Burning Fate

As Twilight boarded the train to the Crystal Empire she took one last glimpse at the castle that rose into the dark of the sky where the black eye stared at the city waiting for any chances for destruction. The five below it looked up to it pondering what sort of trickery it could be conjuring up. It looked fixed on one spot, but every few hours one would look up to find it in a new spot. They eye would move when nopony was looking. It was a poison seeping into the skin of those it looked upon, the blackness growing darker every second, and the cracks of white light burning those eyes that stared into them for too long. Twilight hoped that nopony would try anything while she was gone, she starred out the window as the train departed Greenwood. She looked around the train to find about a tenth of the population of Greenwood starring at her as she turned to see them. She looked at all of their worried faces.

“Don’t worry about them, everything will be just fine.” Twilight said.

She let down her head and fell asleep, after all she did need some rest. She woke up to find herself in the middle of a red desert, this didn’t seem the little bit familiar to her at all. What was this a dream? She stood up off of the ground, and took a look around. This was not anything she had seem before for, where was the train. She tried to open her eyes, but all that happened was the burning of the sun dried her eyes before she could pull them completely open. She decided to take a walk around, maybe she could find an exit from this burning wasteland. She lifted on foot, and placed it just in front of her. She did this for hours, and ended up to find Greenwood just beyond her. She picked up the pace, and only found that the closer she got the further it got. This was going to be a long journey for her, and she knew that it would be painful to.

Ponies gathered all around Twilight as her body lay there shivering, she was moving limbs around as if she was running, they all looked down as their princess drove herself into insanity running in place mumbling, and dreaming her worst dream. Twilight looked up to see the sun glowed black, she didn’t know how such a color could glow, but it did. This frightening sight made her look down to the ground to see the sand sinking below her. The land was falling, and the only choice was to run. She ran on and on until she found only one spot that wasn’t falling beneath her. When she stopped the black eye came down from the clouds to meet her.

“My name is In Kendov, and this is my prison. No pony has escaped, and now I have a princess of a great empire trapped in my burning hell. This shall be your fate, give up your empire and I’ll think about setting you free. Otherwise you’ll be trapped in the burning dream and never wake up, the clock is ticking Twilight. Even now your own citizens group around you to see the body other their princess sweat in one of the coldest environments in Equestria.”

Twilight looked to the black shattered eye as a body formed around it, her legs felt like cinder blocks as the figure appeared into her sight. She tried to look away, but his body seemed like a magnet for all eyes. He starred at her as she struggled, and only every once in a while would take a moment to look away. Twilight starred down, and thought to herself that she would make it out for her friends. Her empire needed her. At the moment that she had those thoughts the weight of the cinder blocks lifted off of her hooves, and she sprung out and tackled In Kendov. He fell to the ground, and said.

“Now you’ll never escape.” He vanished into thin air as Twilight lifted herself off of the ground.

She thought this is no wasteland, it’s only a dream. The dreamers have control over their own dream, all they have to do is think to change it. She took a moment to think intensely about her home Ponyville. The more she thought building showed themselves, and the whole desert changed in her own command. She thought more as ponies showed themselves around her, and the darkness went away. She had just taken control of the situation, now was the time to open her eyes. She woke up on the train with ponies surrounding her, and all starring with pain. She had no idea what had just happened, but then just decided to ignore it. Nothing this pony could try would make her give up on her friends back at Greenwood nothing.
