At first it was just Celestia, our mom, and me. Soon after Luna was born our mom disappeared and it was just my sisters and me. Celestia was not kind to the fact that I was nowhere too be found when she disappeared. It was then that she banished me to the Everfree forest. After a few years of thinking about why mom would leave us without notice, I realized that something was off with how mother was acting a couple of days prior to that event. She was constantly avoiding eye contact with me and Celestia but would always look Luna in the eyes. For the longest time I wondered if we did something wrong. It wasn't until Nightmare Moon surfaced that I realized the problem. Mom saw what would come of Luna and had to find a solution the problem, but something else happens while she was away which prevented her from returning. A thousand had years passed since Nightmare Moon's banishment when I noticed the moon's appearance change slightly while it was setting but the moon never set instead it went to the middle of the sky and stayed. I checked for signs of my sister's evil form's return by the Castle of the Two Sisters but I found nothing other what appeared to be six mares that were looking for something in the castle. It was not long until I heard the laughter of a dark pony accompanied with the calling of five of the six mares that went into the castle. Not long after there was a stream of rainbow in one of the towers. I then realized what happened. The six mares used as form of magic I thought only Celestia could use. It was quiet until a draconequus named Discord found himself a place to spread his chaos,which is a small town that rests on the edge of the Everfree forest called Ponyville. Where he then started to spread chaos and take Equestria from my sisters. Then something familiar happened I was watching and trying to figure out a way to stop him and try to get my banishment lifted, but then the same six ponies from the castle came out of nowhere, and they were wearing some kind of golden necklaces with strangely shaped stones, but the one that interested me the most was the lavender mare with a golden crown with a purple six pointed star on it's center. Discord thought that they could not use the strange stones against them, after what seemed like him mocking them he was struck with a powerful magic from the different gems that was combined in the purple star gem. Every year since the statue of Nightmare Moon was put on the edge of the forest there has been one day of the year some young colts and fillies give up their candy in hopes that Nightmare Moon does not eat them. But one year I was watching the kids to make sure that they don't get attacked by one of the many monsters from the forest, and all of a sudden the sky filled with clouds and a hooded unicorn mare in a carriage being pulled by two bat pony royal guards came in from the sky. All the ponies then ran back into Ponyville yelling Nightmare Moon. Not to long after the mysterious mare became known to me it was my sister Luna. It wasn't until she returned to the statue alone did I realize why she had come to this small town, she wanted to be liked for the pony she is now and not feared for the horrible mare she once was. Then that same mare that keeps appearing wherever there seems to be trouble came along and started talking to Luna. I listened in trying to figure out why she was the only one who did not run from my sister. But instead I got another piece of useful information. Her name, Twilight Sparkle. It wasn't long after that I decided to return to my home deep in the Everfree forest, because unlike Luna I am not accustomed to being up to late. As time went on I became bored of the constant dangers of the Everfree Forest and decided that I should make myself known once more, but I will wait till I think that my younger sister is ready to meet me. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: The Return //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: The Return I waited two years and decided that it was time. That year on Nightmare Night I waited for my sister to be alone and the went to her. "Luna my dear sister it has been to long since I have talked to you." I said once nopony other than Luna could hear. "Who are you?!" she said quickly. "I have only one sister, and that is Celestia!" Luna yelped, startled. "I forgot how young you were when she banished me to the Everfree. I should have figured that she wouldn't have mentioned me to you, nor to anypony else for that matter." "What are you talking about? Celestia tells me everything now since we are the co-rulers of Equestria." "She wouldn't have told you because she blames me for mom disappearing." "Princess who are you talking too?" the voice of a mare could be heard from be hind me. "Twilight, I have somepony I need you to meet." Luna began. "Has Celestia ever mentioned to you anything about us having another sister?" "No Luna, why do you ask?" "This unicorn claims to be my sister and that Celestia sent her away when I was young." Luna said angrily. "Actually Luna I am an alicorn like you and Celestia." I told her as I stretched my wings. "I have an idea, lets settle this tomorrow at the palace with Celestia. You two can stay the night at the library with Spike and