//-------------------------------------------------------// Change of Heart -by Mitsurugie- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Awakening //-------------------------------------------------------// Awakening I woke up on a cold stone table, with only a thin blanket covering my body. I groan in pain as I open my eyes and tries to move. My body is coverd in wounds. The chill from the table feels kinda good numbing the pain a little. I look around the room I'm in, trying to move as little as possible. The room is pretty barren, there is just a few chairs in the room and nothing else, save the table I'm laying upon. I must be in some kind of storage room for some reason. I think to myself. I wonder where my clothes are, and how did I get here. My head hurts to mutch to think anymore. So I close my eyes and tries to go back to sleep. Wait what is that sound? I snap open my eyes and sit up ignoring the pain for now. I start looking around to see where the buzzing is coming from. I see nothing and the pain is shooting through my body. I groan and lie back down, getting the shock of my life as I see the small creature. It looks like a mix of a pony and a beattle. It has the shape of a pony but it's all dark gray, with a patch of dark blue on it's back where thin wings comes out from flapping to keep the creature flying. It's eyes has a light blue color. And the horn in it's forehead is glowing in a green aura. It's legs seems to have been eaten out of with all the holes in them. I roll of the table in panic, screaming out in pain as I hit the floor. The creature desend and land on the table. Now I see that it's wings also has holes in them. I roll from my location next to the table up to the wall as far from the creature as I possibly can get. Somehow I managed to roll the cover over my lower body to cover myself up. The creatures horn stop gloving as it tilts it's head at me not moving from the table. “So you are finaly awake” A female voice says and it sounds as if it's ecoing whitin itself. I look around before noticing that the wall to my right has opend up making a doorway. In the doorway yet another of those creatures, but this one is abit different. It's much taller then the first one I was, the tall one's horn is also a lot longer, and it's bent back and forth making it seem as if the horn has holes in it like the legs of the creatures. The tall one has green eyes, that in difference to the small one actually seem more like human eyes with an iris and all instead of just monotoned in light blue. It also has a long blue mane and a small crown that looks like a part of her body. I can't find the words to answer, I'm just sitting there with my mouth open like an idiot. “So you can't understand me?” The creature ask, seeming abit dissapointed. I close my mouth taking a breath before I manage to answer. “Y-yes I understand you” I try to crawl backwards away from the creature but my plan fails as I crawl straight in to the chairs in the room. She looks me over, abit confused. “What are you? I've not seen anything like you before” she ask me. Damn that voice is creepy. I think to myself. “I'm a human, what about you? I've never seen or heard of anything like you either.” I say trying to keep my voice steady. “I'm the queen of the changelings.” she says not bating an eye lash. “Changeling? What is that?” I ask. As an answer to my question the smaller one from the tabe jumps down between me and the queen, it looks me over before it's hooves start gloving green. The green light quickly travels over it's body, next thing I know it's gone and infront of me is well me. My eyes widen at the display of what a changeling is. The queen chukles to my rection. “So where are you from?” she ask me. My eyes moves from the other me and move up to the queen. “ To be honest I don't know where we are now or how I got here...” I say. “So I can't answer your question properly, what I can tell you is that it's called earth” She looks at me in dissbelif. “So you think more of your kind are here?” She ask me, a grin starting to form on her face. “ I d-don't know, it's possible” I say as her fangs are showing in her grin. “I asume you want to find them then don't you?” her eyes narrow as she looks straight in to my eyes. I sigh heavely in though mixed with abit of pain. “Yes IF they are here I want to find them.” “Then how about we make a deal?” she says her grin growing bigger then ever. “What kind of deal?” I ask, knowing fullwell it's a deal that probably will benefit her more then me. “ I point you in the direction where you are most likely to find your friends. “ She starts, and I quickly interupt her at this point. “And what would you want from me in return?” “ I will give you the power to travel to Equestria, and save your friends. But for me to give you power I will have to make your body to that of a changeling, this will also heal your wounds” she say's “What do you want from me in return?” I ask again, “ So far all you have said is only bennefitting for me, my wounds get healed I gain new powers and sure my bodey turns in to one of those” I nod to the changeling in the room. “But I have the power to take on any form I want. What is the catch?” “ While you look for your friends I also need you to spy on the equestrians for me, I need to know how their defences are and I need to know how much resources they have.” She tells me “And how would I report to you? I will not have the time to keep traveling back and forth while trying to look for my friends and keeping the information up to date.” I ask her. “Well there is a solution to that. I could make you part of the hive mind, but the equestrians might pic up on that.” She says. “But I have some spies there but they don't get much information, they have their posts they need to be at to not raise suspicion.” I hear the irritation in her voice. “ And how do you plan for me to know witch ones are the spies and not? “ I ask her suspisious of her plan. “ Easy, all changelings will be able to tell that you are one, and you will be able to tell who are changelings and who are not. “ The room fall silent for the most part, I groan as I get in possition to rest my head in my hands as I think about the proposition I've been given. “You are sure my friends are in Equestria?” I ask her. “Well not sure but it's the biggest contry there is.” she replies. I see her logic, if it truly is the biggest contry It's not suprising if they are there. Meaby not in the same province, but in the same contry atleast. I think to myself. “And when would I be done doing your bidding?” I ask realising she never gave a time table for me. Her eyes narrow in slight irritation. “ You are done when I have all the information I need to plan an attack on the Equestrians.” “All of it or just the capital?” I ask her. She sigh heavely. “If I can take the capital the rest of the contry will fall to me in less then a year” She say. I see her irritation slowly turning to anger. I take a deep breath. “Alright we have a deal, but you must leave my mind alone” I demand “It was my intentions from the start to let your mind be your own, a guard is supose not to talk and move as little as possible, so they are less suspicious to just send husks to observ as much as possible.” she say. “You will talk to one of them in private and the hive mind will get the information through it.” I nod. “So how is this transformation going to go down?” I ask. She chuckle at me as her horn begins to glow. My eyes widen as I realise she will use that strange glow on me. And sure enoughe next thing I know I'm inside a green cocoon. I would have paniced if not for the soothing feeling it gives my body while the pain goes numb. For some reason I can't fall asleep, it's as if I'm forced to be awake through this transformation. It feels like I'm stuck in the cocoon for days before the the wall opens up again, and I can see the queen walking in, I can't move so I can't really say how far I've been transformed but the pain in my body is gone so I'm guessing that atleast my upperbody is transformed. As the queen stops infront of me she smiles and nods to me, and I notice her horn starting to glow again. A small beam of energy cuts the cocoon open and I slide out along with the goo from the inside of the cocoon. I try to stand up, but as I'm used to standing on just my legs, it is hard for me to get up and standing like a normal changeling. “What is this wispering I hear? I didn't notice it before.” I ask her She looks down at me looking like bambi the first time he stands on ice. “You must have transofrmed faster then I thought you would, you are still yourself but it seems as if you also have a small conection to the hive mind. But I don't hear your voice in it” she explanes. “What dose that mean? That you can't hear me” I ask finaly standing up properly. “Well it seems as if you are able to hear the hive mind if you consentrate, but your thoughts don't go back to the hive, you are in full controll of yourself and have a sence of “self”. I controll the mind but I can't controll you, but you will be able to hear my orders if you listen for them” she says. I smile at that. “ I see” I reply shortly and tries to walk only to fall straight on to my face. “Alright how the hell do I move in this body? How do I change form and how do I use my wings?” I ask greatly irritated at my own inability. Like this I will not be able to find anyone, well to be honest I'm not even sure I can find them if I could move properly. I might be the only one who got here. I think to myself. “Well are you going to lay there all day?” Chryssalis says. I look up at her and see her horn letting go of it's glow. I try my luck and stand up, moving whitout problems. I start to flap my wings and sure enoughe I lift from the ground. “How did you do that, Queen Chryssalis?” I ask her. When did I learn her name? She never told me what it was. “I transferd my knowlage of how to walk, fly, change form and use magic” she say. “You seem to have transferred more informaition then that” I reply “ I now know your name, I know how to move the walls and I can find my way through here “ I say, seeing her eyes widen abit. “You might have picked it up from the hive mind, since you can hear it you must be able to get information through it” She say. “But how would that work? All I hear is wispering of atleast a thousand people at once so how can I learn anythign from it?” I ask her only to get a chuckle in reply. “You hear everything they say, so your subconsious is probably separating the voices and taking in the information separately and through that you might learn things” She say calmly. I look at her confused. “ Well anyway you can't go to Equestria looking like this.” she tell me. “ How do we solve this problem then? I mean a human stands out to much aswell.” I ask her. “Yes a human would stand out, but not a pegasus” she agrees. “But I can't turn in to a pegasus, I've not seen a real one so I can't copy it can I?” I ask Chryssalis chuckle at this. “You learn really quick, but we have a single prissoner here, a pegasus you can copy and move in to Equestria as.” she explane. I only nod and follow her to the prissoner. And sure enoughe it's a male pegasus. He's a gray stalion with a Ocarina for a cutie mark. His mane and tale are two colored in brown and rust red. He's abit taler then the normal changelings but shorther then Chryssalis. But his wings seem to be abit larger then they need to be. His hooves are a dark yellow color, I find it odd that his hooves isn't coverd in his coat as the rest of his body. His eyes are a clean and calm blue color, but not suprisingly his expression is not one of being calm. Chryssalis look over at me, as I meet her gaze I nod and start to copy the pegasus looks. “What's your name?” Chryssalis ask the pegasus. He looks at her whitout answering. “What is your name?” she ask one more time. As the pegasi don't say a word, Chryssalis charge her horn with mgic and start to shoot out small bolts to the pegasus. I've transformed in to the pegasus fully. “Is that necessary my queen?” I ask her noticing my voice is still my own. “That is why you need to hear him speak, and to hear his name, it makes you know what to call yourself too” she say continuing to shoot bolts at the pegasus. After 15 minuits of bolt shooting the pegasus gives in. “My name is Icy Song (https://scontent-a-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/l/t1.0-9/p526x296/1229954_303866659765574_681810489_n.jpg), my specialty is playing the Ocarina” He say in a darker more base voice then my own. I notice the green energy going around my throat. I smile. “My name is Icy Song.” I repeat his words in his voice. I chuckle as I truly realise the potential the changling powers have. Hope you will like the story I have no idé how long it will be as I don't see the end of it myself yet //-------------------------------------------------------// Travel //-------------------------------------------------------// Travel Chrissalis leaves with a pleaced grin on her face. I look back at the real Icy Song. “So playing the Ocarina is your specialty? Let's see if that also got copied”. I leave the room and look around in the nearby rooms for Icy Song's items He must have had something on him when he came here. I think as I look around but seemingly in vain. I turn to eave the current room I am in, only to see a changeling there. It nod's to it's right. I nod in response knowing it wants me to follow it. We walk down a couple of corridors and in to a room, there lays a emptied sadlebag on a table in the room, next to the bag there is a small book a box and some apples that's almost bad, I walk up and open the box, sure enoughe there is the ocarina laying protected by a soft cover on the inside of the box. I open the little book and to my suprise it's filled with notes to different songs. I look through the book for a song that is easy to play, don't take long before I find the most iconic and simple song ever “Happy Birthday”. I pick up the ocarina, and put my lips on the mouth peace and start playing. I notice I don't have to look at the notes I can play the song anyway. So I did get his talant in playing the ocarina, good. I think to myself before putting everything back in to the sadlebags. I consider taking the apples but decide that it's not worh the risk of having them getting bad. I walk out of the room and head for the throne room, I get acompanied by a few changelings but it dosn't matter to me, I'm happy to not having them talk all the way, there literary is no need for them to talk using their mouths since they are all part of the hive mind. I reach the throne room and see a bored Chryssalis there. I walk up to her and bow. “Thought I should let you know I'm heading out to Equestria now.” I say, still not comfortable in my new shape and my new voice. Chryssalis nods at me. “Good remember you talk to one of the changelings hiding in canterlot and the nearby area to report to the hive mind, Good luck with your task.” “You don't forget the main reason I do this is to find out if my friends also came to this world, and during the time I gather information about that I will try to find out all I can about the task you have given.” Chryssalis sigh “Go now you stubborn lit-” I interupt her before she finnishes talking. “I am going.” I bow again and run out of the throne room out to a balcony so I have a good start to fly off from. I take of from the balcony and as I raise in altitude and look down at the changling castle, if you now can call it that, it looks just like a random rock formation that someone has put a lot of holes in. I sigh and fly out over the lands, I expected to see atleast a lake close by, buy it's just a barren wasteland. No wonder that the Queen wants to get her people to a new land, and if Equestria truly is the largest kingdom I don't see why they can't give some land to the changeling. I think to myslef. Atleast the wind is fresh. I stop by a large rock tower and land on top of it. I don't even know where to fly to get to Equestria, and I don't feel like flying the wrong way. I sit down and close my eyes focusing on the wispering I hear in my head, hoping to be able to pick up how to fly there. I must have been sitting there for half an hour before I give up, I open my eyes and stand up. I turn around and jump up in to the air and starts flying back. All I need to do is to find a single changeling and have it think out the rout for me. I think to myslef as I push on to waste as little time as possible. Half way back to the castle I see a small group of changelings, 5 of them to be precise. I come crashing down right infront of them, making them jump up in to battle ready positions. As the dust from my landing spreads out and the changelings see me thay take a second to relax. I step forth to the changelings. “ How do I fly to Equestria? ” I ask them. Even without my small connection to the hive mind I could have told how they laughed at me. I roll my eyes at them but do nothing else about their laughing. The five changelings all point in the direction behind them and I hear the wisper “North” in my head. I nod “Thank you”. I spread my wings again and shoot of up in the air again. Lucky I turned back, but I wonder where I would have ended up if I continued to the west as I was flying in at first. I think to myself. The wiev isn't anything special in this direction either. Well the horizon is pretty but it has always been. I speed up abit more to get out of this boring area as soon as possible. After an hour's flight I have to land and rest for a bit. Still not used to flying I'm surprised I managed to continue flying all this time. I sit down next to a rock and lean my back to it, enyoing the chill it gives. I don't know for sure why but I pick up the ocarina from it's casing I end up just sitting watching the instrument. After a short while of just watching the ocarina, I start playing. I play a few different songs, forgetting about time. When I snap back to reality thanks to my growling stomach the day has passed and the night has begun. Damn how long was I playing the ocarina? 10 minuits or 10 hours?. Eh dosn't really matter now that I think about it, I don't have a time limit after all. I put the ocarina back in it's casing and get up on my hooves preparing to fly again. I jump up in to the air only to have my right back hoof grabed. I look back and see that two young dragons are standing there, next thing I know I'm giving the ground the biggest hug I've given anyone. Feeling dizzy I manage to get up on my hooves but I see tripple, I start backing away from the dragons, shaking my head to refocus. The dragons smile at me and throw themselves at me, I manage to jump over their claws as I land I sove my back hooves in to the spine of one of the dragons, hearing bones either break or jumping out of place atleast. I take this oportunity and jump forth and out of sight from the dragons. The unharmed dragon tries to help the injured. “Stop that go get that pegasus!” the injured shouts at the uninjured one. He nods and starts running up after me on the trail I went up through. I hear the dragons coming from behind me, I turn my head to the sides and only see one dragon. I stop in my tracks sliding a few feet before I turn to face the dragon. I throw of my pegasus form showing my changeling form as I charge my horn ready to fire at the dragon, The dragon don't seem to care that I'm a changeling. He keeps running for me, reaching back with one of his claws getting ready to slash me. I aim for it's sholder shooting out a small beam of energy forcing the dragon to stager abit, I shoot another at his arm starting to tear scales and a little bit of flesh. The dragon roars in pain and slashes at me with it's other claw, something I didn't think it would do considering the wound in it's sholder. I get hit in the face and thrown to the side, the dragons claws left wounds deep enoughe to bleed. I was surprised to see that my blood now instead of red is somekind of green/yellow-ish color. I charge my horn again, getting back up on my hooves, aiming for the dragons injured arm and shoot a bigger beam of energy. Shooting the arm of the dragon. It roars in pain and try to stop the bleeding by covering the wound with it's other claw. I smile at him and charge up again, I see the fear in the dragons eyes right before I shoot a beam at it's neck making a hole go straight through. I smile at him wickedly as the dragon slowly gets down on it's knees trying to breath again. I walk up tp the dragon taking it's form, I softly rub my cheek, and yes my wound is still there. “Damn it, I hoped it would heal” I say to myself as I remember the second dragon. I walk back to the second dragon whitout changing form. The injured dragon hasn't moved much, when it sees me it gets a angry look. “ I told you to bring the pegasus here I said ” I laugh at him. “ I did.” I slash open his throat. Changing form back in to Icy Song's. The dragon tries to say something but all that happens is the blood covering his throath gets air bubbles in it. I laugh like a mad man at the dragon before I take of again, chin still bleeding. Another hour later the sceenery change and it becomes grassland. My eyes open wider. Where there is grass there has to be water. I fly higher up and see a lake another 10 minuits down the road. I fly there as fast as I can, landing by the lake dipping my chin and shruging from the pain. I notice now that I've bleed red blood since I turned back to Icy Song. I clean my face completely and then starts to drink from a bit up the lake. Not wanting to drink from my own blood. Before I know other wise I've thrown of my sadle bags and let myself fall in to the lake, getting my coat cleaned atlest. “Anypony out there?” I hear a female calling out in the night. I climb out of the lake and see the light from a horn on somepony, and she appearently see me too. “Who's there?” she ask again. “My name is Icy Song” I reply after a minuit, almost giving myself away first. My eyes adjust to the light from her spell and I see that she is a young pink mare, her cutie mark is a bandages in a cross. I turn to pick up my sadlebags, don't realising I'm showing her my slashed side of the face. “Oh my, What in Celestias name happened to you?” she ask in a paniced voice. I look up at her, trying to give her a confused face when my chin starts to shoot out pain again. “Oh yeah. I got lucky around some dragons.” I say, not thinking it's anything special about it. “Dragons?! Where ? Why? ” she is panicing “Calm down they aren't here” I try but she starts to rumble something I don't hear anything of. I sigh and slap her. She stops in her tracks open mouthed. “I said they arent here, I ran in to them an hours flight away from here, and no they did not follow me” She takes a deep breath and nods, “come with me and we can get a look at that so it don't get infected” I nod and walk after her. She brings me to a hotel and gives me a room, before she runs and get a first aid box to clean my wound. The cleaning is more painfull then getting the slash itself. I bite in to the blanket not to scream. She puts on a bandage that covers the whole slashes. “you can't take it of for atleast three days” I sigh and roll my eyes at it. She notices it and give me a stern look. “ Three days” she say again “Alright, alright” I reply. “How much will this cost me?” I ask her “The room or the check up?” she ask with a smirk on her face. “Both” I sigh “Nothing, it's free for tonight considering you had to face dragons” “Thanks, do you mind leaving me alone so I can sleep?” I ask as politely as I can. She smile and nod without saying anything she just leaves the room. I quickly get up and lock the door, I then proceed to cover all the windows just in case I shift back to a changeling in my sleep. After the windows is coverd I fall down on the bed and fall asleep before my head hit the pillow. There is a loud knocking on the door. I wake upp irritaed cuz of it, when I try to rub the sleep out of my eyes, something seems wrong, when I realise what it is I'm looking at a darkgray hoof and leg. I almost scream out in panic before the events of yesterday comes back to me. How much did I change back to a changeling? I think to myself and check myself in the mirror, I've changed back fully. Damn it, I hurry away from the door and change in to Icy Song as the knocking comes back on the door. “Yes what is it?” I call out sleepely as my voice has changed back to the dark deep voice of Icy. “You missed both breakfast and lunch, you alright in there?” a stalion calls through the door. I look around in the room seeing nothing that can show I'm a changeling. I unlock and open the door. “Yeah I'm alright, it's just I'm a heavy sleeper.” The brown earthpony stalion