Meltdown in Ponyville

A couple minutes after arriving back in Ponyville Twilight and her friends arrived at Sugarcube Corner. So she would not be seen, Twilight and Spike were led in through the back where they were greeted by the Cakes. Mrs. Cake saw her and asked, "Hello your Majesty? How was your trip home?"

Twilight smiled and replied, "You don't have to call me your Majesty Mrs. Cake! Just call me Twilight like you always have, and the trip home was alright."

Mrs. Cake saw Twilight's mane and tail and asked, "Are you sure? You look like you have been through a war."

Twilight replied, "Oh I'm just nervous about having to give this speech. I know I have given speeches before but with me being royalty now it is just different."

Mrs. Cake handed Twilight a cupcake and said, "Here you go Twilight, this ought to calm you down."

Mr. Cake walked into the room, bowed to Twilight and asked, "How's Equestria's newest princess doing?"

Like she did with Mrs. Cake, she let Mr. Cake know that he did not need to bow to her or refer to her as your Majesty. Spike saw the cupcake that Twilight was eating and asked, "Mrs. Cake, do I get a cupcake?"

Mrs. Cake replied, "Of course you do! It is just getting done." Mrs. Cake pulled the newest batch of cupcakes out of the oven and gave the hungry dragon a cupcake covered in fire rubies and sapphires.

Spike got a huge smile on his face and replied, "Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Cake! You're so generous!"

Mr. Cake replied, "It is our pleasure. You and Twilight are good friends and I know those are your favorite gems."

Despite Twilight eating the cupcake her mane and tail were still a mess. Rarity shook her head and said, "Twilight, let me brush you, you can't go out there looking like that!"

Twilight stood there, still nervous while Rarity tried to fix her mane and tail but it was tough because just as soon as Rarity would get it straight it would get messy all over again.

Rarity said in a stern voice, "Twilight, calm down. If you stay nervous like this you will look horrible and you don't want everypony in town to see you like this, do you?"

Twilight replied, "I'm sorry Rarity, I can't help it."

Rainbow Dash said, "Twilight, you gave your speech perfectly fine up there in Canterlot with that entire city looking at you."

Twilight replied, "Well that was different. That wasn't in front of a crowd in which everypony knows me and besides, I had Celestia by my side to help me if something went wrong."

Fluttershy asked, "Twilight, what is it with you and Celestia all of a sudden. It seems like since we got on the train home she has been in your thoughts a whole lot more than she used to be and you were so clingy to her before we left."

Applejack added, "Fluttershy makes a good point there Twilight. It seems almost like you feel lost without her when you have been here for three years without her."

Twilight snapped, "Well for those three years I was just an ordinary pony, I wasn't an instant celebrity and nopony expected me to be perfect either."

There was silence for about five minutes until the time for Twilight to give her speech had come. Rainbow said, "Come on everypony, let's get out there so we can have a great view of Twilight giving her speech."

Everypony headed out to where they could see Twilight leaving just her and Spike inside. Twilight asked, "Spike, what if I mess up? What if I get really nervous and start stuttering? What if they see that I'm not perfect and they run me out of Ponyville?"

Spike replied, "Come on Twilight, that isn't going to happen! Even if you don't give the perfect speech everypony will understand that you are just nervous. Come on Twilight, it is time!"

Spike headed out to the stage and jumped on the ground. Twilight followed him out onto the stage and saw a huge crowd had gathered to see her. She got a nervous look on her face and said, "Uh, hi everypony."

Everypony shouted, "WE LOVE YOU PRINCESS TWILIGHT!"

Twilight replied, "I love all of you too. I do want you all to know that you can just call me Twilight like you always have. It just doesn't feel right being addressed as royalty."

This caused the crowd to erupt into a cheer. They realized that their new princess was still the same humble, down to earth pony that she has always been. Rarity shouted, "Twilight, why aren't you wearing your crown? You need to show everypony how regal you look in it!"

Twilight had a nervous look on her face as she headed back in to put on her crown. She walked back out onto stage wearing her crown and the crowd began to cheer loudly. Twilight suddenly felt very uncomfortable with the crowd adoring her so much. She was thinking of how she could finish this early.

Rarity asked the crowd, "Doesn't Twilight look simply divine in her crown?"

Amethyst replied, "You look awesome Twilight."

Twilight responded, "Thanks Amethyst."

Twilight could not handle the stress of being on stage anymore. She decided she would fake a coughing fit to get out of this. She began to cough and Amethyst asked, "Twilight, are you ok?"

Twilight replied, "No, I'm not ok. I'm sorry, I have to go."

Still coughing, Twilight teleported herself off of the stage and into the library where she locked the door. She broke down crying, "Oh why did I have to come back? I can't do this. I can't do all these public speeches, I can't handle everypony expecting me to be perfect, I just want Celestia to be here to hold me."

Back at Sugarcube Corner Applejack got up on stage and spoke to a very concerned crowd. She said, "Don't y'all worry everypony. Twilight just got a case of the coughs, I'm sure she is ok. We're going to go check on her."

Twilight's friends headed over to the library and could hear Twilight in there crying and shouting that she doesn't think she can handle this. Spike tried to open to door but Twilight had locked it. Spike asked, "Twilight, are you ok?"

Twilight shouted, "No, I'm not ok. Just please go away, I need some time alone."

Spike asked, "Do you want me to stay away too?"

Twilight yelled, "YES, JUST PLEASE, I NEED SOME ALONE TIME!"

Spike asked, "Since she's locked me out, where am I going to sleep tonight?"

Applejack replied, "Don't you worry Spike, you can sleep at the farm tonight."

Everypony headed home while Twilight continued to cry in the library. She felt so alone, so helpless and desired so much that she could be with Celestia.

Sweet Confessions

In the library Twilight was laying on her bed crying wishing so much that she could see Celestia. A few minutes later she heard a knock on her door. Twilight shouted, "Go away! I don't want to talk to anypony!"

Celestia replied, "Twilight, it's Celestia. I need to talk to you."

Twilight's ears perked up, she bolted to the door, opened it and saw it was Celestia. She hugged Celestia and said, "Hurry Celestia, please come in before anypony sees you here."

Celestia went in while Twilight closed and locked the door. Twilight ran to Celestia and hugged her tightly. Both of them began to cry tears of joy as they embraced. Twilight asked, "Celestia, how did you know I needed you? How did you know I was distressed?"

Celestia smiled and replied, "Twilight, I just had a feeling. Besides, it is a matter of me needing you too. I shed a few tears even after you disappeared from my sight to the train station."

Twilight held onto Celestia tighter and asked, "Really? I missed you as soon as we left." Twilight paused for a minute and continued, "Celestia, can I tell you something and you won't think I'm awful?"

Celestia knew that what her former student had to say was serious since she asked that way. She sat down to where she was at eye level with Twilight and replied, "Twilight, I could never think you are awful."

Twilight was very nervous but she looked deep into Celestia's eyes and said, "Celestia, I love you. I truly love you. I have loved you ever since I matured into a full grown mare. I remember how I always felt so loved when you would put your wing around me when you would be with me up in the archives."

Celestia's eyes began to water and she got a smile on her face. She began to cry and replied, "I love you too Twily! I have loved you for so long. Ever since you matured I have always wanted to be with you, I've always wanted to hold you and whenever you were with me, I felt complete."

Twilight looked into Celestia's eyes, moved in closer and gave her a passionate kiss. They both began to cry and hold one another close realizing that they could have been together a long time ago. Celestia asked, "Twilight, how long have you had these feelings for me?"

Twilight replied, "Since before I came here to Ponyville."

Celestia pulled Twilight closer and asked, "Twilight, why were you insistent on staying here in Ponyville after you reunited me with Princess Luna?"

Twilight's eyes began to water more and she replied, "I will admit I wanted to be here with my friends since I never knew what friendship was but also it was because I didn't know how much longer I could contain myself or my desire to be with you."

Celestia asked, "What do you mean?"

Twilight replied, "I remember that once I fell in love with you in the middle of the night I would start heading towards your room almost every night. I would get halfway towards your room and then I would turn back because I was scared you would expel me if I came in your room. The night before you sent me to Ponyville I got all the way to the entrance of your bedroom. I saw you sleeping, so peacefully. I desired so much to crawl into bed with you and wrap myself under your wing."

Celestia asked, "Twily, do you think we could continue this conversation up in your bedroom?"

Twilight replied, "Of course we can Celly!"

They headed up to Twilight's bedroom and sat on her bed. Celestia pulled Twilight close to her and said, "Twily, I had the same desires. I remember how on most nights I would walk to your room. I would look in and see you sleeping so peacefully. Sometimes I would stand there for ten minutes or more and just watch you sleep."

Twilight looked up at Celestia and asked, "Really?"

Celestia looked deep into Twilight's eyes and replied, "Yes Twilight, I did. On so many nights I wanted to just take you to my room and hold you close but I was so afraid that you would hate me for it, leave the school and spread word of what I did."

Twilight gave Celestia a gentle kiss and replied, "Celestia, I never would have done anything like that."

Twilight laid down and pulled Celestia on top of her. Celestia started to cry and said, "Twily, I wish I could just stay with you forever. Luna is so mad at me."

Twilight gave Celestia a long, deep kiss and asked, "Why is Luna so mad at you?"

Celestia started to cry, "She is mad because I stayed up all night last night looking at a picture of you. She is mad because I was too fatigued to raise the sun this morning and she had to raise it for me. She is mad because I came to see you. She just doesn't understand."

Twilight began to run her hooves through Celestia's long flowing mane and began to massage her back. She could see her facial expression going from one of stress to one of bliss. Twilight replied, "Celly, I don't think Luna will ever understand. She has a different personality and a different mindset."

Celestia was so at peace with Twilight massaging her and then something ran through her mind. She realized that when she got back home that she would have to face Luna's wrath. She pulled Twilight closer to her and asked, "Twily, do you think I could spend the night with you? I just don't want to have to go back and face Luna today."

Twilight replied, "Of course you can Celly! I truly wish you could stay with me forever but one night for now will be better than nothing."

Celestia yelled, "Thank you Twily! I love you so much!"

Twilight put her hoof over Celestia's lips and said, "Celestia, we have to keep it down. We don't want anypony bugging us. This is our time."

Celestia replied, "You are right Twily. We just need to keep quiet so we can hug and kiss undisturbed."

Celestia wanted her and Twilight to just lay there and hug and kiss all day and all night. Celestia pressed herself down on Twilight and began to massage the inside of her mouth with her tongue. She could sense Twilight's pleasure when she began to run her tongue into her mouth. Celestia pulled up momentarily and asked, "Twily, I take it you like this?"

Twilight with a dreamy look in her eyes replied, "I don't like it, I love it! I wish we could do this forever."

Celestia smiled and replied, "Don't worry Twily, some day we will."

Before returning to their make out session Twilight asked, "Celly, do you know of a spell that could make me the size of Cadence so you don't have to sit down to be at eye level with me?"

Celestia smiled and replied, "I will have to look in the archives. Why do you only want to be the size of Cadence, why not Luna or even myself?"

Twilight replied, "I just do. It is just what feels right. I have always wanted to be quite submissive to you and I think that if I am the size of Cadence I can be."

Celestia said, "Alright Twilight, I will do that and I do like the idea of you being submissive to me. I have always desired for when we are together for me to dominate you."

Twilight and Celestia both smiled and returned to kissing as they realized that their dreams were finally being realized.

The Missing Princess

As Celestia and Twilight continued to kiss nearly non-stop the day transitioned into the evening and in Canterlot Luna was not exactly thrilled. She realized that chances are she would not only be doing both royal duties for that evening but tomorrow morning as well.

Flash Sentry could sense that Luna was angry. He asked, "Your Majesty, what do you plan on doing with Celestia when she gets home?"

Luna replied, "Well I'm not sure but one thing is for sure. She is not going to like having to put up with me when she gets back." Luna gave him a serious look and asked, "Could you go do me a favor and bring Celestia home?"

Flash asked, "Yeah sure but where is she?"

Luna replied, "Go check the library in Ponyville. I believe she is there. If she isn't there go check all of Twilight's other friends' places."

Flash replied in return, "Yes your Majesty."

Flash took off towards the library in Ponyville. When he arrived it looked like nopony was home but he knocked on the door anyway. Inside Twilight and Celestia heard the knocking and Twilight became scared. She asked, "Celly, what if it is Luna coming to take you away from me?"

Celestia replied, "She couldn't force me to leave you Twily. I'll go look through the window and see who it is."

Celestia pulled back the shade just a little bit and saw that it was Flash Sentry. She headed back over to Twilight and said, "Twilight, it is Flash Sentry."

Flash continued to knock and he was shouting, "Celestia, it's me Flash. Luna is wondering where you are because before too long it will be time to lower the sun."

Twilight was clinging to Celestia almost in a way to protect her. After ten more minutes of knocking he gave up and headed over to Sweet Apple Acres to see if she was there. When he arrived he was greeted by Applejack. Applejack asked, "Howdy, who are you and what brings you 'round these parts?"

Flash replied, "Well I am Flash Sentry, a member of the royal guard and Celestia has been missing since this morning. Luna has sent me out to find her, do you know where she is?"

Applejack replied, "I haven't seen Celestia since yesterday."

Flash asked, "What about Twilight, have you seen her?"

Applejack replied, "Not since last night when she shut herself in the library."

Flash said, "Well thanks, hopefully I can find her before too long because the sun has to be lowered in less than an hour."

With that Flash headed back to Canterlot knowing Luna was not going to be pleased. When he arrived he headed to the throne room where he was greeted by Luna. Luna had a scowl on her face and asked, "Flash, where is my sister? Where is Celestia?"

Flash had a nervous look on his face and replied, "Well I don't know. I knocked on the library's door for twenty minutes and shouted asking if she was in there and there was no answer so I headed over to the apple farm."

Luna asked, "Oh and I take it they haven't seen her either?"

Flash replied, "Nope, they haven't. After asking them I came home because I didn't think any of her other friends would know where she is either."

Luna shouted, "WHAT? JUST BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY DIDN'T. WELL I WILL HAVE TO DO HER DUTY TONIGHT AND PROBABLY TOMORROW MORNING AS WELL."

After an hour had passed Luna headed out to the courtyard and was getting ready to lower the sun. Flash ran to her and asked, "Your Majesty, that isn't your job. Isn't that Celestia's job?"

Luna glared at Flash and sneered, "Well if the pretty princess were here to do her job it would be but she isn't so it is my job. Who knows where she is and we can't have the sun up for too long unless we want to fry Equestria now do we?"

Flash realized Luna was right when he heard this. After Luna did both royal duties she headed into the throne room to have a snack before her and Gray Wings headed out for their patrol. As they were leaving Flash asked, "Your Majesty, what am I supposed to do if Celestia returns while you are gone?"

Luna replied, "Get her to her room and make sure she gets some sleep. I will deal with her when I get back or whenever she gets home, whichever happens first."

Luna paused for a minute and continued, "You know what Flash, you have been up all day. You get some rest. I will have Yellow Eyes hold down the fort. Tell him what I want done regarding my sister if she gets home."

"Yes Your Majesty." replied Flash

While Luna was angry with her sister she was also concerned. She felt herself torn between rage and extreme concern and she began to harbor hatred toward Twilight for what she was doing to her sister.

Luna's Wrath

A long night passed and a fatigued Luna and Gray Wings returned to Canterlot. Flash Sentry greeted Luna at the balcony. He could see she was very tired and asked, "Wow your Majesty, you look really tired. I take it you had a long night in the Everfree Forest?"

Luna replied, "Yes, we did. I ran into a few manticores, all of which needed to be put in their place and I ran into some of Twilight Sparkle's modified parasprites. Those things tried to eat my crown and tried to eat Gray Wings' armor. I wound up frying them with my energy."

Gray Wings added, "The manticores were bad enough but those parasprites seemed to be worse."

Flash interrupted, "Oh come on, those parasprites couldn't have been that bad."

Luna replied, "Oh so you think they couldn't have been that bad? Tell you what, how about you go out with me on my patrol tonight and I will take you to where they are. When the ones that I didn't kill swarm and begin to attack, I will teleport out of there and you can see what a royal pain they are."

Flash boasted, "Alright, you've got yourself a deal! I can handle parasprites without any problems!"

Luna said, "Look guys, I need to go lower the moon and raise the sun. Hopefully Celestia will get her flank home today."

While Luna was lowering the moon and raising the sun, Celestia and Twilight were just getting up. The sun shone in through the window and Twilight asked Celestia, "Celly, how is the sun coming up without you there to raise it?"

Celestia gave Twilight a gentle kiss and said, "Luna raised it yesterday and she is raising it again today. I have a feeling that she is enjoying this so now I don't think I will have to worry about her wrath so much."

Twilight replied, "Well I still think you better go back today. Besides, that will give you a chance to find a spell to make me more the size of Cadence."

Twilight and Celestia sat down to one more breakfast before she had to return to Canterlot. After eating Twilight was clinging to Celestia as she headed towards the door. Twilight asked, "Celly, please promise me that you will be back soon. I can't live without you. Please, will you promise me you will be back soon?"

Celestia got down at eye level with Twilight, she gave her a long passionate kiss. She then replied, "I promise you Twily, I will be back soon. Besides, I have plans for us when I come back again."

Twilight started jumping up and down and asked, "Celly, will we be able to shut ourselves in here for a week and it will be just you and me?"

Celesita replied, "Oh it will be something much bigger than that Twily. I want you to be surprised but let's just say that you will love it!"

Celestia gave Twilight one more long kiss before heading out the door and heading back to Canterlot. In Canterlot Luna, Gray Wings and Flash Sentry were in the dining hall eating breakfast. Gray Wings asked, "So Princess Luna, what are your plans after breakfast?"

