Chapter Three : The Elements of Harmony

Previous Chapter

It seemed like ages ago that I had been standing there, atop Getter Eagle with my younger brother. Because of those idiots firing the Getter Ray Bomb, I'm sure that now my home world was completely uninhabitable. I knew the effects of nuclear radiation, and what the repercussions would be if any trigger happy jackass decided he didn't like something being in the same world as him. That's one thing I really can't stand. People that act on their fear, rather than trying to understand. Because of someone else's fuck up, Jin and I were blasted off the face of the Earth. We were dead.

Or were we?

Darkness. It was all Gou Tetsu could see after the Getter Ray Bomb's eruption had encased him. It was as if death it's self was holding him in it's arms, keeping him but a vague consciousness as his mind sparked to. This had to be the afterlife. After the lives that they had taken, though evil, he surmised that whatever God ruled their world had punished him by making him drift in nothingness for all eternity. However, he soon felt a tinge of an ache in what he could only assume was his left arm. At a snail's pace, feeling slowly flowed back into him, and he soon could feel his own aching body again. He tried to weekly move, and his limbs slowly responded. First, his fingers, his toes, and everything else soon followed. They all  creaked and snapped in protest, causing him to let out a weak groan as he was soon functioning once again. His eye lids gently lifted, and he then had a view of the nightmarish void he was now drifting through.

It was a depressing, deep grey plane that seemed to stretch on as far as the Universe it's self. Baring an even lighter shade of grey, almost steel colored, tendrils of some sort of strange energy drifted in a spiral to one point far at the other end of the void. The Fox's mind was assaulted by a flurry of questions he desperately wanted answers to. What exactly was this place? Was this in fact, the afterlife? Was he doomed to drift through nothingness forever? At least one of his questions would be answered, when he saw his form grow dark with a shadow, casting over his comparably tiny form.

Quickly jolting himself around, he found himself body-to-face with the machine he had previously piloted when he was among the living. The Getter Robo hovered but a foot away from him, it's ominous neon yellow eyes sparking to life and illuminating it's full form. Gou instantly noticed that this one was extremely different from the Getter he used to control in combat. Rather than being adorned with the crimson red armor than the iconic original, this one's armor was pitch black, with a golden belt wrapping around it's waist. Over the lower half of it's face, was a heavily armored mouth plate. Around this ominous super robot's neck was the scarf that the Tetsu Twins had taken to wearing, super-sized to fit the titanic machine. Last but not least, and very much to Gou's liking, were the very pair of Sky Blue V-shaped sunglasses that the young fox fashioned. Gou let out a small whistle showing his admiration. This wasn't half bad, to be completely honest with himself.

"Lookin' snazzy, Getter Robo. I'm seriously liking this new design!" His gruff voice caused the Getter to, and very much to his surprise, move it's head up to meet his studying gaze. Gou was taken back by this, very much awed that this machine was somehow moving of it's own free will. Calming down quickly, Gou was now extremely elated that his Getter Robo, his life long friend, could now function independently. He let out a quick excited laugh before preparing to speak. He was instantly interrupted by a voice he had not heard in many, many years.

"G. . . .Gou. . . .Tetsu. . . . ." The strong, deep male voice caused the fox's eyes to  widen profusely as his ears adjusted in disbelief. Could this be? No. . .He had left them years ago, when even Gou was still just a young kit.

"AKIRA!"

At the mere mention of that name, at the tiniest sound of his voice, Gou's mind rocketed back in time. His faint memory gave him the blurry vision of a figure, baring a strong resemblance to him and his little brother.

"I have to go now, little brother."

"W-where are you going, Akira?"

"I have. . .things. . .I need to take care of."

". . . . . . . . .Take me with you!"

"Heh heh heh. . . .You truly do have our father's fearless spirit, little brother. I'm sorry, Gou. This is something I don't want you to get involved in, for your own safety."

"B-But. . .Akira!-"

"Not another word, Gou."