with green eyes and blue mane looks over me. I smile softly and rub my eyes again. The stalion leans in abit and wisper. “ We heard that you got in some trouble with dragons, that's why we where so worried “ he moves back from me but keeping his eyes on me. I smile akwardly at him, “Ehm yeah I got in a lil fight but it's alright really” I try to explane to him. “Alrighty then” he says and leave. I sigh heavely and start to move towards the door only to be stoped by my groweling stomach. I facehoof hard, I just rememberd I didn't eat anything at all yesterday. On the other hoof I don't have any money so I can't buy anything to eat either. I look around seems I was the only one who heard my stomach. I sigh in releaf and throw myself out the door and take of in to the air. After abit of flying my luck turns around, I see a couple of apple trees, I look around and don't see anyone around. I nod to myself and fly down to take afew apples, I throw in five apples in my sadle bags, and I eat tree apples before I move on with a happier stomach. The flight inside of Equestrias borders are a lot easier to handle, not only is there more food along the way, there are also a lot of clouds to rest upon, aswell as lakes and rivers to drink and wash up in. I try to avoid towns as much as possible, and there for only run in to a few pegasi who are flying about. We only nod at eatchother in aknowlagement of eatchother before I break of and fly abit of course to get away from them. //-------------------------------------------------------// Playing songs //-------------------------------------------------------// Playing songs I've been flying in a slow but steady pace for the last 5 days. The sun is setting and I decide to take a break on a cloud. As I look around in the surounding I see a village that seems pretty lively. There seem to be somekind of party or holiday right now as a lot of lights and loud music is heard from the village. As the white light from the moon appears I look out over the close by mountains and there a short flight from the village up on one side of the mountain right infront of the moon there is a town with a big tower. I've been listening in on the hivemind and goten the information about how Canterlot looks from a distance. It's a lot more impressive then I first thought it would be. I lay down lazely on the cloud letting my hoofs fall down on different sides. The clouds here are just as they have been all the way, they look fluffy but are suprisingly dense so they feel like a hard matrass when you lie down on them. Witch is nice considering that my body is heavier now then it was as a human. The feeling of seeing my destination so close has made me relax and through that I feel the pain in my wings from overuse. I've been flying more or less constantly these past five days. I sigh heavely as my wings don't respond as I want them to. I lay down my head on the cloud and watch the village below me. They seem to have fun down there. Dancing, screaming laughing and running around. I'm not sure what they are celebrating but it must be a holiday considering it seems as if the whole town is there. My eyelids are getting heavier and I shortly fall alseep on the cloud. I wake up around noon. I put a hoof in front of my eyes to protect them fron the blending sun light. I look over my hoof and notice I'm still in Icy Song's shape. I smile to myself happy that I'm getting a good hang on keeping the appearance up. My stomach growls and I pull up my sadle bag to fetch an apple. To my dissmay all I have in my bag is the ocarina and the note book with songs in it. I sigh heavely smashing my head in to the cloud. Instead of feeling something stopping my head it goes straight in through it. When I try to gently lay down my head it gets stoped by the cloud. I see so the clouds are made so you can sit walk and lay on them but you can not harm yourself using a cloud. I think to myself as I look down at the town, only a few ponies are up and about, unicorns or earth ponies I guess, since I'm to far away to make the call about if they have wings horns or nothing at all. But if they where pegsi they would have flown not walked on the ground. As I stand up and spread my wings they once again make it know to me that I should not fly today, but I need food and to go to Canterlot, meaby I can just glide down to the ground. From there I'll figure something out. I get up on my hooves and jump of the cloud, stretching my wings out to glide down to the ground slowly. Hmm. I have no money so how can I get my hooves on some food around here? I think to myself as I look around, I'm standing in the middle of the park there is a few ponies out in the park. Some of them are looking at me. Not suprising considering I've never been here before, ofcourse some ponys are going to be curious about the new guy. I think to myslef as I move to one of the benches and take a seat. I sigh and put a hoof in to my sadlebags to check for an apple again. I roll my eyes at myself, Why would there suddenly be a apple in the bag if there wasn't one last night. I think to myself as I pull out the ocarina instead. I look it over before closing my eyes and start to play it, letting the tunes flow out in to the park for anyone to hear. The song I play is a slow smothing one, and since it's so short I play it a few times over before I open my eyes and see that a couple of fillys has taken seats infront of me listening to me play. I look at them blushing softly, I didn't think anypony would sit this close to listen. I softly smile at the fillys before I start playing a new song, putting big smiles on their faces, I look around as I play noticing a couple of mares sitting on a bench a little bit away from me looking over. I assume they are the mothers of the fillys. They wave as I look over, I nod in response and turn my attention back to the fillys. One of the fillys is a white coated unicorn, her mane is dual colored in purple and pink ther mane is purple on one side and pink on the other side. Her tail is more pink then purple though. And her eyes are green, she sit softly moving her head along to the music. The other one is a earthpony her coat is light yellow and her mane and tail are red, she has a big pink bow in her hair. She is holding her gaze on my ocarina the whole time. Her orange eyes feels like they are trying to stare in to my soul. I finnish the song, I put down the ocarina to take a small break. “What is that instrument mister?” the earth pony ask me. I look down at her then to my ocarina, then back to the fillys. “It's an ocarina” I tell her hoping I don't have to explane how they work. “It sounds beautiful” the unicorn says her voice breaking as she talks. I hold back a shrug as I smile at the unicorn. “Thank you” I say. Putting my hoof back in to my bag to take out the small book with songs in it. I look it through, and smile as I find another song to play. Just as I'm going to start playing my stomach rumble loudly. “Havn't you eaten yet mister?” the earth pony ask me. “Oh, ehm.. No I havn't I used the last of my money a few days ago. And I arrived here lastnight so I havn't been able to eat anything yet.” I say rubbing the back of my head with a hoof, trying not to look to embaresed. The fillys look at eatchother before they run over to the mares. I hear they talk alittle but I can't make out what they are saying. I put the ocarina and my book back in to the bag and get of the bench. I start walking from the park to see if I can find food anywhere. “Hold on a second partner” I hear a heavely accented voice. I stop and look behind me, to see the two fillys coming up to me having the two mares troting behind them. One of the mares is a white coated unicorn with a different purple shaded mane and tail from the filly, she hold herself with a grace I didn't think I'd see out in nowhere like this. Her blue eyes are really beautiful aswell. The other mare is orange coated with a blonde mane and tail put up in two pony. She's wearing a cowboy hat and looks more well contry girl like in lack for a better word. Her green eyes remind me of the color everything had from insdie Chryssalis cocoon that gave me my new body and powers. “Yes what can I do for you?” I ask trying not to sound rude or superior. “Well ya did play mighty beautiful, and me and my kin are having a reunion tomorrow, and well I wanted to know if you might be able to play some songs for us?” The orange one ask me, the yellow filly looking up at me with wide open eyes. I look from one of them to the other. “Well I guess I could, but are you sure you want a stranger there during a family reunion?” “A chucks it's nah problem I'm sure, if ya want ya could come over today and say hello to ma brother Big Mac and Granny Smith.” she say with a smile. I'm looking at the yellow filly that must have jumped 5 feet straight up in excitement, but none of the other ponies seems to even notice it. “Ma baby sis here told me ya all are new to Ponyville and don't have anyway to stay right now.” she say looking a little bit concerned. “Well yeah that is true, I don't really have a place to stay though I really don't mind sleeping out on the clouds.” I tell them. Only to get a high gasp from the unicorn mare. “Sleeping on a cloud outside all night?! That must be soo uncomfortable for you.” I look at her. “No not really there is a lot to do outside, well sure finding food when you are broke is kind of a pain in the ahm.” I clear my throat not to finnish the sentence and cursing infront of the fillys. “Yer broke to?” the earth pony asks. “Yeah, I though you said your sister talked to you about it” I say lifting an eyebrow in confusion. “Well we did talk but she neva told me ya where broke” “I didn't think it was in my place to tell” the filly says with a sad look on her face. I smile and pat her head abit. “No you did the right thing, it was just a miss understanding from my part.” I tell her, and she shine up like a sun again. “Well then how about ya come and work for us at tha orchard?” the earth pony mare asks. “Well I'm not staying all that long, or rather I don't think I will stay for that long but I guess that I could work for a while and earn some money before I continue my search” I say halfly to myself. “Search? What are you searching for?” the two fillys ask at the same time. “We Cutie Mark Crusaders can help you search” the unicorn say in with her loud breaking voice. “Well I'm actually looking for strange creatures that looks like hairless apes and call themselves humans” The four ponies looks at me as if I'm crazy. I smile akwardly and put my hoof behind my head. “Well anyway, Sweetie Belle, we need to head on home, I have a lot of work to do.” The unicorn mare says to the filly. “But Rarity you said we could play the whole day” Sweetie Belle complanes. “ I know, I know darling but I have a lot of work to do and it simply can not wait” Rarity tells her. Sweetie Belle gets a sad look on her face and runs away. “Sweetie Belle come back here!” Rarity yells as she starts to run after Sweetie. I chuckle at Rarity's and Sweetie Belles actions. When my stomach growls again. The two earthponies start to laugh loudly and I roll my eyes at them. Guess I deserved that. I think to myself. “Anyway I should proably be on my way to look for some food” “Oh no yah don't partner, ya are coming with us ,ya hear?” The Earth ponie with cowboy hat tell me. “That's kind of you to offer, but I don't even know who you are” I tell her. Thinking back to the human saying “Introduce yourself before asking anothers name” and since I hadn't told them my name I should not ask theirs. “Chuck's we didn't intoduce us?” the mare ask as she put her hat over her face in embaresment. “Nah, but on the other hoof neither did I” I say trying to play it off as if it's nothing wrong. She gives of a loud sigh before the little one jumps up on her back “I'm Apple Bloom and this is ma big sis Applejack” she say with a big grin. I nod “ I'm... I'm Icy Song” I say, Crap I almost started saying my human name I think to myself in a half panic. They both look at me a little strange, “Something wrong?” I ask really hoping it's nothing. “Nah it's nothing really, just that you don't really sing you play an ocarina” Apple Bloom says. I roll my eyes at them. “ Ha ha realy funny “ I say sarcasticly. “Comon ya can't take a joke?” AJ ask. And I only laugh in response. “Come on this way mister” Apple