While it was nice to meet up with pinkie and her friends, Maud Pie must now return to her regular life. She never did let pinkie know about her other side job…

A storm rages. A small lone airship rides the brutal winds swaying back and forth. Dipping down the airship dives gaining speed. With a sudden motion the ship’s nose rises causing the ship to arc back into a horizontal direction. The ship continued to move forward being blown around at the mercy of the wind. Rain poured upon the top of the ship causing waterfalls of rain to fall off the side. It would seem to lose control and begin to tumble down to a dive only to be barely brought back on it’s course.

Inside the ship a weary captain is trying his best to keep the airship from falling to it’s demise. In the back a petrified medic stood pushed against a corner. All color left from his face, he would stay completely still, that is until the ship would lose control and he would without delay, begin screaming. One other pony was one this ship, standing firm on it’s floor, Maud stood near the closed door holding onto the bar above the exit. Her expression one of complete blankness.

The ship took another dive downward, causing the medic to slip and fall forward. Screaming on his way toward the wall a hoof caught him under the shoulder. The ship then made a sharp rise. The captain sighed as he once again had gained control.

The medic opened his eyes to see Maud holding him, she then let go and he plopped to the floor. He then decided to stay laying there, rolling about as the ship swayed to side to side.

“Maud is Constant all right?” The captain asked looking back for a moment.

“Yes Keen, he’s fine.” she replied.

Constant only muffled something into the floor. He began to get up but as he started to the ship jerked upwards and his head crashed to the floor again. He then cursed into the floor.

“Are we close?” Maud asked while pushing into the bar she was anchoring on as the ship tilted to the right. Constant’s what seemed lifeless body rolled to her feet.

“Hopefully, its hard to tell in this dreadful weather.” Keen replied. He began to turn a few degrees right. Looking out his window he could see something though all the rain and storm. A huge colossus of a silhouet. One might think it was a mountain, but if you watched long enough would see this mountain begin to move. Keen then began to fly directly toward it.

“We've made it Maud. Are you sure you want to go ahead in this weather?” Keen wearily asked.

Maud nods and grabs hold of the glider that hung above her, putting it beside the door. Constant made his why up to his feet, he looked at Maud, her expression the same as always. The ship continued toward the giant moving beast. They shot through a break in the clouds leaving the worst of the storm behind. Through the clearer weather Keen could see two other mountains following behind, he quickly turned around looking at Maud.

“There’s three of them!” He yelled. “I-I think we should retreat, we weren't expecting more than one!” Taking a look at the controls he began to make preparations to turn around.

“I just hope that they haven't noticed us yet…” he muttered.

“No.” spoke Maud.

Constant gave her a look of bewilderment. “You can’t be serious, to take on even one of those beasts is insane, but two more!?” he shook his head, “And I'm your medic I’d like at least do my job, not watch you-”

Maud sticks a rock in Constants mouth. “Hold Boulder for me.”

She then puts both hoofs on the latch of the door. She quickly glances at Keen, he looks worriedly back. “You sure about this?”

She nods, with her glider in hand she kicks the door open. Without hesitation she jumps out of the airship.

For a moment, she just lets herself fall though the wind and the rain. Dropping like a bullet she plummets. Finally she opens her eyes, through the haze of the rain she can just make out a silhouette. Firmly grasping her glider she clicks it open. Almost instantly the wind catches the glider bringing it upwards. Maud grabs hold the two levers on the glider and quickly gains control of her flight.

She dives down increasing her speed, then slowly begins to pull upwards. Keen and Constant watch from the ship, Maud being already far ahead of them. She watches as the giant figures in front of her continue to get larger and larger. At a closer look the moving mountain would be seen as what it truly is, a giant bipedal rock golem, Thirty meters tall at least.

They are known as Boom Golems because of the large “boom” each step they take makes. They're also known to stomp on towns. Since the creatures don't seem to be able or want to communicate, drastic measure have been taken to keep the towns they endanger safe. These measures include and are exclusive to taking down the behemoths. Only a few have taken on such beasts and lived to tell the tale. Maud is the only one to have done it solo.