". . . ."

"Take care of Jin, will you?"

"W-Will I see you again, big brother?"

"This isn't goodbye, Gou. I'll always be with you, in your heart, and at your back. No matter where you are, and no matter what you are doing. I will always watch over you, Gou Tetsu. Never forget that."

Gou's eyes filled with tears, which he quickly wiped away. He lifted his head back up to the machine floating in front of him, returning his look.

"A-Akira? Is that . . . really you?"

The Black Getter Robo turned it's view to the side, and to his surprise yet again, it responded.

"Yes . . . . . . .  and no . . . . . . I cannot explain yet. You are not ready for the truth."

Gou gave a confused look, and tried to think of something to retort with. His mind was swimming with thousands of unanswered questions. However, the Black Getter baring his eldest brother's voice disregarded them.

"Jin . . . He is in trouble, Gou. I can feel him crying out for your help."

Gou's expression immediately intensified with concern and anger.

"W-What!? What do you mean?!"

In response, the Black Getter Robo's mouth guard flipped down, and the main chamber door on the hidden lower face opened to reveal the pilot's seat.

"There is not much time, Gou. Quickly, we must depart! Climb inside, and let us go to our youngest sibling!"

Gou's maw contorted with a self conceited grin.

"You never did like answering any of my questions, you elusive bastard." He chuckled. Without another word, he climbed into the cockpit, and took a hold of the controls with a furious grip. The chamber door closed, and the mouth guard flipped back up in succession.

"Alright, Akira. If that's really you in there, then guide me out of here!" Gou called out. Gou had not noticed this earlier, what with his older sibling seemingly possessing the Getter, but a faint eight pointed scarlet star had appeared at the center of the spiral at the edge of the void.

"Heh, talk about showing me the way. Alright Akira, let's go!"

"GETTER WING!"

As they flew, they gained speed. The deep steel hued tendrils reached out and engulfed them, tremendously increasing their Getter Energy as they lurched forward. Gou was not the least bit detoured by the increasing G-Force, and held the controls with a near bone crushing grip. He wouldn't stop. He had to find Jin. He had to save his brother from another untimely demise. The light enveloped them, taking them far away from the void. Gou's eyes had shut due to the blinding light, but he was still very much coherent. Without warning, his arms and legs were thrown out to each side, and the feeling of the seat of the Getter Robo disappeared out from under him. He soon felt himself drifting quickly for a moment, a feeling of nausea briefly gripping him before it faded, replacing it's self with the feeling of solid ground beneath his feet.

His eyes sluggishly opened, and his hearing faded back into focus. As it did so, he was greeted by voices.

"I-Is it a monster?"

"It looks more like some sort of an advanced contraption. . ."

"I hope it doesn't mean any harm. . ."

"What in the world could it possibly be?"

"Someone should call the guard!"

Gou's vision finally regained full focus, and he was taken aback by what now filled his view. He seemed to be in some sort of primitive Medieval Era town, and he was surrounded by.  .  . Multi colored horses? What in the hell was this place? Gou looked to his left, to his right, and all around himself, studying these strange new creatures. He seemed to be taller than them. Huh, they were little ponies.

"You there! Halt! In the name of Equestria, state your name and business, or we will have no choice but to attack!"

The sudden shout caused Gou to lurch around, facing whoever had called him out. More of these strange ponies had arrived, and were all heavily armored. The were armed with long spears, all pointed at him. Gou huffed, and threw his scarf aside. Wait. . . that wasn't his own arm he had just seen placing his scarf over his shoulder. He gasped, and his head jolted downward to study himself. Much to his surprise, it seemed that he and the Black Getter Robo had become one. This explained why he no longer felt himself sitting in the pilot's seat. He was the pilot's seat.

"I will not ask again, steel beast! State your name and business!"

Gou huffed arrogantly, turning his attention back to guards. He eyed them with caution, and calmly spoke back to them.