me. What is your name?" Twilight asked me obviously ready to return home. "It is Blacklightning but the few ponies who know who I am call me Lightning." "Okay. Lightning you will stay on the couch on the first floor and Luna you will stay in the guest room." "Are you sure Twilight? I don't want to be in your way we could just fly to the palace tonight." Luna asked trying to be polite. "Yes I am sure and besides what if what she told us is true, do you think Celestia would want to see her this late at night?"Twilight asked hoping trying to convince the princess to stay. Later that night I was awakened by Luna who was climbing onto the sofa next to me. "What are you doing Luna?" "Nothing I just wanted to tell you that you could go and lie down in the bedroom because I don't sleep much during the night." "You know Twilight will be mad if we switch. She'll think that I force you out of the room." "Don't worry about her she is harmless and besides the bed is far more comfortable than the sofa." "Thank you Luna but I am used to sleeping on uncomfortable objects. I did live in the Everfree forest since you were a little bit more than a foal after all." "If your sure you don't want to." She waited for a response, "Well good night talk to you in the morning." She told me as she returned to her room. The next morning we worked out a way for me to get out of Ponyville without being noticed. Twilight had the idea to cover my wings with an invisibility spell so that they would not be seen. Luna had suggested that I cover my wings with a cloche so that she wouldn't have to cast the spell. I had preferred Luna's plan but Twilight's mind could not be persuaded easily so we ended up using her plan. Once we were out of the eyesight of anypony in Ponyville, Twilight removed her spell and we flew toward the palace. As we flew over Canterlot the ponies below started to follow us to see the princess but the ponies soon realized that she had an unknown alicorn with her, I wished we would have came in the night at least then we wouldn't of caused a commotion when we got here. When Celestia noticed the commotion, she wanted to know the meaning of it. I then stepped out of the crowd, she had a look of fear and sorrow on her face. "Whats wrong sister I mean no harm to anypony, not even you after my long banishment." I told her in the calmest voice I could muster so not to scare her anymore than she already was. "It's just that I thought that I would never see you again. I regretted sending you away, and I spent all the time I could trying to find you." she said frantically. "You could have at least told Luna about me!" I yelled at her," I mean the first time I talked to her in who knows how long and its an argument about if I'm telling the truth or not." I finished saddened by the fact that I used such a harsh tone of voice. Twilight, Luna, an I followed Celestia so that we could get away from the crowd, "Light I need to talk to you in private okay, I'll let you calm down before we talk. Tell one of the guards when your ready they will bring you to my room." Celestia said after we entered the palace. She then walked over to some guards and gave them instructions that I could not hear. "I'm sorry I didn't believe that you were my sister its just that Tia has never kept  anything from me before." Luna told me as she was starting to sob . "Its alright Luna she had her reasons behind keeping me from you but I must be off she is waiting for me." I said as I hugged her and turned to tell the guards that I was ready. As I was leaving the throne room I turned and noticed Luna crying into Twilight's shoulder. I'm gonna have to talk to her later. I thought to my self as we reached Tia's room. "Did you have to keep me from her Tia?" "I had to keep her from knowing about you so that I could try and keep one of my sisters." she told me as she started to cry. "I understand why you did it but she still should have been told, and right now she is an emotional wreck because she just learned about having another sister and is looking to Twilight for comfort because neither of us are there right now." "I'm sorry Light, its just I made a mistake and instead of facing it head on I tried to cover it up please forgive me." "I forgive you but it is Luna whom you should be asking for forgiveness from, she was the one emotionally hurt not me." "Okay I'll go and talk to her when were done here." Tia said in a slightly better mood. "Now that that's taken care of you should know that I have learned to use an ability that allows me to see the corruption in a pony's heart." "How is that even possible Light? I thought that was only something that Changelings could do." "Changelings can only sense emotions to feed. But how I can see how pure a pony's heart is simple. I started to do research in my banishment and I found that every alicorn has their own special ability, mine is to see into pony's hearts." ***** "Its okay Luna I'm sure Celestia had her reasons for not telling you or enypony for that matter about her." Twilight Sparkle told the crying alicorn to try and cheer her up. "I wish Pinkie was here she would have no problem cheering up Luna." she thought to herself. "Twilight I know that she had her reasons its just I wish she would have told me." Luna tried