I sleepily walked to my bedroom window, I opened the curtain and Ponyville spread out before me. I smiled, today was my first day here in Ponyville so you could say I was somewhat excited. I then remembered that my brother had invited me to brunch this morning and I quickly got dressed. I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is SilverLuck Nightshade I am a 19 year old unicorn, I had a Silver Colored coat and a night black mane, with a pair of gold eyes, my cutie mark was a 4 leaf clover Lined down the center with silver. I had recently moved to Ponyville from Canterbury. I had decided to move here after hearing that my brother Stormwing who was 9 years older than me had settled down here with his new wife Fluttershy. I walked out of my house wearing a pair of nice jeans, a shirt and vest, and I never went anywhere without my lucky trilby (a smaller version of the fedora). Locking the door I made my way to Fluttershy's cottage. When I arrived, I knocked on the door. At first nothing, then slowly the door opened, standing in the doorway were 2 foals both Pegasus. "UNCLE SILVER!" the squealed with delight, both jumping into my arms, I laughed "hey guys". I entered the small cottage letting both of the foals run off into the house, Stormwing then came around the corner, "BROTHER" he exclaimed with much joy. He walked up to me and gave me a brotherly hug. "hey storm its good to see you to" I said feeling crushed. We the walked into the kitchen where Fluttershy was just finishing the food we would be eating for brunch. She turned and smiled at me "oh hello there Silver" she said to m. It had been over a year since I saw them last, which had been at their wedding. I bowed "m'lady" I said jokingly she chuckled "okay go sit down with the foals brunch is ready". After Brunch which was delicious by the way, we sat down in their living room and talked while the two foals sat in the center playing with their toys. "So Silver, how are you liking Ponyville?" Storm asked. I shrugged "I can't really say I got here last night and then immediately came here this morning" I replied. Fluttershy then spoke up "oh you should visit the Carousel Boutique you can get wonderful apparel there, just tell the owner your Stormwing's brother and she will hook you up with some impressive designs", I smiled "sounds like a great idea I will head over there after I leave". "oh and don't forget to hit the Ponyville library, I know how much you enjoy your books" Storm said. I chuckled at that it was true I indeed was somewhat of a book worm. "Sounds like a plan, well its good to see you again storm" I said getting up from my seat. "Same to you Silver" he replied. They waved as I left the cottage behind, the sounds from the young foals rang out "bye uncle silver" I smiled such a wonderful family. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Making Friend's //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Making Friend's Chapter 2 Making Friend's After my visit to my brothers house I headed for the Carousel Boutique. It was a somewhat tall building at least compared to the other buildings in Ponyville, it was white with dashes of gold purple and other bright colors. The little bell above the door rang with a "ding" as I entered the shop, and a voice rang out "i'll be right there". Moments later a White mare with curly purple hair and a trio of diamonds for a cutie mark entered the room. "Hello" she said with a cheerful smile on her face, "uhh hi I was told to come here for clothes" I said, "and you were told correctly" she replied, then asked "might I get a name dear sir?". "oh right my name is SilverLuck Nightshade, Brother to StormWing Nightshade". Her eyes light up with delight "ohh so you're Storm's brother I've heard so much about you, oh yes do come in I'll set you right up with some nice clothing". After about an hour (Rarity was quite the talker) I had finally picked out a perfect selection of clothing for myself, and was now on my way to the library. The library itself was built inside a huge tree. I Walked in and was startled to see books everywhere, piles upon piles of books were all over the ground, on bookshelves, on tables etc. "Hello?" I said slightly intimidated by the masses of books. Then from behind a large stack of books walked out a violet mare with a dark purple and a streak of pink mane, but this was no normal pony she was an Alicorn, then the pieces clicked it was Princess Twilight Sparkle. I bowed, a voice then spoke out "you must be new here" she said with a chuckle "its okay stand up". I stood,  she now had her back to me looking through one of her books. " So you run the library here?" she turned smiling and nodded "yes I have friends here in Ponyville and so instead of staying up at the castle i decided to stay here, so whats your name?" she asked. "SilverLuck Nigh-" She finished my sentence, "Nightshade so you're StormWings brother". I laughed "my brother knows everyone around here doesn't he?" She laughed with me "yes I suppose he does, doesn't he". I sighed "anyways so I was here to inquire about your books". "ahh yes I have wide selection of many books, is there any books you're looking for in particular?" she said. "actually yes there is, you don't happen to have any books on dark magic do you?" She gave me a surprised expression "you're studying dark magic?" she asked. "more like teaching it to my self but yeah I guess that's one way you could put it" I replied. Her eyes lit up "that's incredible there have only been a few ponies that have ever been able to learn unicorn magic and dark magic, what has you so interested?", " well I just felt like I wanted to learn something a little different, so i took an interest in dark magic" I replied. "okay tell you what I will send every book I have on dark magic to your house". " that's sounds great" I replied and with that I parted from the library and headed home. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue The Moon's Lover By SilverLuck36 Prologue She opened the door to her room and entered closing it behind her as she flung herself onto her bed. For her it was morning but for her sister Celestia it was evening and time to go to bed. It had been several years since Luna had returned to Equestria and yet, she still felt lost, she felt like something was missing, her heart ached for it. She knew what her heart cried out for something she believed that she couldn't obtain, love. After being on the moon for 1000 years she felt like she had forgotten how to love somepony else, not that anypony would love her back especially  after what she did to the inhabitants of Equestria those 1000 years ago. She sighed and got up walking out onto her balcony. She looked up and gazed at the full moon that enveloped the sky. These days this was the only thing that made her smile, every time she saw it she told herself "you made that Luna, that beautiful glowing moon is your creation". but it would only comfort her for so long before flashbacks of the past went through her mind. Averting her gaze from the moon she began to gaze upon the kingdom of Equestria. Far off in the distance the lights of Manehatten shown bright, in the sky the lights from the ponies who were still up at this time of night, filled Cloudsdale with a faint glow, then down just below and not to far away from Canterlot was the town of Ponyville. She Gazed upon the quaint little town for some time then smiled as memories of joy and happiness filled her head. But then that little part of her brain that she hated, reminded her of her troubles, "loveless, hated, feared, misfit" these words ran through her head. She turned away walking back into her chamber shutting the balcony doors behind her and a single tear rolling down her cheek and she asked herself "will I ever find love?" and with that she carried on with her nightly duties.