"My name doesn't matter. As for what I'm doing, you can take comfort in the fact that I mean none of you any harm. I'm looking for. . .someone I know." His reply caused the lead Guard to put her spear to the Getter Robo's throat. Gou growled in angry anticipation.

"I ordered you state your name, monster." Her grim tone didn't put Gou off in the slightest. In fact, in a blur of black steel, he completely smashed the spear into tiny splintered pieces. The Guards all stumbled back in fear, all whispering among themselves as Gou spoke once more.

"I said my name doesn't matter. I also said that I mean you no harm, so that should suffice. Don't make me revoke that statement, lady." His own grim tone dwarfed the Lead Guard's completely, and she stepped back, shakily gripping what was left of her spear as the surrounding citizens all backed away quickly. Gou turned his back to the group of defenders, and began to walk away.

"If you can't help me, then I'll just find him mysel-"

Gou was knocked forward a few steps, as he felt a powerful beam of energy connect with his back. He grimaced from within, and menacingly turned to see the Lead Gaurd's horn aglow with an orange hue. She smirked, taking pride in the fact she had scored a blow against this mechanical beast, to what little effect it had.

"I commanded you to state your identity and business, whelp. If you fail to heed my commands once more, I will have no choice but to strike you again."

As much as Gou's dislike for these people was growing, he could understand how their primitive society feared that which they did not understand. The fox smirked mischievously, deciding a good scare would ward them off rather than ripping them to pieces.

"GETTER BEAM!"

The Black Getter Robo's mid section opened up, revealing some sort of amplifying transparent piece as it sparked with a bright neon pink energy. Aiming it into the sky, the force from the succeeding blast knocked the nearby Guards and citizens right onto their collective plots. The beam fired high into the sky, and with a vibrant explosion, briefly lit the town. The Guards, now cowering on the ground at the daunting attack, all whimpered as they got to their feet.  In a fit of yelps and terrified screams, the guards and nearby towns folk all scrambled away. Gou huffed triumphantly as he stormed away, beginning his search of the small town. That was until, a powerful gust of wind caught his attention. In the distance, he heard a voice cry out.

"GREAT AVALANCHE!"

Gou didn't even have to contemplate. He knew that only one person knew what that phrase invoked, and the sheer power that followed. That was, without a doubt, his younger brother. He dawned his Getter Wing, and took off to the spot that the wind had eminated from.

"If I cannot punish you using pain, then this is the only means of which I can truly break that annoying little spirit of yours, Jin Tetsu." The poisonous yet enticing tone of Nightmare Moon bore deep into the mind of Jin Tetsu, signaling his despair and fear for the over powering mare as she reached for his groin.

Gou Tetsu landed but a few yards away, assessing the situation. He could immediately surmise that whoever that was holding down and having her way with his brother was the enemy, and he would waste no time seeing if he was wrong. He silently uttered the command for the Getter Tomahawk, but was alarmed when nothing happened.

"W-What the? Why isn't the Getter Tomahawk appearing?" He thought aloud. Again, he heard Akira speak to him from within the Getter Robo.

"So it seems the Getter Robo has changed to fit your form, for whatever reason the Getter Rays saw this fitting. Call for your Katanas, Gou!" The fox cursed, looking to his belt to see that the sheaths dangling from it bore no weapons. He pondered for a moment, and could only assume that like the original Getter's shoulders, the sheaths would generate weapons when commanded. He took a deep breath, and shouted the command at the top of his lungs.

"GETTER KATANA!"

His suspicions were confirmed when a single Katana jutted forth from the sheath. The shout had thankfully not alerted the muscular foe, who was much more distracted with molesting the limp form of Jin. With a powerful pitch, Gou thrusted the Katana forward, and it flew with great speed through the air as it whistled. Gou sneered in success as he saw it embed in the the horn of the vile enemy, her attention being focused on it now, rather than his younger brother.