to say in-between sobs. "Hi princess why are you so sad it makes me soooooo upset when ponies are sad." said a pink mare that came from outta no-ware. "Pinkie were did you come from?" Twilight jumped surprised at the sudden appearance of one of her friends. "I noticed you two leaving Ponyville with a strange pony so I decided to follow, but when we got away from Ponyville you went and flew off so I had to try and guess were you guy went." said the bouncing pink pony. "I thought nopony was following use I guess I was wrong." In a better mood "I'm glad she followed us now I see why she is the element of laughter." Luna said starting to giggle. "Now that I'm in a better mood I think I should ask you something Twilight. Pinkie can you go and get you something sweet to eat I know your hungry." "Sure thing princess." she said hopping toward the kitchen. "Twilight I have a question that only you can give me the answer too." "What is it Luna?" "I would like to go and live in Ponyville for the time being, and would like to stay with the one person there that can contact my sister in a hurry. Could I stay at the library with you and Spike?" "I don't see why not princess, but shouldn't you make sure with Celestia first?" "She shouldn't mind and besides she is the one who is telling me to go and be with ponies other than the ones that are always at the castle." "Luna can you come see me please?" said Celestia standing in the hall that heads toward her room. "Bye Twilight." "I'll be at the library if you need me." she said walking toward the door. "Coming." When Luna finally got close to Celestia she said "I'm sorry for not telling you about her sooner its just I did not want you to be mad at me." Celestia said starting to sob softly. "It's alright Tia I'm not mad that you didn't tell me because I understand why you didn't. Now it is getting late lets set the sun and raise the moon then we can continue this conversation." About five minutes later they arrived in Celestia's room where I was taking a small nap on the ground. "Lightning wake up she is here we can finish our talk now." Celestia whispered softly nudging me. "I getting up give me a second. Luna why are you so depressed that your letting so much darkness into your heart don't you know that is how she will return." "How did you...what the....Okay now I'm confused." Luna said taking a seat next to me. "Maybe I should tell her about what I learned about my self while I was living in the Everfree Forest." "Maybe you should tell her." "Wile I was in the forest after Nightmare Moon defeated and you returned to normal I took up refuge in the old castle and read through the surviving books in the library I learned about what I was able to do which was to see the light and darkness in everypony's hearts, but that's not all I learned while there. I also learned about this." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: A Strange New Weapon //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: A Strange New Weapon "Things are progressing too quickly my queen, if this continues our plan will not be successful" "Quite drone," snapped  Chrysalis, "I noticed this before she returned to her sisters, and I have already assigned a small team of under-queens to slow her progress." "The thing is, it appears that she knows that we are watching her, and that she can give others the ability to use the “key”. She is waiting for a chance to be free of our spies so that she can bestow it on her sisters, so she won't be alone when the fighting starts." "SHE KNOWS WHAT?!" Chrysalis yelled in rage of the news, startling the guards closes them, "How could she know that we are watching her. Did I choose the wrong infiltrators or can she see through their disguises." She mumbled to herself. ***** Both Celestia's and Luna's jaws dropped when the key like sword appeared in their sister's mouth, "What is that? Where did it come from?" asked both of the confused sisters in unison. "We can't talk just yet, Tia can you raise a barrier that stops anypony or anything from listening in on us?" "Yes I can my dear sister." she said as her horn started to glow golden and a bubble of the same color surrounded the room. "Okay, to start the weapon before you is called a keyblade. It is a weapon that only a select few can wield because of the recent spike in the darkness of our world and others like it. I was given the right to wield it when some strangers appear as I was wandering in search of food. There was two boys one was Sora and the other was Riku there was also one girl traveling with them and her name was Kairi they told me of their travels and of the monsters that strive on the darkness in a living things heart. When their story was over they did a ceremony that gave me the ability to use my keyblade without it disappearing as soon as it was summoned. They then told me that I was to protect the light of the world we live on and in the process find eight others who are trustworthy enough to use the gift to to defeat the darkness and return the balance to the world." "Is this why you asked Tia to raise the barrier so that you can perform the ritual on us?" "Yes Luna, I have been being watch by somepony or something and I did not want to be interrupted during the ceremony. Now let us begin." I