Lunar Diary
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterChapter 2
Luna entered the dream scape. She looked around and saw the normal blueish landscape. She walked in a straight line concentrating on her sister. Up ahead she saw a single doorway. It was a metal door encrusted with jewels or reds and oranges. Luna opened the door and hesitated. Maybe she should just watch and not interfere. Her sister may just get upset by her presence.Luna decided that was what she would do. She entered the door and melted into the dream.
Luna saw Celestia flying through the sky. Tears streaked her face and she looked troubled. It was the middle of the night but there were no stars. Luna followed her sister only to see herself before she was banished.
"Nightmare Moon..." Luna said with a trembling voice. Her sister faced the terror slightly quivering.
"Luna, stop! you don't need to do this!" She pleaded. Her sister only laughed at this remark causing Tia to flinch. "Luna, why are you doing this!"
"Dear sister, might I ask you to call me by my new name. Nightmare Moon!" Nightmare Moon said threateningly. "Any ways you of all ponies should know why! It was you who ignored my requests and pleas for a longer night! You even rejected my idea of having a few ponies who would work in the night! Dear dear Tia, this was all your fault." Nightmare Moon gave Tia a long stare then flew up in the sky. The battle had begun.
Luna looked away trying not to see what she had done. A single tear ran down her face. She shook her head furiously. There had been too many tears in these past few days. This caused her concentration to slip and she fell from the dream. She fell through darkness, the familiar scene fading away. Luna landed with a thud in the blue landscape. It didn't hurt but Luna still let out a grunt. She slowly got up then looked around for her sister's dream. It was nowhere to be found. Luna didn't understand why but sometimes she had to wait awhile before entering the same dream.
Luna realized she would be stuck on the moon for awhile so she left the dream scape. She awoke once more on the unforgiving moon. She picked up her notebook and armor before heading off in a randomly chosen direction. Luna walked for what seemed and hour before giving up. there was nothing here. Nothing but lonely solitude.
Luna sat down once more. She looked at the notebook in hoof before cracking it open. Upon closer inspection she realized that the little bookmark in the back also served as a pencil. "Hmm, I might as well try to keep track of things. After all a thousand years will be awhile."
Luna took a firm grip on the pencil then wrote down the first few words. All she really wrote was the date and how the entry was labeled one. She thought back to all that had happened and began to write.
