She sat there, staring down onto the table... Thinking, lost in thought... She was a pegasus with a pinkish coat and her reddish blonde mane gently sway under the cool soft winds, while her tail of same color sway down below and under the seat which she sat upon. Her eyes, one being red and the other green, continued their staring like they are staring into Oblivion... However, she was actually deep in thought. Debating on a choice, which will change her future forever but she just doesn't know it...
What was this choice, you may ask? The choice is as simple as if she should go to a concert or not... Which to most ponies, such a question and such a simple thing wouldn't matter so much... To Dream though, it does. She rarely go out to a public place like this with so many other ponies around, not because of shyness but because of fear... Fear of other ponies, with the same or similar age of her, laughing at her; teasing her cause of the different colored eyes. A trait which is shared by very few ponies and even fewer rarely do go out in public, in this same fear...
However, this year was different from the other years. She was inspired this year. Inspired to stand up and do something with her life, ignoring all others who dare challenge her... Who dare challenge her sanity, he well being, and her life all because of one minor difference... Where did the inspiration came from? Simple. From a song which is known as Great to be Different by the famous punk artist Forest Rain, a fellow pegasus of greenish colors...
And the concert, which is happening here in Ponyville, has Forest Rain part of the act... As well as few other musicians, whom she may or may not know... She only just want a chance to see him live and listen to that amazingly tune by the green pegasus...
Finally, after several moments of staring there awkwardly, with a few other ponies watching nervously... She finally smiled and gently gotten up from her seat at the fast food place. "I'm doing it." She said to herself within her mind... Dream had finally decided to go out and go to that concert, no matter how many bits it would cost her; and she knows it will be costly...
Later that day, Dream entered her bedroom with a ticket in her mouth. She trot happily into the room, gently setting the ticket to the concert onto the little wooden table, which sat beside her bed... She has a few days before the concert and within those days, she has plans to help avoid those laughing at her, as she wish to have a fun experience... As for now, she gently just went limp onto the bed, sighing softly to herself as she looked out into the night sky through her window... After a few moments of watching the stars, she finally drifted off to sleep...

"Soooo..... Storm, how is that one little project of yours going?" A yellowish pegasus gently asked, smirking a bit he lays on top of a cloud, with a white pegasus on a nearby one... The pegasus, whom asked the question, had a brownish mane with a yellow strip in it and his tail following a similar suit. His cutie mark was that of a crown and his eyes had a gentle gold coloring to it.
"Um... Well. It's still a work in process... Nothing for me to say, really... Sorry about that, Prince." The white pegasus, who was identified as Storm, replied... His mohawk-like mane being a purplish color, with his scythe-looking tail with the same color gently sway behind the pegasus, hanging there in the wind below the cloud which he sat on.
Prince simply stared a bit at the other pegasus and shrugged the thoughts in his off about it... Giving no word to Storm's reply and after a short moment, the yellow pegasus took a look down at Ponyville, though secretly as he doesn't wish to attract attention from his fans and ruin his little time he has right now to simply hang out with another pony... However, he saw a mare pegasus down below who was leaving some burger spot in-town...
He doesn't know what but he simply found her just divine and wanted to watch, keep his eyes curiously on her as she went through the town, eventually vanishing out of sight as she headed toward where the tickets for the concert are sold at... After a few moments though, he brushed the feeling off and looked at Storm real quick before saying "I'ma go... Talk to ya later." After which, he stood up on the cloud and quickly flew off, away from the white pegasus who was just nodding and smiling, waving the rock musician goodbye as Prince went...

Finally, after such a long wait, as it seemed to Dream, it was finally the night on the concert and she stood in the line with her ticket... Her legs were shaking nervously but she kept still mostly and surely kept quiet, not wishing to attract attention... As the line moved, she gently moved with it, being careful with every step she took as she successfully kept her balance upon those nervous legs which the pegasus is using.
Then it happened... She was finally handing her ticket to the gatepony and thusly entering into the loud crowd of ponies, all cheering for the show to begin... Most ponies wearing specific hats or even shirts of their personal favorite musicians while the rest worn the traditional outfit for ponies, which is none at all... Dream kept her head down though as she gently walked through the crowd... She didn't want to fight the crowd up in front so instead, she decided to move back a bit and sit more in the back of the crowd...
Once she was comfortable, she finally took a long onto the stage in front of her eyes, gaining a big smile upon her face as she checked out the moving lights, the instruments which lay in idle, waiting for their masters to come and perform... There were basses and guitars of all sorts around on the stage, it seems to her... Probably each one for specific kinds of musician. Though there was only one drums set right at the back of the stage and up to five microphones on the front of the stage, causing everypony to assume there will be a song requiring up to five singers, if not including the drummer or keyer. The final instrument which laid on all four legs was the keys, the piano so to say... It was on the far left side of the stage, to the fan ponies' eyes... To the musicians, it would be far right side.
However, this moment of enjoying such wonders of the stage was short lived as she heard a male voice... She didn't made out what he said right away, as her attention was glued to the stage, but after turning over, seeing a white pegasus, she caught on what he said... As it seemed on his face, he must've greeted her and she finally decided to gently greet the pegasus back with a simple "Oh... Hello.", which proved that her assumption was correct, cause the pegasus smiled gently and sat down there.