held out the keyblade so that Luna and Celestia could touch it, "In your hoof, take this Key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend—no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love." "Who are the other six ponies that you are looking for?" Celestia asked a bit confused on who it would be. "You know all of them well, one is your faithful student Twilight Sparkle and the others are the other five that helped her free you Luna." I said with a slight grin. "I'm a bit surprised that you know of all six of them because you only met one of them and she probably did not mention the others." Celestia said. "I only know of them because for the most part I kept what creatures of the forest I could from getting to them and I watch them return you back to normal Luna." "And you didn't help them stop me from trying to start an eternal night." Luna said starting to get an upset. "The only reason that I did not intervene was I started to feel a powerful light come out of Nightmare Moon so I stayed close enough that if something went wrong I could save them from your devilish form." Luna started to cry again, "Luna that light was you. Your inner good was starting to fight the darkness and all it needed was the helpful push of the six mares and the stones that matched their cutie marks and it would win and it did." Luna's tears started to slow but they kept on coming down. "The stones they wore are called the Elements of Harmony, and they are what I had used to banish Lu....Nightmare Moon to the moon in the first place."Celestia informed me. "Luna, would you like to learn more about the keyblades?"I asked her hoping to change the subject. "Yes I would Lightning." said Luna starting to cheer up a bit. "What would you like to know? I will tell you what I can on the subject." "Do all keyblades look the same? I mean I like the lightning bolts on yours, but that just doesn't fit me." "A keyblades physical appearance is determined by the personality of its wielder and their abilities. Now granted that if I give you the chain from mine and you put it on yours and it will change to look like my keyblade and vise versa. Now then any more questions Luna?" "No I was just wondering about the appearance of the keyblades." "Okay then, its getting late we should go to bed my sisters." "You can stay in my room Lightning, I want to sit on my tower and watch the stars." "Are you sure Luna?" "Yes I'm sure. I've told you this already I don't sleep much during the night." "Okay, see you in the morning." and with that we were off to bed. The next morning the three sisters met in the dining hall and began to discuss their mission, "Who should we go and get first?" I asked. "I say we should go to Twilight and have her introduce you to her friends and then we can decide from there." said Celestia. "Speaking of Twilight, Tia I was wondering if I could spend time with her to learn more about the ponies that we rule, and while I'm away Lightning can stay in my room." That sounds like a good idea Luna, it will give Lightning a chance to get used to staying in the palace and dealing with royal business, and you being in Ponyville will give you a chance to find your special somepony Luna." as Celestia finished Luna burst into a blush. “Tia stop it, you know that I have no desire to be with anypony right now okay.” “It’s okay Luna, she did she same thing to me when I was younger.” I whispered into her ear into her ear so that Celestia couldn’t hear. “What did you tell her Lightning?’ “Nothing Tia.” I said giggling with Luna at our sister’s curiosity. "But I want to know what you said." Celestia pouted with that face you can only get from a filly who really wants something. "You got me. I told her that you told me the same thing when I was younger." I confessed surprised that she used the same face that I used on her so many times when we were kids to get stuff. "Luna go and get your things together so that Tia and I can talk in private." "Okay I'll go and get my saddlebags ready so can leave later." After Luna left the room we continued the conversation, "Tia I know why mom left." "How could you know she didn't tell any of use why she was leaving she just got up and left without a word." "Lets put it this way I have had a lot of time to ponder on the subject ,and one pony always came up while I was thinking of reasons why she left, Luna." "Why would you say that Light we both know that she loved Luna as much as us." "That's the thing. Didn't you notice her always avoiding eye contact with us, but her always looking Luna in the eye?" "Now that you mention it she did start doing that about two weeks before she vanished." "Mom saw what would happen to Luna and she tried to find a way to stop it from happening." "How do you know this is true and that she didn't just abandon us." "Listen to yourself Tia, we both know very well that mom loved us and would do anything to protect us." "Your right she did care about us too much to just abandon us like that." "For now lets leave this conversation and return to it we Luna is ready to be part of it." "Agreed, but I think that we she go and see how much stuff she packed." Celestia said heading towards the door to the hallway. ***** About ten minutes later in Luna's room "Don't want to forget my telescope. Wait doesn't Twilight have a telescope? If she does o'well we'll just have two there." Luna thought frantically trying to get ready for her trip to Ponyville. "Luna almost ready to go?" Celestia asked through the door. "Almost, just have to pack my quill and parchment so I don't have to use Twilight's." "Okay Luna we will be in the palace gardens waiting for you." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: The Return of an Old Friend //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: The Return of an Old Friend "Were could she be?" Ravenger asked himself worried for his friend, "She normally meets me here or tells me of a change of plans if something happens. Its been two days sense I last saw her were could she be." he starts to panic at the realization that his friend may not be returning. "I have to ask that witch about what she did to Light." He thought as he started toward a large changeling hive. ***** "My queen, our sentries have spotted a black stallion, that has been seen around Blacklightning. He is on his way toward us, and he is emitting a very strong hatred toward us it's almost like he wants us to know he was coming." "So, Ravenger wants me to see him. So be it I will go and meet that week unicorn and answer his questions if he as any." "Do you want me to send a drone to him so you can talk?" "No, I think I will go and talk to him my self. No guards are too fallow me understood." "Understood my queen I will notify the head guard about your leave and tell him not to send anyone." ***** "You ready Luna?" I asked patiently. "Yes. I'm ready, but I have a question that I should have asked earlier." "What is it Luna?" I asked as we took off toward Ponyville. "How do we know if the ceremony worked?" "Trust me you will know when the time comes. How the keyblade works is it needs a reason to be summoned the first time even after the ceremony, but after the first time it can be summoned at will." "What kind of reasons?" Luna asked not sure what she got herself into. "Normally life changing events like a run in with something of great darkness or a life threatening event." "Well that's a bit harsh for a weapon that is supposed to be good." "I agree but we can't argue with a magical sword." I said with a sarcastic tone. "Do you two want to stop and eat lunch or continue to Ponyville and eat there?" Celestia asked as they were approaching a small clearing. "I think it might be a good idea to stop and eat before we get there. I mean nopony should face Pinkie Pie for the first time on an empty stomach." Luna stated as she started for the clearing. "Why do you say that Luna?" I asked curiously. ***** As Chrysalis was flying toward the place where she would meet Ravenger, she is grabbed by an odd blue magic aurora and she then plummeted to the ground. She slowed down all most immediately right before she hit the ground but the magic did naught disappear from around her. After about ten minutes of struggling she realized that she should have brought a small team of guards with her, because whoever is holding her knows how to block communication between a changeling and their hive. "By your state of panic I take it you've realized that you can not contact your hive." said a disembodied voice. "What do you want from me?" asked Chrysalis starting to panic more so than before. "Just tell me were she is and I will release you." said the voice closer than before. "Who might i ask is she?" Chrysalis replied. "You know well who she is you hideous bug." the voice now full of venom "Please can we talk about this like a civilized pony and changeling.?" Chrysalis pleaded in fear of what might happen. "How did you know I was a pony?" Ravenger asked as he revealed himself to her. "there is not many things that use magic like this.? "What do you mean civilized, as soon as I put you down you will call for help." he snapped. "Why don't you just keep your magic focused on my horn so that I can't call for help." Chrysalis responded hoping that he would be reasonable. "I guess that will suffice, just tell me were she is." ,"Why tell you when I could show you." ***** It was a little after midday at the Ponyville Library, three alicorns patiently waited for somepony to answer the door. "coming," said a small male voice. The door opened to reveal a small purple and green dragon, "Hi Princesses, how are you doing?" "We are good Spike. Where is Twilight,me and my sisters have matters to discuss with her?" Celestia replied. "I though that you only had one sister." "That is what she told everypony during my exile." i told the little dragon. "Wait what!" "Yes Spike I do have another sister, but that is of no importance. Is Twilight here?" ***** Back in the Everfree Forest Ravenger and Chrysalis are heading toward Ponyville, "Why are we heading this way?" "As I said I did not take you friend." Chrysalis responded kindly. "Why the change in tone you worthless bug?" "I might as well be nice to you so that you can have a friend when this is over." "What do you mean?" Ravenger asked starting to worry again. "You will see soon, we are almost there." As they reached the edge of the forest they saw a small cottage on a hill and the mare in question leaving with three other alicorns. "Who are they and why is