Bloom says and starts walking off. I flap my wings. Damn it they still hurt. I think to myself and sigh before I walk after Apple Bloom with AJ beside me. “So where are ya from?” AJ asks. I freeze in my tracks for a moment. “I'm from Manehattan” I say insecurly, hoping I pronounced it right. Damn it it's hard keeping pretending to be a pony when you know next to nothing of this world, seems like it's even harder pretending while trying not to give away that you are a changeling. I think to myself. “Manehattan? We have kin there. Ya like it there?” AJ sak “Yeah I guess it's as good as anyplace.” I reply “Why are you looking for those strange creatures? Did they do something to you or your family?” Apple Bloom ask jumping around me. I fall silent looking down in the ground. Good question, Why do I really look for them? I made it out alright so shouldn't they have done it to? Do I just want to know how I ended up here? Or is it that I miss them? Damn it I'm not sure... I think to myself. Not noticing that the Apple's have been trying to get contact with me before AJ push me in the side making me fall over. “Hey what was that for?” I ask angerly “Ya where heading towards the cliff” AJ say pointing out infront of me. “Oh sorry I guess I spaced out.” I smile akwardly. AJ rolls her eyes and help me up to my hooves again. “We are almost home” Apple Bloom says jumping and pointing at a house a lil bit away. I look over to where she is pointing, there is one big red house surounded by apple trees. “You've got to be kidding me” I say under my breath not noticing myself. “No we really live there.” Apple Bloom says. And I look down at her trying to figure out if she can read my mind. By the confused look she gives me I figure out she can't read it. I sigh in relef. “Race you” I say and start galloping towards the apples farm. It dosn't take long before both AJ and Apple Bloom has caught up. I'm taking a quick thought to if I should try and use my wings, but decide not to, not only do they need to rest but I also don't want to cheat at a friendly race. Not used to running like this I quickly fall in behind them and loose the race. “Why didn't you fly?" Apple Bloom asks. “Would it really be fair if I did fly? I mean I would be able to go in a straight line while you had to take all the turns. It would not be a fun race.” “Oh a true sportspony are ya?” Applejack ask. I chuckle. “No not really, I'm not an athlete, but when I do things like this for fun it sould be on the same conditions” I'm such a hypocrite, first changing what I am, only to gain the power to take on any form. That's really the same conditions for everyone there. I think to myself. “Well ah sure do like a pony who can play fair” AJ says, My eyes widen in suprise. “AJ do you have a special somepony?” Apple Bloom ask her. Probably to embares AJ infront of me. “Wah? ya'll know tha answer to that question Apple Bloom”. AJ says in a hurry, with a blush on her. “Aw AJ you're no fun answering that way.” Apple bloom says and walk inside. I chuckle at the situation and take a seat on the porch pulling out my ocarina again. “Ya really love that thing hu?” AJ says as she take a seat herself. “Yeah it's one of the few things I can be sure of.” I say not really thinking about what I'm saying. “What do ya mean?” she asks looking at me confused. I keep my eyes stuck on the ocarina. “What I mean is it will always sound the same, it don't make anything unexpected happen.” I say before I start to play a new song before AJ has the chanse to ask anything more. When I'm done playing the song, The whole apple family is there listening. I have no idéa how I can't have heard them comeout to the porch but non the less I had not noticed them. “Ehm.. Hello” I say as I look at Granny Smith and Big Mac, it's not hard to see who's who. “Ello Woopersnapper” Granny Smith says. I only nod in response. Big Mac looks me over abit before he also greets me. “food's soon ready” Apple bloom says. I look at her and smile. “Say sugarcube what was tha song ya just played?” AJ asks me. I move my gaze over to her. “ I havn't given a name to it. “ I say smiling softly. “Let's go inside and eat.” Granny Smith says, either not intressted in hearing more or she didn't hear from the start. //-------------------------------------------------------// With the Apples //-------------------------------------------------------// With the Apples We all get inside and I'm hit by a nice sent of different cooked apples, there is apple pie, apple fritters and caramel apples. My stomach growles louder then ever now and I blush alittle as Apple Bloom looks at me. “ Are you hiding a timber wolf in your belly?” she say jokingly. I chuckle at her joke. “ No but I do have an Ursa minor hidden “ a grin spread on my face as I say it. Apple Blooms eyes narrowes as she tries to find a comeback, but we get in to the dining room before she can figure one out. “Big Mac can ya help me in tha kitchen?” Applejack ask while she walks to the kitchen. “Eeyup” Big Mac say and walk in after her. 'Finaly food' I think to myself as I take a seat and wait for AJ and Big Mac comes back from the kitchen. Apple Bloom looks at me. I blink a few times but she's still looking at me. “Something wrong Apple Bloom?” I ask her. She shake her head and snap back to reality. “No, No I was just thinking.” She replies and smile “Thinking about what?” I ask genuinly curious. “Just about how you might have goten the tree scars on your muzzle and why you don't have any money. You where robbed where you not?” she pulls her ears back as she ask me that. “Apple Bloom, ya don't ask things like that and ya know it.” Applejack says sterned from the kitchen door she's walking through carring a big tray with food on her back. “I didn't mean to be rude” Apple Bloom says and she seem to shrink. I sigh heavely. “ I just didn't think about money when I left. As for my scar...” I sigh again. “ I ran in to some dragons, and well I... I was lucky I guess.” I say heavely not really wanting to talk about it. 'How do I tangle myself out of this? I can't tell them I'm a changeling and blasted the dragons to hell, So what the hay do I tell them if they ask more about it' I think to myself feeling panic slowly creeping up on me. “I thought dragons di-” Apple Bloom begins before AJ interupt her. “ Enoughe about that Apple Bloom, don't ya see it's trubeling for him?” AJ says. She put down the big plate on to the table and take a seat next to me. I look down in to the table trying to find anything to say, but I fail hard. The silence in the room is thick enoughe that you could cut it with a knife. “Well dig in” Applejack says as she take a piece of apple pie. “Thanks.” I manage to wisper as I reach for an apple fritter. As I bite in to it my mouth must have goten an orgasmn. This is seriously the best thing I've ever eaten. The apples look at me as I start to throw food in to my mouth. When I notice their eyes on me I stop. I quickly chew the food and swallow it. “Sorry, it's just I've never eaten anything this good.” I say smiling akwardly my muzzle full of crumbles “Aw chucks no need to flather like that, but ya could slow down on the eating tha food ain't going anywhere ya know?” Applejack says while she has a big grin of pride on her face. “Yeah sorry.” I say again. Starting to eat what's left of the piece of pie I had been eating on. “So you need a job woopersnapper?” Granny Smith says. I had almost forgoten she was here, out of all the apples she had made the smallest presence. “ Yeah, I don't really have any plans to stay in ponyville for long, but I can always stay abit longer and work for a while so I have atleast some money during my journey.” I say. “Well we do need extra hooves at the farm, and we could pay ya some money for it as well, if ya want it that is.” Applejack say. “Eeyup” Big Mac adds in. 'Dose he always talk like that? Just a single word really?'. I think to myself. “What kind of work would you need me to do?” I ask. “Ah nothing hard. Just putting out buckets and then buck some apples down in to them.” AJ says. 'Seems easy enoughe' I think. “Well alright, when do we start?” I ask. “Well ya would have started tomorrow but seeing as it's our family reunion tomorrow we all have tha day off. Oh yeah, ya where going ta play on your ocarina for us all tomorrow?” AJ ask. I take a deep breath and nod “ Yes I can play for you. “ I say with a small smile on my face. The apples all seem to shine up as I say that. “What now?” I ask noticing it. “Well usualy our kin play music for us all but they couldn't come this time. So we didn't know how to get somepony to play music and then ya'll came along.” Applejack says. I nod. “Alright I understand, but you do know I can't play for the entire day and I will run out of songs at one point or the other.” I say. The apples nod. We finnish the meal, Applejack and Apple Bloom take the dishes in to the kitchen. I look at Big Mac. “So ehm what happens now?” I ask. “Apple selling in town, cleaning of buckets and plowing the fields.” Big Mac says. 'Well look at that he can say more things then “eeyup”, I guess he's just not the talking type' I think to myself. “Anything I can do?” I ask. “Eenope, not this time” he answer. I roll my eyes and step outside. I take a seat looking in over Ponyville, thinking about what I can do for the rest of the day. I close my eyes for a little bit and the constant wispering in my head growes louder. I try to make out anything from all the wispers. There is to much being said at once for me to pick up anything more then just random words that hold no meaning to me. “Ya wanna come down to town with us sugarcube?” AJ ask. I open my eyes and see her and Apple Bloom looking at me. “Sure, I mean better to know what I'll be doing for work then walking in blind.” I say and stand up and the three of us walk in to town. We walk in silence, not really having much to say at the moment. We get to the apple stand after about a 20 min walk and I help the girls to open up the stand. We finnish opening up and I take a few steps back to see how it all looks when it's complete. Before I get a better look I'm laying on my side a few feet away from where I had just been standing. As I look up I see pink cotton candy. “Oh my gosh you're new arn't you? Cuz I know every pony and I mean EVERY pony in Ponyville and since I don't know you that must mean you are new and if you are new you must not have any friends yet and if you don't have any friends you must be soooo lonely and the-” The pink pony dosn't stop talking before AJ shove an apple in to her mouth. 'Wow did she even breath during all that? And wait did she tackle me?! What the hell is wrong with this pony?' I think to myself. Applejack pulls the pink pony of me. And I get up streaching to see if I injured anything. Nothing hurts so I guess I didn't get injured. “Pinkie we all told ya not to jump every new pony ya see” AJ says to the pink pony. 