Maud looked at the piece of paper in her hands. Staring at it. Her younger sister was getting married? She had a colt friend in the first place? Who in the world was Cheese Sandwich? Questions raced through her mind. Maud’s thoughts were never like this. The only thing that usually went through her head were rocks, what kind of rocks, the rock cycle and etcetera.When did Pinkie even get a colt friend anyway?Maud breathed in for a second and tried to recall the date. It was the 23rd of January if she could remember correctly. So she could catch a quick trip on the train to Canterlot. Their father was already dead, so Maud had owned the farm for a couple of years already, it wouldn’t hurt to catch a break.The gray pony looked back at the piece of paper, checking to see if the younger sister was pulling any pranks. She flipped it around and there was a note, written by Pinkie Pie. Maud could tell by the hand writing.P.S. Sorry that I couldn’t tell you about Cheese before. I do hope that you come though, this is a very important day to me and it would fill me up with even more joy if you came to the wedding since you’re my sister. I had invited Lime and Marble already, and they’ve already arrived. You can meet my fiance as well! Ah, nevermind that. I hope you can come! <3~ Pinkie
So this really wasn’t a prank. Hopefully. Maud’s eyes scrolled down the page and she saw an unfamiliar handwriting, that was definitely not Pinkie’s. It was more controlled, but still messy. Shy, but firm. Coordinated but loose. It was probably that Cheese Sandwich guy that Pinkie was marrying. Of course Pinkie would be in love with someone that was down to Earth like her.
Maud could already tell that Cheese was Pinkie’s duplicate in personality, who could be able to calm down for a bit. Unlike Maud’s spasm of a sister, who could never take a break. Maud could sense that Cheese could act like a civilized pony.
But sisters alike, of course Pinkie and Maud could never be civilized. And that was in two different ways. Pinkie could just never stop, never calm down. The pink pony was on an endless sugar rush, and some ponies couldn’t take that. Whereas Maud was the exact opposite, she was a freak, she could never socialize with anypony and always ended up making things awkward because of her love of rocks.
Nevertheless, Maud would change for this one occasion. Just this once.
P.P.S. Pinkie really does hope you come. You’re really important to her, even if you don’t spend that much time together. I really hope to meet you and that we become good friends. You seem like a wonderful person from what I’ve heard.

And for some reason, Maud couldn’t tell if she wanted to meet Cheese because she wanted to befriend him and talk about the little things that Pinkie does, or she wanted to take him away from her precious little sister.
It was probably both.