she with them?" "The two taller ones are Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, The solar and lunar princesses, and the shorter purple one is Princess Twilight Sparkle. They are three of the five alicorn princesses of Equestria." "Who are the other two princesses?" "One is Princess Cadence who is the princess of love and ruler of the Crystal Empire, and the last one is your friend down there Princess Blacklightning but what she rules over is a mystery to me." "SHES WHAT!" He yelled in surprise attracting the attention of the four alicorn princesses. "Ravenger!" I yelled after taking off toward my good friend. "Ah!" he yelped as he was tackled by the large gray mare, "Light why did you leave without telling me?" he started to cry as he finished the sentence. "It's okay, I was going to go and get you once I found a place for us to stay and I did." "Where did you find a place for us to stay?" "In Canterlot Castle with my sisters." "Really Light, you found you family and they excepted you back..." he was interrupted by Celestia. "Mind telling us who your colt-friend is and why he was traveling with Chrysalis." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: A Day of Learning //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: A Day of Learning In the main room of the Ponyville Library four alicorns, a dragon, and a unicorn sit telling stories of their lives. "I found him when he was a foal about twenty years ago on the edge of the Everfree Forest, but when I looked I found no parents anywhere, so I took him and raised him." "So you just took him?" Celestia asked. "No, for the first four months I made a temporary house on the edge of the forest where I found him, but nopony ever came looking for him. So I then brought him to my home inside the forest and raised him to the point where he could control his magic. I taught him to do basic things with it and slowly progressed him to harder spells. One day after his lesson I went into our makeshift kitchen and was attacked by a team of changelings that were on their way to the castle for an attack. One of them stunned me with its magic before I could react. Ravenger heard the commotion and came running to see what was happening. When he got there he saw me on the ground in the center of a circle of changelings. He charged at the closes one to me and rammed into its side knocking it down, and before the rest of them could react he started to attack the rest of them with extreme prejudice killing all but the one he rammed into. He had beat that one within an inch of its life when I stopped him. It tried to escape but it was in to bad of shape to do so. I then started to develop a spell that would allow me to temporarily stop a changeling from using magic and separates them from their hive so long as the spell is active. It took a lot of trial and error to get the spell working properly, but when it was done I sent the changeling back to Chrysalis to tell her that me and Ravenger were ready to stop her again if she sent more changelings after us. Not long after that I started talking to Ravenger about returning to pony society, but the decision was hard for him to make because he did not want to run into his parents and them not want anything to do with him. That is why I left without him and sought you two out my sisters, so that we might not have that possibility." I finished. "So wait. He killed how many changelings?" Twilight asked. "Probably about six or seven drones and two under-queens." he responded. "How did you do that? You were not trained to fight them." Luna asked puzzled at what she just heard. "Easy," he responded, "It seems that when I get really angry at something or when somepony I really care about gets hurt, I mentally black out and a form of warrior's instincts kick in and I fight simple as that." he finished look around. We all look at him puzzled from what he just said. "So you didn't know what I found after we finished cleaning up?" I asked. "What did you find?" "Do you remember how the changelings had mild burn marks on them," he shook his head, "Well I found a keyblade made of pure fire, and when I tried to pick it up it burned me and then dissipated." "What!" they all said in surprise. "I guess that some keyblades can only be wielded by certain ponies." "Why didn't you tell me this before Lightning!" Ravenger yelled at me. "Because, I wasn't sure if it was an actual keyblade or if you just created it with your magic." I told him starting to cry. "I'm sorry Light," he said as he started to nuzzle my neck, "I didn't mean to yell at you." "It's okay," I told him as I wrapped my wings around him, "I should have told you sooner it's just that I wanted to keep it a secret so that nothing would happen to you." "Can we get back to the story please?" Spike asked. "Sure," Ravenger answered, "when I noticed that Lightning was nowhere to be found I headed towards Chrysalis's hive hoping that she would meet me instead of sending her drones. I prepared the hive nullification spell so that if things got out of hoof I could stop them from calling for help, but I got lucky and only she left the hive to meet with me. I sped up and stopped directing any emotion towards the changelings so I could now go unnoticed. When she was flying