'Pinkie really? What kind of names dose these ponies come up with? That's just lazy' I think to myself. “But Applejack I don't jump every pony I see, I've seen three new ponies that I dind't jump, but it was harder to get them to stop and talk with me when I didn't jump them so I figured I should jump like every second new pony I see or every third one I see so I can talk to them easier and that way make more friends a lot faster.” Okey stop feeding this pony sugar she's gonna make my head expload trying to keep up with all she says she barely stops to breath. Pinkie gasps loudly. “ Oh yeah I must throw you a welcome to ponyville party.” she half yell and dissapear in less then a second. I stand dumbfolded, Applejack and Apple Bloom are laughing at my reaction. “You wanted me to come to town to see sugar in the form of a pony?” I ask looking at the girls laughing at me. “ Okay, okey nah that's not why ah asked ya to come, Ah just thought ya'll would get bored at the farm all day. And we really have told Pinkie Pie not to jump on strangers like that, she didn't hurt you did she?” AJ says looking at me with a it of consern. I shake my head “No she din't hurt me wich I find intressting and disturbing at the same time. I mean how can I be tackled like that and not get a single scratch?” I ask. AJ just shake her head. “To be honest sugarcube we don't know how Pinkie dose it either, she is just beeing Pinkie Pie.” she says with a small smile on her face. I look up at the sun and see that it's only about 3 pm. The apple stand have been open for about 10 minuits and I've already been attacked by the pink pony and Apple Bloom managed to sell apples to three ponies and Applejack has had 5 customers already. “How in the hay do you get so many costumers this quick?” I ask AJ. She looks at me and shrugs. “Well it must be cuz our apples really are the best in equestria” she jokingly brag. //-------------------------------------------------------// The party //-------------------------------------------------------// The party Nothing really happened after that, we had a calm afternoon. I more or less just laid there watching Applejack and Apple Bloom work. While I also cunjured an explosive headace by trying to listen in on the changelings wispers. Before I knew it we where gonna close up shop and head on home. As I look up in the sky I see the sun setting and the moon coming up. 8 pm on the second. I streach and help with closing shop. “I'm heading on home” Apple Bloom says in the middle of closing up. “Why don't ya wait fer us?” AJ ask her. “Silly you heard Pinkie before I wanna help her set up.” Apple Bloom says and bolt off. I look from AJ to Apple Bloom and then back to AJ. “So what was that about?” I ask. “Apple Bloom wanna help Pinkie Pie put together yer welcome party” Aj says before putting the last basket back on to the cart. “Wait why is she throwing me a party? She know nothing about me” I start. Aj just hold up her hoof. "It's no idéa to complane Pinkie throws parties for everyone who comes here. It dosn't really matter what anyone try to tell her either” she says. I facehoof hard enoughe for it to actually ame a small thud sound and I have to lay my head on the ground holding my hoofs on it. “ Oh my head, it hurts. “ Applejack laughs so hard she falls back on her plot. “Well ah guess ah had that coming didn't ah?” she ask me as she stop laughing from her fall. I'm still with my head on the ground chuckeling. The two of us soon break out in to full laughter again. It takes a little bit of time before we collect ourselves enoughe to get up on our hooves again. “Well better get this over with I guess” I say looking out to the farm seeing movement outside the house. “Ah guess” Applejack says as she start to walk towards the farm. We walk pretty slowly. “Yer not a fan of parties are ya?” AJ ask me. “ I'm not against parties but I'm not a partie pony either, I don't remember the last party held for me” I say trying to think back to when it might have been, but to no avail. “Ya don't celebrate yer birthday?” AJ ask me shocked. I just shake my head. “Not since I was little, I just don't see a point to it. I mean sure we all get older but I don't see it as something neccesary to celebrate.” I say in a sadend voice. “Ya don't need to lie to me, if ya don't want to talk bout it then ya don't want to easy as pie.” she says smiling at me. “To be honest I don't know if it's a lie or not... but lets drop it. It's not something I want to talk about.” “Alright as ya say. So what do ya wanna talk about?” She say her smile droped abit. “What can I expect at this party Pinkie is throwing?” I ask looking at AJ. “Well she usually invite the whole town there is games like pin the tail on the ponie, there is music and singing. There is punch to drink usually a lot of cupcakes and other sweets to eat. Oh and all of mah bestest friends.” she says as her smile returnes. “You mean like Rarity?” I ask looking back at the farm. “Ya Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.” “Twilight Sparkle? As the princess of friendship Twilight Sparkle?!” I yell in suprise. “Oh yeah she's a princess now, chucks ah forget she is to be honest.” She say. “How do you forget your friend being a princess?” I ask her my eyes wide in suprise. “Well we knew eatchother long before she became a princess. So ah guess we all just are to used to being friends to see the princess part” she say as we walk through the gates to the farmland. I sigh heavely. ' THIS will be a real pain in the ass. It's hard enoughe keeping my changeling powers hidden from normal ponies... And now I'm going to meet a princess' I think to myself. I snapp out of my thoughs as I walk in to the wall of the barn where they keep the buckets and carts. “Ya alright sugarcube?” she ask me. “Yeah just spaced out but my legs keept walking” I say while I turn back towards her. She nod at me and smile appearently totally understanding my suprise at her friend being a princess. Taking a few deep breaths I feel ready to get inside. I open the door for me and applejack only to see a cannon right behind the door, it's pointing straight as us. I throw myself backwards grabing AJ trying to get her out of the line of fire. With my back turned against the cannon I hear it go off. I land ontop of AJ and I quickly roll of her. “Hey are you alright, you didn't get hit did you?” I ask in panic. Applejack starts laughing. “Ya ah got hit and so did ya'll.” she point at the top of both her and mine head and I now realise that I suddenly have a party hat and konfetti fall off my head and back as soon as I make the smallest move. Applejack also has her party hat. For some reason it landed upon her hat. And most of the konfetti on her is what I dropped when I rolled off. Pinkie Pie comes out through the door. “What are you silly ponies doing? Come on the party is starting.” she say with a smile made of cupcakes. “I'm taking cover and trying to save AJ from a cannon right inside the door thank you very much” I say stale. “Oh sorry about that I should have put a note or something.” she say now without any of the cupcakes. “I nearly got a heart attack.” I claim. “Hey wait if you tried to save how come I didn't catch you in a really embaresing position that would make you shutter and try to explane while you also are panicing?” she ask. “How the hay do you talk as fast as you do?” I ask in confusion. “ Oh that's easy I just don't stop to talk if you stop to talk you can't say all you want and if you don't say what you want you might loose friends and I hate loosing friends.” She say. Only making me more confused. I help Applejack up to her hooves before turning back to pinkie just looking at her. “Are you ready to Partei?” She say with her large smile and then she jumps inside before I have tome to answer. I sigh heavely. “Comeon sugarcube lets just head inside.” I look at AJ with big puppy eyes. “Yeah ya have to” she says and starts to pusch me inside. I sigh again and start to walk. As we get inside the house it's so filled with ponies I can hardly make out everyone, there where a few that stood out, like the white unicorn standing by the mixer table, she had a dual colored mane and tail both in weary light blue colors she also have a pair of sunglasses on her, I can't see her cutie mark though, however beside her there is a light gray earth ponie with a darker gray mane and tail. They seem to be in a relationship. Another ponie that stands out is a pegasus she's also of a grayish coat color, however she has a blond mane and tail she's hilding in place in the air by the muffin table, I notice that she's holding a muffin slowly eating it. Her cutie mark seem to be bubbles. I can't for the life of me figure out what it can mean. I look around some more and see a yellow/beigh-ish earth pony with a pink mane and a pink and white tail she has taken a seat next to one of the tables with sweets on it. Her light blue eyes are pretty, but I decide not to go and talk to her. Feeling I would not even know what to talk about. I look for AJ who is standing with Rarity, Pinkie Pie. Twilight Sparkle and two pegasi. Both Rarity and AJ as waveing at me when they see me looking their way so I make my way over there. As I get up to them the first thing I do is to bow to Twilight Sparkle. “Princess Twilight Sparkle, it's an honor to meet you.” I say panic running through my mind. ' I hope she will not notice that I'm a changeling well more or less anyway. ' I think keeping my eyes in the floor so they can not see my panic in them. “It's nice to meet you aswell but please just Twilight is enoughe.” She replies to me. “Oh no that will not do.” Both me and Rarity say at the same time. We look at eatchother as we finnish and start to smile. I clear my throat, “ What I mean Princess is that I don't know you presonaly, I've meet you now and I saw your corenation but that is not enoughe to drop titles.” I say and smile at her. ' When the fuck did I see her corination? Is this knowlage form the hivemind? Or is it meaby knowlage that Icy Song had that I somehow also copied? There is to much I don't know and I need answers. I must return to the queen soon to get them. I think to myself. Twilight roll her eyes. “ As you wish... Sorry I never got your name.” She says looking a little bit disturbed by this. “Oh how rude of me. I'm Icy Song” I say and give her an apologetic bow. “Icy Song, there really is no need to bow or to use titles I'm just like any other pony” she say making a smile. Rarity gasps at Twilights words. I roll my eyes at Raritys over reaction. The two pegasi looks me over and I return the look. One of them is yellow with a long beautiful pink mane and tail. Her cutiemark is 3 butterflies. The other one is blue colored, this one has a shorter mane and tail, but they both are rainbow colored. 'I've never seen so many colors in a single mane or tail before I wonder if it was her natural mane color or if she was using dye' I think to myself as I give them my name. The blue one is quick to answer. “I'm Rainbow Dash the fastest and cooleast flier in Equestria” she says full of confidence, I give it a though to pull her ego down a bit but decide against it. The yellow one I barely hear talking as she gives her name. “My name is Fluttershy” she says hiding behind her mane. “I'm sorry I think the music was so loud I could not hear you.” I say trying to give her a smile. “My name is Fluttershy.” she say even softer. “ehm what?” I say. “Oh for Celestias sake, her name is Fluttershy” Rainbow burst out. I nod to Fluttershy. “Nice to meet you” I say before turning to Rainbow Dash and thanking her. “Now that ya have meet my friends ah can let ya all go and mingle” Applejack says and leaves the group to get something to drink for herself. “So did you catch up with your sister?” I ask Rarity. She first look at me like I'm crazy. “Oh oh oh yeah I did, hehe young girls and their silly adventures.” she say smiling akwardly. “Okey then.” I say and start to walk down towards the tables with food and drinks. I first move to take a drink, by the table I see a dark pink mare with a purple mane and tail, her cutie mark is some grapesand a strawberry. She's hugging one of the punch bowls. I roll my eyes and take punch from another bowl. Next thing I know I have Apple Bloom Sweetie Belle and a Orange colored young pegasi. They are jumping up and around me all of them are trying to talk at the same time so I can't hear what anyone of them say. “Girls calm down. Take it one at a time not everyone at once.” I tell them. The girls all take a deep breath and look at eatchoter. I smile and nod “ So now what was it?” I asked them. “ Well first we should probably introduce Scootaloo first of all. “ Apple Bloom says. “Hello” Scootaloo say. I nod “Hello Scootaloo, I'm Icy Song” I tell her to wich she mimic me and nods. “So what's next?” I ask. “ The girls don't belive that you got your scars from a dragon “ Apple Bloom says lovering her ears abit. My smile fades and I look down in the floor. “I was lucky, and Apple Bloom we where not supose to bring it up. I don't want to talk about it I told you that before.” Apple Bloom gets an even sader look. “Was there anything else you wanted?” I ask just wanting to end the conversation right then and there. “Well actually... We where wondering if you could teach us to play the ocarina?” Sweetie Belle ask. My eyes widen at the question. “ I've never had students, nor do I have ocarinas for you, I only have mine and I don't want others tuching it.” I say. “What if we get our own ocarinas?” Scootaloo ask. “Are you sure you want to continue playing the ocarina even if your cutie mark dosn't show up?” I ask them. They fall silent and think for abit. “Tell you what, think about if for the next three days, if you want to play even if your cutie mark might not show up then come and ask me again.” I give them a small smile and refill my now empty