Luna replied, "Well I plan on getting some sleep. After all the things we encountered in the forest last night I think both of us should get some rest."

Flash asked, "But your Majesty, I thought you were going to go look for Princess........."

Before Flash could finish his sentence Celestia came running into the dining hall. Before she could say anything Luna confronted her. Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white as she shouted, "PRINCESS CELESTIA, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN AND WHY DID YOU NEGLECT YOUR ROYAL DUTIES?"

Celestia just brushed her off and headed off to her room but Luna got in her way. She was going to get an answer. With her eyes still shining white she shouted, "ANSWER ME BIG SISTER!"

Celestia broke down crying and said, "Listen little sister, this is something that you could never understand."

Luna got up in her face and growled, "Look Celestia, all that matters is that you were unable to do your royal duty yesterday morning and you were missing last night and this morning. You and Twilight could have had a little sleep over and kissed all night long and that wouldn't be the big issue. The big issue is that I had to do YOUR royal duties."

Celestia got a stunned look on her face and cried, "MY TWILY, I MISS MY TWILY!"

Luna picked up Celestia with her magic and shouted, "Oh, so you were with 'your Twily' weren't you? What were you two doing, making plans to remove me from the throne?"

Celestia finally broke free from Luna's grasp and ran to her room crying, "My Twily, I miss my Twily, I need my Twily!"

Flash Sentry headed to go comfort Celestia but Luna got in his way. She growled, "Not another step Flash. Gray Wings will deal with her. I am going to get some rest. Since Twilight's LITTLE SLAVE is home now I can get some rest. Do not disturb me unless we are under siege."

Gray Wings headed into Celestia's room and stood there shaking his head when he saw Celestia completely covered up with her blankets sobbing. Celestia could sense somepony was there. She asked, "Who's there and what do you want? I just want to be alone right now."

Gray Wings replied, "Your Majesty, you really need to pull yourself together. Luna can't run the show alone."

Celestia peeked her head out from under her covers and said, "I don't want to talk to you. You are on HER side. You probably think I am pathetic like she does. JUST GO!"

As Gray Wings was leaving her room Celestia got up to look for her picture of Twilight but noticed it was gone. She cried louder, "MY PICTURE OF MY TWILY! WHERE IS MY PIC OF TWILY?"

Flash Sentry rushed past Gray Wings and headed in there. Celestia sobbed, "Flash Sentry, what happened to my picture of Twily?"

Flash Sentry replied, "Well you see, Luna kind of made me get it out of here so when you got home you would sleep instead of stare at it."

Celestia picked Flash up and went into a rage. She shouted, "YOU TOOK ORDERS FROM HER? Where is my picture of Twily? You give me my picture of Twily or you're going to the moon!"

Celestia set Flash down and he ran up to the archives, got the picture of Twilight and took it back to Celestia. When Celestia saw him coming she ripped the picture out of his wings and hugged it. She started crying, "My Twily, My sweet Twily! I need my Twily, I want my Twily! I have to have my Twily!"

Luna heard her cries and stormed into Celestia's room. Luna saw Celestia crying clinging to the picture of Twilight. Luna shouted, "BIG SISTER, WHAT THE HAY IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A LOVESICK TEENAGER!"

Celestia looked up at her sister and whined, "But I don't think you understand little sister, I want my Twily, I love my Twily, I need my Twily."

Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white again. She began to mock Celestia's cries, "oohh I want my Twily, I love my Twily, I need my Twily because if I don't have my Twily I might just die! WAAAAH!" Luna glared at her and continued, "Look, Gray Wings and I ran into a few manticores last night in the forest and I can't sleep with you whining and crying like this. Look, if you must cry and whine, do it quietly while the rational thinking princess gets her sleep."

Flash Sentry went over to comfort Celestia. She grabbed a hold of him and asked, "Flash, why is Luna so mean? How could she not understand my agonizing sadness?"

Flash replied, "It is just part of who Luna is. You are right about one thing, I don't think she will ever understand how you are feeling. The only ponies she ever grows close to are her royal guard members and she loves them like they are her children. With the way she treats them I know she understands maternal love but I don't think she knows anything about romantic love."

Celestia got up and looked Flash in the eyes. She asked, "You know that I love Twilight?"

Flash replied, "Yes your Majesty and I know she loves you too. I only removed the picture of Twilight from in here because I was scared that Luna might banish me to the sun if I didn't."

Celestia hugged Flash and said, "I am glad you understand Flash. Right now I feel like you and Twily are the only ponies I can trust."

Flash replied, "Thanks for the trust your Majesty. Don't worry, not a word of this will get to Luna. I better get going, I don't want Gray Wings to interrogate me and then have Luna yell at me later."

Celestia said, "Yeah and I probably better get out to the throne room. I don't feel like getting yelled at again."

Celestia headed out to the throne room hoping to restore some normalcy to her life but she just couldn't get Twilight out of her mind. She had tears rolling down her face and she continued to sob quietly about her Twily.

The Unfriending of Twilight Sparkle

A couple hours after Celestia left Twilight finally decided to leave the library. She felt like she needed some air after confining herself to the library for a couple of days. Spike and Applejack were at the farm when they saw Twilight wandering around aimlessly. Spike ran up to her and hugged her. He asked, "Twilight, are you ok? Why did you shut yourself in the library for so long?"

Twilight shoved Spike back and shouted, "DON'T TOUCH ME! ONLY CELESTIA IS ALLOWED TO TOUCH ME!"

Applejack said, "Twilight, that isn't any way to treat Spike." Applejack paused for a minute and asked, "Wait a minute, did you just say Celestia is the only one allowed to touch you?"

Twilight snapped, "Yes! She is the only one allowed to touch me."

Applejack asked, "Now why the hay is she the only one who can touch you?"

Twilight rolled her eyes and yelled, "It is nopony's business except for mine and Celestia's."

Rarity heard all of Twilight's yelling and ran over to her. She asked, "Twilight, why are you yelling at Applejack and my Spikey-Wikey?"

Twilight gave Rarity a death look and growled, "You can keep your precious Spikey-Wikey and I am yelling because they are interrogating me."

Spike began to tear up and asked, "What do you mean Rarity can keep her precious Spikey-Wikey?"

Twilight snapped, "Just what I mean. You can go live with Rarity since you love her so much."

Applejack interrupted, "What the hay has got into you Twilight? It seems like ever since we got back from Canterlot you have been filled with anger."

Twilight replied, "Does it matter? I have every right to be angry."

Applejack asked, "Twilight, we're headed over to Sugarcube Corner. Want to come?"

Twilight had absolutely no desire to go with them but decided she would humor them. She replied, "Sure, why not. Maybe a snack will make me feel better."

When they arrived everypony was there waiting for her. Twilight saw this and got a sense of dread within her. Fluttershy asked, "Twilight, are you ok? We have been so worried about you."

Twilight growled, "I'm here aren't I? I'm fine."

Rainbow asked, "Twilight, where have you been? We thought maybe something bad had happened to you."

Twilight was getting very angry. She stomped her hoof and shouted, "I'm fine. It doesn't matter where I was and since I am here quit harassing me with all the questions. Just drop it already."

Pinkie saw how agitated Twilight was getting and decided that the atmosphere in there needed to be changed so she asked Twilight if she would want a doughnut with extra sprinkles, which is exactly how she likes them. Twilight gladly accepted Pinkie's offer and started to get in a better mood right away.

Pinkie asked, "So Twilight, how is your doughnut?"

Twilight had already finished it and was hoping for more. She was finally happy and said, "It was delicious Pinkie! Do you think I could have another one?"

Pinkie replied, "Of course you can! You can have as many as you want."

Pinkie put a whole plate of doughnuts in front of Twilight and she began to devour them, after a few minutes they were all gone and Twilight was in the best mood she had been in since before the coronation. Finally Applejack decided that it would be safe to try to get some information from her.

Applejack asked, "So Twilight, did Flash ever find Celestia?"

Twilight went from being in a cheerful mood back into a sour mood. She growled, "What? Flash was trying to find my Celly? He was trying to take my Celly away from me?"

Applejack replied, "Well he stood over by the library knocking on the door and shouting for around twenty minutes yesterday. Finally he gave up and came over to ask me if I had seen either one of you. He said that Luna needed her up in Canterlot to lower the sun."

Twilight went into a rage. She shouted, "WHAT, LUNA SENT FLASH TO TRY AND TAKE MY CELLY AWAY FROM ME? CURSE THEM, CURSE BOTH OF THEM! NOPONY WILL TAKE MY CELLY AWAY FROM ME, EVER!"

Twilight started kicking holes in the wall screaming and yelling. Finally Pinkie had to escort her out before she did too much damage. Twilight screamed a few obscenities at her friends and ran off to the library where she shut herself in.

Her friends looked at one another in shock as they had never seen Twilight like that before. Even Spike, who has seen Twilight very angry, had never seen her like this before. Spike asked, "What do you think is up with her? She seems to be obsessed with Princess Celestia and she goes into a rage thinking that Luna sent Flash Sentry to try to steal Celestia from her."

Fluttershy replied, "I don't know what is up with her but I have a feeling the Cakes will never allow her in here again after causing so much damage."

Applejack added, "I reckon not. I'll tell y'all what, I'm awful worried about her."

Rarity said, "Me too. I wonder if maybe she wasn't ready to be a princess. She couldn't even handle that one informal public appearance."

Spike asked, "Do you think we should go check on her sometime?"

Rainbow replied, "I do. Let's get going."

Twilight's friends headed over towards the library and as they got close enough they could hear her screaming but crying at the same time. When they got there they could tell that she was upstairs. Fluttershy asked, "I know this might be wrong but do you think Rainbow and I should peek in through that open curtain."

Rainbow replied, "I don't think it is awful and let's fly up there and see what's going on."

While Fluttershy and Rainbow flew up to peak in the window Twilight was sobbing and screaming. "I HATE THEM, I TRULY HATE THEM! I WISH THEY WOULD JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, THEM AND THEIR PRYING EYES!" She then grabbed her picture of Celestia and started sobbing, "Please Celestia, please come rescue me from them. Please just come take me away and marry me! Please Celly, please!"

Fluttershy and Rainbow's jaws dropped open when they flew back down to their friends. Rainbow said, "Uh, I think Twilight is having a complete and absolute meltdown."

Spike asked, "Why do you say that?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well she was up there screaming and crying. She was screaming something about hating them, wanting them to just leave her alone and said something about prying eyes."

Rainbow added, "Yeah and then she was looking at a picture of Princess Celestia, started crying harder and was begging Celestia to come rescue her from them, whoever them is and asked her to come take her away and marry her."

Pinkie asked, "Do you think she means that she hates us?"

Rarity replied, "Well I don't know but we're going to find out. Spike, I'm unlocking that door and I want you to go in. She might be less likely to yell at you."

Rarity unlocked the door and motioned for Spike to go in. Spike opened the door and headed in. He could hear Twilight crying uncontrollably upstairs. Twilight saw him and went into a rage. She shouted, "HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?"

Twilight fired several bolts of energy at Spike, striking him each time. She threw him into one of the bookcases burying him in books. She continued to shout, "LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID SPIKE! CLEAN IT UP, NOW!"

The rest of Twilight's friends rushed in. Rarity jumped in front of Spike as Twilight was ready to fire another bolt. She shouted, "Twilight, what has got into you? How could you do that to my Spikey-Wikey?"

Twilight screamed, "YOU'RE ALL SPIES FOR LUNA AREN'T YOU? YOU WANT TO TAKE MY CELLY AWAY FROM ME! WELL THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!"

Twilight started screaming obscenities at her friends and began firing energy at them, striking all of them. Finally Rarity was able to fire back and knocked Twilight to the floor. Twilight was laying there with six angry friends surrounding her. She wasn't thinking very clearly after taking a direct hit by Rarity. She started to sob, "Why must you spy on me for Luna. Why can't you just accept that I love Celestia and want to marry her?"

Twilight finally came to her senses and screamed, "YOU BACKSTABBERS. GET OUT OF HERE, NOW! I HATE ALL OF YOU!"

Fluttershy shouted, "YOU KNOW WHAT TWILIGHT? I'M NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS ANYMORE. YOU'RE NO LONGER MY FRIEND."

The rest of Twilight's friends agreed with Fluttershy and ended their friendships with Twilight. Twilight chased them out of the library firing energy at them. Just as Rarity was leaving Twilight fired one final powerful bolt of energy at her, throwing her well outside the library and left a burn mark on her left flank. Twilight slammed the door, locked it and began to scream, kick and yell.

Applejack asked, "Do y'all think she will ever return to normal?"

Spike was crying because the friend he had since birth hated him. He cried, "Why did this happen? She was my very first friend, almost like a mother to me and now she hates me. What am I going to do?"

Applejack replied, "Don't you worry Spike. You can stay over on the farm with me."

Fluttershy got a scowl on her face and asked, "Why are all of you so concerned about her? After the way she treated us, I don't care if I ever see her again." Fluttershy raised her voice and continued, "I WILL NOT LET MYSELF BE TREATED LIKE DIRT."

Everypony looked at Fluttershy in shock. Rainbow said, "Wow Fluttershy. I saw how mad you were at her in there but you are dead serious on not wanting to see her ever again aren't you?"

Fluttershy replied, "I am serious. I don't like being treated like that and after this, even if she does return to normal, I will never trust her again and neither should any of you."

Applejack said, "Well Fluttershy does make a good point. Come on everypony, let's go back to Sugarcube Corner. I think some more snacks will make us all feel better."

While they headed back for more snacks Twilight was in the library screaming, yelling, crying and kicking holes in the wall. Finally she broke down sobbing uncontrollably realizing that the only one who cared about her had not come back yet. She cried louder and louder, "Please Celestia, I need you more than ever now. Please come take me away to eternal happiness!"

Stress in Canterlot Castle

Late afternoon had arrived in Canterlot and Luna was just waking up. She headed to the throne room and saw Celestia was still looking down. Flash Sentry had a concerned look on his face and said, "Princess Luna, she hasn't said a word to me ever since you went to lay down and she has been sobbing quietly all day long."

Luna walked over to Celestia and noticed she was just staring off into space. She waved her hoof in front of her face and got no response. She shouted, "SNAP OUT OF IT BIG SISTER!"

This caused Celestia to fly straight into the ceiling and fall back down into the floor. Celestia looked terrified. She asked, "Little sister, why must you yell at me like that? You know it scares me."

Luna replied, "Look big sister, I'm concerned about you. You have been neglecting your royal duties, you just stare off into space and you are obsessed with Princess Twilight. Right now if we were to be attacked I doubt you would even be alert enough to know that we were under attack much less know what to do."

Celestia started to sob, "Big sister, I don't think you understand what I am going through. Do you even know what kind of thoughts are running through my mind?"

Luna sneered, "I probably don't and I don't think I want to, it would probably give me night terrors."

Flash Sentry interrupted, "But you sleep during the day your Majesty."

Luna sighed, "Ok, day terrors!"

Very soon it was time for Celestia and Luna to do their royal duties. Celestia walked out to the upper courtyard in a daze. Luna notice this and asked, "Big sister, do you think you will be able to do this without dropping the sun below the horizon too quickly?"

Celestia snapped, "Why wouldn't I be able to? I know you think you are super princess now but that doesn't make you better than me."

Celestia faced the west and began to lower the sun. She was incredibly tired and she lost focus for a second causing the sun to drop below the horizon too quickly. Flash asked, "Your Majesty, are you ok? Normally you are so good at this."

Celestia replied, "Yeah I'm ok. I'm just tired."

Luna glared at Celestia before facing the east and raising the moon. She asked, "Celestia, I thought you said you could do this just fine. You need to rest big sister because you just can't keep going on like this."

Celestia snapped, "I'm sorry little sister, I thought I could."

Celestia ran inside crying loudly. Flash looked at Luna and asked, "Your Majesty, I am really beginning to wonder what is going on with her. Do you think she is having a complete meltdown?"

Luna replied, "Yes, I do think she is having a meltdown and I honestly believe that her obsession with Twilight has 100% to do with this."

Luna and Flash headed in to the throne room where they were greeted by Gray Wings, who just woke up and Celestia, who had her head hung low and had tears streaming down her face. Gray Wings asked, "Your Majesty, what is wrong?"

Celestia sobbed, "I don't want to talk to you. You could never understand what I'm going through. You're just like Luna, cold, heartless and by the book."

Luna walked over to her older sister and growled, "Look big sister. Just because I do things by the book does not mean that I am cold and heartless. I know I may seem mean right now but I am worried about you big sister. I am worried you are on the verge of a complete meltdown."

Celestia screamed, "I AM NOT HAVING A MELTDOWN! I'M JUST DISTRAUGHT BECAUSE I MISS MY TWILY!"

Luna's eyes began to glow white, she raised her voice and replied, "Big sister, you were just with her this morning. You didn't see that much of her for three years for crying out loud. Suddenly she becomes a princess and you act like you can't even exist without her."

Luna looked over at Flash and continued, "Look Celestia, Flash and I are going out on a patrol of the Everfree Forest tonight. Gray Wings will be holding down the fort and hopefully making sure you get some sleep."

Flash had a shocked look on his face. He asked, "What? Why would I be going with you on the patrol? Don't I get a chance to get some sleep?"

Luna smiled and replied, "If I remember correctly when Gray Wings and I returned this morning and told you about those modified Parasprites that Twilight Sparkle created you claimed that they could not have been that bad. I also remember you agreeing to come with me tonight and show me your parasprite handling abilities."

Celestia heard Twilight's name and shouted, "MY TWILY, MY SWEET BELOVED TWILY!"

Luna grunted at her and continued, "And tonight hot shot, you are going to prove to me how good you are at handling parasprites that can eat anything."

Flash got a nervous look on his face. Gray Wings looked at him and said, "You know Flash, you really should keep to your word."

