//-------------------------------------------------------// Lunar Diary -by timeblitz- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Luna woke up in a cold sweat. Her head was spinning and she was confused. Last thing she remembered was being hit with a powerful light. She had seen this light before. This light was from the elements of harmony. Her and her sister had once used these elements to defend Equestria. But then it all went bad. Why did she go through with her plan? Why did she even think it up? These thoughts spun through her mind as she stood up. She was a bit wobbly at first and had a headache. Luna looked around her surroundings. She saw a barren wasteland, nothing at all. She looked up and saw the night sky she had created so many times. It was so familiar to her, but something seemed off. It was as if the stars were mourning. As if something important was gone. Luna searched the sky for an answer. A clue. She soon realized that she couldn't see the moon. It was gone. Luna spun around hoping that it would be behind her. It wasn't. Instead what she saw made her legs fall out beneath her. Up in the sky were the moon should be was the planet she had once called home. Earth was right in front of her. No wonder she couldn't find the moon. She was on it. Luna let out a cry of despair. She was on the moon! She realised that what she had done was bad enough for this. She had been banned to the moon. It was kinda ironic now that she thought about it. The princess of the moon was now banned to it. Luna looked down and saw her armour was still equipped. With a discusded cry she flung it off. It flew a few feet then bounced a bit. It landed in a crater a few yards away from her. "Good." Luna said. She looked around for something she could do. She liked it better when she could do something. It didn't matter if it was productive or not. So long as it was something. Suddenly a bright light flashed in her face. Luna took a few steps back startled. The light started to change. It morphed into a rectangular shape then fell to the ground. The light faded and behind left a book. It was just a plain book. Puzzled Luna picked it up with her magic and opened the first page. Inside was some writing. Luna sat down to read it. Dear Sister, I am so sorry of what had happened. I know I should have paid more attention to you. I wish that I could go back and change that fact but I can't. I also wish that I didn't have to banish you to the moon. I know that you're probably furious with me. I just want you to know that I love you and will mourn for you these thousand years. I have written this inside of a small journal. It may seem normal but truth is it has been enchanted so that you never run out of paper. I know it's not much but if the other council members found out about even this they would punish me. Love, your sister Tia Luna's magic quivered as she set down the book. A single tear fell down her face. She beat herself up for what she had done. She sniffed then lay down. "Maybe Tia is asleep. If so maybe we could dream with her..." Luna rested her head on her hooves and fell into a restless sleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Luna entered the dream scape. She looked around and saw the normal blueish landscape. She walked in a straight line concentrating on her sister. Up ahead she saw a single doorway. It was a metal door encrusted with jewels or reds and oranges. Luna opened the door and hesitated. Maybe she should just watch and not interfere. Her sister may just get upset by her presence.Luna decided that was what she would do. She entered the door and melted into the dream. Luna saw Celestia flying through the sky. Tears streaked her face and she looked troubled. It was the middle of the night but there were no stars. Luna followed her sister only to see herself before she was banished. "Nightmare Moon..." Luna said with a trembling voice. Her sister faced the terror slightly quivering. "Luna, stop! you don't need to do this!" She pleaded. Her sister only laughed at this remark causing Tia to flinch. "Luna, why are you doing this!" "Dear sister, might I ask you to call me by my new name. Nightmare Moon!" Nightmare Moon said threateningly. "Any ways you of all ponies should know why! It was you who ignored my requests and pleas for a longer night! You even rejected my idea of having a few ponies who would work in the night! Dear dear Tia, this was all your fault." Nightmare Moon gave Tia a long stare then flew up in the sky. The battle had begun. Luna looked away trying not to see what she had done. A single tear ran down her face. She shook her head furiously. There had been too many tears in these past few days. This caused her concentration to slip and she fell from the dream. She fell through darkness, the familiar scene fading away. Luna landed with a thud in the blue landscape. It didn't hurt but Luna still let out a grunt. She slowly got up then looked around for her sister's dream. It was nowhere to be found. Luna didn't understand why but sometimes she had to wait awhile before entering the same dream. Luna realized she would be stuck on the moon for awhile so she left the dream scape. She awoke once more on the unforgiving moon. She picked up her notebook and armor before heading off in a randomly chosen direction. Luna walked for what seemed and hour before giving up. there was nothing here. Nothing but lonely solitude. Luna sat down once more. She looked at the notebook in hoof before cracking it open. Upon closer inspection she realized that the little bookmark in the back also served as a pencil. "Hmm, I might as well try to keep track of things. After all a thousand years will be awhile." Luna took a firm grip on the pencil then wrote down the first few words. All she really wrote was the date and how the entry was labeled one. She thought back to all that had happened and began to write.
