."
The apprentice's face grew deep red. He had a look a of anger, confusion, and embarrassment. He turned away from the guard.
" I don't know what your talking about!" Sombra huffed.
"Face it, everypony knows you like her!"
"She is my mentor! We only have a professional relationship."
"Oh well. I'm going to the kitchen."
" I'd think twice about that." Sombra replied. "Chips Delight has hidden those things in the most remote part of her kitchen. Not to mention if she caught you!"
" I'm sure I can dodge her!"
As he left the study he heard an all too familiar laugh. The next then he knew, two maids came screaming. They were merged with each other by their horns. The two unicorns fought on which way to go. The stallion was furious! He hated when ponies disrespected the maids like that. But who could stop this creature.
"DISCORD!" Video Speaker yelled.
"Yes my little soldier?" the draconaquis said as he appeared out of the air. The monster had taken to calling him that ever since he was made Luna's personal guard.
"One, you need to make sure you apologize to those maids. Two, I have a job you'll enjoy." Video Speaker said with a sly grin.
The draconaquis, noticing this, matched the expression.
"You've captured my attention."
" Ok here's what you need to do-"
Near the kitchen, Discord and Video Speaker were ready for their plans. The draconaquis entered the kitchen. The next few minutes were a blur. With a snap of Discord's talons, the chef lost her unicorn horn. Causing her to drop the dish she was carrying. The next thing he knew she was running past him, no horn on her grey body. Her pink mane and tail flying behind her. Next, it was go time. He ran into the kitchen, scavenging through the cabinets. Going through every storage place there was. Until he saw a new door. He drew lclose to it. It was locked. He stomped his fore hooves on the floor.
Then, Discord reappeared. He saw how angry the Pegasus guard was and laughed.
"Having trouble?" He asked.
"What do you think?!" The guard snapped back.
The dragconaquis laughed louder.
"OK,OK sheesh! Here, for the entertainment."
"Wait, what are yo-" he was cut off by an explosion of doves.
When they cleared out, The dragconaquis disappeared from view. But with a last snap, a letter fell to the floor.Video Speaker rolled his green eyes. Who knows what he would do next. Probably mess with philomena, Celestia's phoenix. When he opened the card, it revealed a badly drawn key. Much like a foal's first drawing. His eyes furrowed, how would this help?! It not like he could just take the key out of the picture-
Clang!
Oh. I guess the laws of the universe didn't apply for the lord of chaos. Discord gave himself that nickname. It fits for him, the one who caused much entropy.
Anyways, he took the rusty key. He put it in the lock, making a loud click. When he opened the door, there were five boxes of the presious cookies! Surely Chips Delight wouldn't mind if he took a few from a box. He took one of the biggest cookies out of the decorated boxes. He almost took a bite when a Grey unicorn with a pink mane, accompanied by a certain phoenix.
"Video Speaker!!!"
Out of panic, the guard extended his wings. He began to flap his wings , as well as trying to run out the door. He was halfway down the hallway when he heard a high pitched cry. He looked back to see that Philomena was following him. He didn't want to know what would happen if he was caught.
He ran faster and faster, not caring where he went. Anywhere away from that bird! He ran past many nurses and doctors. Making his way around the place like he'd been in there since he was born.
He found his chance when he took a sudden turn into a highly guarded patient room. He slammed the door right before she could get in, causing Philomena to crash into the door. He sighed with relief.
"Tia? Illusion Flight? Where am I? What happened?"
When he heard Luna's voice he turn instinctively. It was Celestia, though, who broke the silence.
"Luna I was so worried -"