Luna added, "Yes Flash you should. Come on, let's get going. Gray Wings, make sure my sister gets some sleep so she can at least raise the sun tomorrow morning."

Gray Wings replied, "Of course your Majesty."

While Luna and Flash headed towards the Everfree Forest Gray Wings said, "Come on your Majesty, you really need to get some sleep."

Celestia glared at him and growled, "Who are you to tell me what to do? If I want to stay awake I will do so."

Gray Wings replied, "Look, do you like having Luna yell at you? Do you like the stressful mood in here? I for one do not so at least try to get some sleep. It will benefit ALL OF US."

Celestia realized that Gray Wings was right. She was tired of getting yelled at and realized that she needed to be able to do her royal duties. She said, "I'm sorry for yelling Gray Wings. You are right and I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like all the stress. Good night."

Gray Wings replied, "Good night your Majesty. You sleep tight."

Author's Note

Royal rule 1.11.106a: I, Queen Galaxia, mother of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, do command, it shall be the royal duty of Celestia to raise and lower the sun and for Luna to raise and lower the moon. Ok, on to rule 1.11.106b, while there are times that a princess can not do her royal duties, such as in times of illness, times of banishment or times of being gone on official business, the other princess shall handle both duties. On to 1.11.106c, however, if a princess is gone on unofficial business and fails to do her royal duties for fourteen (14) consecutive days, on the morning of the fifteenth (15th) day when the other princess does the absent one's duty, she shall declare the absent one has abdicated the throne and she shall declare herself Queen. On to 1.11.106d, the new Queen is to transform two (2) unicorns into Alicorns and make them princesses. On to 1.11.106e. She is to take control of both royal guards and if the absent one returns, the royal guards are to greet her with spears and forbid her to return. On to 1.11.106f, the new queen is to banish the one who abdicated to a place of her choosing."

The Night Patrols

As Flash and Luna approach the forest, Flash begins to get a nervous look on his face. Luna notices this and asked, "What is the nervous look for Flash? You're a member of the royal guard. The Everfree Forest shouldn't scare you!"

Flash replied, "It isn't the forest your Majesty. I am really worried about Celestia. I don't know how much longer she can go on like this. She is barely getting any sleep and her obsession with Twilight Sparkle is getting kind of creepy."

Luna smiled and asked, "So I'm not the only one who thinks that?"

Flash started to go on a rant. He replied, "No, you're not. I am very quickly coming to the conclusion that Celestia is unfit to rule. I honestly wish she would do something that would cause her to be booted out and you could become queen. At least you don't let your emotions cloud your judgement and that is what makes for a great leader."

Luna picked up Flash, hugged him and replied, "FINALLY! Somepony other than my royal guard who knows what makes a great leader!" Luna set him down and continued, "I'm glad you think that way Flash but that doesn't get you out of dealing with those parasprites!"

Luna and Flash continued until they reached the darkest part of the forest. Flash asked, "Your Majesty, how do you even see in this part of the forest? I can hardly see anything."

Luna replied, "I am the Princess of the Night so I can see very well in dim light." Off in the distance Luna saw a cloud approaching them. She knew what it was so she took off up into the canopy of the forest.

Flash heard this but couldn't see Luna. He asked, "Princess Luna, where are you?"

Suddenly Flash started screaming and yelling as the parasprites attacked and began to eat his armor. He was shouting, "Luna, you did this on purpose! Help, please kill them!"

Luna swooped down and started frying the parasprites. A few got away but the rest were incinerated. Before Luna stood a shocked Flash Sentry. Luna began to snicker and asked, "Flash, what happened to your alleged parasprite handling abilities?"

Flash realized that all of his armor had been eaten. He replied sarcastically, "Oh very funny your Majesty!"

Luna said, "Let's get back to the castle. I do want to relax for a while before it is time to lower the moon."

While they were heading back to the castle Celestia was in her room trying to figure out what she was going to do. She knew Gray Wings was standing guard at her door yet she wanted so badly to escape and fly to Ponyville. Suddenly a thought came to her mind. She said to herself, "That's it! I can fly out the window!"

While Celestia was opening the window Yellow Eyes was circling the castle watching for anything unusual. He heard something, stopped and was looking around trying to see what it was. After seeing nothing he resumed his patrol over the castle. Celestia did not know he was out there and escaped her room.

While she was still over the castle she was shouting in glee, "I'm free! My sweet beloved Twily, I'm on my way to make you my wife! Goodbye Canterlot, I'm going to be gone for over a month, WOO-HOO!"

Yellow Eyes heard this and realized that this information had to be relayed to Princess Luna. He initially thought about going after her but after doing a bit of thinking he decided to just let her go. He thought maybe her absence would be in Luna's best interests.

Fifteen minutes passed when Luna and Flash returned to Canterlot. Gray Wings greeted them out in the upper courtyard. As soon as Gray Wings saw them he began to laugh. He asked, "Hey Flash, what happened to your armor?"

Flash laughed a bit himself and replied, "Oh ha-ha Gray wings." He brushed a few branches off of himself and continued, "Ok, so Luna was right about Twilight's parasprites."

Luna looked at Gray Wings and asked, "Gray Wings, speaking of Twilight, has Celestia tried to escape and go see her?"

Gray Wings replied, "Nope. She has been sleeping soundly since not too long after you two left. Maybe she realized that doing her royal duties is important after all."

Yellow Eyes saw them down on the courtyard, flew down and landed. He said, "Your Majesty, I have something very important I need to tell you."

Luna had a concerned look on her face and asked, "What is it Yellow Eyes?"

Yellow Eyes replied, "Well I don't know how she did it but your sister got out of her room and flew off towards Ponyville."

Luna became very angry. She shouted, "GRAY WINGS, YOU SAID SHE WAS SOUND ASLEEP! HOW DID SHE GET PAST YOU?"

Before Gray Wings could reply Yellow Eyes interrupted, "Your Majesty, I think she escaped out her window. Anyways, while she was flying away she was yelling about how she is free, how she was going to make Twilight her wife and how she was going to be gone for over a month."

Luna's anger quickly calmed down and she asked, "Seriously? She is going to be gone for over a month?"

Yellow Eyes replied, "Well that's what she was shouting about and given that she thought she was alone, I'm sure she was speaking the truth."

Flash interrupted, "Your Majesty, is there any kind of ancient laws regarding what she is doing and abdicating the throne."

Luna got a huge smile on her face and said, "I'm not sure but if she hasn't returned in a few days, I think the four of us ought to go into the archives and check this out! Let's go in and have a snack, I'm in a very good mood right now."

While Celestia was happy as a lark knowing that soon she would be with her Twily again Luna was ecstatic realizing that perhaps Celestia's actions could lead to her becoming Queen Luna, the sole leader of Equestria.

Return to Ponyville

In Ponyville Twilight was tossing and turning. She felt like she had lost everything. She lost all her friends, most everypony in town thinks of her as an uppity jerk and even though she left not that long ago, she feels like Celestia will never return. Around one in the morning Twilight heard knocking on her door. She shouted, "WHO DARES DISTURB ME AT THIS HOUR."

Twilight heard Celestia's gentle voice and she rushed down to the door, unlocked it and opened it. There stood Celestia with a huge smile on her face. She said, "I told you I would be back soon Twily!"

Twily started to cry tears of joy. Celestia hurried in, Twilight locked the door and barricaded it. Celestia asked, "Twily, why are you barricading the door."

Twilight clung close to Celestia and continued to cry. She said, "Celly, today Rarity unlocked my door and they all came in to make sure I was ok. Well things happened and I no longer have any friends."

Celestia pulled Twilight closer to her and asked, "Why is that Twily?"

Twily looked into her eyes and cried, "Because I know they are spies for Luna and don't want us to be together. So I told them that I hate them because they were spying on me."

Celestia carried Twilight up to her bedroom, laid on top of her and said, "It's ok Twily. I'm here now so you are safe and sound."

Celestia gave Twilight a long deep kiss and they held each other tighter and cried tears of joy. Twilight asked, "Celestia, what is that big thing you were talking about?"

Celestia replied, "We will talk about that in the morning after I make you bigger. For now let's just hold each other close and realize that we are safe from all those who have been mean to us."

Several hours later the sun woke them up. Twilight gazed into Celestia's eyes and asked, "Do you think you could make me bigger now so when we lay together I'm not so tiny compared to you?"

Celestia replied, "Of course I can. I still think that if you were the size of Luna things would be better. You would still be smaller than me but it would make things much easier on both of us for the physical affection part of our love."

Twilight asked, "Celly, would you still be able to lay on top of me and dominate me easily?"

Celestia replied, "Of course I will be able to Twily!"

Celestia led Twilight downstairs and asked, "Twily sweetie, are you ready?"

Twilight replied, "Of course I am!"

Twilight stood still in anticipation as Celestia began to glow a gentle white. Her horn began to glow as she recited, "The small one wishes they were tall so that they won't have to crawl, with height their future is bright and everything will be alright, for the small one is small no more, with height their happiness shall be galore."

Celestia's gentle energy began to encircle Twilight, causing her to grow until she was the size of Princess Luna. After her growth was complete she ran to Celestia and hugged her. She said, "Thank you Celly, thank you!"

Celestia replied, "You're welcome my sweet love. I would move mountains for you, that is how much I truly love you."

Twilight asked, "Now back to what I asked you, when are we going to do what you said would be so much bigger than simply shutting ourselves in here?"

Celestia replied, "We will in a few days. I know Luna will be doing nightly patrols circling the castle watching for us to fly off to where I am taking us."

Twilight was getting very excited but also was getting so curious she could hardly stand it. She asked, "Celly, where are we going?"

Celestia replied, "I'll give you a hint." Celestia pulled Twilight close to her, looked deep into her eyes and asked, "Twily, will you marry me?"

Twilight started jumping up and down saying, "YES, YES, YES, YES! Yes I'll marry you Celly!"

Celestia asked, "Do you know where I want us to go now?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, we're going to Las Pegasus to get married! Oh I'm so happy!"

Celestia took Twilight back upstairs and laid on top of the larger Twilight. She said, "You see Twily, I can still lay on top of you and dominate you easily."

Twilight pulled Celestia down to her and began to kiss her passionately. She was now big enough she could wrap her wings around Celestia and lock her legs around Celestia's. Twilight asked, "Celly, when do you want us to leave? I'm so excited for us to get married!"

Celestia replied, "You already asked me that earlier and I have decided that three nights from now will be the best time for us to leave."

Twilight asked, "Why the middle of the night Celly?"

Celestia replied, "Because nopony here in Ponyville will see us and chances are nopony in Canterlot will be able to see us either."

Twilight nodded while Celestia tightened her embrace and control over her. With the exception of meals and using the restroom, Twilight and Celestia laid in bed making one another the happiest ponies alive until they were ready to take off for Las Pegasus.

Luna's Discovery

Three days had passed and the sun was setting in Ponyville. Twilight and Celestia were sitting down to a larger than normal supper. Celestia said, "Twily, be sure you eat plenty because it is not a short flight to Las Pegasus."

Twilight replied, "I know Celly. Oh I'm so excited! I have dreamed about this since I still lived in Canterlot!"

A few hours passed and Celestia said, "Well Twily, the time for us to go make our dreams become a reality has come. Let's go my love, I want to be far away from here before the sun rises."

An excited Twilight gave Celestia a long deep kiss before she locked up the library and took off towards the southwest. They flew close together because the idea of being too far apart scared both of them. While they did this Luna was out doing a patrol of areas south of Canterlot. She saw a couple of Alicorns flying not too far away. She looked harder and saw that it was Celestia and Twilight so she headed back to the throne room hoping that they did not see her watching them.

When she returned she was greeted by Gray Wings. He could tell that she was ecstatic. She started shouting, "They've left for Las Pegasus Gray Wings!"

Gray Wings ran up to Luna and hugged her. He asked, "That is wonderful news your Majesty! What do we do now?"

Luna replied, "We head up to the archives and search through the old books regarding royal issues that my mom wrote so many thousands of years ago."

They headed up to the archives and began to search through all of the old books her mom had written. An hour had passed and Luna was getting frustrated. She threw her hooves up in the air and said, "Nothing, I'm finding nothing."

A book fell in front of Gray Wings and had opened up to a page regarding royal duties. He saw this and said, "Your Majesty, this book fell in front of me and opened up to pages regarding royal duties."

Luna asked, "Really?" Luna then levitated the book to her and started to read it. She got a huge smile on her face and said, "Gray Wings, this is exactly what I was looking for!"

Luna was reading the book and ran into a paragraph of laws her mom created for her and her sister. It read, "Royal rule 1.11.106a: I, Queen Galaxia, mother of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, do command, it shall be the royal duty of Celestia to raise and lower the sun and for Luna to raise and lower the moon. Rule 1.11.106b, while there are times that a princess can not do her royal duties, such as in times of illness, times of banishment or times of being gone on official business, the other princess shall handle both duties. Rule 1.11.106c, however, if a princess is gone on unofficial business and fails to do her royal duties for fourteen (14) consecutive days, on the morning of the fifteenth (15th) day when the other princess does the absent one's duty, she shall declare the absent one has abdicated the throne and she shall declare herself Queen. Rule 1.11.106d, the new Queen is to transform two (2) unicorns into Alicorns and make them princesses. Rule 1.11.106e. She is to take control of both royal guards and if the absent one returns, the royal guards are to greet her with spears and forbid her to return. Rule 1.11.106f, the new queen is to banish the one who abdicated to a place of her choosing."

Luna started jumping up and down and said excitedly, "Gray Wings, read this!"

Gray Wings began to read it and he began to smile. He asked, "Your Majesty, how long has your sister been gone?"

Luna replied, "Tomorrow morning shall be the fourth morning of her absence. Let's discuss this more in the morning when everypony is awake."

A few hours passed and Luna was doing the royal duties of both her's and her sister's. The morning sun woke up Flash Sentry. He headed into the dining hall and was greeted by an abnormally happy Luna along with Gray Wings and Yellow Eyes. He asked, "Your Majesty, I have never seen you with that kind of smile on your face. What is going on?"

Luna replied, "We shall discuss that after breakfast. Let's just say that Gray Wings and I found some very important information in the archives overnight."

After breakfast Luna led them into the throne room. She was levitating the book that Gray Wings found. She opened it to the pages where the laws were located. She said, "Take a look at these pages and what they say. Once you read them you will know why I am so happy."

The book was passed between the royal guard members and they all were very happy with what they saw. Flash Sentry asked, "Your Majesty, is this the fourth morning she has been gone?"

Luna replied, "It has been. We just need my sister to be gone for eleven more mornings."

Flash replied excitedly, "And then you will be Queen Luna!"

Luna said, "That's right." She paused for a second and asked, "Flash, how did my sister get messages to Twilight?"

Flash replied, "Ok, she would write the messages on these scrolls over here. She would then blow on them and they would appear to burn up. Shortly after that the dragon would cough the scroll up. When she replied, Twilight would write the reply on the exact same type of scrolls, which she had no shortage of in the library, he would blow on it and then the reply would appear out of nothing in front of her."

Luna replied, "Ok, I need to get a message to them. Flash, could you get me one of those scrolls? I need to get a message to Twilight's friends."

Flash replied, "Yes your Majesty."

Luna wrote on the scroll, "Spike, I need you to round up all of Twilight's friends along with Colgate and Lyra Heartstrings and come up to Canterlot as soon as possible. Please send me a reply before leaving Ponyville. Sincerely, Princess Luna."

After finishing the message she blew on it and was on it's way. In Ponyville Spike was with Rarity in her boutique when suddenly "BELCH" Spike coughed up a message. Rarity noticed this and she said, "Finally, a message from Princess Celestia. Maybe she knows why Twilight has turned so mean."

Spike opened up the scroll and he looked stunned. Rarity asked, "Spike, what's wrong? That scroll isn't notifying us of Twilight's death is it?"

Spike replied, "No. This is from Princess Luna. She wants me to round up all of Twilight's friends, Lyra and Colgate and for all of us to get up to Canterlot as soon as possible."

Rarity said, "I think everypony else is at Sugarcube Corner, let's go."

Spike and Rarity knew that they had better hurry up and get everyone up to Canterlot as Luna isn't as patient as Celestia. Spike had an awful feeling in his gut that something had happened to Twilight. Even though she had treated him like dirt ever since she was crowned as a princess, he still cared about her.

Arrival in Las Pegasus

After nine hours of flying Celestia and Twilight finally saw a city on the horizon. Twilight was so tired she didn't know how much longer she could go. She looked over at Celestia and asked, "Celly, what is that on the horizon?"

Celestia replied, "It is Las Pegasus. It is just a little further."

The remaining two miles of their flight seemed to take forever to Twilight. Finally they flew into the center of town in front of the hotel they would be staying at. While Celestia landed effortlessly Twilight crashed into the ground and needed Celestia to help her get up. Celestia said, "Twilight, this big hotel is where we will be staying, I know the owner."

Twilight smiled and they headed into the lobby and saw the clerk sitting there reading the newspaper. Celestia said, "Excuse me, but we would like to rent a room."

The clerk got up and asked, "Who are you and how would long do you wish to stay?"

Celestia replied, "I am Princess Celestia and this is Princess Twilight Sparkle and we would like to stay for a month."

The clerk glared at her and said, "I'm sorry, but the longest any guest, regardless of who they are, can only stay a week."

Celestia picked the clerk up and growled, "Did you not hear who I am? I am PRINCESS CELESTIA. I want to speak to Flower Mane, NOW!"

Celestia sat the clerk down and he headed back to get Flower Mane. When she came out she ran to Celestia, hugged her and said, "Princess Celestia! It is so good to see you your Majesty!"

Celestia smiled and replied, "Flower Mane, we're friends! You don't have to address me that way!"

