//-------------------------------------------------------// Conspiracy -by Arcanebolt32- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude Draft and dusty, the hall of Desmir was assortedly aligned with the caskets of my deceased ancestors. Water fell from the ceiling, for the perimeters of the area were under the Quen Lake Reservoir. Each drop made an ominous echo throughout the breadth of the floor, and I am holding onto the mere threshold of my sanity, the tunnels just went on, and on, and on, with no end, am I just going in a circle? I finish these words onto my journal and continue downwards.  Ancient encrypted symbols lie among the mossy walls and pillars.  My chilled breathe echoes throughout the underground.  Nopony else was around. The deeper I went, the longer the halls went, I keep thinking of going back, but I make myself go on. I feel as though I might regret what I find, but maybe what lies in the deepest parts of these catacombs, will make it all worthwhile. Pushing through the floor's door it's another staircase, but these went down farther than normal.  My intuition tells me to go back, my curiosity grasps me forward. Approaching the door that was on the verge of the stairs, there was then rumbling throughout the area, and the rocks gave away from above... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapiter Un - A Frantic Flight //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapiter Un - A Frantic Flight I wake up in darkness, I couldn't find my flashlight, and the ground was very wet.  I couldn't find a way back up, I don't know how long I've been down here, it feels like I've been wandering around for hours.  I gave up, and felt around for a wall.  I slumped down and waited for death's call, when suddenly, I triggered something, I fell backwards, and tumbled, and tumbled, and tumbled.  I came to a stop with my head spinning, then there was another hall, but at the end, there was a light, I thought to myself, did I finally found it? The rumbling of the plane, it was an unforgiving sound, continuous, nagging, it prevents me from resting, like it knew about my plans for revenge, which were thoroughly thought out.  My coming victim, and "former" friend, Robinsworth, sleeps across the seat from me, sleeping like a infant, looking innocent as a flower in a meadow, but who knows of what weeds may grow in that meadow, what weeds that will turn up and betray you when you're back is turned. I could not stop rubbing my hooves together, my guiltiness was easy to be seen, but my cunning will cut through the ray of suspicion in you.  Robinsworth woke up, and said, "Everything in the closet?" that was his favorite alternative phrase to "Everything all right?".  He had many replacing phrases to uncommon perceps, like "Bagged!" which meant, "Got it!", or "See you in a tick", which meant, "See you in an hour". thump, thump, thump, thump... My heart started beating faster. "Yes, everything is fine, for what have I to worry about?" I replied.  Robins looked at me strangely, to prevent him from asking questions, I instinctively thought of calling the one of Kitchen Attendants said, "It's about that time for dinner...  Waiter!  To service with you!"  Clapping my hooves together to catch one of them.  Robins's rolled his eyes and sat up, and prepared to order. thump... thump...  It slowed down... It was half past 7 Sun-fall when the co-pilot said on the intercom, "We will be arriving in Ravenstead in approximately thirty minutes, please be ready to return to your seats when we obtain clearance to land." I am still having the querulous nervous reaction when Robinsworth sat up and asked something I hope he never would, "There seems to be something bothering you Cather, would you care to tell me?" thump, thump, thump, thump... It sped up faster as a warning "N-nothing's wrong, my dear friend, it's j-just..." I said, trying to think of something to say, "I've always been scared of flying, even if I frequently travel via planes to judge all the Culinary's best cooks competitions" Robinsworth just hmpfed and laid back in his seat again.  Nearly saving myself from making him suspicious of me, we waited for the rest of the flight to progress. Time came to land, and Robins was well into sleep when we met with the ground, I nudged his shoulder next to me, and he started to stir.  "We are landing, Robins."  I stiffly said, "Grab your carry-on and let's head for the limousine".