mug. By the muffin table I see Rarity. So I walk up to her. “Rarity?” I ask as I get close enoughe. “Yes darling what can I do for you?” she turns to me smiling. “Something good happened?” I ask. “Oh well pinkies parties always get you in to a good mood” she tells me. “Yeah meaby, hey by the way, how serious is your sister and her friends about everything they try to get their cutie marks?” I ask getting a confused look from her. “Why did they do something?” she ask worriedly. “No no nothing but they asked me to teach them how to play the ocarina, and well it's not something you can learn in a day. So I told them to think aout if they want to play it even if it might not get them the mark, so in three days if they come and ask again they'll have to buy their own ocarinas.” I tell her calmly. “Oh I see so now you want to know how big the chanse of them coming back and ask in three days is right?” she smile at me as. I sigh and nod. “Well if I have to guess I'm gonna guess that either Sweetie Belle or Apple Bloom will come back, but I doubt Scootaloo will, She's not a bad kid but she has a short attention span.” she says in a lowerd voice. “ I see well I'm not going to teach them if they are gonna quit after 15 min, it takes time to learn.” I say grabbign a muffin. And start to eat it. The rest of the evening proceeded with out anything really intressting happen, some small talk abit here and there and a few dances. About 12:30 AM the partie died down and the guests all went home. And I still don't know how but Pinkie Pie somehow made her party canon do the oposite of what it usually dose, instead of shooting out décor it sucked it all in leaving the apples house spot free. The apples thanked pinkie and we all went to get some sleep. I get to the window and look out seeing both Applejack and Big Mac working on building new tables aswell as repairing some old tables. 'So the family has grown a lot? Or is it just that more of the family then usual can join this time?' I think to myself as I feel an familiar and horrid sensation, I rush in to the bathroom manageing to close and lock the door before throwing myself to the toilet getting familiar with lastnights dinner, snacks, baking goods and drinks once again. 'Ugh I hate hangovers... Wait how did I even get hungover? There should have been no alcohol lastnight.' I think to myself, as more of my stomachs contents empty in to the toilet. I take deep breaths between the hurles, spitting in an atempt to get the taste out of my mouth. When I gain control again I flush and move to the sink to wash out my mouth. Just as I look in to the mirror while breathing my eyes glow green for just the fraction of a second, I almost think I was tricked by my mind when I realise my headace and my revolting stomach slowly let go of me. There is a knock on the door. “ Hey Icy are you alright in there?” I hear Apple Bloom calling thorough the door. I keep my eyes on my reflection in the mirror. “ Yeah I just had to much to drink... Or something lastnight I'll be alright after I get some water.” I call back to her. “You want me to bring you some?” I hear her voice being lifted. However I can't tell if it's in hope of being to help or to know she don't have to worry about me. “ Yeah that would be great but I will need to drink pretty much” . I call out, the only response I get is the sound of her hooves getting fainter as she moves downstairs. 'Why did my eyes glow like that? Am I losing control over my powers or is my powers evolving somehow? I need to get to Canterlot and find one of the changelings so I can get some answers from the queen. Alot of questions are piling up and I need the answers.' I think to myself as a knock is heard on the door again. I make my way to the door and open it, unsuprisingly Apple Bloom is standing there with a big grin on her face. The suprising thing is the apple bucket filled with water on her back. “Wow when I said a lot I didn't think you would bring a whole bucket.” I say as I smile at her. “ Was it to much?” She ask. I shake my head before grabing the bucket's handle in my mouth and lift it of her back to put it down on the floor. “No it's not to much just I didn't think you would bring me a bucket.” I laugh and start to drink. But before my muzzle hit the water I notice my headace is almost gone. As for my uneasy stomach, well I can't belive I had to throw up a min ago with how it is now. But since Apple Bloom went through the trouble of getting me all this water I better drink it all up not to hurt her feelings. I take my time to drink it all up, all the while I feel her gaze falling on my scars on the left side of my muzzle. She dosn't say anything but even a blind pony would be able to see the clockwork of her thinking slowly turning back and forth as if she wants to say or ask something but she can't really find the right words. I've managed to drink two thirds of the water before she opens her mouth. “ I know you don't want to talk about it, but dose the scars hurt?”. I look at her abit confused, before I shake my head and lifting my hoof to my face stroking the scars. “ No they don't hurt, well not physicaly anyway, the memories still scare me and when I think back I still feel the burning pain I fellt when I got it.” Her ears fall back alittle. “ Is there anything I can do to help that? “. She asks sounding as if she already know the answer. I shake my head again. “ No the memorie will always be there, so will the scars. Only time can heal these kinds of wounds.” She smiles weakly as she take a seat falling silent again. I smile back and nod before starting to drink the water again. Finaly done drinking the water, meaby I drank abit to much but oh well it's just water so it will not hurt. I thank her for the water and go back in to the bathroom closing the door and finnish my buisnies there. Shortly after I come back out. “So what are we to do now?” I ask her. “I don't know, I'm bored of waiting but Applejack and Big Mac says they don't need my help right now. So I was walking around trying to find something to do when I heard you in there.” I nod at her throwing the bucket up on my back and the two of us start heading downstairs. I didn't notice it before but as we decend the stairs I catch the scent of newly baked apple pie I stop just below the stairs to take a deep breath savoring the scent. “Granny is baking for the reunion, we all ate a pie for breakfast, but we saved you a piece too” Apple Bloom says before she runs in to the kitchen. I hear the loud banging of something metalic smashing in to eatchother and the floor. I drop the bucket as I rush to the kitchen seeing a lot of cake forms spread out all around the floor, Granny Smith is taking a pie out of the oven and Apple Bloom is hiding underneath the kitchen table. I sigh deeply and make my way to Apple Bloom. “ Hey there you alright?” I ask as I lay down looking in at her. Noticing the tears in her eyes. Behind me I hear hovesteps. “What the hay is going on in here ya'll?!” Applejack shouts as she shoots in to the kitchen looking around in a panic. It's first now that Granny Smith seems to notice anything going on in the kitchen. “ Well good morning to you to.” she says looking at Applejack. “ It was nothing, just a little accident but I don't think anyone is hurt” I say looking back to Applejack and Big Mac who now is coming in behind her. I look back at Apple Bloom. “ you arn't hurt are you?” I ask her and she shake her head in response. Before slowly crawling out from under the table, I stand up and turn around to see that Applejack is already cleaning up the cake forms from the floor, all I see of Big Mac is the edge of his tail as he walks outside again. “ So what do you need all those tables for?” I ask trying to get rid of the uncomfortable silence in the kitchen. “ Ah ya see most of tha Apples are coming this time and well, we all had some accidents and such since the last time so we all need some new tables to get everypony to have a place at a table. “ Applejack says seemingly stressed out. “Anyway how are ya'll feeling? Ya didn't seem all to clear last night when ya went to bed.” She says looking me over. I chuckle abit. “Thanks toApple Bloom bringing me a whole bucket of water I should be fine soon, though I don't know how I could have goten drunk, I mean there was no alcohol there last night right?” I ask confused. Applejack laughs abit at this. “Nah there should not have been any but on tha other hoof Berry Punch where there and well she usually spite the bowls of drink closest to her” Applejack explanes. “ And Berry Punch is?” I ask raising an eyebrow at her. “Tha Pink mare who where hogging a bowl all to herself” AJ says with a smile as she puts the last cake form back on the bench. I sigh deeply. “And none of you girls warned me about it?” I say. “ Well sorry bout that sugarcubes but we all though ya would notice after the first cup but ya just keept on taking form the same bowl.” “Well sorry me for not knowing Pinkie's recepie for punch.” I say sarcasticly and we all share a laugh “Icy you want your breakfast?” Apple Bloom ask's balancing a plate with a piece of pie on her head. I smile and nod at her and she put the plate down at the table. So I take my seat and starts to eat. “ Oh yeah Apple Bloom, Bab Seed said she'd be coming here eariler with the train to spend some time with ya and the other girls before the reunion starts. Applejack says from the kitchen door. And I almost fall of my seat from Apple Blooms shriek and jump straight up in to the air. “When is she coming? Hu? Hu?” Apple Bloom starts to ask over and over and I see the smile on Applejacks face. “She'll be here in about an hour.” she says. “An hour?! I better get running to the station then.” Apple Bloom say and start jumping towards the door, but I stop her by grabing her tail. “Hold on there Apple Bloom where is the fire?” I ask. “What there is a fire?!” both Apple Bloom and Applejack shouts at the same time looking around them. And I face hoof hard. “No no it's just an exprecion, I mean't what's the hurry?” I explane and they bouth sigh in reliaf. “ Well if her train is here in about an hour I'll have to go right now or I won't be there when the train comes in.” Apple Bloom says. I chukle at this. “ Calm down alittle will you? I'll fly you over there.” I say with a smile. “What really?” Apple Bloom says jumping up and down in the same spot. “Yeah I've been earth bound these past day's I really need to streach my wings so why not help you out aswell?.” I smile and let go of her tail so I can finnish my meal. Applejack rolls her eyes and leaves to help Big Mac. “I'll be right back.” Apple Bloom says and rush up to her room. Just as I finnish my breakfast she comes running back down with a red cape on her back. I look at her for a bit. “What? This is the Cutie mark crusader cape that Sweetie Belle made us.” she says as if it's the most normal thing in the world. I smirk and roll my eyes and the two of us walk out doors. Once outside I strech my wings and don't feel any resistance at all. 'Good all healed up' I think to myself. I kneel down making it easier for Apple Bloom to get up on to my back. Once she's on I stand up again. “Hold on tight.” I say feeling how she tightens her grip around me. And as I try to move my wings again I notice that she somehow isn't making it harder to move them. 