Pinkie Pie

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

POV Lance.Corporal Ben Beal

Ponyville seemed like a decent place. Every corner was a portal to a new environment. Ben loved this about new places. The excitement of discovering someplace new was a commodity that was rarely received by him. There were fruit stalls and shops on every street. Everything was brightly coloured however, which Ben was still getting used to. His problem with it specifically was that everywhere he looked, there was pink. What was this places obsession with pink? Even If it was just the slightest line or blob of it, it pained his optical nerves to look at it. Even some of the ponies were pink, and they moved. Which hurt him even more. Eventually, after following Twilight and Fluttershy for what seemed like an eternity, they arrived at their friends home.

"We'll here we are, Ben. Sugar Cube Corner. Pinke Pie's home and work place."

Pinkie Pie? I swear to god this place is actively trying to blind me...

Walking inside he noticed a solid blue mare. About a foot taller than the two mares he already knew, she stood at around 4foot 7inches at a good estimate. She frowned at me from over the counter.

"Hello you two, who is this you have brought into the shop?"

"This is Ben. He's... Not from around here. We're taking him to see our friends and we've decided to introduce him to Pinkie first."

Ben smiled at the blue mare and nodded.

"I'm still getting used to everything here. Nice town though."

"Oh trust me, you'll settle down quite quickly here. It's a brilliant place to get associated with new ponies."

"Thank you miss..."

"Mrs. Mrs Cake."

"Uh-huh. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Ben liked this new place. Peop-ponies were kind and everyone welcomed him in with open...Forelegs. All of a sudden, everything turned pink. And he was knocked to the floor, almost smashing his skull on the wall behind him.

"Hi I heard you're called Ben, I love meeting new ponies, even if they're not ponies, it doesn't make a difference, I give every new comer a warm welcome, and a party too, oh I forgot, I'm so sorry, I always forget to introduce myself, I'm so exited, I'm Pinkie Pie, I live here in Sugar Cube Corner, where do you live? I've always wanted to meet an alien!"

"Ok, calm down. It's nice to meet you too."

"This is sooo awesome!"

The pony was a similar size to Twi' and Flutters'. But completely pink.

Argh! Enough with the fucking pink already!

"Can you please get off me so I can stand?"

"Of course, mister!"

The absolutely mental quadruped practically leaved of his upper body and he pulled himself to his feet. She had a curly, puffy mane with an ass mark of three balloons. She quite literally bounced with excitement.

"I'm guessing you're Pinkie Pie?"

"That's me! Pleasure to meet you!"

She took his hand in her hoof and shaked it like there was no tomorrow.  Her eyes were a shiny blue and were filled with a constant joyful look as they stared back intently. She was not overweight, but it was possible to tell she was a little more 'plump' than the other mares.

They spent what seemed like hours eating cupcakes and discussing different cakes mixtures. He kinda liked Pinkie Pie. She was like that guy you know who is so happy and optimistic all the time that they almost refuse to see the cons of something. Exept Pinkie Pie was without the annoying bit. Happy and optimistic but also quite realistic and down to Earth at the same time, wierd combo.

When they had finished the small 'welcome to Equestria' party, we all sat down to talk about each other.

"So then, I know about twilight and Flutters' here. But I don't know much about you. Tell me about yourself."

"I work here, at Sugar Cube Corner. Making cakes and such. I also plan parties..."

I gathered that much.

"...I am also the bearer of one of the elements of harmony!"

"Elements of harmony?"

Twilight groaned in annoyance.

"Celestia, darn it! I forgot to tell you about the elements."

"Go ahead now, I'm all ears."

"The elements of harmony are a set of five aspects of a personality that makes a good friend, and one that represents the product of the others combined. Me and my friends posses these elements. They provide a source of incredible power when combined, so they are safely guarded."

"And I am the element of Laughter!" Pinkie abruptly shouted.

"Pinkie Pie is Laughter, Fluttershy is Kindness, Rainbow Dash is Loyalty, AppleJack is Honesty, Rarity is Generosity and I posses the sixth element of Magic."

Ben thought about this for a few seconds. Friendships could create bonds powerful enough to create magic and six mares keep them locked away for safety purposes. Seems legit.

"That's cool, I guess. Just how powerful are these 'elements?'"

"They are powerful enough to preserve a life form in stone or destroy it entirely."

"Ok that could be dangerous."

"And that is why they are kept under lock and key until their use is completely necessary."

"Good. So I've met you three, I've got three others to get acquainted with."

The mares nodded simultaneously.

"Let's go meet the others!"
