I am Pete, this is my story.
"Dad? Is that you? where are we?". The voices were muffled, I could barley hear the voices as they talked.
"Pete, it's time for you give up.".
"But I can't Dad. Why would you say that!? They're gonna hurt me if they catch us.". What are they talking about? It's been five minutes and I don't think I can take much more.
"Son give up! It's, time to give up, it's time to stop running Pete! accept who you are. You don't belong and you and me both know it, so it's time to stop.". Then the door in front of me opens and a kid runs out.
"I'll never give up Dad!!!!". The father runs out after the child... And he has a tazer.
"COME BACK HERE PETE!!!! ITS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!!.". Then the world starts to dis form and swirl around me, as it does words are put in my head.
"Give up, you're nothing, worthless, never escape, don't keep running, accept, own good.". The words hurt, I can't stop them, they're too powerful. When the swirling stops I'm in a city alleyway. In their with me is a teen about 15 years of age, he's with a girl that's 15 as well.
"Thanks for meeting me here Susie, your the only one who gets me, I love you.".
"I love you to Pete, and I'm sorry.".
"What do you mean?". The girl turns around and starts walking towards the exit.
"They have a bounty of you now... For a lot of cash... A lot of cash.". Then sirens start going off, everywhere I turn they keep ringing, ringing, and ringing.
"Susie... How... Could you.". The girl turned around and looked at the boy and smiled.
"Easy, I looked at the poster, called the number, and told them you'd be here. You see Pete, I never loved you, I was just waiting until they would put up that bounty.". She then start to laugh as the sirens got louder and louder. The world is spinning again, and more words are getting in my head.
"Never loved, a lot of cash, bounty, poster, waited, told them... Susie how could you?". My head starts to throb more and more, it hurts, who are these people, why is that boys name Pete? IM PETE! The world come to a stop once again and I'm in a broken hotel. Another person is with me, it's the boy again, but this one is easily 17. He's just sitting on a dirty bed, crying. This continues for at least five minutes when a bright flash appears by the bed but the teen never noticed. A creature takes place by the bed, I don't know what it is, it looks like a combo of a snake, horse, lion, eagle, and a dragon.
"Aww you poor thing, it brings tears to my eyes.". The teen hears him and rolls off the bed, obviously surprised by the creature.
"What the hell are you!? How did you find me!?". The teen rises with a gun in his hand.
"Now now, Pete, is that a way to treat your guests? Put that away.". The creature snaps it's claw and the gun disappears.
"H h how did you do that?!". The creature laughs at this, the answer was obvious anyway.
"Why magic of course, what else?.". Bingo, duh.
"Yeah right! Now tell me how you did that!". The boy pulls a machete from his belt and pushes the creature against the wall and the wall crumbles without any trouble.
"Pete, I just want to help you, I came to offer you a deal.".
"Bull! No one can help me! Now who and what are you?!". The creature disappears and reappears on the bed.
"My name is Discord, lord of ultimate chaos! And I can and will help you.". The teen is bewildered and starts to calm down.
"How can you help me.". The creature flys over toPete and gets right up in his face.
"I can help you get away.". The teen's eyes widen at the news.
"Yes! What do I have to do!". The creature laughs again.
"Let me take care of that end of the deal my dear Pete.". The creature snaps it's claw and the world starts to spin again, even more words enter my head... They hurt so much but this time I can't tell what they're saying. Then I feel like I'm falling fast, really fast. I look down to see a giant castle, Canterlot castle, and I'm falling straight for it. I hit the castle roof with a loud crash
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ". I roll out of bed with a loud thump as I hit the carpet floor. It was all a dream, just another lousy dream.
"Commander Pete are you ok?". I look up to see my personal butler, Pen.
"I'm all right Pen, can you help me up please?".
"Why of course.". My vision starts to get blurry from the yellow aura that surrounds me. I'm so glad for unicorn magic, it's the pony equivalent of hands. I scratch the back of pens ears.
"Thanks bud, now where my armor? I've got that special escort trip to the Crystal Empire today.". Pen walks over to the closet and pulls out the golden armor.
"Here you go Pete, and good luck!". Pen walks out of the room so I can change, but before I do that I need to look out the balcony. As I walk over I feel the gentle breeze of summer flow past me. I walk over to the balcony and look over the land. Equestria sure is beautiful in the morning.

This is my home planet, I've been no where else.
I don't know how long I've been on this planet, but I can't remember when I wasn't either. This has been my home since I woke up, this was always my home. I don't know if this is a question or a statement but, I've been nowhere else. I don't know why I can't remember anything of my past, but I don't care as well. It's been great so far and I've already stopped the Princesses from trying to get it back, I don't care about it anymore, all I care about is protecting my Princesses, it's such an honor to protect them as well. When I woke up from my sleep, I had know idea where I was and where I've been. It's a bit foggy but I think I can remember my awakening.
"What do you think it is Luna.". Wha? where am I? Who's talking?