"W-What in Equestria. . ." Nightmare Moon uttered as she turned her attention in the direction from where it had been thrown. She gasped as a new machine had taken position but a foot away from her. It made no movement, only staring down at her with pure hatred as it suddenly spoke.

"Let. My. Brother. Go." The frightening nearly in-pony growl put off the Alicorn just long enough for Gou to embed the Black Getter Robo's fist deep within her gut. Nightmare Moon coughed in pain as she was sent flying backwards with back breaking speed, skidding and rolling to a halt on her back. The Katana detached from her horn, quickly spiraling into a nearby building and completely cutting through. It disappeared inside without another sound. As the dust cleared and the Alicorn weekly picked herself back up, she jolted in fear and took a step back as once again, this new Getter Robo stood only inches from her. Gou slammed a decimating elbow into her shoulder, knocking her violently into the ground with a sickening crunch.

"Get up." The composed yet obviously infuriated tone of the pilot put the mighty Princess of the Night into a fearful state, as she surmised what to do. Taking the time to think turned out to be a mistake on her part, as she felt a heavily armored foot slam into her side.

"I said GET UP!"

The Alicorn was thrown perfectly onto her feet, nearly tripping over herself as she regained her balance. Her brief fear was replaced with a great rage, as she spouted a lecture to the machine.

"Yet another one of you "Getter Robo" fools has appeared, so it seems! Do not think you have bested me, worm! You simply had the advantage of surprise on your hands, and you so lowly struck me in silence rather than facing me yourself! I shall do away with you, just as I have done to your pathetic brother, Jin Tets-" The Alicorn was instantly interrupted by another Katana embedding in her horn.

"You talk way too much, kid." Gou insulted, grabbing another Katana from the sheath on his golden belt. He took a very samurai-esque pose, holding his Katana out in front of him. Nightmare Moon snarled in rage, wrenching the Katana from her horn as she threw it aside.

"How DARE you strike your Queen, you unappreciative, ignorant little-" Again, her ranting was cut short by yet a third Katana. Gou chuckled darkly at her expense as another Katana was pulled from it's sheath. The Alicorn was surprised none the less by the staggering speed of this new foe. It was of little concern to her. She would just have to focus. She too, took a fighting stance, and readied herself to rip this new Getter Robo apart. In an instant, the two were at each other's throats, each throwing missing blows only to have the other counter attack and repeating the lightning quick match of God-Like fisty-cuffs.

Meanwhile, back in the Castle. . .

Princess Celestia walked with a heavy heart into the demolished throne room, and eyed a center patch on the cold stone floor. She fought back tears as her magic sparked to life, lifting a hidden plate and revealing a square shaped gap in the floor.

"Oh, dear sister. . .I am sorry, but you have given me no choice-!" She spoke aloud. In response to the machanism opening, a large pedestal lifted into her view.

"-But to use these!"

It was globe themed, having smaller pedestals revolving around it. On each of these, was a vibrant gem, all different colors resembling the rainbow. The Princess floated to the top, and used her magic to lift each into her grasp. From the globe topping the structure, a sixth gem appeared, baring resemblance to a six pointed star. As they neared her, each responded to the other, and began to quickly revolve around her until they were but a blurred ring. Raw power boomed from the Alicorn's form, as she was nearly shrouded by the radiant light.

She took back to the night sky, the safety of Jin Tetsu and her people being the only concern to her now. However, what she saw next would be completely unexpected.

"GETTER BEAM!"

The earth shaking shout from Gou signaled the Getter Robo's signature move, and a florescent pink beam erupted from it's stomach. Nightmare Moon used her magic to create a blue glass like shield, that completely dispelled the attack. As she lowered it, she found Gou only inches in front of her, and that is when she took a grim notice of the scytche like blades adorning it's right arm. With a quick slash, the blades gouged through her tough armor, and deep into her well formed abdominals. She grunted in pain as blood gushed from the spot, and was thrown back far in the air. Princess Celestia's fear soon turned to hope, for she, though this one was much different in style, recognized the newcomer as yet another Getter Robo. She smiled, quickly diving into the battle.