Flower Mane asked, "Is my clerk giving you problems?"

Celestia replied, "Yes, he is. He said that the longest my fiancee and I can stay is a week."

Flower Mane said, "Oh don't listen to him." She looked over at Twilight and asked, "So who is the lucky mare who will be marrying my wonderful friend."

Twilight smiled and replied, "I am Princess Twilight Sparkle. Celestia used to be my teacher but after many years we finally told each other about our true feelings and now she is going to make me the happiest pony in the world."

Flower Mane hugged her and said, "Oh you bet she will." Flower Mane motioned for them to follow her upstairs. She said, "Come on you two, let me lead you up to your room."

Celestia and Twilight followed Flower Mane up to their room and were amazed by what they saw. It was the most luxurious and spacious hotel room in all of Equestria. Twilight, despite being very tired, got excited and said, "Wow, this is amazing! I have never seen anything like it!"

Flower Mane smiled when she saw how excited Twilight was. She said, "Don't worry you two, I will fix the books and make sure you two can stay here for however long you want."

Celestia put her wing around Flower Mane and asked, "Seriously?"

Flower Mane replied, "Of course! I would do anything I could for you Celestia." She gave both of them a smile and said, "You two enjoy your stay and remember, room service is just a call away!"

Flower Mane closed their door and headed back downstairs. Twilight ran up to Celestia, gave her a big wet kiss and said, "Wow Celly, this is amazing!"

Celestia asked, "I know it is my sweet Twily. Do you think we could lay down and get some sleep. I know you are tired and I am tired too."

Twilight and Celestia shut the lights off, got under the covers and engaged in a loving embrace. Very quickly they had fallen asleep. They would not wake up until the following morning with as tiring that their long flight was.

The next morning arrived and Celestia was woken up by Twilight's kisses. Celestia smiled and said, "Good morning Twily. It looks like you are well rested."

Twilight replied, "Yes I am. I am so excited. Are we going to go get married today?"

Celestia replied, "Twily, you must still be a little tired. It is Saturday and the courthouse won't be open until Monday."

Celestia could see a bit of sadness in Twilight's eyes so she pulled her close, rolled on top of her and gave her a long passionate kiss. She said, "Twily, I know you want to get married as soon as possible but despite us being princesses, we can't force them to open especially for us! It will be ok, besides, we will have the whole weekend and I do want us to go do something special."

Twilight asked, "What is that?"

Celestia replied, "You'll find out after breakfast. I'm calling room service."

After they ate breakfast Twilight and Celestia headed out into town to do a little shopping. They headed into the finest jewelry store in Las Pegasus. The clerk was amazed when she saw them come in. She bowed to them and asked, "Princess Celestia! How are you doing your Majesty?"

Princess Celestia looked stunned for a minute. She looked closer and then remembered the clerk. She flew to the other side of the counter, hugged her and replied, "Gold Ring! How could I have not noticed you?"

Gold Ring replied, "Don't worry about it. It happens to the best of us." Gold Ring looked up at Twilight and asked, "Your Majesty, who is this with you?"

Celestia flew back over to Twilight, put her wing around her and replied, "This is Princess Twilight Sparkle. She is my fiancee."

Gold Ring smiled at Twilight and replied, "Wow your Majesty, you have to be the luckiest mare in the world. Celestia is a true keeper!"

Twilight gave Celestia a gentle kiss and replied, "I know she is. She is everything I could ever have wanted in a pony!"

Gold Ring asked, "I take it you two are in here looking for horn rings?"

Celestia replied, "Yes we are! We don't know what size of rings we will need though."

Gold Ring walked over to them and said, "Well I can take care of that!"

Gold Ring spent fifteen minutes getting an exact measurement on both of their horns. She did not want there to be even one problem with their rings not fitting. She said, "Wow, I never thought I would be measuring Alicorn horns. Luckily I have rings that will fit horns with larger circumferences."

Gold Ring led them over to the rings that would fit their horns. Surprisingly, she had more rings than what Celestia expected. They were looking at them and Twilight saw one she really liked. Gold Ring could tell which one it was. She took it out of the case and showed it to them. Celestia levitated the ring onto Twilight's horn and it fit perfectly. Celestia asked, "Twily, is that the one you really like?"

Twilight replied, "It is so wonderful and it fits perfectly!"

Celestia said, "Well my love, then that is the one I will get for you."

They then started to look for one for Celestia. Celestia finally found one, a rather large one that she really liked. Gold Ring took that one out of the case, and like Celestia did, Twilight levitated it up onto Celestia's horn. It fit her perfectly. Twilight asked, "Celly sweetie, is that the one you like?"

Celestia replied, "It is Twily. It is perfect, but nothing is more perfect than you!"

Celestia gave Twilight a deep kiss and held her close. Gold Ring saw this and began to tear up. She said, "I have never seen a couple so much in love. Don't worry your Majesties, these are on me. Besides, royalty shouldn't have to pay for their horn rings!"

Celestia replied, "You can always send the bill to the Royal Bank of Equestria. They will compensate you for the rings."

Gold Ring said, "Oh don't worry you two. These are on me. I insist!"

Celestia gave Gold Ring one more hug and replied, "Thank you Gold Ring! You have a wonderful day!"

Gold Ring wished them well as they headed out the door. Everypony was froze in their tracks as they saw the two princesses walking down the street, wings around one another in their ring horns. One pony ran up to them and asked, "Wow, are you Princess Celestia? Are you getting married?"

Celestia replied, "Yes, I am. Now if you would excuse me my fiancee and I are trying to go grab a bite to eat."

The pony looked sad but let them go on their way. Very soon they were being chased by nearly a hundred ponies and Twilight was getting nervous. Twilight asked, "Celly, why are they chasing us?"

Celestia replied, "Because we are royalty. Let's hurry up and get to our room."

Twilight and Celestia ran into the hotel and headed up to their room. The crowd rushed into the hotel but was stopped by Flower Mane at the stairs. She said, "Look, you do not go harassing any of my guests. Once they get into the hotel they are not to be bothered."

The crowd sighed in disgust and left the hotel. When Celestia and Twilight got up to their room Celestia said, "You know Twily, I'm thinking that for except when we go to the courthouse, maybe we should just shut ourselves in here. Besides, the hotel does have great food."

Twilight was clinging to Celestia and replied, "I agree Celly. After that I just want to be held. I just want to feel safe."

Celestia took Twilight over to the bed, laid on top of her and began to massage the inside of her mouth with her tongue. With Twilight's moans of delight Celestia knew she was making Twilight feel safe. Twilight took her wings and held Celesita's head down so she couldn't pull her head back. Eventually Celestia did get her head up and she asked, "Wow Twily, you really like that, don't you?"

Twilight had a dreamy look in her eyes and replied, "Yes, I love it. I wish it could never stop."

Celestia said, "I know Twily but we can't just do that and nothing else forever! We do have to eat and use the restroom!"

Twilight and Celestia spent the rest of the weekend in perfect, romantic bliss. They were unaware of what was going on outside of their room and they didn't care. They had each other and that was all that mattered.

Arrival in Canterlot

In Ponyville Rarity and Spike headed over to Sugarcube Corner to let the rest of their friends know about Luna's request. When they got in there Pinkie saw them coming in and asked, "Hi Rarity, hi Spike, do you want a doughnut?"

Rarity said, "Yeah sure but we have to make this quick. We got a letter from Princess Luna that we need to get up to Canterlot as soon as possible. Now I don't know why, but Luna wants us to take Colgate and Lyra with us as well."

Applejack had a worried look on her face. She replied, "I wouldn't know either but with this being from Luna, I know this is serious. I don't think she has ever sent even one message and for her to be awake at this time of day, the situation must be dire."

Fluttershy asked, "You don't think something happened to Celestia or Twilight do you?"

Rainbow became impatient and was getting ready to head for the door. She said, "Come on you guys, let's go get Colgate and Lyra and get to Canterlot. Luna isn't the pony you want to keep waiting."

They ran out of Sugarcube Corner and headed to Colgate's office. Luck happened to be on their side that day as Lyra was there for a regular teeth cleaning. They headed in and were greeted by Colgate. She asked, "Hi guys, what brings you in today. Do all of you need to schedule an appointment?"

Spike replied, "Well no, we received a letter from Princess Luna and she really needs to see you and Lyra."

Colgate levitated the note over to her and Lyra. They read the message and Colgate replied, "Alright, as soon as I finish with Lyra's teeth I will close up shop and we will head up to Canterlot."

Fifteen minutes later they headed over in the direction of the library. Lyra asked, "Spike, why are we headed towards the library? We need to get to Canterlot."

Spike replied, "I need to get a message to Princess Luna and let her know we are on her way. There is a special type of paper that has to be used to send messages and Twilight is the only one who had it."

They arrived at the library and went in. It had an unusually creepy feeling in it. Rarity asked, "Is it just me or does it seem kind of creepy in here?"

Colgate asked, "Yeah, it does. I wonder if someone broke in here and ransacked the place?"

Lyra asked, "Why do you ask that?"

Colgate replied, "Well look at the place. There are books laying all over the place and there are holes that have been kicked in the walls."

Fluttershy said, "Oh those are probably from Twilight. The day she went ballistic and we unfriended her we heard her screaming, yelling and kicking in here."

Lyra laughed, "Maybe Twilight has been put in a padded cell and Luna needs us to go up there and testify against her for charges of vandalism!"

Rainbow replied, "I don't think this is the time to be making jokes." She looked at Spike and asked, "Are you going to send the message?"

Spike replied, "Yeah, give me a minute. I need to find her quills."

Spike found the scroll paper and quills. He wrote, "Dear Princess Luna, I have everyone rounded up and we are just about to head to the train station. We should be in Canterlot within the hour. We look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Spike."

Spike blew on the scroll and they headed to the train station. Luna was taking a short snooze in the throne room when the scroll appeared and fell in front of her. Flash Sentry woke her up and said, "Your Majesty, you have a message waiting for you."

Luna opened the scroll and read the message. She replied, "This is good news, they will be on their way and should be here within the hour. Go let the chefs know that we will need enough food for eight more."

"Yes your Majesty." replied Flash.

While Flash headed back to notify the chefs of the additional food that would be needed Luna took another short snooze so she would be alert for when her guests would arrive.

An hour later Spike and everypony else arrived in Canterlot and headed to the throne room. They saw Luna was snoozing so they decided to be quiet until she woke up. Flash greeted them and said, "Give me just a minute while I wake her up."

Flash went over and poked Luna. He said, "Your Majesty, your guests are here."

Luna suddenly became very alert and said, "Welcome everypony, it is so good to see you. Before we start talking about what I brought you up here for we should have some lunch."

Applejack replied, "Sounds good to me."

They ate a tasty lunch and then headed into the throne room where everypony stood at attention as Luna was ready to address them. Luna started, "I'm sure you are all wondering why I called you up here on such short notice."

Lyra asked, "Yeah we are and why did you need Colgate and I to come up here?"

Luna replied, "We can get to that later. First off, my sister and Twilight Sparkle have ran off, on an unexcused absence, to Las Pegasus. One of my guardsponies, Yellow Eyes, heard Celestia shouting something about marrying Twilight the night she sneaked out her window and flew off to Ponyville."

Rarity asked, "But what does that have to do with us?"

Luna replied, "We will discuss all of this later but for now I need you five along with Spike to go to the Crystal Empire and get Cadence and Shining Armor."

Fluttershy asked, "When do you want us to do this?"

Luna replied, "There is a train leaving for the Crystal Empire in fifteen minutes. I need the six of you to board it and go get the royals up there."

While Spike and his friends headed off to the train station Luna turned around to Colgate and Lyra. She said, "Ok, now I am going to let you two know why I needed you two here."

Luna showed them the old laws her mother had written and told them that they are the two unicorns that she wants to transform into Alicorn princesses.

Colgate got a stunned look on her face and said, "Oh no. Your sister wanted me to be an Alicorn princess after I wrote that painless root canal spell for her. She said I would have to move up here and I could no longer be a dentist."

Luna interrupted, "Colgate, my plan would be for you to remain in Ponyville and continue being a dentist." Luna looked over at Lyra and asked, "Lyra, what would you think about moving up here and handling daytime duties so I can continue to do my nighttime duties."

Lyra asked, "I would love that your majesty but when would you transform us?"

Luna replied, "After I raise the sun on the fifteenth morning of my sister's absence. From what I understand, she will be gone for much longer than that. What I want you two to do now is just hang around, relax and enjoy yourselves. I need you to be up here on the fifteenth morning."

Flash Sentry was listening to all of this and he asked, "Wow your Majesty, you're really wanting to be prepared for this aren't you?"

Luna replied, "Yes, I do. Flash, I need you to go on a long journey to pick up two extremely important ponies who must be present for this."

Flash asked, "Who are these ponies?"

Luna replied, "My parents, Queen Galaxia and King Cosmos. I need you to fly out to Faustica on Alicorn Island. It is no quick trip so I would advise you leave right away."

Flash asked, "Are there any places to grab some food along the way?"

Luna replied, "Yes. Right along our west coast there are plenty of bushes with juicy apples and there are fresh water lakes. When you get there I want you to stop, eat, drink and rest for the night. Then head on your way the following morning."

Flash said, "Alright your Majesty, I'm on my way."

Flash headed out to the upper courtyard, took off and headed west. Luna said to Colgate and Lyra, "I never imagined this situation would arrive, but if she is still gone when the time comes, I will no longer be Princess Luna, I will become Queen Luna."

Colgate replied, "Well with what your sister has been doing here lately, I think that would be the best thing that could ever happen to our great country."

Luna was very happy that the two unicorns she had hoof picked were on board with her. The next ten days would seem to crawl by for Luna. While she was a bit concerned about her sister, her desire to become the Queen of Equestria continued to grow.

Royal Roundup

Three hours had passed since Spike and Twilight's former friends finally arrived in the Crystal Empire. Despite having been there before they were all still amazed by the beauty of the city and the sparkly appearance of all the ponies. Applejack looked off towards the crystal tower and said, "Alright y'all, I know it is pretty here but we need to go and notify Cadence and Shining Armor of what has happened."

They ran towards the crystal tower and ran into Cadence right as she was leaving the tower. She saw them coming and got a huge smile on her face. She was getting ready to do the song her and Twilight had done since she was a filly but noticed that Twilight was there. Cadence had a concerned look on her face and asked, "Hi everypony, where is Twilight?"

Spike replied, "Well that is what we have come to talk to you about. Something odd is going on with her and Princess Celestia so Princess Luna sent us up to get you and Shining Armor."

Cadence motioned for them to follow her up into the tower. She said, "Whatever is going on, I have a bad feeling about it."

Cadence led them up to the dining hall where Shining Armor just so happened to be. Shining Armor saw them coming and asked, "Twily!.....Wait a minute, where is my sister?"

Applejack replied, "Well something is going on with her and Princess Celestia. As soon as we got back to Ponyville after Twilight's coronation she started acting, well, not like herself."

Shining Armor asked, "What do you mean she wasn't acting like herself?"

Spike replied, "Well this started even before we left for Ponyville. She seemed very clingy to Celestia, almost like she didn't want to go back. Once we did get back she was supposed to give a speech for everypony at Sugarcube Corner but faked a coughing fit in the middle of it, teleported herself into the library and locked herself in."

Shining Armor said, "What else is going on with her? I know that isn't the whole story."

Fluttershy continued, "It's not. We went to check on her and she told us all to go away, that she wanted alone time. She then shut herself in the library for a couple of days and when she finally came back out she seemed like she was in a daze."

Spike added, "Yeah when she came out finally I ran to her and gave her a hug because I was worried about her. She yelled at me and told me that Celestia was the only one who was allowed to touch her."

Shining Armor had a shocked look on his face. For quite some time he had a feeling that Twilight and Celestia were closer than just student and teacher but was afraid to say anything. He asked, "What happened after that?"

Rainbow Dash continued, "Well after that she screamed and yelled at us when we asked her about where she had been and if she was ok. Also, while she was shut in Celestia had apparently went missing so Princess Luna sent Flash Sentry out to look for her."

Applejack added, "Yeah I saw him knocking on the door to the library for twenty minutes but nopony answered. He then asked me if I had seen Celestia and I hadn't so he headed back up to Canterlot."

Cadence asked, "You don't think that Celestia was in the library with Twilight do you?"

Applejack replied, "Well at first I didn't think so. But after Twilight went off about Celestia being the only one allowed to touch her I began to wonder. What convinced me was her reaction when we were at Sugarcube Corner. I asked her if Flash had found her or Celestia since he was looking for her."

Rarity added, "When Applejack asked about that she went into a rage claiming that Luna sent Flash to try to take 'her Celly' away from her. And now both of them have been gone for over four days and that is why Luna sent us up here to get you guys so she can meet with you."

Shining Armor said, "Alright everypony, we need to get to Canterlot at once. This doesn't sound good."

Everypony followed Shining Armor to the train station and they headed back to Canterlot.

A day had passed and in Faustica, Queen Galaxia and King Cosmos were sitting out on their balcony when they saw a pegasus flying in from the east. They prepared to fire at the pony until he got close enough they could tell he was not an enemy. He crashed into their balcony as he was extremely tired from the long flight.

Queen Galaxia noticed that he was a member of the Canterlot royal guard. She asked, "What is your name and why are you here? Did something bad happen in Equestria?"

Flash replied, "I am Flash Sentry, a member of Celestia's royal guard. Princess Luna sent me here because Princess Celestia has gone missing and has been gone for five days on unofficial business."

Galaxia looked shocked. She asked, "Is there any reason as to why she has been gone for so long?"

Flash replied, "Well it is believed that she ran off with one of her former students and that she is going to marry her. Luna is concerned, not so much over her falling in love with one of her former students but because Celestia has not been present to do her royal duties."

