The War of Equestria

Twilight Sparkle opened Canterlot's doors. She was invited here for a random reason. Spike was following her, books in her hand. Another group of books was being pushed by Twilight, the stack double the height of Spike. Twilight (after 4 minutes of pushing) finally stopped. She bowed, and Spike followed. Princess Celestia was at the throne, Princess Luna next to her. They both smiled, Luna's smile quickly fading. "Welcome. You have not come for a test." Princess Celestia finally said. Twilight frowned. Spike rolled his eyes "You have come for the fate of Equestria, as predicted by my sister." Celestia said. "Death is upon us,"

"So, what do I have to do?" said Twilight, smiling.

"Head into the depths of Myster Cave. But there is more you need to know." Celestia said. Twilight's smile faded away. "Do you remember the battle between Queen Chrysalis? She, through a dead spirit lying in the cave, saw the action. The memory that the spirit caught was found...."

Twilight's head seem to explode, her eyes turning backwards, pitch black, she felt the red carpet on her knees.... And then she saw something.

A tall character. A dead Queen Chrysalis. The tall creature was standing, staring

"Worthless," it said.There was a spell, in the creature's hands... FLASH... Chrysalis was up.

"YOU FOOLISH PATRON! YOU HAVE DONE PATHETIC WORK! YOU LITTLE-" The creature was swearing.....

"N-no, Ma-M-Master-r, it is n-not wha-wha-what yo-u t-think!" Chrysalis was shaking....

"SHUT UP, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT YOU! I SHALL SEAL YOU AWAY, NOT TO DO EVIL FOR ONE THOUSAND YEARS!"

"M-MASTER, N-N-N-O, P-P-PLEASE!" Chrysalis was crying.....

"I-I-I will s-s-spy them.... P-please, M-Master.... gi-give m-me on-on-one mor-re chan-chance." spoke Chrysalis.

"Foolish. But spy them, do as you please. Death is upon us all. Death, fear, blood, destruction, discord for the world. They will meet all that.

"Including me. Di-s-di - - - " The world warped, and Twilight returned to the castle.

"The 'master' Chrysalis was talking about," Celestia said, surprising Twilight. "Was, well, Discord. He is restoring his power, to send destruction, and to take over all of Equestria."

Twilight gulped. "But-t I killed him!" studdered Twilight. "How can i-it can be happening?"

"I do not know. Now, go." Celestia said. "I will tend your books. GO!"

Twilight and Spike ran out the doors. "Wait!" Twilight called. Spike immediately stopped. Twilight opened the doors. Princess Luna was gone.......

"P-Princess? I-is this necessary?"

"YES, GO! WHERE-"

Twilight closed the doors, and along with Spike hurried out the castle to the cave.

They quickly reached the cave. "So, where do we begin?" Spike slowly asked.

"Inside, of course!" Twilight said, with a "this-is-a-waste-of-time-Spike" voice.

The cave was still the same. Nothing had changed, just that a few rocks had fallen. CRACK. "Move quickly," Twilight whispered. They walked with no light, until it was completely black, and the light from the opening was gone. Twilight's horn grew white, and they were surrounded by light, bordered by darkness. They soon reached the circular place where they battled Queen Chrysalis. The fire was out. Twilight searched for something like a secret passage. "Light the lantern," Twilight whispered to Spike, getting the abandoned matches on the floor. Searching the fireplace, Twilight was pressing the bricks on it. "No - no - no, no, that's dumb - no - not at all - am I mental or have I failed? - No - YES!

The brick was some kind of button. It then began heading inside, and the bricks twisted out. The blue flames were lit, and water gushed from the top, spraying water onto Spike and Twilight. A light was seen from above, and then was seen to be a torch. Then, there was a tunnel, going down. Spike walked forward. "Should - eh, I go first - I mean, fall in the hole?" he asked.

"Maybe...." Twilight responded.

"Alright...." Spike jumped down. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh - h - h - h - h - h...." Spike's screams quickly disappeared. Twilight fell down the hole, particularly squished. The hole widened, and the shape of Spike was eligible. She caught up, and she saw Spike. He had a bloody nose.

"Why the-"

"Bloody nose?" Spike replied. "Oh, just a forecast of falling rocks."

"Falling rocks?"

Just then, a rock hit Twilight's back. "OWWWWWW!!" she boomed, as they kept falling. "HOLE--OW-" She knew that she had a huge scar, for she felt blood oozing down her back. Twilight could see the surface - it was rocky.

"AHH, WATCH OUT!" Twilight screamed, holding Spike. They landed hard, and Twilight felt another 2 scars on her. Spike's nose was now bleeding violently, his hands and fingers slightly covered in blood.

"Ugh, I need a napkin or something..." he muttered slowly.

A stone passageway, dark, was up ahead, turning left. They walked slowly towards the passageway, a torch seen every few meters. They walked forward for 2 hours, in silence, until Spike spoke. "Do you think we would stay here for a few more hours? I'm hungry for jewels."

"I dunno," Twilight answered, now bags in her eyes. They saw a huge light after 3 more hours, now the both of them seeming like dead insomniacs. "Whavh dohv youhv tkinsh is tuaht?" Spike mumbled, not making any sense at all.

"Wha?"

"What do you think is that?" Spike said again, now eligible.

"Maybe some kind of checkpoint....."

After many, many, many minutes of walking, they reached the light, and just as Twilight predicted, it was a check point. There was a sign, saying:

If you have survived this, you are amazing. Death awaits you - DO N - ~

There was a scribble and nothing more could be known. "What does it mean, by 'Death awaits you?'" Spike asked. "And that 'D', 'O', and the 'N'?"

"I don't know...."

They walked forward, and then after a few minutes, they reached a rope, tied in a circle.

"A trap, move slowly around." Twilight said. They walked around slowly, and then -

"AAAGHHHH!" Spike was trapped, and next second, Twilight.

"AAGGHHHH!" they both screamed. "SPIKE, USE YOUR-"

Soon, knifes were sent all over the place, missing them by a millimeter, and it cut the rope. Twilight escaped before a knife hit her by a millimeter. Getting a knife on the floor, she released Spike, screaming, "GET OUT, GO!" Spike runned away, then Twilight followed, hitting the knifes following them now. The torches were out, they were being on the verged on being stabbed, what else could go wrong - ? And they soon saw a huge room, headed to the center of it, and were somehow sucked up the air, flying up, and the knifes were flying up, and how was it happening.....

The hole heading up was skinnier by the time they were a mile up. And the tunnel soon widened, and skinned. Like a pattern, they were heading up the skinny and the small tunnel, and reached the surface.

There was a huge, decorated hall. Both of them walking towards the hall, looking ancient. There was a huge seat in the front, with fires next to it. On the floor was a dead or unconscious body.

And Twilight noticed it. She was gone when she asked Princess Celestia...

"Spike! It's Luna!"