Gou took quick notice of the approaching Alicorn, and readied for a two-on-one duel. This thought was thrown aside as the Princess held up a halting hand.

"I am not your enemy, Getter Robo. I too, wish to put a stop to my sister's actions." The words calmed Gou, but his grasp on the situation at hand had just gotten that much more prominent.

"So that's your sister. . . She's a real piece of work." He wheezed.

"I'm hoping you've got an end game, ma'am. I don't know how much longer I can keep using her as a punching bag, no offense to you." He chuckled.

The Princess motioned the the blurry ring revolving around her. As she looked down to motion to said artifacts, the sight of the destroyed Getter Robo below caused her to gasp.

"J-Jin Tetsu! What has happened to him!?" She cried out in worry.

Gou grimaced, and gave her the blunt truth.

"Well, I ain't gonna' sugar coat this. Seems like your sister got the best of him, and tried to. . ." He nearly gagged as he continued.

". . .Rape him."

This plucked deeply at Celestia's heart strings, and a new found rage burned brightly within her. Her hands balled up into tight fists, and tears welled at her eyes. From this, she now knew that the Luna she once was kin with was long gone. Luna would never do such a vile thing to such a young colt, let alone hurt or injure any of her people. She had been replaced by a heartless, vile monster. The Princess turned her attention back to Gou.

"You, courageous Mechanical Warrior. Do you have a name?" She inquired shakily. Gou chuckled at the similarity between the two of them before responding.

"Call me Gou. Gou Tetsu. I guess you could tell from my name that Jin and I are brothers."  Princess Celestia nodded to him, before introducing herself.

"I am Princess Celestia, ruler of this land of Equestria, the one who raises the sun at dawn to start the day, and lower it to begin the night. However, this is not the case tonight. My sister has refused to lower the moon. She has grown petty and jealous because our subjects worship and thrive in the day, and in turn, shun and sleep through the night. It is a sad fact that my subjects fear that which they do not understand, and I so deeply wish that my sister could have accepted this truth. She could have tried to help them understand, rather than lowering herself to this evil state."

Gou sneered angrily. So his suspicions were correct. These ponies were just a ignorant, cowardly folk that would jump at the sight of their own shadows. He now knew the root of the problem, and why Nightmare Moon had become the dark, sinister figure he was fighting. He understood what it was to be shunned and hated, and now felt the tiniest bit sorry for their ignorant foe.

"She's going to pay for what she's done. I'll try my best not to rip her throat out, but I can't promise I won't at least knock some sense into her. I just can't forgive her for trying to do what she had planned to my brother."

The realization of Gou's love for his younger caused the pastel Alicorn even more grief. This poor soul nearly had to witness his younger sibling get violated by her hate-blinded sister. She grimaced, and spoke to Gou once more.

"Gou Tetsu, I deeply apologize that you and your brother had to endure the hardships of my mistakes. I should have stayed and protected Jin Tetsu, rather than fleeing to get the Elements of Harmony. It was because of my fear that your younger. . .had to. . . .had to endure the lustful ambitions of that monster." Her voice was shaking greatly as she spoke, causing Gou to feel deeply sorry for her. She truly was a good mare, shedding tears over someone she barely even knew. Gou smiled and sighed in condolence, as he placed a gentle hand on the Princess's shoulder.

"Don't even think like that, Princess. I don't blame you one bit. If anyone's to blame. . .You know who that is. So let's finish this together!" He grabbed her hand within his metal palm, and gave it a gentle squeeze. The Princess smiled affectionately as she nodded, and turned their attention back to the recovering Nightmare Moon, who howled in rage.

"You both shall die together, you sad, pathetic little-" For the fourth God Forsaken time, she found a Katana stuck in her horn. With a booming cry of rage, she charged forward, hot white energy radiating under her as she careened at them. Gou unsheathed another Katana as Celestia prepared the Elements of Harmony. The three of them battled ferociously in the skies above, the rage fueled power of Nightmare Moon being almost too much for the two to bare alone.

