Doctor Whooves: The Millennium Party
Lights of Manehatten
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe T.A.R.D.I.S landed on an island near the bridge leading to the heart of Manehattan. The Doctor and Pinkie Pie walked out of the T.A.R.D.I.S, ready for good party night and trying to promise themselves not to get to obsessive with alcohol, but it was a promise that would obviously be boring.
"I'm exited for tonight, I haven't been to a party in a few years!" the Doctor stated.
"A few years?! I have one almost every week!" Pinkie replied, smiling as always.
"That's because you're a party animal! I don't know how you can survive having a party every week." the Doctor wondered.
"How do you survive being shot at be evil creatures from outer space every day?" Pinkie laughed. "What time is it?"
"I don't know, the sun is setting, so about six 'O clock in the afternoon." the Doctor replied. He looked behind him to see a huge skyscraper out in the open. It had a blinding light coming from the stage lights shining up into the sky, signalling that something was going on.
"Why do they have to have those lights up in the sky? It seems over the top for one skyscraper." the Doctor asked.
"It's the biggest party in history! It's not going to look like a normal house party with only a few lights turned on, with the only action being a chick flick about someone spilling a beer or something like that!" Pinkie laughed. "They just want people to know about it and there is going to be a very loud noise coming from it that the rest of Manehattan will hear when the countdown for the new year starts, along with a new millennium!"
Pinkie Pie and the Doctor walked over to the docking area where the boats would pick them up and take them to the main land. The Doctor and Pinkie Pie walked on board the boat, paid their rip off fee of five bits to travel to the mainland. They sat down on their seats on the top deck of the open roof boat. Pinkie pulled out a camera from... Where ever she pulled it out of, the Doctor looked confused of where she hid it without the Doctor noticing it, but he remembered Mrs Cake's advice, to just go along with it and not ask questions, otherwise you will get more confused.
"You brought a camera with you?" the Doctor asked.
"What? You can't come to Manehatten and not bring a camera, especially since the millennium party is about to happen." Pinkie replied.
"I guess you can't!" the Doctor laughed.
"Have you ever been to Manehattan, Doctor?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"No, but in my universe, on the planet I spent most of my time on, there was a place called Manhattan, and it was just like this. People everywhere, skyscrapers covering the suns light above you, and just like this place, never slept." the Doctor explained. "It was almost exactly like this place except the statue looked different and it was populated by a different species."
"Oh, well look, we're almost at the main land and it looks like we're getting of right next to where the millennium party is taking place." Pinkie Pie screamed in excitement.
The Doctor and Pinkie Pie jumped off the over priced boat and walked over to the skyscraper where the millennium party was being held. Pinkie Pie turned her head and gasped.
"What is it? What's wrong?" the Doctor worried.
"Everything! Everything is wrong! I haven't got a picture of the lights of Manehattan yet!" Pinkie replied as she pulled out her camera. "I gasped at the centre of Manehattan! It's beautiful! It's blazing lights amaze me! I must take a picture of it!" She took a photo of the centre of Manehatten that was blazing with lights.
"The centre of Manehattan. Where all of the famous skyscrapers are, and together they create the famous lights of Manehattan. And yet this one building out shines all of them put together! They're really trying to make this as noticeable as possible!" the Doctor explained.
"Do I need to explain all of this again?! It's the biggest party in history!" Pinkie Pie shouted.
"I know, I know! I'm just saying!" the Doctor laughed. "Come on! Lets get a ticket and join the queue to enter!" the Doctor suggested.
The Doctor walked over to the ticket booth to buy two tickets for the millennium party, two tickets for the biggest party in history and it still wasn't as expensive as the boat ride to the main land. They then joined the long entrance queue to enter the biggest party in recorded history. Pinkie Pie was getting more exited by the minute.
"I wonder how she's going to act when we actually get inside..." the Doctor wondered.
Meanwhile in the queue, mostly mares, started screaming in terror and something kept crawling around their hoofs.
"Agh! Rat! Silver rat thing! Get it away!" They all screamed.
"Ugh! Why can't they just leave it alone, he probably just want's to get passed, but they're to many ponies around. Poor thing." Pinkie stated.
"Silver rat. Hmm, rings a bell." the Doctor thought for a moment.
"What is it? Does silver rats mean something to you?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Can't be, really?" the Doctor thought, trying to remind himself of what tiny silver rats meant to him. "Nah! Probably nothing! Never mind, we're almost in now anyway."
