There is an empire, a vast, glorious empire, a lost and forgotten empire. This empire was lost before the rule of the princesses , this empire was the empire of the Sea Ponies.
Thousand's of years ago the Sea Ponies, a strong, smart and highly advanced race of ponies, were plunged into civil war. The Sea Ponies had little to no contact with the rest of the world, so nopony knew what happened and why the war started.The Sea Pony Empire was torn apart, and its inhabitants scattered. The Sea ponies fell into myths and legends and were soon forgotten completly.
Until one day........
"Ugh, why are mountain's so tall." Magnifier complained. "It would be so much easier if I had wings."
Magnifier - a smart, light brown earth pony mare, with a slightly curly dark brown mane - slowly climbed her way up another mountain. She was taking the scenic route to the Neighagra Fall's.
"Finally! This is by far the biggest mountain I have ever climbed." Magnifier praised herself. " Wow, that view is amazing! Too bad Cinnamon isn't here. Ah... Well I better set up camp."
The sun was starting to set as Magnifier finished setting up camp.
"Well that should do." Magnifier said as she pegged the last corner of her tent down. "By Celestia's mane, I'm starving, it's a good thing Cinnamon packed me so much......." (She opened her food pouch) "......Bread. Why does this keep shocking me. I've only been out here for a couple weeks." She said to nopony. "Well bread is better than starvation.
And so Magnifier ate her bread and went to sleep. It had been another long and tiring day, and she had a long journey ahead of her. She just didn't know the full extent of it.
Magnifier woke up feeling as sore as ever, she most have slept on a rock or something. However She would have to ignore her back pain as she still had a long way to go. And so she continued onwards.
"Oooo, a cave!" Magnifier exclaimed. "Haven't seen too many of those on this trip, I'm going to check it out." And so she did.
Magnifier went deeper and deeper into the cave, there were ancient writings on the wall's, something's she could read but it puzzled her because what she could read was jumbled together with what she couldn't read. And everywhere she went there was a symbol of a massive wave.
She had been in there for what must have been two hour's, when she came to a big door. It was beautifully made, it looked like stone but it didn't feel like stone, in fact it felt like metal, and it was warm. Carving's that looked like vine's shot out of the corners and covered the door, slowly making there way to the center, were there was another symbol of the big wave.
Another aspect of the door was that it didn't have any sort of door nob, where a door nob would normally be there was a hoof-sized hole. So out of curiosity and pure instinct, Magnifier stuck her hoof into the potentially dangerous hole. The hole could have been an obvious trap, but Magnifier trusted her instinct's, and they told her it was safe.
And it was, when she removed her hoof the door slowly pushed it's self open. Magnifier was fascinated to say the least, all the work and care put into that one single door made her shiver with excitement. But when the door was finally open and she could see what it was hiding, she froze in awe.