Cosmos asked, "What do you think we should do?"

Galaxia, being the one who always takes the initiative, said, "We need to get to Canterlot at once."

Cosmos said, "But honey, poor Flash here is exhausted. We can't just leave now. He needs some rest."

Galaxia glared at her husband and said, "You can levitate him until he has enough strength to fly on his own. We can not delay our trip for any reason."

Cosmos replied, "Ok let's get going."

Cosmos picked up Flash and they headed off towards the east. With Galaxia and Cosmos being among the most ancient of all Alicorns, they had far more endurance than any other ponies known. A few hours later they arrived at the coast, not tired at all, and stopped to eat.

Galaxia asked, "Flash, so who is this former student that Celestia ran off with?"

Flash replied, "Her name is Twilight Sparkle. Princess Celestia transformed her into an Alicorn after she rewrote the spell of Starswirl the Bearded's that he couldn't get right."

Galaxia pounded her hoof into the ground. She shouted, "SHE TRANSFORMED A PONY SIMPLY FOR RE-WRITING A SPELL?"

Flash looked kind of nervous and asked, "I take it she wasn't supposed to do that?"

Galaxia continued, "No. You only transform a pony into an Alicorn if they write their own magic from scratch."

Cosmos asked, "Flash, do you know if Celestia was fairly close with this student?"

Flash replied, "Yes, they were very close. They were almost inseparable until Celestia allowed her to stay with her friends in Ponyville after she reunited Celestia with Luna."

Galaxia rolled her eyes and said, "Celestia always was the one to forge close bonds with other ponies." She looked off to the east and continued, "Well let's get going. I want to get to Canterlot before nightfall."

Flash finally had enough strength that he could fly on their own, which lessened the burden on Cosmos. Three hours later they arrived in Canterlot. When they landed in the upper courtyard they were greeted by Luna. Luna ran to them, hugged them and said, "Mom! Dad! It is so good to see you!"

Galaxia replied, "It is so good to see you too honey!"

Cosmos asked, "How is daddy's little filly?"

Luna replied, "Well, I've been better. This is the fifth day of Celestia's absence and she has not done any royal duties. Ever since her former student was crowned princess a week ago, she has only done her royal duty once. I'm very worried about her, this isn't like her."

Galaxia asked, "Are any of the other royals here?"

Luna replied, "Yes, Princess Cadence is here. Also, her husband, Shining Armor is here as are Princess Twilight Sparkle's former friends and her former assistant."

Galaxia asked, "Former? Why former?"

Luna replied, "We will get to that when all of us have a meeting. For right now, you three must be starving! Let's go in and get some food in our bellies!"

Galaxia wondered how Luna could focus on food when her sister had been missing for so long but once they got to the dining hall and saw the size of meal and the amount of company she had, she could understand why.

Important Information

After they finished supper and after Luna done her royal duties everypony gathered in the throne room for an important meeting. Luna stood before them and said, "Alright everypony, we have serious things going wrong regarding both my sister and Twilight Sparkle that must be addressed."

Galaxia asked, "Princess Luna, would you and Twilight's former friends please tell us everything you know?"

Luna replied, "Of course mom! That is what this meeting is all about."

Luna started, "Alright, I know some of you already know this but things began to get strange as soon as Twilight was crowned princess. Celestia suddenly became obsessed with Twilight and she began to act like she couldn't even live without her. I will admit, I thought it was kind of creepy."

Galaxia asked, "What sort of things would she do and say?"

Luna continued, "Well she suddenly started calling Twilight 'my Twily' and one night she stayed up all night long staring at a picture of Twilight. She was so tired the following morning that she was not even able to raise the sun. I had to do it for her."

Cosmos said, "Wow, this new princess seems to have quite a hold on her."

Luna added, "Yes, she does. Despite not being able to raise the sun that morning, Celestia still had plenty of energy to fly to Ponyville to see Twilight. She then did not return until the following day. Personally I think she spent the night with Twilight but I can't be sure."

All of Twilight's former friends realized that their suspicions were right. They then knew for sure that Twilight had something strange going on with Celestia with her saying that Celestia was the only one allowed to touch her and involving her anger over Flash looking for Celestia. Galaxia looked at Twilight's former friends and asked, "You six live in Ponyville and probably saw various things first hand, we would like to know what happened regarding both our daughter and this Twilight Sparkle."

Spike replied, "Alright, what Luna has said is true since we told her quite a bit about what has happened already."

Applejack added, "Also Your Majesty, after Twilight came out of the library once her and Celestia had their sleep over, she didn't seem right. She was screaming and yelling at us, she got mad at Spike who hugged her, she shouted something about Celestia being the only pony allowed to touch her."

Fluttershy continued, "Yeah and then she joined us for some snacks at Sugarcube Corner and when Applejack asked if Flash had found Celestia she went into a rage shouting something about Luna sending Flash to take 'her Celly' away from her. She then stormed back to the library. We went to go check on her and we heard her screaming, crying and kicking things from outside."

Cosmos shook his head and said, "Wow, this Twilight Sparkle sounds like a real hothead."

Rarity nodded her head and replied, "When she gets mad, she is. When we heard all the crying Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash flew up to the second floor window and looked in."

Rainbow added, "We saw her staring at a picture of Princess Celestia crying. She was saying something about how she hated them, probably meaning us, and was begging Celestia to come take her away and marry her."

Galaxia was very quickly becoming panicky. She had a fear that Twilight had complete and absolute control over her daughter and was using a victim mentality to manipulate her. She asked, "What happened next?"

Rarity continued, "Well we were concerned about her so I used my magic to unlock her door. We sent Spike in first because we believed she would be less likely to attack him. Unfortunately for Spike, we were wrong."

Galaxia looked at Spike and asked, "What did Twilight do to you?"

Spike replied, "Well she saw me, yelled at me, started firing energy beams at me then picked me up and threw me into a bookcase. After that she screamed and yelled demanding I clean it up."

Pinkie continued, "Yeah and then we all went in to try to get her to calm down and she only got madder, accused us of being spies for Luna and started striking us with her energy. That energy of her's really burns."

Fluttershy finished, "Finally Rarity was able to strike her back. After she yelled at us some more we all ended our friendships with her. Once we left we could hear her continue to scream, cry and kick holes in the wall."

Gray Wings was there and interrupted, "Wait a minute, it sounds like all this happened the day before Celestia sneaked out of her window in the middle of the night."

Luna continued, "I think it was. It was Yellow Eyes who told me about how Celestia was shouting something about going to be gone for over a month and marry Twilight. Three nights after I was given that information I saw those two flying off in the direction of Las Pegasus."

Galaxia's jaw dropped open. She looked at Luna and asked, "Luna, if she is gone for anything longer than two weeks you know what that means don't you?"

Luna replied, "Once I was studying in one of the old books you wrote and it said something about an unexcused absence longer than fourteen days resulting in abdication and the other becoming queen."

Galaxia replied, "That is true my daughter. If she has not returned by the fifteenth morning and you raise the sun for her, she will have legally abdicated the throne and you will become queen."

Luna smiled and replied, "I know." She then pointed her hoof over at Colgate and Lyra, who were remaining quiet throughout the meeting and said, "I also know that if this happens that I will need to transform two unicorns into Alicorns and make them princesses."

Galaxia has a sixth sense about which ponies would make good Alicorns and which ones wouldn't. She smiled at the two and said, "I can tell just by looking at you two that you will make great Alicorns." She then walked up to Colgate and asked, "There is something special about you. I can't quite put my hoof on it but I know you are special."

Colgate smiled and replied, "Well I don't know if I would say that Your Majesty. I'm just your average Time Lady who is also a dentist."

Lyra interrupted, "Colgate don't sell yourself short. Tell her about that spell you wrote."

Galaxia asked, "I knew there was something special about you! What kind of spell did you write?"

Colgate replied, "Well back when Twilight was just a unicorn Celestia came to town to visit. Her tooth started hurting really bad so Twilight brought her in for me to take a look at her."

Galaxia interrupted, "Wait a minute, Twilight got her to let you take a look at her. I am surprised she would even come within a hundred feet of your office, much less let you examine her."

Colgate continued, "Well I discovered that she needed a root canal. She would not let me do it unless I wrote a spell for a pain free root canal. I really wanted to get that taken care of so I did a lot of studying and was able to write the spell. It worked like a charm on her and all of my patients absolutely love it."

Galaxia said, "Well I am thinking I just found my new dentist. Since you can do that, despite you being an ocean away, I want to be a regular patient of mine."

Luna interrupted, "Mom, ok you know Colgate but the pony next to her is Lyra Heartstrings."

Galaxia walked over to her and said, "I can tell you have a very level head on your shoulders. I believe that Luna was right in picking you along with Colgate to be transformed into princesses."

Lyra replied, "Thank you your Majesty!"

Cosmos asked, "Well honey, what do we do now? I know you are the one who created all these rules regarding what Luna and Celestia's duties are and what happens in the event of abdication."

Galaxia replied, "Everypony here needs to stay here until Celestia returns, whether she is still a princess or whether Luna is queen. I hope that won't be a problem for any of you."

Everypony had no problems with staying there as long as Galaxia needed them. While Colgate was frustrated realizing that a lot of her patients would have to reschedule she knew that she had better stay, especially with Galaxia ordering it.

An Unexpected Delay

Monday morning arrived in Las Pegasus and the sun had just came up. Celestia was still asleep while Twilight was beginning to stir. Twilight knew it was Monday so she decided it was time to wake her fiancee up. She crawled on top of Celestia and began to kiss her. Celestia finally woke up and said, "Oh Twily, I know what day it is but let's just rest for a little while longer."

Twilight continued to kiss her and rub herself against her until Celestia finally decided to get up. She said, "Ok Twily, I'll call room service and after we eat we will go to the courthouse."

Twily smiled and replied, "I'm so happy Celly! I can't wait to be your wife!"

Celestia called room service and ordered a larger meal than normal for them. She wanted to make sure that they were fully focused for their big day. After eating Celestia asked, "Twily sweetie, are you ready for this?"

Twilight gave her a long, wet kiss and replied, "Of course I am Celly! Oh I'm so happy!"

Twilight and Celestia headed downstairs and were greeted by Flower Mane. She smiled at them and asked, "Is today the big day?"

Celestia pulled Twilight closer to her and replied, "Yep, it is! We are both so excited!"

Flower Mane said, "Well I will let you two get on your way. You two have a wonderful day."

Celestia nodded and they headed out the door and across the street. Again everypony saw them with their large horn rings on and rushed to them asking them questions and simply adoring them since they are Alicorn princesses. Finally Celestia was getting enraged and shouted, "LEAVE US ALONE! BACK OFF OR I'LL BANISH YOU TO THE MOON!"

When they heard her shout this they ran in terror. They knew better than to get in Celestia's way after that. They finally got over to the courthouse and found their way to the justice of the peace's office. They walked up to the window and he asked them "Hello, may I help you?"

Celestia replied, "Yes, you can. My fiancee and I would like to get married. Could you marry us?"

The justice of the peace, Silver Ring, replied, "Sure but you will need to fill out this paperwork and then submit to a blood test."

Twilight began to tear up and asked, "But why do we have to fill out paperwork and submit to a blood test. We love each other, isn't that enough?"

Celestia gave Twilight a gentle kiss and said, "Twily sweetie, it's ok. They just need us to fill out the paperwork so that our marriage will be legal and be on the books. Now why we have to submit to a blood test, I don't know."

Silver Ring replied, "It is an ancient law written by Queen Galaxia to make sure that ponies who are related do not marry."

Celestia shouted, "I am Princess Celestia and my fiancee is Princess Twilight Sparkle. We shouldn't have to submit to this ridiculous blood test."

Silver Ring replied, "I'm sorry your Majesty, I simply abide by the laws, I didn't write them."

Celestia growled, "Fine."

After filling out the paperwork and submitting their blood for testing Twilight asked, "So how long do you think it will take for us to get the results?"

Silver Ring replied, "It should take around five days because the lab has a lot of blood samples that need testing for various things."

Celestia picked Silver Ring up and shouted, "LOOK, I AM PRINCESS CELESTIA! YOU GET THAT EXPEDITED OR I WILL SEND YOU TO THE MOON!"

Silver Ring was terrified. He replied, "Ok, I'll get it expedited but it will still take three days."

Twilight sadly asked, "Is that the quickest you can do it? Can't you get it done sooner?"

Silver Ring replied, "I'm sorry, but that is the soonest I can get it done."

Celestia said, "Fine. We'll be back in three days."

Twilight and Celestia headed back towards their hotel and saw another crowd chasing after them. They were shouting, "Princess Celestia, we love you. We want your autograph! We want your picture!"

Celestia heard this and said, "Come on Twily, let's get back to our room."

Celestia and Twilight rushed into the hotel and up to their room. Celestia was, like always, irritated with the crowd and Twilight, like always, was a bit scared. She fell into Celestia's wings and began to cry, "Celly, what if they won't let us get married? What if they lie about our blood tests and claim we are related?"

Celestia began to stroke her wing through Twilight's mane and held her close. She replied, "Twily my love, I don't think they will do that!" She gave Twilight a smile and continued, "Come on Twily, let's do what you love so much."

Twilight and Celestia headed over to the bed, got under the covers and Celestia crawled on top of Twilight. She began to kiss her passionately and massaged the inside of her mouth with her tongue. Very quickly Twilight went from being sad and paranoid to being happy which made Celestia happy. The two mostly stayed in bed until the third day would arrive.

The Marriage of Princess Twilight Sparkle

Three days pass in Las Pegasus and again Celestia is woken up by Twilight's eager kisses. Celestia pulled her close and said, "Ok Twily, hopefully this will be the day we can be the happiest ponies on the face of the planet."

Twilight was in a slightly different mood this morning. She gave Celestia a dreamy look and replied, "I'm sure it will be Celly." Twilight gave Celestia a kiss and asked, "After that, what will we do?"

Celestia replied, "Well given how we are always mobbed everywhere we go, I am thinking we should just lay in bed for a month, focusing solely on each other before returning to Canterlot."

Twilight asked, "Do we really ever have to go back there? Can't we just stay here forever?"

Celestia replied, "I'm sorry Twily, but we do have to go back eventually. Enough of this negative talk. I'm going to call room service and then we will go and get married."

After eating breakfast Celestia and Twilight headed down stairs and were getting ready to leave the hotel when a whole mob of ponies were waiting for them at the door. This irritated Celestia greatly. She said, "Damn it, can't we go anywhere outside of the hotel without every pony in town trying to get our autographs or get their pictures taken with us?"

Twilight replied, "I am thinking maybe you will just have to fire some energy at them. That should scare them off."

Celestia smiled and said, "That should take care of the problem. Let's get over to the courthouse sweetie!"

They headed outside and were starting to get mobbed. Celestia fired a warning bolt into the sky but that did not scare any of them off. Finally she started firing bolts of energy at them and they began to run in terror. On Twilight's side, they started to rush her so she decided to fire energy at them as well. Not only did she knock them out of the way she burned them a bit as well. Celestia saw this she was shocked. She knew Twilight could get angry but Twilight had never got mad like that around her before.

Celestia smiled at Twilight and said, "Wow Twily, I've never seen you do that before!"

Twilight looked ahead and saw that everypony had ran away from them. She replied, "Come on Celly, let's get in there before more ponies decide to try to mob us."

Celestia nodded and they ran into the courthouse. They headed up to Silver Ring's office. He saw them coming and said, "Good news you two, your results just got back from the lab about ten minutes ago."

Celestia asked, "Well could you give us the results? We are both very eager to get married."

Silver Ring grabbed the folder that was just delivered to him. He looked inside, got a sad look on his face and said, "I am sorry you two, but you are third cousins. I can not allow you to get married."

Twilight heard this and started to cry uncontrollably. She cried, "That's a lie! I know we're not cousins."

Celestia growled, "You see what you did to my Twily? I believe you are lying. Let me see that!"

Silver Ring shouted, "LOOK, JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE GALAXIA'S DAUGHTER DOES NOT MAKE YOU EXEMPT TO THOSE LAWS! IT IS AGAINST REGULATIONS FOR YOU TO LOOK AT THOSE RESULTS!"

Celestia levitated the results to herself and asked, "Want to make a bet?"

Celestia began to look over the forms and noticed that they were not for the blood tests for her and Twilight. They were DNA tests to determine the guilt of two cousins charged with murder. This sent Celestia into a rage. She shouted, "YOU IMBECILE, THIS IS FOR A MURDER CASE. I OUGHT TO SEND YOU TO THE MOON RIGHT NOW! YOU FIND THE RIGHT RESULTS OR YOU'LL WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!"

Silver Ring sneered, "Hey genius, it's daytime. You couldn't send me to the moon right now."

Celestia smacked him across the room for that comment. She jumped over his desk and started going through all the folders herself. She was trying to hurry because Twilight continued to cry uncontrollably. She could not find it. Finally a new folder was delivered to Silver Mane's office. Celestia grabbed it and saw that it was the results. She hopped over the desk and showed it to Twilight. Twilight read it and her tears of sadness became tears of joy.

She pulled Celestia close to her and said, "We're not related, we can get married!"

Celestia replied, "Yes my sweet Twily, we can as soon as this idiot gets off his flank."

Silver Ring got up and replied, "The only reason I'm going to marry you is because you are Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight. Had anypony else done this they would be in jail."

Celestia grunted and said, "Just get over here and marry us. My Twily and I have some serious love making planned for this afternoon."

Silver Ring said, "Look, I don't think I need to know about your personal lives. Oh and we are going to need a witness."

He saw the janitor sweeping the floor and asked, "Clean Hooves, think you could be the witness for this marriage?"

Clean Hooves replied, "Yes sir."