"I know not of such a creature, it's not listed anywhere. Not even by Starswirl the bearded.". I sit up with my eyes closed, still tired from my slumber. I crawl out of the bed and stand up eyes still closed. I open my eyes to see to blurry figures in front of me, I can't see much without my glasses.
"Who are you. Hold that thought let me get my glasses.". I reach in my poket and put on my glasses.
"Now, who ar-". I turn around to see to horses with wings and horns. I grab for my machete but it's gone. So I grab the nightstand and hold it up ready to throw it.
"You got ten seconds to tell me where I am, what you are, and who you are.". The blue ones's horn start to glow and my vision gets shrouded in a dark blue aura. Before I know it I'm in the air and I can't move.
"Hey put me down you, you, you thing!".
"How dare thou speak to us that way! With a stomp of a hoof I ca-". My vision is still blurry but I see the white on put a hoof up to the blue one.
"Luna, put it down.".
"But sister it-".
"Luna?".
"Fine.". I get my vision back but I fall strait to the floor.
"Umph! You could lowered my down!". It chuckled.
"I could've.".
"That's it, I want answers. Where am I and how did I get here?". The white one speaks up.
"You are in the kingdom of Equestria, Canterlot castle to be exact. I can't answer how you got here though.". I raise my eyebrow.
"Why not?". It sighs and looks right in my eyes.
"Because I have no idea.".
"Commander Pete! Come on your gonna be late!". I turn around to see one of the guards that protect the Princesses as well, those ones are jerks.
"Ya ya I'm coming, don't get your wings in a twist.". I hurry out the door and into the castle gardens where the chariots are waiting.
"I was wondering when you'd get here commander Pete.". Celestia is sitting in one of three chariots.
"Oh! Sorry Princesses I. Umm. Let's go.". Ugh. I. Hate. Flying. It's always been a fear of mine, but for some reason heights don't bother me. As we take off for the royal train station I take the time to admire the beautifully crafted char- ah who am I kidding! I'm sitting right in the middle of the thing trying not to look down. When we travel we always have separate chariots because I can't fly, I'm an Earth human. I've never seen a unicorn or pegusi human before, but I've never seen another human by that matter.
"Commander Pete, why don't you look down and admire the land you're protecting?". I look to me left to see that the Princess Luna is right next to me.
"Gah! Geez, Princess Luna, don't surprise me like that. Especially when we're (gulp) so high up.". This made her laugh.
"Oh Pete, why are you so afraid of flying? You're not afraid of heights, what's the difference?".
"I don't know, the movement maybe?".
"Perhaps, oh look there's the train. Shall we?".
"Yes, please.". As we descend Luna teleports back into her own chariot. Ground, ground, oh sweet ground!
"This way Pete, this will be your first time at the Empire.". That was right, this would be my first guard duty at the Crystal Empire. As we load onto the train the other guards are setting up the stupid red carpet that unfolds when we open the door. As the train start rolling I notice the Princesses are looking at me with worried eyes. Around the other jerks I'm not allowed to talk to them unless they start. So knowing how long this ride is going to be I put my helmet my eyes, lean back, and drift to sleep.
"Give up, worthless, nothing, own good, run, run, run, never stop, dead, all you know, gone, gone, gone.". The words are in my head once more and hurting like before but this is different. I'm in a room with a little boy and his parents. They seem so happy, it's warms my heart to see the parents. It's almost like I knew them before. Then I hear a screeching sound outside of the room, the door opens and ten men in suits run in. The Father is the first to react.
"What are you doing!?". The leader looks back at the others and orders them to contain the child.
"What are you doing!? Leave us alone!!!!". The team corners the child, he's done for, I try to help but I can't move. The mother grabs a frying pan and proceeds to try to stop the men.
"Get away from my son you monsters!". One of men looks at her and socks her, right in the face. He then pulls out a gun... Points and fires. Then the world started to dissolve as the father grabs the child and runs out the back. The mothers scream and the gun fire is all I can hear.
"NOOOO!!!! ". I jerk awake. Not not knowing the Princesses were scared I went straight to the end of the train to think. I didn't care how cold it was, I needed to think. As I stepped onto the lookout I could finally think. Who was that kid? Why did that guy just kill her like that!? Were those people criminals, or just regular people, ugh every question is leading to the next.
"Pete come inside, your gonna freeze out here.". I turn to see Celestia with a scarf, hat, hoof gloves, and other winter clothing.
"In a minute, I need time to think.".
"That was not a suggestion, it was an order.".
"Fine...". I step inside the warm cart after Celestia and she motioned me to follow. As we enter the main cart I sit down a the nearest window seat to look over the snowy wasteland. After a few more hours I start to see the shield protecting the Empire. Finally this nightmare is over. As the other guards send out the carpet I walk in front to read the stupid greeting speech.
"Now presenting the your royal highnesses! Princess Celestia and Princess Luna!". A pink alicorn approaches them but I quickly stand in her way. I then send down a endless stare as she looks up at me.