'Good thing it'll be easier to fly then'. I think to myself and leap up in to the air. ' Ah it feels great being back up in the air '. “Now here we go” I tell her and start to fly towards the train station. The closer we get to the station the easier it is to see the smoke coming from the lokomotive on the train. “ You think that's her train?” I ask Apple Bloom. “ Yeah no doubt about it,” she says and I decend to the perong where we both take a seat on a bench and wait for the train to come in. A good 15 min later the train pulls in to a stop and I have to cover my ears from the screeching noise of the breaks. Apple Bloom starts jumping up and down on the bench to try and find Bab Seed as soon as she gets of the train. I chuckle at her. “THERE SHE IS!” Apple Bloom suddenly shout out and bolt towards another filly. This filly has a light tan colored coat and she has a short mane and tail that is dual colored in shifts in color from a light red color to a light pink. She is wearing a red cape with a blue shield and a yellow pony on it. She is having a bag with her aswell. I asume she was having a lunch box or whatever the ponies response to a lunch box is with her on the train. I let them talk abit and wait for them to come back to me. Instead of moving up to them and telling them that we should. It takes them about five minuits before they realise they are still at the train station. Apple Bloom starts looking around before seeing I'm still sitting on the bench. She bring Bab Seed up to me and smile abit uneasy. “What's up?” I ask looking at them both. “Well first of all, Bab Seed this is Icy Song.” Apple Bloom says to her cousin. “Do you think Applejack would think it's okay if I and Babs go to Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo to do some crusading?” She then ask me. I ponder on this for a moment before I speak. “ I don't see why you could not. Just remember not to go on for to long.” I say and look from Apple Bloom to Babs and back again. They both nod before running of before anything else is being said. I sigh heavely before flying back to Sweet Apple Acres. The second I tuch down on the ground Applejack comes running out from the barn. I walk up to her and tell her where Apple Bloom and Bab Seed went. Applejack nods and tell me to take it easy for the day and just rest up so I'll be ready to play the ocarina during the evening. So whitout anything better to do I go in to Ponyville. Thanks to Twilight beeing a princess now there are guards walking about. I havn't walked far in to Ponyville before I sence someone staring at me. When I look around to see who it is I notice a guard standing abit away from everyone else signaling me to come over. Something feels off about this guard but I can't put my hoof on it. 'Well better not piss him off then'. I think to myself and fly over. As I land on the ground beside him, he turns around and walk abit further away from everypony else. “ How come you havn't reached Canterlot yet? You left about a week ago.” The guard ask me. I look at him confused. “I don't know what you are talking about.” I say stumbeling over my words. “Well atleast you are trying to hide what you are.” he says to me before looking in to my eyes. As he do I see him change his eyes from those of a pony to those of a changeling, he only keep the change for a second before going back to the pony eyes. “So that's what gave me the strange feeling about you.” I say more to myself then him. “Yes but that dose not answer our question, why haven't you reached Canterlot yet?” He ask again. I shake my head. “ I told the queen that your planes are a secondary objective to me, I have people to find first. And in order to find them I need money and clues. And here I can atleast get some money by working at the apple farm.” I explane only to get a sigh in response. “ We told you everything you need you can find in Canterlot and you will get us infrotmation just by walking in to the city” The guard says. “On another note. This morning when I was looking myself in the mirror my eyes glowed green for a split second what dose that mean?” I ask trying to get the conversation off the topic about canterlot. The guard chuckles. “ So you have goten somepony to care for you?” “What do you mean?” I ask sincerely confused. “ We changelings don't only live on romantic love, though that is the absolut best. But we also gain strenght based on the love friends share between eatchother.” The guard says calmly. My eyes widen abit. 'But who would... Apple Bloom was the only one close by is it her?' I think to myself. The guard smiles. “Seems like you know whos feelings you can feed upon.” “ Do I chose to feed or is that something we do whatever we want to or not?” I ask “ You will always feed upon others feelings, but you can chose to what extent you want to feed. If you chose not to feed of your own will you will only gain alittle bit of strenght and the one whos feelings you feed upon will be him or herself. But if you chose to feed more and more on them they will lose themselves to you and you will be able to comand them like puppets.” The guard says as his smile widens. My eyes widen even more and it feels like they are about to pop out of my head. 'I really should have asked more questions about the powers the changelings have before I accepted the queens deal' I think to myself. “Is there anything else I should know?” I ask. “Anything more you should know about what?” A female voice asks from behind me. I see the guard bow down before I turn around to see Twilight Sparkle together with Rainbow and Fluttershy. “ He was just asking me for ways to spend the time in Ponyville as he has no plans until later this evening. Princess” I hear the guard answer while I'm still trying to figure out just how long they have been listening in on our conversation. “Oh and what is happening tonight?” Rainbow asks looking straight at me. I shake my head before I open my mouth to speak. “Well you see Applejack is hosting a family reunion and I'm supose to play some music during it.” “ You play an instrument? “ Fluttershy asks. I nod to her. “ Yes I play the ocarina. “ I say. ' Should that not be kinda obvious seeing as my cutiemark is an ocarina?' I think to myself. “ Could you let us hear alittle? “ Twilight ask smiling slitely. ' Well it could not hurt now could it? And it will help me to kill atleast alittle time before I have to play for the apple family' I think to myself and reach back to grab my ocarina from my sadlebag, only to find that my bags are missing. ' Oh right I didn't bring them since I barely got back to the farm after taking Apple Boom to the train station.' “Sorry but it seems I left my ocarina back at Applejack's place” I say smiling akwardly. “ Oh that's a shame, well meaby another time then.” Twilight says. I nod. “Yeah another time I promise, but now I'm gonna have to excuse myself and head on in to town and see if I can find something to spend some time on.” I say and bow before I start walking off. “Is it just me or is he abit odd?” Rainbow ask the others. “Odd? No I'd say he's just not as everypony else from Ponyville.” Fluttershy says and the three of them start to laugh. Once back in town I casually stroll around no particular location in mind. ' It was a close one that we almost got caught by the princess and her friends, I really hope they didn't hear anything about changelings from us' I think to myself. //-------------------------------------------------------// Family Reunion //-------------------------------------------------------// Family Reunion I'm taken out of my thoughts as a orange filly in a red cape comes speeding by on a scoter, efter her comes a small cart bringing three other fillies also in red capes. I start to laugh as I see it's Apple Bloom and her friends. They manage to wave to me before Scootaloo pulls them away. 'Where are they going?' I think to myself as I start to hear a soft clicking noice. I look around to find the cause of the sound I notice a white coated colt with a brown mane with a lighter stripe going through it half hidden in a bush taking photos of everything he see. 'He better not have been around the conversation I had with the guard, it could cause a lot of problem for me' I think and decide to keep my eyes and ears open for him from now on. I continue on my way down through Ponyville when I see the colt flying off in the direction the girls went to. ' I wonder why he's taking pictures of everypony, meaby I should follow him and see if I can figure out why' I think to myself before I get tackled by Pinkie Pie. “Pinkie what was that for?” I ask her as I get my balance back. “Oh I'm sooooooo sorry it's just have have to get Twilight and the others to try my new cupcake recepie oh wait you can come and try it too can't you ? Hu can't you?” I put my hoof in her mouth to get her to stop talking. “ Pinkie calm down, you are talking way to quick. But sure I'd love to try your new recepie “ I say and smile to her and take my hoof out of her mouth. “ Oh that's so great I'll meet you by Sugarcube corner in 15 minutes then” she say and bolt of. 'So Sugarcube corner then, where was it now again?' I think to myself and sigh. Streaching out my wings I spring up in to the air quickly seeing the pink roof of the building only a few minutes walk away. 'Oh now I can make good on my promise to Twilight and play the ocarina for her and her friends, just need to go back to the farm and get it first.' I turn around and fly towards the Sweet Apple Acres. Once I get there I once again see the white colt taking pictures around the farm. I shoot down and land right next to him. “ And what are you doing here?” I ask him. He looks up at me seeming surprised that I noticed him there. “ I'm taking pictures for the school paper” He say and smile proudly. “So you are telling me that taking pictures out here has anything to do with your school?” I ask and look at him in dissbelif. “Well no but I think it's better to take photos of as much things as possible incase someone writes about it.” he say his smile fading abit. “ Do you have premition to take photos of everypony?” I ask keeping my gaze at him. “ Well no I don't, but can it really hurt anypony to be taken a photo of?” He ask seeming really unsure. I sigh heavely. “ Yes it can hurt what if you take a photo of something somepony want to keep secret?” I ask as I take a seat next to him. He thinks for abit before he pull his ears back seemingly to remember something that happened before. “ You are right, it actually did hurt everypony once before, but I think it was more what was writen then my pictures but you do have a point.” He say looking really sad. I nod at him. “ Then you know it can hurt, so I'm gonna ask you right now to destroy any pictures you've taken of me, I don't want to be in a news paper alright?” I say putting a hoof on his sholder. “ Alright mister I will, and I will also go and talk to everypony I photoed and show them the pictures of them to see if they mind or not.” He says and starts walking towards Applejack and Big Mac. I nod at him as he look back to me before he walks up to them and I see them talking. I hurry on in to the farm and up to my room and get my ocarina putting it around my neck in it's strap before I head back outside again almost running in to the colt as I hurry out the door. “Woah sorry for that.” I say and help him up as he fell down in suprise from almost beeing ran in to. “It's alright” he says smiling and accepting my help. “Applejack and Big Mac wasn't botherd by having their picture taken but they really aprichiated that I asked this time.” “Ah good, so who else have you taken pictures of?” I ask him. “Almost everypony.” He admits. “Well then come with me to Sugarcube corner, I'm meeting with Pinkie Pie and her friends there, so you can cross of a few ponies at once there.” I tell him and spring up in the air waiting for him to fly after me. He jumpes up after me alittle unstable but air born. We fly in a speed he's comfortable in flying to make sure he don't acidently lose controll and crash or something. We arive alittle late but I hope it dosn't matter, as we step inside Sugarcube corner all the girls with the exception of Applejack who is still at the farm preparing for the family reunion is there talking and eating cupcakes. Pinkie Pie shoots a look the door and see me and Featherweight in the door way. “Yay you came!” she shout out and in the blink of an eye she has moved from her seat up right infront of me. In reflex I step back a few steps. “ I told you I would love to try your new recepie, didn't I?” I say and force a smile. 'There is something about this pink pony that is bugging me a lot.' I think to myself. Pinkie nods and jump back in to her seat amongs her friends. I step in and see that at the table next to Pinkie and the other four the changeling guard and another guard is sitting watching everypony. The changeling guard meets my eyes for just a second and gives me a slow nod. The buzzing of the changeling hivemind press on harder in my head giving me a headace. I place a hoof to my head and the buzzing softens. ' Was he trying to tell me something? Has anyone found out about me?' I think to myself feeling panic starting to build up in me. I notice the changeling guard softly shake his head. This suprise me. 