Silver Ring continued, "Ok, we are gathered here to day to join these two ponies, Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight Sparkle in wedded matrimony. Before we continue, if anypony believes that these two should not get married, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Silver Ring, Twilight and Celestia looked back at Clean Hooves, who did not say a word.

Silver Ring asked, "Do you, Princess Celestia, vow to take this mare, Princess Twilight Sparkle as your lawfully wedded life, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer for all eternity?"

Celestia replied, "I do."

Silver Ring asked, "Do you, Princess Twilight Sparkle, vow to take this mare, Princess Celestia as your lawfully wedded life, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer for all eternity?"

Twilight replied, "I do."

Silver Ring finished, "By the power invested in me, the city of Las Pegasus and the Marejavi Province of Equestria, I now pronounce you mare and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Celestia pulled Twilight close to her and gave her a long, deep kiss. Celestia looked at Silver Ring and said, "I'm sorry to have been such a pain in the flank. I guess when something like this comes along you tend to get overly emotional."

Silver Ring replied, "Oh it is no problem your Majesty. I'm sorry for the way I reacted as well."

Twilight looked at Silver Ring and asked, "Wait a minute, you said your name is Silver Ring. Are you related to Gold Ring, the pony who owns the jewelry store?"

Silver Ring replied, "Actually yes I am. She is my sister."

Celestia said, "Wow what a small world we live in." Celestia could tell that Twilight was itching to get back to their room. She waved to Silver Ring and said, "You have a good day Silver Ring. Oh, and Clean Hooves, thank you for being our witness."

After that they left the courthouse and ran back to the hotel as quickly as possible. A few ponies saw them but had heard about what happened earlier, so they left them alone. When Twilight and Celestia got back to their room Twilight jumped on the bed and Celestia jumped on her.

Twilight looked dreamily into Celestia's eyes and said, "I'm so happy Celly! I just wish this could have happened as soon as I matured."

Celestia smiled and replied, "I wish it could have too my sweet Twily."

For the next month Twilight and Celestia remained shut in their hotel room only having contact with outside ponies when room service showed up. While both of them wished they could just stay in there forever, they knew that eventually their bliss would soon have to end, but for now they just enjoyed being together.

Final Preparations

Fourteen days had passed since Celestia began neglecting her royal duties. Luna had began going on with her normal activities as she had put the fact that she could become queen in the back of her mind. Galaxia on the other hand, had not. While Luna was taking a daytime nap Galaxia approached Pinkie. She asked, "Pinkie, I see you have three balloons as a cutie mark. Do you have a special talent involving parties?"

Pinkie replied, "You bet I do your Majesty! I'm the best party planner in all of Ponyville!"

Galaxia asked, "Pinkie, I need you to have a very special party ready for tomorrow morning. I want to make sure that when my daughter raises the sun it will be truly special. Would you be willing to make it special?"

Pinkie replied, "You bet I will. I won't have much time but my friends and I will make this the biggest party in the history of ever!"

Galaxia smiled and said, "I know you'll make us all proud." She looked over at Lyra and Colgate and asked, "Do you two think you could notify every citizen here in Canterlot that they are to be present for tomorrow morning's sunrise?"

Colgate replied, "Of course we can!"

Lyra asked, "Your Majesty, what if they say they don't want to get up that early or just don't want to come?"

Galaxia replied, "Tell them that this is an order from Queen Galaxia and King Cosmos and they will know to get their flanks over here."

Both nodded and headed out to notify the citizens of Canterlot while Pinkie and her friends were gathering everything that would be needed. Applejack saw Pinkie setting up the fireworks and asked, "Pinkie, how is anypony supposed to see the fireworks when it is daylight?"

Pinkie replied, "Well they will still be able to see them a bit but the exploding sounds are what will make it special! Besides, they are supposed to have all their attention focused on Queen Luna."

Rarity, who thought they were jumping the gun on setting things up asked, "Pinkie, she isn't queen yet and what if Celestia and Twilight return?" She began to get a bit panicky and continued, "If Celestia and Twilight return and see us setting up for Luna's coronation, they might banish us somewhere."

Fluttershy interrupted, "Well with as much as Queen Galaxia likes us, I don't think she would let either one of them do anything to us."

Rarity rolled her eyes and replied, "Well I suppose you are right, but still I do have my worries."

Late that afternoon Luna got up. She headed into the throne room and saw her parents there smiling. Luna asked, "What has you two in such a good mood?"

Cosmos replied, "Oh we're just happy to be here with you!"

Luna asked, "Aren't you even a little bit worried about Celestia?"

Galaxia replied, "Well yeah but if anything really bad would have happened to her I think we would know about it by now. Besides, it is almost supper time."

An hour later everypony had gathered in the dining hall except for Luna as she was busy lowering the sun and raising the moon. Before she got back in Galaxia looked at Pinkie and asked, "Is everything ready?"

Pinkie replied, "You bet they are your Majesty! This will be the best party ever!"

Galaxia replied, "Good." She then looked over at Colgate and Lyra. She asked, "Does everypony in the city know about this and will they be here?"

Colgate replied, "You bet they will your Majesty!"

Cosmos asked, "Everything is ready but how are we going to make sure we aren't seen when Luna goes to lower the moon and raise the sun? You know she has the best night vision of anypony out there."

Galaxia replied, "I have it all planned out. Luna is doing a longer patrol tonight than normal. By the time she gets back it will be time for her to raise the sun. All of us will be hidden enough that she won't see us."

Luna entered the dining hall and saw her mom discussing things with Lyra and Colgate. She was curious as to what they were talking about but didn't say anything. That night they had a meal much larger than normal. Luna asked, "Who ordered the huge meal? I don't remember asking for a huge meal."

Galaxia replied, "Luna sweetie, I ordered it. I know you have a longer than normal patrol scheduled so I figure that we should all eat more."

Gray Wings, who would be going with Luna on her patrol said, "Thank you your Majesty! At least now I won't be hungry before we get home!"

Luna asked, "Mom, something strange seems to be going on. What are you up to?" She paused for a minute, smiled at her mom and continued, "If I didn't know any better I would think you were planning some sort of party!"

Galaxia smiled and replied, "Oh it's nothing. I was just hungrier than normal and I decided we should all eat more."

Luna gave her mom a nervous grin while they began to eat their supper. After supper Luna and Gray Wings were heading out the door to go on their patrol when Galaxia said, "Now don't stay out too long tonight!"

Luna asked, "Uh, what do you mean by that? I'm the Princess of the Night. I'm always out late!"

Once they got away from the castle Luna decided that she would get to the bottom of what was going wrong. She knew her mom was up to something but couldn't figure it out. She looked at Gray Wings and asked, "Gray Wings, do you know what my mom is up to? She has been acting strangely all day."

Gray Wings was confused by Galaxia's behavior as well. He replied, "Well whatever it is, she must be keeping me in the dark."

Luna continued, "I notice she seems to be having what she calls 'simply talking' sessions with Pinkie Pie, Colgate and Lyra. I just wish I knew what was going on."

Gray Wings replied, "Well I guess we'll see over the next couple of days."

While Luna and Gray Wings were on patrol Pinkie, her friends, Galaxia, Cosmos, Lyra and Colgate were out making sure that everything was just right. They wanted to make sure that everything went perfectly. Finally they got everything checked and it would work perfectly. Galaxia said, "You know Pinkie, I am so happy you and your friends did all of this. My daughter will be so surprised!"

Fluttershy asked, "You don't think she will be startled when the fireworks go off do you? All those explosions going on when she doesn't expect it might startle her."

Cosmos replied, "Don't worry Fluttershy. It takes a lot to unnerve Luna and a few explosions aren't going to bother her."

Fluttershy asked, "But doesn't she need to concentrate while she is raising the sun? What if the explosions cause her to drop it!"

Galaxia laughed, "Oh Fluttershy, you don't have to worry about that. Like Cosmos said, it takes a lot to unnerve Luna."

Fluttershy finally decided to just drop the issue. She knew Luna would be surprised but she still had a feeling that Luna might be startled and maybe drop the sun.

Canterlot Coronations

It was around six in the morning when Luna and Gray Wings returned to the castle from their patrol. Gray Wings yawned, "Wow, I'm tired. I never imagined we would run into six rowdy manticores last night."

Luna replied, "I didn't either. I will admit, I'm a bit tired but nothing serious."

Gray Wings looked around and something didn't seem quite right to him. He felt like they were being watched. He asked, "Princess Luna, am I going crazy or does it feel like we are being watched?"

Luna replied, "No Gray Wings, you are not going crazy. I feel like we are being watched by not just one pony, but many, many ponies. Well we can't worry about that. I need to lower the moon and raise the sun."

The moon that night was a crescent moon, which provided very little light making it easy for everypony to lay low and not be seen. Luna faced the west, stretched herself vertically and began to lower the moon. Once she got it lowered it was as dark as it could possibly get. Gray Wings asked, "Your Majesty, is it just me or does it seem even creepier now?"

Luna replied, "It isn't creepy, it's just as dark as it can get."

Luna turned around and faced the east. Again she stretched herself vertically and began to raise the sun. Once she got the sun far enough above the horizon light was shining on the castle "BOOM!" fireworks began going off and party music began to play. This startled Luna. It startled her so badly she almost dropped the sun. She finally got it above the horizon and saw an adoring crowd standing before her. They shouted, "ALL HAIL QUEEN LUNA!"

Luna was stunned by this as she had never been honored or adored like this. She looked over at her mom who was standing with all of Twilight's former friends, Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, Colgate and Lyra. Luna said, "Mom, you guys, you lied to me! You had this all planned out didn't you?"

Galaxia replied, "Well of course we had this all planned out! We knew Celestia wouldn't be back so we had to make this as special as possible!"

Luna headed to the edge of the balcony and started, "Well you know your prin...oops I mean queen isn't all that accustomed to public speeches so this might be a bit difficult for me. I never imagined that this day would come. I want you all to know that you are not so much subjects in my eyes, you are extended family."

The crowd began to cheer loudly as they realized that Luna was a bit different, not as uptight, as her sister.

Luna smiled at the crowd and continued, "I want you to know that there will not be just one huge festival that will be celebrated anymore. Yes the Summer Sun Festival will continue to be celebrated but we shall also celebrate the Winter Moon Festival, which will take place when I raise the moon to start the longest night of the year."

The crowd again cheered wildly. One of the ponies in the crowd shouted, "WHAT HAPPENED TO CELESTIA YOUR MAJESTY?"

Galaxia walked up to the balcony with Luna and replied, "She abdicated the throne. She chose an irrational tryst with a former student of her's over the needs of the citizens of Equestria."

The whole crowd shouted, "DOWN WITH CELESTIA, LONG LIVE QUEEN LUNA!"

Galaxia looked at her daughter and said, "Luna, you are a queen now but you must become the size of Cosmos and I to truly be a queen."

Luna asked, "But mom, how do I do that? Do I just eat a lot and I will grow taller?"

Galaxia pointed her horn at Luna, which kind of shocked her. Luna asked, "Mom, why are you pointing your horn at me? That kinda scares me."

Galaxia replied, "It's nothing bad sweetie, you will like the results."

Galaxia began to glow a soft white and her horn was glowing white as she recited, "The small one wishes they were tall so that they won't have to crawl, with height their future is bright and everything will be alright, for the small one is small no more, with height their happiness shall be galore."

She fired a beam of energy at Luna. The energy encircled Luna until she had grown to be the same size as Cosmos. This caused Luna's chest plate to break, her crown fell off of her head because it caused her horn to grow longer and end in a sharp point. Her old shoes were also shattered by her mother's energy. Luna was shocked. She said, "Mom, my regalia! You shattered it!"

Galaxia looked over at Cosmos and motioned him to go in and get Luna's new regalia. He went in to get it and Galaxia replied, "Just wait Queen Luna, I thought this would happen so we have replacement regalia."

Cosmos walked out with new regalia for Luna. Luna saw this and was thrilled. Her new crown was made of silver and had a moonstone in the shape of her cutie mark in the center of it. Also her chestplate was much larger, made of silver and also had a moonstone in the shape of her cutie mark. Her new shoes were more like leg armor. They were also made of silver and all four of them had a moonstone shaped like her cutie mark in them.

Galaxia said, "Come on, put on your new regalia so everypony can see you in all your glory!"

Luna put on her new regalia and returned to the balcony. She was met with even more adoring cheers. She waved at the crowd and was blushing a bit. She still wasn't really sure how to react since she had went from being a princess who was still feared by some to a queen who was adored by all.

Galaxia and Cosmos walked up to the balcony and stood by Luna. Galaxia shouted, "And now the coronation is complete. I want to formally introduce you to our daughter, Queen Luna of Equestria!"

Luna realized that it was her duty to transform Colgate and Lyra into Alicorns and introduce them as princesses to the crowd. She looked back at them and motioned for them to come forward. Once they got to the balcony Luna addressed the crowd. She said, "Everypony, I would like you to meet the two ponies I have hoof picked to be Equestria's newest princesses. I present to you, Princess Colgate and Princess Lyra Heartstrings."

The two new princesses waved at the crowd nervously as they were cheering for them. Once the cheering died down a pony in the crowd asked, "Queen Luna, will they remain regular unicorns or will they become Alicorns like you and your parents?"

Luna shouted, "Just wait, if you thought my mom increasing my size was amazing, you'll really be amazed by what I'm about to do."

Luna motioned for Colgate and Lyra to stand in the center of the balcony. They headed to the center of the balcony, Luna lowered her horn towards them and began to glow brightly. She recited, "The unicorns without wings can not fly, that can make their plans go awry, when they need to get there in great haste, without wings it is like they are stuck in paste, to be assured they get places fast, their wingless days must be a thing of the past."

Energy began to envelop them. They began to levitate and they felt wings starting to sprout from the sides of their backs. After three minutes the energy dissipated and both floated to the ground using their new wings. The crowd was amazed by what their new queen had just done.

Luna realized that they also needed to be the size of a normal princess. She decided that they would be transformed to be the size that Celestia is. She ordered them to stay in place, she pointed her horn at them and again she began to glow brightly as she recited, "The small one wishes they were tall so that they won't have to crawl, with height their future is bright and everything will be alright, for the small one is small no more, with height their happiness shall be galore."

Again they were encircled in energy and they felt themselves begin to grow. Very quickly they felt themselves begin to grow. As soon as the energy dissipated they had reached the size Luna desired. At first they had a bit of trouble walking on their longer legs but in a short amount of time they adjusted to it.

Galaxia brought out the regalia that had been made for the new princesses. While it was not as fancy or made of the same materials that Luna's was, it was still more regal than what Celestia had, as it did have their cutie marks incorporated into it. After they put their regalia on Luna led them over to the balcony and introduced them to the adoring crowd.

Luna said, "And now for the very first time, I formally introduce Princess Colgate and Princess Lyra Heartstrings!"

The crowd went wild cheering for not just their new princesses, but for their new queen and her amazing powers. By this point a majority of the crowd had put Celestia in the back of their minds and completely forgot about Twilight. Luna walked back to her parents and they hugged her.

Galaxia said, "Oh, I can't believe it! My baby is a queen now!"

Cosmos teared up and added, I'm so happy! Daddy's little filly is the sole leader of Equestria now!"

All of Twilight's former friends, the royal family from the Crystal Empire and the new princesses joined in a group hug. The coronations were complete. But now the time had come for all of them to go down and join the rest of the crowd for the huge party that Pinkie had organized. While most everypony was ready to hug and talk to their new queen and new princesses, there was one couple who would not be happy at all.

Questioning the Royals

The coronations are complete and the party Pinkie has put together has begun. Princess Colgate was mingling with the crowd when Lemon Hearts approached her. Colgate waved and said, "Lemon Hearts! It is so wonderful to see you!"

Lemon Hearts replied, "It is so wonderful to see that you have become a princess." She then had a sad look on her face and asked, "Does this mean that you won't be my dentist anymore?"

Colgate replied, "Don't worry, I will still be your dentist. I told Queen Luna that the only way I would agree to be an Alicorn princess was if she let me stay in Ponyville and keep my practice, and she agreed."

Lemon Hearts hugged her and replied, "Oh I'm so happy! I don't know if I could ever trust any other dentist, especially with you having those pain free dentistry spells."

Colgate blushed and said, "Wow, you're the first pony who has ever said that to me before. I know my patients like them but I know you truly appreciate them."

Lemon Hearts asked, "So when do you think you will be back in Ponyville? I really need to get my daughter in to see you. I think she might have a cavity."

Colgate replied, "Well Luna is wanting us to stay up here for a while longer. She believes we need to be present when Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight return. She wants us to see first hand the punishment that awaits royalty who ignore their royal duties."

Lemon Hearts looked confused and asked, "Princess Twilight? Who is that?"

Colgate replied, "Twilight Sparkle, she runs the library."

Lemon Hearts laughed, "Oh yes, she was crowned as a princess not too long ago. She has done so little that I completely forgot Celestia even crowned her as one!"

Both broke down laughing over Twilight's irrelevance as a princess. On the other side of the lower courtyard Luna and her parents had just sat down to breakfast when two very unhappy unicorns approached them. Twilight Velvet shouted, "LUNA, HOW COULD YOU? YOU CAST OUR DAUGHTER ASIDE FOR TWO NOPONIES?"

Galaxia raised her voice and said, "Mrs. Sparkle, there is no reason to shout. Your daughter has been gone on unofficial business, she has neglected her royal duties, as has Celestia, for well over two weeks. Using ancient laws that I wrote, both have legally abdicated the throne. That is why Luna has become Queen of Equestria and Colgate and Lyra have been crowned princesses."

Crescent asked, "No disrespect your Majesty, but Twilight didn't really even have any royal duties to neglect."

Cosmos replied, "She has not had any duties like Celestia did, but still, she has been gone on unofficial business for well over two weeks and like my wife said, under the laws that she wrote, she has willfully abdicated the throne."