She now clearly sees the two other golems following behind the leading one. They were both smaller in size but still huge nonetheless. At this point Maud was nearly in their range of view. Letting go of the right handle she grabs the metal rope she had brought with her. She begins a slanted arc to the left and down going behind the first golum. With the rope now held in her mouth, trailing behind her, she grasps the right handle and firms her grip on both. Pulling back hard she flies high into the air. As she moves upward she pushes at the right handle making her turn left. As she reaches the peak of the rise she clicks the glider shut. Free flying through the air she looks straight at the golems giant face. Unmoving and static, similar to her own.

With a loud snap the glider is open again and Maud is completing her rotation around the giants neck. Wizzing just behind it, with expert control she lightly lands on it’s rocky shoulder. A rope now looped around it’s neck. Quickly taking the other end of the rope she makes a another large loop. Then, with a mighty kick, Maud knocks of a huge chunk off of the giants shoulder taking almost half of it off. The huge piece of rock begins to slide off, Maud slings the empty loop below it as it falls. It quickly catches the boulder tightening around it. Then jumping into the air Maud opens the glider once again.

At this point the golem was well aware of Maud's presence. It quickly began to make it’s pursuit. Before it could get a good start the golem's head jerked down. The boulder at the end of the rope had fallen the ropes length causing a strong tug on the gollum. This angered the golem even more as it regained it’s stance. Maud was already beginning to fly behind it making her way to the smaller golems.

The smaller golems see Maud blazing toward them with their larger brother charging behind. Taking a look back Maud sees that the golem is gaining on her rather quickly, the giant boulder flying behind it. Perfect, she thought as she approached the two smaller gollems.

At this point, the larger golem was just behind her, set on bringing her down. Cranking the handle right, skimming both faces of the two other golems doing a complete 180. Gliding by the larger golem she makes her way upwards. Crashing it’s right foot into the ground the golem keeps its face following Maud on her accent turning around to match her direction.

To the smaller golems horror the boulder attached to the larger golem's neck begins a swift swing because of the sudden turn around. Before they have time to react the boulder knocks both of their heads to rubble. Their bodies going limb, collapsing to the ground.

Pausing for a moment the larger golem takes hold of the rope and snaps it off. It’s rage building to dangerous heights. Locking on to Maud it opens it’s mouth, the inside of which begins to glow. With a sudden bust the golem shoots a spray of rocks. Before Maud can see what had just happened a flying rock hits her glider almost directly causing it to rip. She quickly plummets to the earth. Scraping through the trees she eventually hits the ground digging into the soft soil.

Rain falls on her motionless body. Gaining back her consciousness she could hear the beast approaching with each boom of its step. Lifting her eyelids the beast was towering above her it giant body ready to crush her. She closed her eyes feeling the rain start to fill the crater she had created. She then felt the earth around her being moved and squished. Opening her eyes she saw that she and the dirt around was being lifted by the golem. The golem brings Maud to it’s face, it was one filled with anger. It began to open it’s mouth higher and higher, the light inside glowing ever bright. As the golem was about to unleash it’s blast it’s head became a barrage of flying rocks. Maud looked up to see the airship whizzing by with the giant boulder hanging behind it, or what was left of it. The gollums hand began to crumble under her as it fell. She looked to her right to see the airship quickly approaching her, Constants hooves stretched out. With the little strength she had left she lifter her hoofs above her. Just as the golem's hand crumbled to the earth Constant caught hold of Maud bringing her in the ship.

They both tumbled into the middle of the ship, breathing and lying on the floor.

“Goodness Maud I thought we had lost you for a second there.” Keen gasped, breathing heavily. “I have never seen a golem do that … ever.”

“She unconscious but she should be fine.” Constant spoke grabbing his medkit.

“We'll have to report this as quickly as possible.” Muttered Keen as he put a hoof to his forehead, rubbing it back and forth. “It was also weird that there were three of them, somethings up.”

The airship glides off to the south escaping the dreary weather. Behind them three bodies of Boom Golems lay on the earth. The rain pours on the lifeless bodies relentlessly as they sink slowly into the earth. A figure stand on a cliff in the distance rather displeased with what he had seen before him. His clock rapidly whips in the wind, with a grunt he turn around leaving the graveyard before him.
