She looked at me, in amazement. I felt happy for a moment, as she looked like she was going to accept me. What an idiot I am. After a few seconds, she smiles brightly, then grins- and to my horror, laughs at my face. After a few moments, she manages to stop laughing enough to say "Seriously?! You?! I think Discord has a better chance!" Blam. She just put her hoof in my body. Well, not physically, but emotionally. My friend, who I asked to be with me, said "Hey! What's wrong with you!" She, now finished with her laughing, says "Nothing! But I think everything's wrong with your little buddy, damn colt-cuddlers!" My friend stops for a moment, and my expression changes from deep depression to blood rage. "Back the hell off, Bright Rule! Coming from you, who spends all her time with mares and no time with stallions! You probably are more filly-fooler than both of us combined!" Her two friends gasp. I show a large grin, my expression looking sinister. Should I mention, I may have been timid, but my family's blood is rich with rage and power. And fact was, when I was but a young colt, I had three other colts bullying me. I handled it for a LOOOONG time. And then when it spread to my friends, their fate was sealed. I remember that day, marking me as what seemed to be the toughest colt at the time. All of the three colts, at once, by myself. Sure, I was hurt and bleeding, but I didn't get nearly as much injuries as those three. I guess that memory might have disappeared from the minds of my fellow students, but that didn't affect what emotion Bright Rule showed. Terrible, terrible fear. My friend turned his head to me. "Hey, Quick Stride, don't waste your time on those mares. They ain't worth it." It took me a few moments to untense my facial expression, and I sighed. An evil thought rung in my head. I swing my hoof at Bright Rule, and she screams, not bothering to move, closing her eyes. After no surges of pain rushes through her, she opened her eyes. She saw my hoof next to her face. She gives a sigh of relief, after my hoof goes back down. I turned to my friend. "Raging Storm. My pegasus friend. I don't understand how you can be so forgiving." Now, I may have handled the bullying softly, but there is a bold line between forgiving and withdrawing. Forgiving, no strings attached, it's ok, just don't do it again. Easy doormat. Withdrawing? Anger near bursting, plans of revenge forming. These people, you better watch out for. "No idea. How about getting away from the mares?" I smirked, and looked at the three mares. "I think they have that done for us." One mare understands what I mean, and grabs her friend, and they both run from us. Bright quickly follows after them. I look back at my friend and smile. My eyes checked him again, considering it was so easy for me to forget how pony's look. He has a black mane, and had an orange color to his skin and fur. His cutie mark was a rain cloud, and his eyes were light blue. Thinking about how I looked, my skin and fur was a brown color, and my mane was red. I wore glasses, over my emerald green eyes. My cutie mark was a pony galloping quickly: My special talent was moving and doing things fast. Minutes pass. I yawn, looking at the sky, Storm nudges me. Looking at him, he says "Hey, I need to go. See you later." I nod, and we hoof-bump. He trots out the park, and I look back at the sky. Beautiful sky. Looking around the park, I take a deep breath. Air fills my lungs, and so does the scent of flowers. It's peaceful today... Strange. Normally, if we don't have an ursa minor or something like that attacking Ponyville, we have some active pony. But today it's void. And quickly, I feel a large clench of my muscles, as without my own decision, they decide for me to get up, and trot into some closeby bushes. I couldn't control myself a bit, only my thoughts seemed to be in my control. And that's when I see it. A blue book, with the word 'Fate' written on it, in strange writing, and a glowing quill. Certainly not hoof-print, but I doubt a unicorn would write so strangely, even I wouldn't write like that. Curiosity fills me, and I grab Fate. Little did I know I would soon be changing lives, and changing the destiny of ponies. Opening the book, the first thing I see is a set of rules. I. This book can only be used two times per hour. II. Only this quill will cause effects. Using any other quill, the words will fade away. III. This book can change what ever happens in the future. Anything. From the death of a pony, to keeping one alive. Seeing this, I gasp. What? That... That's impossible! No WAY can that be real! Damn that unicorn who thinks they can prank me! IV. Destiny can only be changed if a logical explanation can be given, or it will not happen. If it's impossible, it will not happen. V. The pony using this must be specific about how the future changes. If it doesn't have enough details, it will not happen. VI. You can't influence another pony's destiny using this book, unless you write it down, or it will not happen. VII. There is a time limit for each destiny to take effect. The longest time a destiny can be changed, is within thirty (30) days. Any longer, and it will not happen. VIII. If you cause a pony to do something, they will not be in control of themselves except for their thoughts, until the destiny has fully happened. IX. If words are spelled incorrectly, it will not happen. Frankly, I got bored of reading the rules, and went off to the first page. Reading it, I see someone wrote already. It reads as The pony Quick Stride, after coming to the park in Ponyville, he finds this book. He uses it anyway he wants. He is unfollowed, with no living being in the park but him. Somepony wants me to use this. Weird. Who wouldn't want to abuse this? This book was power! It's strong! Well, that is if it was true. It might be some unicorn trying to see whether I am corrupt, whether I would take it and use it. Grabbing the quill with magic, I write this in the book. At the Ponyville park, if any pony is spying on Quick Stride, they walk into his vision, and become paralyzed. Silence. Nothing moves, nor shakes. Only the wind blows softly. I sigh, then put Fate and the quill into my saddlebags. I trot quickly out of the park. This was weird. I thought heavily, as I find my house, open the door, and close it behind me. I had no words to describe the strange feeling I felt after picking up this book. I felt like I was being watched. I brushed it off, and quickly galloped up the stairs, and into my room. Dropping my saddlebags, I jumped into bed. The sun was still up, but it was setting. I felt more tired than normal, so sleep seemed ideal. Running the day through my head again, I slowly drifted to sleep.