Twilight Velvet shouted, "DID SHE EVEN KNOW ABOUT THESE LAWS?"

Luna's eyes began to shine white and she replied, "Probably not but that does not matter. I'm not sure if Celestia even read the book mom wrote which had the ancient laws in them."

Galaxia added, "And that does not matter. It is a matter of personal responsibility. It should be common sense that a princess does not just run off like that just to go on a tryst. It is even worse that not just one, but two of them ignore the needs of the citizens of Equestria, which is why Celestia has been stripped of her title of princess."

Twilight Velvet asked, "Tryst? Oh so your daughter seduced my daughter and caused her to run off with her huh? Some mother you are, you raise your daughter to seduce a student just so she can have a little fling."

Luna replied, "Listen, I don't think it was anything like that. Both my sister and your daughter developed special feelings for one another from what I understand. That would place the blame on both of them. Don't you ever accuse my mother of being a bad parent. The void is far from full if you continue with these accusations."

Twilight Velvet asked, "The void? What the hay is that?"

Luna replied, "Stop with the accusations so you don't have to go there."

Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor joined Luna and her parents at the table. He saw his parents were not overly happy. He asked, "Mom, dad, what is wrong?"

Twilight Velvet shouted, "Well Luna and her parents seem to think Twilight is nothing since she has been seduced by Celestia and ran off with her. Even worse, I accuse Galaxia of being a bad mother and the now high and mighty Queen Luna threatens to send us to the void."

Cadence jumped in. She asked, "You accused my aunt of being a bad parent? How dare you!"

Shining Armor, who knew something odd was happening decided to side with Luna and her parents. He added, "Mom, according to Equestrian law both abdicated. You are acting like the only one being punished is Twily."

Crescent said, "You know what son, I don't think you understand the whole scenario. Celestia took Twilight to Las Pegasus. My guess is that she seduced her and forced her to marry her."

Shining Armor replied, "You know what dad? Twilight confided in me a lot of things. Shortly after she matured into a full grown mare she told me about how she had a crush on Celestia. She told me about how she would walk towards her room at night but get scared and turn back. She told me about how she wanted to crawl into bed with Celestia because she loved her. So don't go putting all of this on Celestia."

Both his parents knew that he was not a liar. They looked down realizing that their accusing Celestia of everything was wrong. Twilight Velvet asked, "Your Majesties, can you forgive us for our false accusations?"

Galaxia replied, "Don't worry, I forgive you and I am sure that both Luna and Cosmos forgive you as well." She looked at Cosmos and Luna and asked, "Isn't that right?"

Both of them nodded in agreement. Galaxia continued, "Look, if it will make you feel any better we will notify you if we hear anything about what is going on with your daughter and if she returns, we will bring you up to the castle."

Twilight Velvet smiled and replied, "Thank you your Majesties. We would greatly appreciate it."

As Twilight's parents left, Princess Cadence, who was very close to Twilight spoke up. She said, "You know everypony, I really don't know what to think about this. I honestly thought that both Celestia and Twilight were more responsible than this. It seems like once Twilight became a princess both of them just lost all rational thought."

They continued to talk among one another trying to figure out why Celestia and Twilight did what they did. They couldn't figure out any specific reason but they all knew one thing, that Luna was now Equestria's Queen and that once Celestia and Twilight return, they will have to be punished.

Departure From Las Pegasus

It has been almost a month since Twilight and Celestia got married. They have remained holed up in their hotel room making one another happy. While both Twilight and Celestia wished they could stay in their room forever but Celestia realized that eventually that they would have to go home.

Celestia was holding Twilight close when she asked, "Twily sweetie, when do you think we should return to Canterlot?"

Twilight asked in return, "We have to return to Canterlot? Can't we just stay here or go somewhere else where it would just be you and me forever?"

Celestia looked deep into Twilight's eyes and replied, "I wish we could but we do have to go back to Canterlot. I'm sure everypony is wondering where we are and I know the citizens of Equestria would want us to be there."

Twilight asked, "But about Luna and how mean she is to us? You know she doesn't think we should be together. I don't know if I could handle having her watching our every move."

Celestia gave Twilight a deep kiss and replied, "Don't worry Twily, I will have a separate tower built just for us. We will only come out if it is important. As long as we are in Canterlot, I don't think the citizens there will think we have abandoned them."

Twilight asked, "But what about you raising and setting the sun? Won't you have to do that?"

Celestia replied, "Oh I'll just give Luna those duties. I will make my only royal duty making you happy."

Twilight smiled and replied, "Alright but do you think we could stay here just a couple more days?"

Twilight began giving Celestia those puppy dog eyes that she just couldn't say no to. She replied, "Oh ok Twily, we will stay here a couple more days but on Tuesday morning, we need to head back to Canterlot."

The next two days went by all too quickly for Twilight. Finally Tuesday morning arrived and Celestia asked, "Twily, are you ready to go?"

Twilight begged, "Please Celly, can we just stay even one more day?"

Celestia replied, "No, we can't. Remember I will have a tower built for us. Tell you what, how about we fly to Ponyville and spend the night in the library. Then we can head back to Canterlot tomorrow."

Twilight jumped on Celestia and replied, "Oh thank you, thank you! I love that idea!"

Celestia and Twilight headed downstairs where they were greeted by Flower Mane. Flower Mane asked, "So are you two finally going to brave the streets? Aren't you worried about getting mobbed again?"

Celestia replied, "No, Twily and I really have to get back to Canterlot. I'm sure everypony there is wondering what has happened to us."

Flower Mane smiled and replied, "Alright your Majesties, just remember you can stay here anytime! Your room will always be there!"

Celestia nodded as they headed out the door. Everypony saw them and began to flock towards them. Before they could reach them they took off towards Ponyville. Like on their trip there, they flew close together because they couldn't bear the thoughts of being very far away from one another. Finally nine hours later they arrived in Ponyville and landed in the library.

Everypony was giving Celestia strange looks and was glaring at Twilight. They knew about her rage and what she did to her former friends. Amethyst Star, who had adored her at her welcome home party, shouted, "What are you doing here your royal madness?"

Twilight fired a powerful bolt of energy at her, knocking her backwards and burning her. Twilight shouted, "Shut up Amethyst. Last time I checked I had every right to be here."

Celestia opened the door and suggested to Twilight that they get in there before everypony came after them to try to hurt them. Once they got inside they locked the door and headed straight up to Twilight's old bedroom. Twilight smiled and said, "I remember the night we first showed each other how much we truly love one another, it was up here."

Celestia replied, "I do too Twily. I think we should have one wonderful night of passionate lovemaking before we go back up to Canterlot."

Twilight had a dreamy look in her eyes and replied, "Yes Celly, I would love that!"

That night Twilight and Celestia became lost in one another and had one final night of loving bliss. While Twilight was scared about going back to Canterlot the next day, neither her or Celestia realized that returning to Canterlot would be the worst thing they could do.

Return to Canterlot

Their last night away from Luna went by all too quickly. The sun woke them up the next morning and Twilight was clinging to Celestia. Celestia said, "Twily, you are clinging to me just like you did when I had to go up to Canterlot. Is something wrong?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, I'm scared. I'm so scared of confronting Luna, I'm so scared of the ponies here in Ponyville. I really wish we could stay shut in the library for one more day."

Celestia said, "All we would be doing is pushing back the inevitable."

Twilight nuzzled Celestia and realized she was right. Twilight said, "Celly, I think we need to just hurry up and get out of town. As soon as we set foot outside let's just go."

Celestia asked, "You don't think we should even lock the library?"

Twilight replied, "No. We should just get going. But first I do think we should eat one last breakfast alone together."

Celestia said, "I agree Twily sweetie."

Up in Canterlot everypony had just finished breakfast. Luna had a scowl on her face and said, "Thirty-seven days now. It has been thirty-seven days since she climbed out of her window and went to be with Twilight."

Colgate added, "I know. I'm sure my patients are not very happy. I wish they would just hurry up and get home."

Luna said, "Don't worry Colgate. I will see to it that you are compensated well enough that you can give every one of your patients a free dental exam."

Colgate smiled and replied, "Thank you Queen Luna!"

Applejack interrupted, "I have a question for y'all. What are we going to do if those two never come home?"

Luna replied, "Well if they aren't home by the end of the week, I will go down to Las Pegasus and drag their flanks home kicking and screaming if I have to. I'm sick of this."

One hour later Twilight and Celestia arrived in Canterlot and landed in the upper courtyard. They were immediately greeted by guardsponies with spears. Celestia shouted, "What the hay?"

Gray Wings said, "Flash Sentry, Yellow Eyes, put them in chains. We can not have them leaving Canterlot again."

While Flash Sentry and Yellow Eyes were putting them in chains Twilight started to cry and Celestia shouted, "What the hay are you doing? You do remember who I am don't you?"

Flash replied, "Come with us you two, you have a lot of questions that must be answered."

They were led into the throne room, surrounded by guardsponies with spears. When they were led into the throne room they were both astonished by what they saw. Before them stood, from left to right, was Princess Colgate, Queen Galaxia, King Cosmos and Princess Lyra. Between Galaxia and Cosmos was a bright white light. Celestia finally realized that Twilight was right, that returning to Canterlot was not a good idea.

Galaxia walked up to Celestia and asked, "Daughter, do you know how long you have neglected your royal duties?"

Celestia looked terrified. She replied, "Uh, a long time? Twily and I have been together for so long I lost track of time."

Galaxia shouted, "THIRTY-SEVEN DAYS DEAR DAUGHTER, THIRTY-SEVEN DAYS!"

Twilight raised her voice and said, "How dare you talk to my Celly like that!"

Galaxia pointed her horn at Twilight and replied, "You shut up. I am talking to my daughter."

Twilight stood there sulking while Galaxia continued to question Celestia. She asked, "Celestia, do you know what happens to princesses who neglect their royal duties for anything over two weeks?"

Celestia got a sheepish grin on her face and asked, "Uh, she gets a good talking to?"

Galaxia replied, "No dear daughter, you are about to find out though...."

Celestia interrupted, "Wait a minute, why are Colgate and Lyra princesses, what is that bright light and where is my sister."

Galaxia smiled and replied, "You'll see!"

Galaxia looked back and motioned for Luna to step forward. The bright light dimmed and out of it came a much larger, much more regally dressed Luna than what Celestia remembered. She asked, "Luna, what happened to you?"

Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white and using the loudest form of the royal Canterlot voice she said, "THAT IS QUEEN LUNA TO YOU CELESTIA!"

Celestia nearly fainted. She stuttered, "Q-Q-queen Lu-Luna?"

Luna and Cosmos joined Galaxia standing in front of Celestia. Luna replied, "Yes dear sister, Queen Luna."

Celestia asked, "Mom, dad, why would you crown Luna queen? What about me mom, don't I get to be a queen too?"

Galaxia motioned for Colgate and Lyra to come forward. Colgate was levitating the old book of Galaxia's. She opened it up to the page where the law was written. Celestia saw this and shouted, "LUNA, I KNOW YOU WROTE THIS. YOU JUST CONNED MOM AND DAD TO HELP YOU OVERTHROW ME!"

Cosmos, who tends to be the quieter member of the royal family said, "Listen here Celestia, Galaxia wrote these laws when you were a very young filly and when Queen Luna was a newborn."

Celestia started to cry. She said, "Mom, why would you write laws like this? It was ok for Luna to be banished to the moon for a thousand years but I can't even go on at trip with my Twily for more than two weeks and I lose my crown?"

Galaxia replied, "No, you can not. Luna had no way of raising and lowering the moon when she was banished there. You were still on the earth during your absence. You had a choice and you chose to ignore your royal duties, and having the duty of raising and lowering the sun is a huge responsibility."

Twilight Sparkle began to charge at Galaxia and shouted, "I think she knows that. Do not talk to my Celly like she is stupid."

Luna grabbed a hold of Twilight with her magic and said, "Not another step Twilight Sparkle."

Twilight was struggling and grunting trying her hardest to get out of Luna's grip but the more she struggled, the more powerful Luna's grip got. Finally she just sighed and stood there in despair.

Celestia growled at Luna, "You let my Twily go! She doesn't deserve this."

Luna looked over at Shining Armor and asked, "Shining Armor, would you want to go and get your parents. I believe they need to get a lot of truths out of your sister."

Shining Armor replied, "You bet your Majesty."

Galaxia said, "While we are waiting for him to return with the Sparkle family let's take a short break. What do you say?"

Everypony agreed that a short break was needed. While Celestia and Twilight thought that things were already bad, very soon things would get worse, much worse. All they could do is stand there in a room full of angry ponies and wait.

A Return to Normalcy

After Luna did her royal duties they had a massive feast and then a short meeting afterwards. The new queen stood before everypony else to make sure they were all on the same page. Luna asked, "Alright everypony, now that Celestia and Twilight have been punished for their crimes, do any of you have any questions regarding the future of the new Equestria?"

Lyra asked, "Yes, I do. I know Colgate will be returning to Ponyville and I will be staying here. Will I be taking care of raising and lowering the sun?"

Luna replied, "That is a very good question Lyra. The answer to that question is no. For an Alicorn to handle celestial bodies such as the sun and moon, she or he must be born an Alicorn."

Lyra sighed and asked, "What sort of duties will I have?"

Luna replied, "You will handle the daytime duties, such as holding court. You will handle petty squabbles between the citizens of Equestria. Now the felony issues, I will handle. You will also be responsible for meeting with foreign dignitaries and planning whatever activities that will include meeting with them."

Lyra was getting a bit agitated. She asked, "What will you be doing?"

Luna replied, "Well I will be doing what I have always done. I will be doing my night patrols and like I said, I will handle serious issues, such as felony cases and when leaders of other nations visit, I will be up to handle that. Of course I will be up when mom and dad come to visit!"

Galaxia smiled and said, "Well I know that is a given!"

Applejack asked, "So when will we be getting to go home now since the punishments are complete?"

Luna replied, "Well you can either catch the late train home tonight or you can leave tomorrow morning, it is whichever you prefer."

Luna had a wonderful feeling within her now that things were back to normal. Finally, she could resume her night patrols with Gray Wings and her parents could return home. Before her and Gray Wings headed out to do their patrol Rarity asked, "Queen Luna, once Celestia finishes her sentence and returns, will she be able to be a princess again?"

Before Luna could reply Galaxia interrupted, "No, she will not be able to be a princess. In the laws I wrote in ancient times it states that she abdicated the throne. She will never be able to be a princess again because she is now forever unfit to rule."

Spike asked, "I know she was really mean after she was crowned a princess, but what about Twilight?"

Luna replied, "Chances are she will be in the void forever. Even if I was to decide to release her, she would also be deemed unfit to rule. Also, since she has not had them for that long, her wings would be removed. But, like I said, she will most likely be in there forever."

Pinkie asked, "What about when Celestia returns? Will she remember anything about Twilight?"

Galaxia replied, "Yes, she will. Her being imprisoned in the sun is a bad enough punishment but once she returns her desire to be with Twilight will still be there and she will know that she will never see her again. That will be the most excruciating punishment ever."

Luna laughed, "Yeah I can see her going into hiding and crying her eyes out for all eternity. Alright guys, Gray Wings and I have to go, we have a patrol to do and I'm sure we will have plenty of manticores to deal with!"

Life finally returned to normal. Princess Colgate returned to Ponyville and resumed seeing patients, Rarity was able to re-open her boutique, Applejack returned to Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash returned to handling the weather for Ponyville, Fluttershy returned home and spent plenty of time with her woodland friends who missed her dearly, Pinkie Pie returned to help the Cake Family run Sweet Apple Acres and Luna's parents returned home to rule Alicorn Island.

The only pony that didn't have her normal life resume was Princess Lyra. Yes she continued to perform in concerts, many times with her friend Octavia, but also she had a lot to learn about handling the duties of a princess, which Luna helped her learn. Eventually she ran the daytime activities better than Celestia did and all of Equestria benefited from it.

The Trip Home

Twilight's coronation was complete, all the festivities had finally died down, the citizens of Canterlot had went home and now it was just Twilight, her friends, her family and the other princesses in the throne room. Shining Armor walked up to Twilight and said proudly, "I never imagined that my little sis would become a princess! I know I've said this several times but I'm so proud of you!"

Cadence hugged Twilight and added, "I'm proud of you too Twilight. I know you will make us all proud!"

Celestia gave Twilight a smile and asked, "Twilight, don't you and your friends have to get back to Ponyville soon?"

Twilight rushed up to Celestia and hugged her. She asked in return, "Why would I have to get back to Ponyville so soon? I want to stay here with you for as long as I can your Majesty."

Celestia nuzzled Twilight and replied, "Twilight, you don't have to refer to me as your Majesty anymore. We're equals!"

Luna interrupted, "Twilight, you may have to get back soon because chances are your friends have a huge party planned for you. After all, you definitely deserve one!"

Celestia led Twilight and her friends out to the upper courtyard where she and Twilight continued to talk. Twilight continued to cling to Celestia while her friends were growing impatient. Twilight looked up at her former teacher and asked, "If I ever become overwhelmed, need guidance or simply need some comfort can I come see you?"

Celestia gave her a warm smile and replied, "Of course you can! You're always welcome up here."

Twilight heard shouting coming from behind her. Applejack had become impatient. She shouted, "Twilight, not all of us can fly you know. We need to get going, the train leaves in five minutes."

Twilight hugged Celestia one more time and said, "I guess I better get going. I don't want to but I don't want to miss the train."

Luna yelled, "Yeah you don't want to miss the train. Besides, my sister and I have to perform our royal duties here in a few minutes."

Twilight nuzzled Celestia one more time before they headed to the train station. As Celestia saw Twilight disappear from her sight she had a tear running down her face. Luna walked up beside her and asked, "Big sister, what is wrong?"

