Author's Note
This is a new idea of mine that i thought would be a interesting Concept i am relatively new to this Fiction-writing thing, so any constructive criticism would help.

In the middle of a large courtyard, many people of different features stood together, “Are you ready now?” The good witch of the north said.
A girl with pigtails that held a basket with a dog inside replied, “Y-Yes” She said on the verge of crying, spinning on her heels as she does so, “Say goodbye Toto,” shaking his paw up and down in a forced wave; her friends waved back both with sadness and hope filling their hearts. Dorothy spins around to face the Witch once more, “Yes, I’m ready now,” she said a bit more happiness in her voice.
The witch smiled at her and put her hands on Dorothy’s shoulders, this gave Dorothy more courage, “then close your eyes and tap your heels together three times,” The Which said. Dorothy did as she was told: one tap, she got nervous and stalled for a moment, then took a deep breath and continued. one tap, two taps, and three. Dorothy nodded to herself, there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, There’s no place like home, Dorothy started to think this over and over again in her mind. She began to say it out loud, “there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home, There’s no place like home”

Everything went quiet as her consciousness slowly faded, after what seemed like an eternity in black, nothingness; Dorothy heard voices coming from a slowly brightening light off in the distance, voices she had never heard before.

The witch looked at where Dorothy was standing for a moment before something clicked in her mind, “Oh no” she said in a horrified tone as her eyes grew wide.
“What is it?” the scarecrow said worriedly.
“D-Dorothy just hit her heals together FOUR times, this could be bad, really bad,” she said and was now starting to pace.
“W-why is it bad?” the Lion asked now genuinely terrified as he was not used to the witch seem so worried.
“She could be ANYWHERE! Each hit of her heels takes her closer to her home, she did it four times!” she paused and composed herself now realizing she was yelling the entire time, “Basically she just flung herself past her destination and into a place none of us can predict” she said calmly.
She waited for this information to settle into the three who stood before her. “Y-you m-mean she is lost, on her own, in a place not even Oz knows” a tin man said depressingly,
“I’m afraid so” she replied.
I hope she’s ok the scarecrow thought to himself.

“W-What is it” one of the voices quizzed in a low tone, verging on a whisper.
“Dunno, never seen anything with THESE”
Dorothy wondered why she put emphasis on ‘these’ when speaking, she felt pressure on her ring finger which interrupted her thought; “Maybe Princess Celestia knows!” one shouted.
“Maybe” another voice said with a slightly country twang to her voice.
“Ooh, ooh, ooh, we should hold it a Welcome-to-equestria-get-better-soon-sorry-you-fell-from-the-sky-and-landed-on-your-face party!” another practically squealed in their high pitched, squeaky voice.
“Pinkie, we need to wait for it to wake up first! And we don’t even know it’s friendly!” she said with both authority and worry in her voice. Pinkie, perhaps a nickname.
"Wher’d ya fin’ it anyway Shy?” the country girl questioned. Shy, that has to be a nickname, no way had someone named their child shy.
“I- erm was walking h-home from T-Twilight’s w-when I saw it fall from the a-air” the soft voice explained. She even sounds shy, and this makes no sense, why do they keep referring to me as ‘IT’. Why did I fall from the sky, who is Princess Celestia and where is Toto! I think I have dragged my Sleep out long enough, I need answers! Dorothy thought to herself.

Dorothy pretended to stir from sleep, having already been awake for a while.
The voices silenced, Dorothy assumed she had made her made her presence known to the group and they were waiting for her to ‘wake up’ even though she has been a wake for a good few minutes listening in on them.
Dorothy slowly opened her eyes as to get used to the light of the room, after a few moments staring at the ceiling; two large lavender eyes entered her view.
“H-Hello” A voice said, probably the one these eyes belonged too.
“Hello” was all the pigtailed woman could get out before she found herself lost in the sea of colour that was these strange eyes in front of her. After spending a few moments to long staring at each other Dorothy heard someone clear her throat. The young women managed to pull her eyes away from the lavender ones to look at the source of the interruption.
The woman’s eyes widened at what she saw, An Orange pony, standing a few feet from the side of the bed she was in, she, (Or at least Dorothy assumed it was a she) had a blonde braided mane that was tied up at the end with a red band, and sitting atop her mane was a light brown Stetson which managed to suit her very well.

Dorothy shot up, nearly head-butting the owner of the lavender eyes on her way up; and with a flurry of limbs and a very feminine shriek found herself in a heap on the floor tangled in blankets and sheets off the bed on the opposite side to the pony who startled her.
It was then as she was peeking over the bed that she saw the others in the room, All ponies and all with abnormally large eyes, one with wings and a Unicorn, (Dorothy knew it was a unicorn due to her many fantasies about them as a child). As her eyes wondered across the room and across the other ponies her heart rate increased at the sight of three more colourful ponies as well as the Stetson; wearing pony. Where am I, The pigtailed woman thought and proceed to ask that question.
“W-w-where am I?” Dorothy said, a bit more nervously than she planned.
“Equestria silly, where else would you be” squealed a pink pony as she bounced up to her, said pony had a light pink coat, as well as a darker pink mane which was way too bouncy than should be possible.
It was at this point that said pink pony pushed her face right up to Dorothy’s face and proceeded to ask as many questions within ten seconds as she had been asked in her entire life.
“What’s your name? What are you? Where are you from? Do you like parties? How old are you? Do you like cake? Are you friendly?” The pink blur said as she shot around Dorothy.
Dorothy, in the midst of all these questions was scanning the room for a way to escape the pink pony,
The orange pony spotted this and decided she best calm pinkie down.
“Pinkie! Calm dahn, yer scarin’ er’ sugacube”
Pinkie stopped the questions and gave a sheepish smile towards Dorothy
“Sorry” she said “it’s just been a while since someone new came to ponyville” a blush worked its way onto the pink ponies face. Dorothy couldn't help but smile at the cuteness of this pink pony.

