Forbidden Love

It's a nice sunny morning in July and summer has just started. The girls are out at the market in the center of Pony Ville just doing a little shopping. Something seemed a little wrong though, Fluttershy seemed to be in a real hurry. It was like an excited yet worried rush. Twilight decided to walk up to Fluttershy and ask her what was wrong.

"Fluttershy, are you okay?"

"Of course, what makes you think somethings wrong?"

"Well you seem like your in a rush, and you've been kind of distant lately."

Fluttershy scratched the back of her head then talked in a very fast yet very quiet manner.

"Um well, oh my gosh is that the time I have to go, bye Twilight."

Fluttershy dashed off faster then she probably has ever gone before in her life.

Pinkie Pie hopped over to Twilight's side.

"Why did Fluttershy fly away so fast?"

"I don't know Pinkie, after wear done hear I think all of us should go to her cottage to see how shes doing."

Pinkie then hopped away with a smile on her face.

"Okie Dokie."

After the girls were done shopping they went over to Fluttershy's cottage to see if she was alright.

*Knock knock knock*

"Fluttershy it's me Apple Jack and all the other girls, we came to see how your doing."

Fluttershy opened the door but not all the way at first. Then she opened the door and spoke to the girls.

"Oh hi girls I'm fine I just needed to get home so I could write to a friend before I forgot I'm sorry."

Twilight looked at Fluttershy and said.

"Oh Fluttershy it's okay, we were just making sure you were okay. Go back to what you were doing it's getting late anyway we'll see you tomorrow."

As the girls walked away from Fluttershy's cottage Twilight quickly looked over her shoulder at Fluttershy's house in a worried way.

When Twilight got home Spike was sleeping like always, so Twilight decided to follow Spike's lead and get some sleep as well. That morning Twilight got a message from Princess Celestia. The letter was summoning Twilight to Canterlot as soon as possible. So Twilight didn't hesitate and just left for Canterlot.

When Twilight got to Canterlot she rushed to Princess Celestia's castle, when she got there Princess Celestia was waiting for her.

"Princess I got your message and rushed hear as quick as possible, is there something wrong?"

"Thank you for coming so quickly Twilight, I just wanted to talk to you about your friend Fluttershy."

Twilight was shocked because out of all of her friend's that the Princess would wan't to talk to her about, Fluttershy was the last pony that would come to mind.

"Why Fluttershy, is there something wrong with her?"

"No nothings wrong with her Twilight, I have just noticed that Fluttershy has been kind of well distant lately. Do you know how's shes been lately?"

Twilight put her hoof to her chin and said.

"Yeah she has been kind of distant, me and the rest of the girls went to her cottage and asked her how she's been and she told us she's been writing a friend of hers so that's why she's been in a hurry to get home."

"Alright Twilight and remember I always keep a close eye on you and your friends."

"Yes Princess and thank you."

When Twilight got back to her house Spike was gone. Twilight figured that Spike was out bugging Rarity or something, so she just let it be for now. about 10 min or so after Twilight got home Spike came in the house a little cautious as if he didn't want Twilight to know that he's been gone.

"Spike, where have you been?"

"Oh, um no where Twilight I was just talking to Fluttershy really fast."

Twilight looked at Spike as if she didn't really care.

"How is Fluttershy doing Spike?"

"Oh she's doing-'

Before Spike could finish his sentence a note came out of Spikes mouth, Twilight quickly grabbed it out of the air.

"Oh Spike it's probably a note from the Princess."

Twilight opened the note and read the top and the note said:

My Dearest Fluttershy.

Twilight looked up at Spike.

"This note isn't even to me its for Fluttershy, and it's not from the Princess."

Twilight was going to close the note up for Fluttershy's privacy, but her curiosity got the best of her and she didn't read the note but she looked at the bottom to see who it was from. To her shock the bottom of the note was signed:

Love Your Unfriendly Neighborhood Discord.

"Fluttershy and Discord write each other letters?....... Discord is who she has been writing to all this time?"

Twilight closed up the letter and put it on the floor in front of her.

"Spike did you know about this?"

"No Twilight, well I know she's been writing letters to some pony and Iv'e been delivering them for her but Iv'e never known who too, not until now."

Twilight picked up the letter and re closed it so it was as if she never opened it. Then she made her way to the door, but before she was able to open the door Spike jumped in front of her.

"Your not going to tell the princess are you Twilight?"

Twilight looked at Spike and sighed.

"I don't know, its not like I don't trust Fluttershy, its that I don't trust Discord. But don't worry Spike for now I won't tell the princess, I will just wait till I feel like its really necessary for the princess to know."

Twilight moved Spike out of the way then went out the door to go to Fluttershy's cottage. Before Twilight knocked she took a deep breath then put a smile on her face. Twilight lightly knocked on the door 4 times so she wouldn't disturb Fluttershy's animals. Fluttershy didn't open the door all the way at first she just cracked the door then quietly spoke.

"Hello, who is it?"

"Fluttershy it's me Twilight, I came to bring you this letter."

Fluttershy opened the door all the way so she could grab the letter from Twilight.

"Oh, thank you Twilight."

After Fluttershy grabbed the letter her and Twilight said there good byes then Twilight left almost as quickly as she came.

Back at Twilight's home Spike was siting and eating a ruby while he was waiting for Twilight to get home. Twilight came home looking a little tired.

"Are you okay Twilight?"

"Yah I'll be fine Spike I just need to sit down and think for a bit."

Twilight went up stairs to go lie down on her bed and think things threw as she said before it wasn't that she thought Fluttershy couldn't take care of herself, it was that she didn't trust Discord.

During the time that Twilight was thinking she happened to doze off for a bit, but then she was woken up by loud voices yelling for her outside of her house.

"Twilight come down we have to talk to you."

The loudest of the pony's was her dear friend Pinkie Pie. The other girls were with her as well, or well all the other girls except for Fluttershy. Twilight didn't come down right away, first she just got up an put her head out of the window.

"What is it, is there something wrong?"

Apple Jack looked at all of the girls then back up to Twilight.

"Well yah sugar something is wrong, it's about Fluttershy. Just come down stairs and we'll tell you about it."

The girls came inside while Twilight made her way down stairs. When all the girls were together they got into a big circle so they could talk.

"Okay girl's whats the problem, and where is Fluttershy?"

Apple Jack sat up strait and began to tell Twilight what had happened.

"Well what happened was Rarity came to my house about an hour ago asking for some help."

"You see I was planning to stay up all night making 5 new dresses for my new Summer gowns collection but I ran out of Gems so I needed help gathering them."

Rarity exclaimed.

"As me and Rarity were looking for Gems we heard a scream up in the sky but not to far away from us. When we looked up we say um......well we saw...."

Apple Jack's words trailed off as she tried to speak.

"What, what did you see?"

Asked Twilight

"We saw....Discord..., and he was carrying Fluttershy on his back."