Celestia asked, "I'm just worried about Twilight. What if she has trouble adjusting to her new role and shuts herself inside the library?"

Luna replied, "Big sister, she will be fine. If she doesn't know exactly what something entails she will do research until she finds the information she needs. Come on, we need to do our royal duties."

While Luna and Celestia did their royal duties Twilight and her friends were on the train home. They could tell that something didn't seem quite right with Twilight. Spike asked, "Twilight, you seem kind of sad. What is wrong?"

Rarity added, "You have just been crowned as a princess. You should be jubilantly happy!"

Twilight looked up and replied, "I know I should be. I just don't know if I will be able to handle things without Celestia by my side."

Rainbow Dash nudged her and said, "Uh Twilight, you have been here in Ponyville for three years now and you have done just fine without Celestia by your side. Besides, you and I need to go flying sometime. I don't want you losing your wing muscles."

Twilight looked back down wishing that she was anywhere but on her way back to Ponyville. Pinkie poked her and asked, "Twilight, aren't you excited to get home? The Cakes and I have organized a huge party for your return."

Twilight got a scared look on her face and asked, "A huge party? How huge?"

Pinkie got a huge smile on her face and replied, "Really huge! Every single pony in town will be there! There will be snacks and refreshments! Oh, and don't forget, you get to give a speech!"

Twilight was getting paranoid as she asked, "I have to give a speech?"

Pinkie's grin got bigger and she continued louder, "Yeah, you get to give a speech and everypony in town will be watching you. They will be watching your every move and judging you on every single word you say and they will demand absolute perfection from their new princess! Won't that be exciting?"

Twilight began to hyperventilate and she hid under her seat. Applejack yelled, "Pinkie, don't you think you're going overboard here?"

Fluttershy added, "Pinkie, that isn't very nice of you to do that to Twilight."

Pinkie replied, "Well I'm just speaking the truth!"

Very soon the train had ground to a halt and Twilight was a nervous wreck. Everything Pinkie said had terrified her to the point of where her mane and tail were a complete mess. Pinkie asked, "Twilight, have you noticed that your mane and tail are a mess just like they were when you forgot to write that letter to the princess?"

Twilight shouted, "YES PINKIE, I HAVE!" Twilight calmed down a bit and continued, "I know it has and you are not helping matters any. You are just making things worse."

Fluttershy said, "Well everypony, I think we better get going. The train has stopped."

Twilight was looking terrified and asked, "Girls, can I ask you of a huge favor?"

Rarity replied, "Yes darling, of course you can!"

Twilight asked, "Could you all surround me when we get off the train?" Twilight started to cry and continued, "I don't want anypony seeing me like this. They will think I am awful."

Rarity replied, "They won't think you are awful but yes you can walk in the middle of us. Come on ladies, let's get Twilight to Sugarcube Corner."

Everypony surrounded Twilight as they headed to where Twilight's party would be held. While everypony was wondering why they were walking like that nopony could see Twilight or Spike so they were oblivious to the fact that she had got off the train, which made Twilight feel a little bit better.

Division Among the Royal Sisters

While Twilight is becoming a nervous wreck in Ponyville Princess Celestia is not faring much better up in Canterlot. It is very late and she is still awake. Luna and Gray Wings, the head of the Lunar Royal Guard, just returned from their patrol of the Everfree Forest and Luna was not thrilled to see her sister still awake.

Luna glared at her sister and asked, "Celestia, it is midnight and you are still awake. May I ask why? You should have been asleep a couple hours ago."

Celestia had tears running down her face and said, "I can't help it little sister, I'm worried about Twilight. What if she had a meltdown when she had to give that speech and she needs me?"

Luna replied, "Big sister, I'm sure she is fine. Twilight is a lot tougher mentally that you give her credit for."

Celestia began to head towards the door and said, "I'm going to check on her. I'll be back before too long."

Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white and she replied, "Oh no you're not! She is probably asleep and I highly doubt she would appreciate being woke up at this time of night. You need to get some sleep big sister."

Luna led Celestia to her room and told her to get some sleep. Celestia tried to get to sleep but she couldn't. She used her horn to create a bit of light and started looking at her picture of Twilight Sparkle. She started saying to herself, "My Twily, I need my Twily, I love you Twily."

Celestia continued to do that all night long and eventually Luna was waiting for Celestia to show up to raise the sun. It was five minutes past when the sun should have been raised and Celestia still hadn't shown up. Luna walked back to Celestia's room and knocked on the door. She didn't get any response so she walked in and saw Celestia sitting up staring at something and mumbling to herself. Luna walked over to her and waved her hoof in front of her face but still got no response.

Luna yelled, "CELESTIA, SNAP OUT OF IT! THE SUN NEEDS RAISING, WE'RE FIVE MINUTES LATE!"

Celestia took off but crashed into the ceiling and fell back onto her bed. She asked, "Little sister, why do you have to yell at me like that? It scares me."

Luna shouted, "Celestia, we need to get outside, now. We can't have Equestria falling into an ice age because you forgot to raise the sun."

Luna and Celestia headed out to the upper courtyard where she lowered the moon. Then Celestia tried to raise the sun. As hard as she tried, she could not get it above the horizon. Celestia said, "Luna, I can't do it. I'm too tired."

Luna replied, "Big sister, had you not stayed up all night you could have done this. I lowered the moon, now you raise the sun! It is your royal duty."

Celestia again tried to raise the sun. She was straining herself badly but could not raise it. She said, "Luna, I can't do it. Could you do it for me?"

Luna was shocked and angered. She replied, "Just this once big sister. After I do this we have to talk. I'm worried about you."

Luna raised the sun and led her sister into the throne room. She glared at Celestia and asked, "Big sister, did you stay up all night staring at that picture of Twilight Sparkle?"

Celestia started to cry and replied, "Yes, I did. Is it some sort of crime for me to do that?"

Luna's eyes began to shine a bright white and she shouted, "THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM IS YOU BEING UNABLE TO DO YOUR DUTIES!"

Celestia continued to cry, "I can't handle all the stress you are putting on me little sister. I'm going to Ponyville to see Twilight."

Luna stood in the doorway and shouted, "OH NO YOU'RE NOT. YOU COULDN'T EVEN RAISE THE SUN. YOU'RE GETTING SOME SLEEP."

Celestia shouted, "Look little sister. This is something you just don't understand. You have never had a student you grew that close to before. In fact, you've never even ran a school for gifted unicorns and you certainly haven't ever grown close to anypony."

Luna glared at her and growled, "What does that have to do with anything? Look Celestia, I had to raise the sun for you because you were too fatigued to do it yourself. Why? Because you stayed up ALL NIGHT LONG looking at a picture of Twilight Sparkle."

Celestia charged towards the door and knocked Luna out of the way. Luna stormed out of the door shouting, "GET BACK HERE CELESITA!"

Her shouts did no good as Celestia was bound and determined to go see Twilight. While Celestia was headed to Ponyville Luna stormed into the throne room and Gray Wings could tell she was angry. He asked, "Your Majesty, what's wrong?"

Luna growled, "I'll tell you exactly what is wrong. My sister stays up all night last night staring at a picture of Twilight Sparkle. Because of that, she was too tired to raise the sun and I had to do it FOR HER. Then instead of getting some much needed sleep, she flies to Ponyville to go visit Twilight." Luna rolled her eyes and continued sarcastically, "Oh yeah, my sister doesn't have the energy to raise the sun but she has plenty of energy to go see her precious Twilight."

Gray Wings asked, "Your Majesty, what do you plan on doing about this?"

Luna replied, "I don't know. I really need to get some sleep and you look like you could get some too." Luna saw Flash Sentry had got up. She looked over at him and said, "Flash, Gray Wings and I are going to get our daily sleep, I need you to keep an eye on things."

Flash asked, "Where is Celestia?"

Luna sarcastically replied, "She is too tired to do her royal duties but she has more than enough energy to go to Ponyville. She went to see Twilight. Just hold down the fort and don't disturb me unless we are under siege. Oh and do me a favor, get that picture of Twilight Sparkle out of Celestia's room."

Flash asked, "Why do you want me to do that? Won't she get mad?"

Luna snapped, "Look, if she yells at you she will have to answer to me. She stayed up all night last night staring at it and I had to raise the sun FOR HER. She needs to sleep at night, not stay up looking at a picture."

Flash asked, "Where do you want me to put it?"

Luna replied, "Put it in the archives, hide it in the pantry in the kitchen or do something to where she won't have access to it. I'm headed to bed."

Flash did what Luna requested and hid the picture in the Starswirl the Bearded wing of the archives since Celestia doesn't go in there that much. He was very concerned about Celestia's mental state and although he would never admit it, he even began to wonder if things would be better off if Luna was the only pony in charge.

Questions and Punishments

Shining Armor returned with Twilight Velvet and Crescent Sparkle. He looked over at Galaxia and asked, "Your Majesty, where do you want them?"

Galaxia replied, "Bring them up here with all of Twilight's former friends. I am sure they will have plenty of questions for not just their daughter, but Celestia as well."

While Shining Armor was leading the Sparkle family up to stand with everypony else, Twilight was growling, almost like a dog. Luna still had a strong grip on her and shook her head. Finally Twilight dropped her head in defeat and said, "Ok your Majesty, you win."

Luna replied, "Good, now we can get on with this hearing."

Galaxia looked over at the Sparkle family and asked, "Do either one of you two wish to question either my daughter, your daughter or both of them?"

Twilight Velvet replied, "With pleasure your Majesty."

Twilight walked up to Celestia and gave her a death look. Celestia could see the rage in Twilight's eyes. She started to cry and asked, "Mrs. Sparkle, what did I do that was so wrong?"

Twilight replied, "What did you do? What did you do? I will tell you what you did. You seduced my daughter to run off to Las Pegasus with you so you could marry her!"

Celestia said, "I did not seduce her. She went with me upon her own free will."

Twilight replied, "I don't believe that for one second." She grunted and continued, "What did you do? Give her bedroom eyes? Strut around and shake that flank? Promise her the world? Well, which was it?"

Celestia began to cry harder and replied, "I don't think you understand. Twilight and I love each other. All we ever wanted was to be together forever. I never once even thought about seducing your beautiful daughter."

Twilight Velvet replied, "Hmmm....I don't know whether to believe you or not. Perhaps it is time to talk to my daughter now."

Twilight Velvet walked over to her daughter and glared at her. She looked over at Luna and asked, "Queen Luna, do you think you could put my daughter down? It would make my interrogation much easier."

Luna replied, "Of course I can set her down."

Luna set Twilight down and Twilight Velvet began her interrogation. She asked, "So Twilight, from the way things sound, it is you who has had control over Celestia. Am I right?"

Twilight scowled at her mother and replied, "Look mom, I am going to tell you something and I hope you will understand. I have loved Celestia ever since I became a full grown mare. You have no idea how hard it was for me to control my sexual attraction for her. After I matured, every single night I would dream of crawling into bed with her and us doing things you could never imagine."

Twilight Velvet's jaw dropped open. She asked, "What? Am I hearing this right?"

Twilight continued, "Yes mother, you did hear it right. I wanted Celestia so bad I could hardly stand it. I eventually wanted a lot more than just hugging and kissing. I wanted everything and while Celestia and I were gone, she gave me what every mare dreams about and hopes she can get it her entire life."

Twilight Velvet glared at Celestia and asked, "What does she mean by that Celestia? Sexual escapades? Ugh, I don't even want to think further about what you two did."

Celestia replied, "Uh, well those are things that are not appropriate to discuss in this setting."

Twilight Velvet growled, "That is what I figured." She looked back at her daughter and continued, "I did not raise you like this Twilight. I did not raise you to spread your legs for the pretty, pretty princess Celestia."

Twilight shouted, "YOU DIDN'T RAISE ME MUCH OF ANY MOM. IT WAS CELESTIA WHO RAISED ME!"

Twilight Velvet asked, "Well then, how is it you could go from thinking of a pony as almost like a second mom to being your lover? Answer that."

Twilight broke down and began to cry, "But mommy, I love her. My Celly means the world to me."

Twilight Velvet sighed and headed back to stand by her husband. Galaxia asked, "Crescent, do you wish to question either one of them?"

Crescent replied, "No thanks your Majesty. I believe my wife handled things very well."

Galaxia decided that it was her turn to question the two. She first approached her daughter and asked, "Celestia, what the hay were you thinking? You know your royal duties are very important."

Celestia looked down and asked, "Mom, am I not allowed to be in love? Am I not allowed to be happy? Am I not allowed to be with the one I love?"

Galaxia got in her face and replied, "This has nothing to do with you loving Twilight. This has everything to do with you neglecting your royal duties." She paused for a minute and asked, "Tell me, why did you just decide to neglect your duties and run off with this purple Alicorn?"

Celestia began to cry and replied, "Because Luna was being so mean to me. She got mad at me for staying up all night staring at a picture of Twilight Sparkle."

Galaxia looked back at Luna and asked, "Is this true?"

Luna replied, "Yes, it is. I did not get mad at her for looking at the picture. I was angry because it was her staying up all night that made her unable to raise the sun the following morning. She asked me to raise the sun for her, which I did."

Galaxia looked back at Celestia, shook her head and said, "That is pathetic dear daughter. You better be glad it was Luna who was here instead of me, my wrath would have been far worse than just yelling at you."

Celestia fell to the floor crying, "Fine mom. Go ahead and hate me. Why don't you just kill me since you think I am so horrible?"

Galaxia rolled her eyes and headed over to Twilight. She glared at her and asked, "So, what does the little home wrecker have to say?"

Celestia shouted, "She is not a home wrecker, she is the pony I love!"

Twilight replied, "Listen your mighty highness, not only have I loved Celestia since I matured but she has loved me since I matured. We talked and we were both scared to express our true feelings until after I became a princess. Had we not been scared, we would have got married long before I went to Ponyville."

Galaxia looked back over at Celestia and asked, "Is this true my daughter?"

Celestia replied, "Yes mom, it is true. My Twily is not a liar."

Galaxia looked at Luna and said, "Well I think we know what needs to be done now. I do think that your sister needs to see the home wrecker's punishment."

Luna smiled and replied, "I agree mom, I agree 100%."

Luna looked over at Twilight's friends and asked, "I know all of you used to be friends with Twilight. Is there anything you would like to say to her before she is punished?"

Spike walked up to Twilight and asked, "I don't get it Twilight, before you became a princess you were like a mother to me. Once you became a princess you turned mean. Why did you go from being so nice to being so mean?"

Twilight glared at him and replied, "It doesn't matter. You were all spies for Luna. I don't want to talk to any of you. I hate everypony in this room except for Celestia, who I love with all my heart."

Spike walked back over to his friends and Luna said, "Ok then. The time has come. Twilight, go stand in that corner."

Twilight was led into the corner by Yellow Eyes and Flash Sentry. Luna asked, "Any last words Twilight Sparkle?"

Twilight replied, "Look Queen Luna, I said I hate everypony in this room except for Celestia. Render whatever ridiculous punishment you have planned for me."

Luna began to glow midnight blue, her eyes began to shine white, she pointed her horn at Twilight and recited, "You have committed treason and that is not in season, you are a threat to me and I simply can not let that be, I can no longer be annoyed so you shall be cast into the void."

Luna's energy struck Twilight. A dark vortex opened up and swallowed her. Luna said, "Well one punishment down, one to go."

Cadence had a horrified look on her face. She asked Luna, "Your Majesty, what is the void anyway?"

Luna replied, "It is a place of darkness. You are pretty much in limbo. You are alive, but you don't feel anything. It is more a matter of merely existing rather than feeling truly alive."

Celestia started to cry and asked, "How long will she be banished there?"

Luna replied, "However long I see fit. I could release her in five minutes if I desired to do so or I could leave her there forever."

Galaxia asked, "How long do you want to wait before you punish Celestia?"

Luna looked out the window and said, "Now. Guards, lead her to the back balcony."

The guards led Celestia to the west facing balcony while everypony else followed them. Luna smiled at Celestia and asked, "Any last words dear sister?"

Celestia started to cry and said only one thing, "I MISS MY TWILY!"

Luna began to glow midnight blue, her horn began to glow, her eyes began to shine white and she pointed her horn at Celestia and recited, "The solar queen has been mean, the crimes she has committed must be paid for, which like those before her will lead her into lore, the time has come for her to go to the sun, which definitely will not be fun."

Luna's energy struck Celestia and it carried her into the sun. The silhouette of Celestia appeared in the evening sun. All the punishments were complete and life could return to normal for everypony. Galaxia said, "I know this was tough on all of us but Celestia broke the rules and had to be punished."

Fluttershy looked up at Luna and asked, "How long will she be banished to the sun for?"

Luna replied, "Well given that only a rare total solar eclipse at sunset can release her, she will be banished for 4,732 years 9 months and 17 days. I know it sounds like a long punishment but neglecting one's royal duties is a serious offense."

Fluttershy said, "I agree your Majesty, without you there to take care of both, Equestria could either burn or freeze."

Luna replied, "My dear Fluttershy, you do not have refer to me as your Majesty or as Queen. I want everypony to just refer to me as Luna. I consider all of you friends and I think that friends should be informal."

Galaxia said, "I think that is a good way to think my daughter." Galaxia looked towards the dining hall and asked, "I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm hungry! What do you say we all go have a lavish feast before we all return to our normal lives."

Luna replied, "I agree mom but I need to go lower the sun and raise the moon."

While Luna's family and guests headed to the dining hall she headed out to the courtyard to lower the sun and raise the moon. As she saw the orange solar disk drop towards the horizon with Celestia's silhouette in it she felt a great sense of vindication. Never before had she felt as happy as she did that night she lowered the sun and raised the moon.