"Stand down Commander Pete.". I look up to she the one and only Shining Armor, captain of the guard.
"As you wish captain.". I step aside to let her through, they then proceed to exchange hugs.
"So your the famous Pete eh? I looked through your records, you went through the ranks pretty quickly.". I never looked down a him as he talked.
"Yes I did, why such an interest?".
"Well you're the first and only non pony Guard we have, why somepony not take a second look. Anyways after we get to the castle, would you like me to give you a tour?".
"No, I have a responsibility. Maybe I'll come back when I'm on vacation. Until then I must stay with the Princesses.". I start to walk away when I hear Shining whisper to the pink alicorn.
"I see Co. Captian written all over his face.".

A Crystal heart and a discovery.
This place is magnificent!!!! The ground is Crystal, the houses are Crystal, and even the ponies are Crystal. But I'm sad to say that I haven't seen any humans here. As we make our way to the castle I'm getting stares from all angles, I must be the first human here too... wonderful.
"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding at the train station Commander.". I look over to see the pink alicorn walking next to me. I look back to the front and respond.
"It's ok, Shining gave you the approval.". I was hoping to end this conversation soon but the alicorn proceeded.
"Well, my name is Princess Cadence, what's yours?". Oh my Celestia.
"Did. Did you say Princess?". Crap crap crap crap!
"Yes, why?". I then stop and get on my knees and close my eyes.
"I'm so sorry Princess, I had no idea you were royalty!". I then feel her hooves on my chin, making me look up.
"It's ok Commander, now let's get going. We won't want to lose the others.". I look past her and see that the others are far ahead. I stand up and run as fast as I can towards them, I get there in two seconds.
"Glad to see your back... Commander.". I look over to see one of the lower class guards I'm commanding. They don't respect me at all, they follow a big headed guard by the name of Golden heart. But I'd say his heart is as golden as silver. After some more walking we reach the Crystal Castle, and in the middle was the famous Crystal heart I read about. I then turn to Shining.
"Requesting to take a closer look at the heart Captain.".
"Go head Commander Pete.". I approach the Heart slowly, I don't want to rush the moment. As I get closer I notice the heart change from the glowing blue to a dull gray.
"Pete... Back away from the Heart.". I can't tell how's talking at the moment, the heart is having some kind of power over me, making me want to get closer.
"Commander Pete, back away from the heart.". I was so close to the Heart now that it was now the deepest dullest gray I have ever seen. I then reach out to touch the Heart.
"Pete n-".
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! ". As my hand touched the Heart, a great force exploded out from the heart knocking me back forty hooves. I then started to feel the weight of unconsciousness fall upon me.
I'm in a big room, it's dark with the only light being a light in the middle of the room. I walk over to it and realize that it's a small version of the Heart. It then hear a voice behind me.
"Your vault Pete, it's trying to open. Why do you not let it open?". I spin around to see the woman from the house dream.
"What do you mean, what vault? Who are you?". The woman turns around and starts walking into the darkness.
"In time, in time...". She then disappears leaving me with the heart. I turn around to see that the heart is now the gray color it was when I got near it. It then started to get bigger, then the gray started to swirl around inside of it. It started to break the Heart from the inside. The Heart started to crack and chip, it the broke into two pieces, making it look like a broken heart. The darkness then started to leak out and swirl around me, faster and faster it went. Until it entered my body, it started to break me from the inside as well, until it ripped its way right out of my chest. I looked down to see my heart incased in some kind of shadow and darkness, then blood started to come. It poured out, never stopping as it continues it's river down my body. Then the world started to spin and turn as mind awakened.
"Look I think he's coming to.". I open my eyes, only to notice my sight was blurry due to the magic field around me.
"Where am I?". I try to sit up but I'm stopped by an enormous pain erupting all throughout my body. I quickly lay back down.
"Pete, are you ok? How do you feel?". I can't really hear who voice it is though the magic field.
"Whoever I'm talking to I'm fine, I must return to my duties. Let me outta this bed.". I start to sit up once more but again I'm stopped by the pain erupting through my body once more.
"Are you delusional! Why would I let you get out of this bed!".
"Because I have a royal duty and a promise that I'm going to bucking keep!". I sit up quick then before, trying to out wit the pain. But I break again and lay back down.
"Who am I talking to?".
"It's me Pen.". What? How did he get here?
"Pen? I should've recognized this magic field. So how did you get here so Quickly?". There was a long pause but he eventually spoke.
"Commander Pete, you've been out for two weeks.". I then snapped.
"What...". Two weeks, a lot could happen in Two weeks The Changlings could come back, griffon attack, Celestia forbid Discord! I start to hyperventilate as I think of what has happened. Then a new voice started to talk.
"Pete calm down. Me and Luna are alright, nothing happened while you were out.".
"Your lying. I can hear it in your voice Celestia. What happened while I was out?". There was a long pause. Something bad did happen didn't it?
"Are you sure you would like to know?".
"Celestia, please tell me.".
"We, we found another human, his name is Lain.".