"So... Who you here for?" The pegasus asked, gently staring at the stage... "I mean, musician wise... We all have our personal favorites after all!" He added quickly, not wishing for her to mistake his question for something else.
Once the question was asked, it didn't took long for her to replied, as she was pretty happy that this pegasus is being extremely nice to her... "Oh! I'm here for Forest Rain then... I do enjoy his music quite a bit."
The other pegasus nodded his head gently upon hearing the reply and was just about to continue the conversation with this mare, however it was cut short an announcement was made and ponies beginning stomping... The concert had begun and the first show of the night is coming upon stage. It wont be long until the loud music blast out for the crowd.
As the night went on and the musicians come and go, Dream stayed close, leaning forward a bit as she enjoy all sorts of different music, though not all... Then they announce another musician known as PrinceWhateverer, which caused her to giggle gently... Finding the name a bit odd and funny, and the pegasus nearby smiled a bit as he already knew what she was enjoying.
However, she suddenly stopped and her eyes locked onto the yellow musician as he came onto stage... She didn't knew what it was but she couldn't leave her eyes from him, she just wanted to sit there forever and stared at his handsome face, the glorious mane around his neck, and the glittering eyes she manage to see from all the way here...
Then he begun to play, singing and using his own guitar as his wings gently flap behind him, keeping him floating gently in the air as he continued blasting vocals of his rock music into the microphone which stood in front of him... However, after a moment of performing, he finally spotted Storm out in the audience but also that mare from the other day right there... Upon seeing her, the same feelings from before coursed through him as he continued his performance, trying not to make a mistake from the distraction.
Once he was done with the current song, he decided to change things up as he was debating in his mind about this feeling and now he wants to act upon it, hoping it is the correct feeling which he is guessing at. He gently put his guitar down onto it's bed, and head over to the microphone as he gently started another song, though the instruments are not by him as this is a song which he did not do... No, he was covering the vocals of this song right on the top of his head live for her, even though it would go against the pony in charge of this concert...
The pony running the background music, the music used for the instruments not being played live since it is impossible for an artist to play all instruments live, did questioned Prince when he got the message through a tiny mic, as Prince himself was wearing a small little mic on the side of his face, like all musicians do, in order to tell the radio pony what song to play... Luckily for Prince, the radio pony didn't seem to care much and decided to go ahead and play the requested song's instruments, just not playing the vocals for it as Prince noted he will be singing it live.
As he sings, the crowd cheered on for him even though everypony was surprise at the change from originals to a cover, but none questions it and all enjoyed. "And I'm tired of being all alone..." He sung as he talked around the stage, now using the small mic he has, as the radio pony was nice enough to set it as a microphone. "And I'm torn to do what I have to..." Prince continued as he stopped, his eyes closed as he gently moved his head left, toward the audience... "To make you mine and stay with me tonight!" The rock musician sung as his eyes opened up, and were locked upon the mare in the audience with different colored eyes.
When Dream finally saw he was looking at her, she was in shocked and was in a state where her mind went blank for a moment, gently staring back right at the musician up on stage... "It's stupid but I think I'm in love..." She gently whispered to herself, her mouth hanged open in an 'o' shape after saying those such with her eyes lock with him... In the mean time, the pegasus who was near her caught that she said something but wasn't able to pick up the words, though upon seeing her expression... He made a guess at what it is and gently smiled.
However, when Prince finally had to get off stage... That expression so change into one of sadness and gently her wings went down onto her sides... For the rest on the concert, she stayed down like that as she watched curiously, just enjoying the music of which she remembered from Prince but then feeling the sorrow of missing him, his face, and that voice.
Once it was over and the ponies all begun to pack their things to get ready to leave, the white pegasus finally decided to look over at her... "So... I can help you meet Prince if ya want to actually meet him. Was planning to talk to him after the show." The white pegasus said to her, smiling a little to himself.
Dream's ears perked up high as she looked up at him, grinning widely. "Oh! YES! I would love to! But wait... How are you allowed to meet him?" She said happily and then quickly asked curiously, wondering how such a common pony know such a famous pony.
The white pegasus she asked this question just simply chuckled softly and gotten up. "Long story... Here, let's go." He gently said, moving in the direction toward the stage and Dream gently followed nervously, not knowing if she should trust him or not but she had to know badly about Prince... If this is her chance then she is taking it!
They gently went down and around the stage to where the musicians should be going and leaving through, though the two of them are not allowed in with permission... However, Storm knew it wont be long and after a few tiny moments, Prince ended up coming out but suddenly stopped as he saw Dream, who was also staring back right at him... The two lost in one another's eyes as Storm just chuckle and backed off. "I'll leave you two be..." Was all the white pegasus said before going off, whistling a song to himself.
It took over ten minutes of pure silence before Prince finally spoke up... "So. Want to maybe go out for a bite to eat?" He gently asked the mare, using his right hoof to rub the back of his head as she smiled at the question and quickly hugged him tightly, causing the musician to gently meep from the sudden hug but he ended up hugging right on back. "I'll take that as a yes..." He added quickly and when they were done with the hug, they too went off together...
