Night time adventures

The moon shone brightly on Princess Luna's coat as she strolled around the decorative halls of her castle. She came to pass a large window and looked through it. She smiled at her beautiful moon, as she began to trail of into thought.What am I doing? She began questioning herself about why, even now, no one appreciated her glorious night. Then she had an idea. How bout I get the armor out and be the pony I once was, for the night. Her mind was made up. She raced to the research lab and looked through all the drawers. Soon she found what she was looking for. The deep blue armour glinted in the moonlight, as Luna grabbed all the pieces together. She put it on her blue coat and felt a tingling sensation flowing from where the armour was placed. All at once, dark blue clouds started taking over the luna princess. Darkness surrounded her, but quickly, was brought into the light of day. Guards, scientist and servants surrounded her.

"Wh-what's going on? She asked, and unpatiently waited for the answer. An anger bubbled through her, 'twas a feeling she had only felt once before. One of the scientists whinced but quickly answered her.

"Your um highness. Did you put on the armour on, last night?" He shivered slightly, but waited for the princesses reply. His golden coat was shaking from terror, and caused his dark brown mane to bounce uncontrollably.

"I-I can't remember... Oh um yeah I um did. But um what happened, and why do I feel different?" Her voice was more rich and deeper than before. Suddenly, the door to the lab burst open, and entered Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight. Twilight gasped in terror at the sight of the pony on the floor. Celestia however did not even flinch, but instead yelled angrily.

"Why Luna!? Why!? I have told you not to even touch them, have I not!" She facehoofed silently, before carrying on with her rant. "Look at what has happened Luna! Look what you have done!" Her usually gracefull voice had turned into full rage. Luna whimpered at her angry sister, but other than that, didn't utter a sound. Twilight didn't stop staring at her, her eyes filled with great terror, and with deep sadness. Twilight said at last.

"Luna, do you feel completely different?" Luna nodded slowly, still not bothering to talk. "Celestia, I think that she might be stuck like this, forever." Luna still hadn't known what the trouble was about, all she had done was wear Nightmare moons armour, right? Could they get to the point? All I did was wear the armour, pass out and wake up! They had better got a good reason for this.

"LUNA!!! ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME! YOU ARE NIGHTMARE MOON, AND I HEARBY FORBID YOU TO ENTER THIS CASTLE UNTIL YOU ARE LUNA AGAIN!!" Celestia's voice boomed. Luna looked down at her hooves, noticing they were black, instead of dark blue. Realising what Celestia had said, she pulled herself to her hooves, opened a window and flew out, with tears running down her cheek. Now what do I do? No home. No more Luna. I'm Nightmare moon now. As Twilight had said. There is no going back.
