Fairy Tales: The Ugly Pegasus

             Once upon a time down at the Everfree Forest , lived a family of unicorns,  and Mother Unicorn had been sitting pregnant on some straw. One beautiful morning, she gave birth to six pretty foals, she still had one foal coming, Mother Unicorn didn't recall the doctor saying she was going to have seven foals. How did she have seven foals? Then, the foal came out. "Did the doctor count the babies wrongly?" Mother Unicorn wondered. The seventh foal was a bright pink Pegasus. The foals grew quickly, but Mother Unicorn had a secret worry.

               "I can't understand how this ugly unicorn can be one of mine!" She said to herself, shaking her head as she looked at the last born. Well this pink unicorn is certainly wasn't pretty, and since she ate more than her sisters, she was outgrowing them.  As days went by the poor ugly Pegasus became more and more unhappy. Her sisters didn't want play with her, she was so clumsy, all the neighbors simply laughed at her. She felt sad and lonely, while Mother Unicorn did her best to console her.

             "Poor ugly unicorn!" she would say. "Why are you so different from the others?"  And the ugly unicorn felt worse than ever.

She secretly wept at night. She felt that nobody wanted her.  "Nobody loves me, they all tease me!  Why am I so different from my sisters?"  Then one day, at sunrise, he ran away from the forest. She stopped at Ponyville and began to question the other ponies.

"Do you know any fillies with wings like mine?" But everypony shook their heads in scorn.

"We don't know anypony as ugly as you." The ugly unicorn did not lose heart, however, and kept on making inquiries.