'Is he able to read my mind or did he just read me so good he noticed I was starting to panic.' I think to myself. “Are you alright?” Featherweight ask me. I look down at him and nod. “Yeah I just have a small headace, it'll pass.” I assure him. “You go and talk to the princess and her friends about the pictures you have taken.” Featherweight nods and slowly walk up to the girls. I take a deep breath and walk up to the counter ordering a soft cider. I wait for Featherweight and the girls to finnish their talk. When Featherwieght leaves their table I nod in aproval to him and I walk up to the girls. “Darling so nice to see you again.” Rarity say as I come up to the table. “Thanks it's nice to see you guys aswell.” I reply keeping a small smile on my face. “Now that everypony is here we can try my new cupcakes.” Pinkie say and get of her seat to run in to what I assume is the kitchen. She is gone only a minute before she comes back to the table crying a plate with cupcakes on it. They look nothing special, normal cupcakes with a aquamarine colored frosting and green sprinkels. The six of us takes a cupcake eatch. The girls all take a bite at the same time and they all seem to really try to grasp what the new cupcake is made out of. I smile and take a bite aswell. 'The texture of the cupcake is nothing special but the taste is uniqe I can't put my hoof on what the taste really is but it tastes really good' I think to myself. “Pinkie these are really good, what did you mix in them?” I ask before I shove the rest of my cupcake in to my mouth. Pinkie absolutely shine up from my prase of her recepie. “Oh it's see weed” she say with the biggest smile I've seen yet on her face. 'See weed who would have thought?' I think to myself and smile. “Not something I've heard of anypony try before.” I say. The girls all seems to like the new recepie and Pinkie really shine with hapiness. I throw a look out the window and see several carts rolling in through town. The girls also notice the sound of the wagons and turn to take a look. “Hey isn't that Braeburn?” Rainbow ask when she see a pony who look really simular to AJ, only this one is male and wear a west aswell as the cowboy hat. “Yes it is.” Rarity says. I look at the girls then back to the stalion. “Oh hay I forgot the time. They are here for the reunion, I have to go.” I say to the girls before I rush out the door. I hear the girls say something but I can't make out what they said, and I don't stop to ask what they said either. The second I'm through the door I jolt up in to the air and fly off towards the farm. From the air above the farm I can see the first cart coming out of town. I nod to myself and fly down to the ground landing a bit away from AJ and Big Mac. “Hey guys, your family just left ponyville so they are here soon.” I tell them, both AJ and Big Mac look at me and smile. “Thanks for tha update, how was yer day?” AJ ask whit a smile on her face. I nod amd smile back. “It was pretty good, Pinkie made a new recepie for her cupcakes, this time she had see weed in it, tastes really good though.” I say and my smile widens abit more. “Sounds good.” Big Mac says before he leaves me and AJ. I look confused after him and AJ starts laughing. “He probably went ta greet tha family when they all come to the farm.” She say and gets another nod from me as a response. I look around myself and see that the whole place is cleaned up and a lot of tables has been put up to give everypony somewhere to sit and eat and talk around. “Any last minute things I can help with?” I ask. “Nah we're all done here.” She say “Now where is Apple Bloom she should be here when tha family comes, so should Babs.” She say looking around. “Last I saw them was meaby 20-25 min ago in town, want me to go looking for them?” I ask flaping my wings to show I can do it faster then she can. AJ looks at me and sigh. “Would ya?” she ask seeming unsure. I give her another smile and take flight. I hardly make it of the farm before I see Apple Bloom and Babs walking next to Braeburn on their way to the farm. I turn back and land next to AJ again. “They are coming here with Braeburn any second now.” I say, AJ nods and give a sigh of releaf “Good then we all can start.” “Ya're joining in for tha activities right?” she ask looking at me. “ I don't know it that is a good idéa I mean it's a family thing right?” I reply. “Well that's true but won't ya get bored not doing anything?” she ask. “I can manage.” I say giving her a smile to witch she just roll her eyes. “Alrighty than, just know that ifin ya want to ya can join in.” she say and smile. 'What is she going at here? I'm no apple so I don't have the family ties to join in do I?' I think to myself. “Oh hay you where already back.” I hear Apple Bloom say. I look over to where her voice was coming from, only to be greeted by the sight of an army of apple family members to come our way. 'Wow I really didn't expect them to be THAT many, I guess this is one hell of a reunion' I think to myself as I give Apple Bloom a nod. “Yeah I got here just a moment ago” I tell her and smile. “How did crusading go?” I ask her. Apple Bloom and Babs both seem to shrink alittle. “It didn't go all to good, we didn't get our cutiemarks today either.” Apple Bloom says and I notice Babs covering her flank with her tail. “I'm sorry girls, meaby you will get them tomorrow then.” I say trying to cheer them up alittle. They nod but still seem sad. 'Damn it how can I cheer them up? I hope what ever this family reunion is holding will make them feel better' I think to myself. “Now now girls don't be like that, we are having a family reunion after all”. Braeburn say and hug them. I turn to AJ. “So what happens now?” I ask her. “Ah well ah was thinking the seven leged race at first, for the younglings than we have ta see” AJ says. “Seven leged race? Okay, and just how far are they running?” I ask her. “Ah not that far, really come on ah'll show ya'll.” AJ say sand starts walking of to the barn. Apple Bloom and Babs start running after AJ along with some other fillies and colts. I tror after them, looking over all of them, but for some reason my gaze always return to Apple Bloom and I feel a strange kind of hunger when I look at her. 'Damn it, why do I feel like changing and shove my fangs in to her? Hope fully the feeling goes away soon, I'd rather not lose control and actually do it' I think to myself while I shake my head in an attempt to get the feeling away. “Ya alright there suggarcube?” AJ ask suddenly snaping me back to the world. “Yeah just lost in thought.” I say giving an awkward smile to her. She gives me an odd look, but quickly shrug it of when she turn around and walk in to the barn soon coming back with some ropes in her mouth. AJ give me and the younglings a nod to follow her out abit further to what looks like a goal line. Once we reach the goal line I see it doubles as both start and finnish line. The fillies and colts pair up and wait for Applejack to bind their front hooves together. “Applejack don't you think we are abit to close to the forest?” I ask her while I look down to the everfree forest just a few hundred feet down to the side. “Nah it's never been a problem before ah don't see why it would be one now” she say calmly. I look from the forest to the younglings and back to the forest again. “Alright if you say so.” I say. “So where are they racing to?” I ask looking back to the road ahead of the fillies and colts. “Ah just down the road abit til a red flag then back here, first one back is tha winner” she say with a grin. I don't see the flag from where I'm standing so I jump up in to the air. I manage to see the flag down the road. ' It has to be a 4 miles race back and forth, I wonder if that is normal for them. Then again they are a hard working family from the looks of it' I think to myself before I come back around to the ground. “Alright so what are you adults gonna do while they run the seven leged race?” I ask “ We all are probaby just gonna have a talk with one another, nothing serious just catching up ya know?” she tell me. I roll my eyes abit. “ Alright have fun, I'm gonna take a nap on the roof” I say and jump up in to the air again, landing on their roof where I lay down and close my eyes. I can hear the adults talking but since they are so many talking all at once I can't make out what they are talking about. Now that I think about it, it feels kind of like the buzzing in my head from the constant chatter of the changeling hivemind. I yawn and strach out abit before I finaly fall in to a light slumber. I can't have been sleeping for more then ten minutes before I'm woken up by screaming foals. I throw my head up and look over to the race track where I see the younglings running back towards the farm followed by wolfs made out of wood. ' Wolfs made out of wood, seriously? What the fuck is wrong with this place?' I think to myself before I notice the stalions running out towards the foals and the wolves. Without a second thought I shoot out from the roof and fly straight for one of the wolves hunting the slower younglings. I reach them in just a couple of seconds and tackle the wolf away from the foals. Both me and the wolf hit a tree, the wolf breaks in to twigs and sticks and I continue straight in to the tree sholder first. I shake my head to clear it from the impact. The slowest pair of the fillies has frozen in place and the wolfs are slowly closing in on them. I bolt towards the fillies and manages to grab them before the wolfs pounce them. Holding the fillies I fly higher to the air looking around and see that both Big mac and Braeburn are bucking wolves that are to close to the first couple of foals. I fly towards the farm and the mares and drop the fillies by them before turning back and bolting back to the wolves. While the apple family stalions are keeping the wolfs from coming in to the farm I fly to the back of the group to get the slower foals away. I manage to reach the couple furthest to the back, but when I grab them and start flying upwards one of the wolves jumpes me and bites hard in to my left hind leg. Thanks to the added weight I can't keep myself airborn. I see Big Mac running towards us so I throw him the fillies in my front hoves before I drop out of the air. When I drop to the ground again I fall on my back, the wolf starts pulling it's head from side to side quickly in an attempt to tear me leg of I guess. I start to punch it in the head but it dosn't help much. I can see blood pouring from my leg down to the ground and in to the wolfs mouth. I try to reach around to get to the wolfs throat. But thanks to the way the wolf is holding on to my leg I don't reach properly. All of a sudden a beam of magic shater the wolf, I take the opportunity and get in to the air imeadetly, but I feel light headed and tired. 'How much blood have I lost already?' I think to myself. A couple of more magic beams shoot out from the farm hitting two more wolves shatering them. The other wolves run off and when I look to the farm I see the changeling guard along with acouple of other unicorn guards standing there. As I drop to the ground landing back in the poudle of my own blood the changeling guard runs over to me, covering me from the sight from everypony else. “You need to feed so you don't black out completely.” he says to me while he look over to the others. My vision is slowly getting blurry as I try to get up on my hoves again. The guard push me down again. “You have two options right now, either you feed enough not to black out completely, or you just pass out now and get killed when you change back to a changeling while you are unconsious.” He say through his teeth. 'So it's either take a shoot at feeding and possibly harm Apple Bloom, or die either from blood los or by one of the ponies here when I reveal myself to be a changeling, sorry Apple Bloom but I need to find out if there are other humans here and if there are, how did we end up here?' I think to myself. “Well?” the guard glare at me. “How do I feed?” I ask weakly. The guard roll his eyes. “Focus on the emotions from those who care about you and just absorb the power in those feelings.” My eyes get a green tint as I do what the guard say. The green tint dissapears as quickly as it appeared but I still feel myself healing from the power I drain from Apple Bloom, and someone else but I can't tell who. “Good you should be able to keep your pony form even when you faint now.” The guard says before he nod to the other guard on the farm. I feel my eye lids growing heavier and soon I pass out.