Dorothy looked past the pink pony to gaze at the two ponies she hadn’t got a look at yet the first one; was a purple coated unicorn with lavender eyes, the same lavender eyes she first saw when she opened her own, her mane was a dark blue with a pink and purple streak in it the same pattern was on her tail.
The second one was a butter coloured pony with a flowing pink mane and lovely turquoise eyes, she must have noticed Dorothy looking at her because she ‘squeed’ and resorted to hiding behind her mane, Dorothy then noticed that this pony had wings, she was rather amazed at this development but shook it off, seeing as she was on a world with talking ponies she just accepted it. All-in-all this butter coloured winged pony just screamed ‘adorable’.

“Booooaaaring!!” the pink pony exclaimed. Dorothy noticed the orange pony face palm, or is it face hoof she thought.
“So…” The unicorn began “what’s your name?” she asked.
“Dorothy” She said instantly, still trying to process everything going on.
“Oh! Like that really old movie with the; witch and the wizard and the scarecrow and the lion and the yellow road!”
“Wait, how do you know that!?” Dorothy shouted, whilst pointing a finger to pinkie.
Pinkie realising what she just blurted out put two hoofs over her mouth for a moment, everyone now looking at her with questioning looks on all of their faces.
“OH! I think I just heard rainbow, bye!” she shouted before dashing of leaving a pinkie shaped cloud in her wake.
“Wait…What…How…Who?” Dorothy stuttered trying desperately to find an explanation for what just happened.
“Don’ question it sugacube, no one but pinkie understands pinkie” The Stetson wearing pony told Dorothy who intern gave her a questioning look. How did she know all that about me? Do I talk in my sleep? Can she read minds? The pigtailed woman shook her head to rid herself of such a Insane thought of being able to read minds.

There was a sudden knock at the door, which made the pink maned pony jump near three feet off the ground with a ‘eep’, after a few moment the door opened and in walked another unicorn, this one however was pure white with a dark purple mane; which was stylized so it flowed like a wave, her tail spiralled like a coil behind her and had the most intoxicating blue eyes Dorothy had ever seen, it also looked like she was wearing light blue eye shadow.
“ahh” she said looking at Dorothy “Darling, your finally awake!” she exclaimed excitedly, “I hoped that would be the case when I saw pinkie dashing off, know tell me, why were you wearing such dreadful clothes when we found you?”
“Erm” was all Dorothy could get out, she was focusing too much on whether to take offense to that last sentence.
“Rares, leave er’ alone will ye’, she woke up ‘bout 10 minutes ago, she’s probably confused as all hell right Na, and she doesn’t need ya insultin her dress sense” the orange pony said to a now sheepish ‘Rares’.
“Oh, my apologies I didn't mean to sound insulting” the white unicorn said to Dorothy, looking at the floor as to avoid eye contact with the pigtailed woman.

Dorothy made a mental note to thank this Stetson wearing pony for controlling her friends in the future. There was an uneasy silence that followed, no-one knowing what to say, Dorothy decided to try and break the silence.
“So…”Dorothy trailed off trying to think of something to say. “What are all your names” she asked the question that first entered her mind, which for some reason wasn't ‘How the hell did I get here’.
“Well” the purple unicorn started, pointing a hoof at herself. ”I am Twilight Sparkle. The towns librarian” She then pointed at the white unicorn, “This is Rarity, the towns self-proclaimed Fashionista”
“Pleasure” the white unicorn said, whilst bowing her head. Dorothy gave her a short smile then bowed her own head as well, it is then she realised she was still lying on the floor still, and proceeded to get up and sit on the edge of the bed.
Twilight then pointed a hoof towards the orange pony, “This is Applejack, the town’s apple farmer”
“Howdy, Partner, we sell the best apples in all of equestria!” she said proudly, swinging her Stetson with her hoof off her head whilst going into a dramatic bow, before placing the Stetson back on her head flawlessly.
The purple unicorn then pointed at the butter coloured pony who, then cowered away behind her mane again.
“This is Fluttershy, she looks after the wildlife and is basically the towns vet” Twilight said.
“Erm… H-Hi” the winged pony said clearly uncomfortable with the conversation, Dorothy gave her a warm, comforting smile, which Fluttershy hesitantly returned.
Suddenly a thought came to her mind at the mention of animals Toto! Her eyes went wide and she couldn’t remember if he was with her when she arrived at this new world, she thought best to ask these ponies if he was with her when they found her.
Twilight noticed something was wrong when she noticed Dorothy’s eyes go wide.
“Is something wrong?” she asked.
“Toto!” she screamed “He’s my dog! Was he with me when you found him” Dorothy practically screamed.
“Well we didn’t find a dog next to you when we found you but…” she was interrupted by the door creaking open and in walked a rather small, what looked like a baby dragon.
It was a sort of cream colour, like the Tusk of an elephant, and had light brown scales on its stomach along with brown ridges on its head it also had crimson eyes with fairly long eyelashes, which gave it a feminine feel to it.
The dragon then proceeded to clear it’s throat and began to speak.
“Hi Dorothy, it’s me Toto” he, or should I say she said sheepishly; kicking the imaginary dirt on the ground with her feet.
Dorothy stared for a moment at the dragon shocked and completely flustered as she began to hyperventilate, the last thing the pigtailed woman could recall was the bed sheets getting closer to her eyes before everything went black.