Far on the ground below, Jin faded in and out of consciousness. His battered body failed to respond to any of the commands he sent out, and he surmised that it would be too late to save him when the white mare and his brother had done away with Nightmare Moon. Those thoughts were put to rest when that strange voice, whom Jin had thought to be the Getter Rays from before, spoke to him once more.

"It is not over, Jin Tetsu. Look to your left."

Jin grunted as it took a great amount of effort just to move his head to the side. Thankfully his neck still responded, sluggishly turning his gaze. The broken scrap heap that was once Getter Three blurred into his vision, and Jin took notice to the neon green liquid that had poured from and pooled around it. It was slowly flowing towards him, and it soon seeped up against his arm. In a tiny flash of brilliant green light, he could feel his arm again, briefly flaring in pain as the strange fluid seeped up his wrist and into his wounds. One by one, the wounds began to disappear. This Getter Energy liquid seemed to be healing him, right down to the torn scraps of clothing that Nightmare Moon had ripped apart.  Jin wheezed in relief as the healing liquid had encased his body, dissipating his wounds and returning his form to it's once pristine state.

"The Getter Rays never abandoned you, Jin. They have always been with you, just I have been." This statement stopped Jin as he shakily stood. That statement clued him on the the fact that this voice wasn't at all the Getter Rays. Who could it possibly have been? There was no time to ponder on the identity of the disembodied guide. He had to help his brother and that mare. However, how was he to do so without his Getter Robo? His question was answered when what was left of the neon green liquid flowed back into the scrapped machine. Though still very much broken, it's optics and the green plating on it's chest began to glow with the same aura.

"Climb back inside, Jin." The foreign voice commanded. Jin had no time to argue, and did as the voice had told him to. He skittered back through the massive hole in what remained of the torso, and was briefly encased in darkness. He sat there for a moment, wondering why nothing was happening. The Getter, though somehow sparking back to life, still didn't replace his view through it's eyes. He tried placing his hands on the machine, talking to it, and even kicking it when he grew frustrated at his failed attempts. Once again, the voice sounded off, and guided him with it's next words.

"Command the Getter to activate, Jin! Use the power of your will to bring it back to life, and rekindle it's shattered form!" Command it to active? What exactly did that mean? Was there some sort of special command he had to shout, just like all other functions concerning the Getter's power? He would only know if he tried something.

"Getter, let's go!" He called. His voice was met with more dwindling silence as he cursed silently.

"C'mon Getter, showtime!" He shouted. Still nothing.

A cry of pain caught his attention, followed by a despairing cry of protest. He hurriedly poked his head outside of the Getter's chest cavity. He was shocked to see Nightmare Moon, brandishing one of Gou's Getter Katanas. It had completely run the Black Getter Robo all the way through, and she soon tossed him to the side. Gou's machine careened to the ground, impacting with a quaking crash as rubble and dust was thrown in all directions. The white Alicorn from before bore an extremely worried expression, and Jin soon had the same. He had to get his Getter Robo working again, and damn quick. He went deep into thought, trying to call out to the super robot with his mind. His mental commands were met with a phrase crossing his train of thought.  A single phrase crossed his mind in response, and his eyes shot open with fury.

"GETTER ROBO, POWER UP! SWITCH ON!"

With the command of that final rallying cry, Jin's efforts to rekindle the Getter Robo came to fruition. The Getter Energy like liquid that was previously pouring from it's dents and fractures turned of it's own accord, levitating back into the damaged machine. In a booming flash of pure Getter Energy, the super robot became but a black silhouette in the orb of erratically radiating power. The sound of the energy eruption and the bright flash was noticed by the warring Alicorns in the sky above. The both stopped completely, gazing down at where it had originated from.  As their gazes locked onto the point, in the few short seconds it had taken, a powerful gust of wind turned their attention elsewhere.

A blur of deep crimson, pearl white, and shining gold zoomed by, rocketing high into the sky before disappearing above the clouds. Riding atop the nose of Getter Eagle like a rocket propelled surf board, Jin Tetsu grinned with determined fury as he cackled aloud.

"Thanks for sticking with me, Getter Rays." Jin uttered. Kneeling down on one knee, he prepared himself to jump.

"Alright Nightmare Moon, round two! Let's go! CHANGE, GETTER ONE!"

Celestia and Nightmare Moon both returned their attention to each other. Celestia now bore a confident smirk, and Nightmare Moon an expression of new found worry. She knew that Jin Tetsu, though his speed compared to his elder brother was much slower, his timing and use of each of the Getter's forms was a force to be reckoned with. She redoubled her efforts and surmised stopping Celestia would be the best course of action before Jin

Tetsu returned. They clashed, and the vibrant eruption could be seen from all the fleeing citizens below.

A flurry of Elemental Powered fists and rage fueled strikes impacted into both of the opponents as they fought, though continuing to exchange blows as if they were nothing. The fight between the two Gods came to a halt as a Getter Tomahawk nearly sliced Nightmare Moon in two. With a powerful beat of her black wings, she darted to the side as the Getter Robo of Jin Tetsu followed close by. He slowed to a stop a few feet under the foe, raising the machine's fist up in preparation for an uppercut. Catching her right on the chin, Nightmare Moon was tossed upwards with great force. In succession, Jin fired a Getter Beam, impacting right in the Alicorn's midsection. However, the vile antagonist chopped down into it with her fist, sending the energy blasting off in either direction.

Not wasting any time running her mouth, her eyes shined over with a bright white light, and the energy under her flared with her temper. She fired a gigantic beam of magic from her horn, and it was headed right towards Celestia. The Alicorn charged up the Elements of Harmony, and greeted the blast with her own. In a mixture of golden energy and rainbow light, the blast matched if not succeeding it in size. The power struggle was on as the two poured all of their will and power into the attack, their magic enacting a God's game of Tug-of-War.

"Here, I'll help you!" Jin called out.

"GETTER BEAM!"

Adding his own bar of enery to the assault, the attack doubled in size, though only helped to keep the beams equally clashing in the middle. Jin and Celestia grunted frustratedly in unison.

"This isn't working! We're just leveling it out! We need more power!" He called. Nightmare Moon snarled furiously, pouring even more power into the beam as her power increased.

"THIS SHALL MARK YOUR DOOM, YOU FOOLS! NOW, BE DESTROYED!" She howled, adding even more power to her attack. It slowly lurched towards them, and it seemed that it the end was nigh for the two, even with the Elements of Harmony. The beam grew dangerously close, and both Jin and Celestia prepared for the worst.

"GETTER BEAM!"

Though their focus was still on the struggle, they could easily make out the form of Gou Tetsu's Black Getter Robo. He too had added the power of the Getter Beam to the Elemental Attack, halting and quickly forcing back Nightmare Moon's.

"No one, and I mean NO ONE, runs me through with my own Katana!" His growl was muffled by the assault, though still audible by the wary Princess of the Night. The Dark Alicorn's eyes widened in fear, for she knew there was no avoiding what was to come. With a protestant howl of rage, the last thing she saw before the beam encased her was the silhouette of the trio. The Elemental blast struck her with such force, that her now prone form was knocked all the way to the moon far in the distance. The rainbow energy swirled and tendrilled around her, forcing her deep within the sphere of white rock. As the beam dispelled, the form of her head was carved into the moon, and a faint whinnie echoed hauntingly across the land of Equestria.

They had done it.

It was finally over.

The trio hovered in the air for a moment, the reality of what had just happened almost to joyful to be real. The brief silence was broken by a triumphant whoop from Jin, raising his Getter's fist high into the air.

"WE DID IT! We finally put that bastard to rest! I hope she likes ruling her "kingdom" from a rock in the sky! Ye-heah!!" His victory cries caused Celestia's posture to slacken with grief, as a single tear ran down her smooth snout. Gou turned and calmly spoke to his brother.

"Jin. . .That was this mare's sister." That single set of morose words dug deep into the Diamond Dog's gut, and he now understood just what had taken place. He immediately turned his attention to the Princess, apologizing profusely. She waved a hand about in the air, and replied to him.

"Please Jin, do not apologize. Not only did you have no idea, but my sister stooped low enough to. . ." She choked on her next words, her sorrow for Jin being more apparent for that of her now imprisoned sister.

"She had. . .tried to. . .have her way with you, after beating you into that near death state. She deserved all of what she recieved. Though I hope that. . .maybe, one day, she will come to her senses and stop this nonsense. If imprisonment is what it must take, then my sister must sit and stew over her brash actions. Even if it takes One Thousand Years. . ." The posture of the Getter also dropped, mirroring that of the grieving Alicorn. The Princess regained her regal pose, and turned back

to the twin Getter Robos.

"Though it pains me so to lose my sister, I have gained two new allies. . .and friends, in her place. I thank you, on behalf of my people, for showing the utmost courage and will to fight in this trying situation, and aiding me in the act of bringing my sister's selfish ambitions to a halt. You both, you Tetsu Twins, and your fighting machines, The Getter Robos, will receive the highest of honors. I, Princess Celestia, not only gift you with this, but in succession. . ." She stopped for a moment, and extended both arms out the the twins. She bore an expression of true affection, believing that together, the Tetsu Brothers would be able to fill the hole in her heart that Luna had left behind.

"I will offer unto you the highest honor of all. . .my friendship. Will you, the Tetsu Twins, accept it?"

The Tetsu Twins were truly touched, not only after defeating Nightmare Moon, but to have the now singular ruler of this new world give them the chance to make a new life for themselves, and gain the trust of a truly powerful being. The twins both exchanged a look of pure happiness. This was one thing that they had never felt in a very long time, since the short era of when they were but young kits. The memories of birthdays past, and other seasons gone along side their families they once had, flooded into thier minds like a tidal wave of pure joy. The reality of where they were struck them like a Getter Beam. This was a world where the Reptilian Empire was void- a place where Invaders could not reach out to harm them, and the ominous Shin Getter Dragon could not appear. Where the name "Getter G" bore no significance, and it's power was unknown to these folk. Where war, famine, disease, and sadness were terms that remained faint in the minds of the denizens of this realm. Gou, experiencing briefly the ignorance of these ponies, realized that they had never experienced what they had endured, which were the long, trying wars and many deaths of colleagues, friends, and family. They were but a rare occurrence in this beautiful world, where all lived in the harmony of one another. They were looking forward to living here, and leaving their comparably barbaric world behind.

However, fate again would act in such a way as to prevent them from living there, in that age of simplicity, to be the most powerful warriors among pony kind. What would happen next would cause them to feign from responding to the Godly Alicorn's offer.

From the moon raising high above them in the heavens, a tiny spark emanated. The trio gazed upon it with squinted eyes, their minds filling with the one possibility that Nightmare Moon had somehow escaped her brief imprisonment. To throw their similar theories aside, something much different, though not at all a negative out come, rocketed back from the moon. The multicolored energy tendril that had banished the vile foe that was Nightmare Moon careened back, even faster than light's speed it's self. It seemed to have targeted the pearl white Alicorn, who only had but a millionth of a second to respond, obviously to no avail. Only an inch from the Princess's form, it violently ripped into two separate beams, and instantly enveloped the Getter Robo duo. In a fearful yelp, the Tetsu Twins could not even react in time. The beam struck them both, and without another word, rid the world of their forms before vanishing completely. Princess Celestia could only gaze with great confusion and sorrow, as the spaces that had previously held the Getter Robos was now void of any shape, save the wind that blew gently by.