above me I used Lightning's spell to pull her to the ground." he continued to tell his story until it got to the point where they all met. "Interesting, so she tried to make you abandon Lightning and join her." Celestia stated. "Sounds about right." he responded. "Ravenger I want to try something." "What do you want to try?" "I want you to focus on summoning your keyblade." I told him. "I don't know if I can." he told me his voice full of doubt. "Trust me you can. You just have to try." "I guess I'll try it for you Light," when he finished speaking he closed his eyes and started to focus on his goal. We didn't wait long before he was engulfed in flames. As the flames went away a strange stallion stood were Ravenger was just a few seconds ago. "Light I feel funny." the strange stallion said. "Who are you and what did you do with Ravenger?" I hissed at the stallion. "Light it's me Ravenger," he responded, "I think that when I tried to summon my keyblade I change in someway." as he finished the sentence a keyblade of pure fire appeared in front of him. "It is you." I said as I embraced him. "Wait, are those wings?" Luna asked in surprise. "That can't be I'm a unicorn, I can't have wings." he stated "Then what are these?" I asked as I grabbed his wings playfully. "How did this happen?" Luna and Celestia asked in unison. "My guess would by that the keyblade would not accept his old body unless he was trying to protect something against a foe that he would likely loose against if he did not use it, so it changed him into a form that it could accept without him being in danger. But I do hope you stay like this because I don't want you to have to leave me because I do love you." "I knew you would find somepony to be with." Celestia said with a devilish grin. "Tia stop it. You wonder why I never wanted to go anywhere with you." I stated unaware of the blush on my face. "Does this mean that I am now a prince?" asked Ravenger. "Not until you two get married, but you can still live with us though." Luna jumped in. "Wait," Twilight stated, "he has a cutie mark know too." "I do?" he asked as he turned his head and to his surprise she was right he did have one it is red heart with slightly darker red flames around it and with a flaming black keyhole in the middle. "What does that mean?" Spike asked. "It means, unlike me he is to walk the difficult path of dawn." "What is the path of dawn?" he asked. "The path of dawn is the path that crosses through the light and darkness giving those who walk it complete control over both. Of the few who can take that path only a few survive." "So they die if they fail?" Luna asked. "No, they do not die they just get lost in the darkness and cannot return once there, but the ones who successfully complete the training become some of the most powerful keyblade masters." "So Light, why don't you have your cutie mark yet?" Ravenger asked. "Oh ya, sorry about that," I lowered the spell blocking my cutie mark which is the Oblivion and Oath Keeper keyblades crossing with an electric blue heart with a black keyhole in the middle above the keyblades. "I wanted to keep my special talent a secret until I returned to my sisters." "What does yours mean?" Luna asked. "It means that I can do this," I summoned two keyblades one that is black and the other is white with a little bit of blue and yellow on it. "So you can use two keyblades at once, that is very interesting." Luna stated. "Now that that is done with we probably should go and find Pinkie, she will be so happy to meet you two." Twilight said. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: The Ten Wielders //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: The Ten Wielders Later that day at Sugarcube Corner Twilight, Spike, Celestia, and Luna was greeted by a bouncing pink  pony by the name of Pinkie Pie, "Hi Twilight. Hi Spike. Hi princesses." "Hi Pinkie, there is somepony that I want you to meet." "Somepony new where are they, I have to give them their welcome to Ponyville party invitation. Wait I need streamers and balloons." Pinkie finished starting to get really excited about having a party. I slowly walked into the building followed closely by Ravenger who is more nerves than I am at the moment. I am debating on whether I should let her throw the party or not. I continued slowly toward the group of friends. "Pinkie this is Blacklightning." Twilight stated completely forgetting about Ravenger. "Wait she is an alicorn just like you and the princesses Twilight." "Yes, she is , and she is also one of the the royal sisters." "Wait, wasn't there somepony following you Princess?" Pinkie asked as she started to look behind me. "Please, just call me Lightning, I am not one for formalities, and for who was fallowing me, he is my partner in both combat and life, his name is Ravenger." "So where did he go?" "I don't know, Ravenger where did you go?" "Right here Light, and please have her calm down you know I hate unnecessarily loud ponies." he said startling Pinkie. "My name is Pinkie Pie, sorry if I scared you." "I'm Ravenger" he sheepishly responded. "For how strong he is I would have never suspected that random loud noises made by ponies would scare him." Luna stated. "Luna remember were he was raised and that it was just him and me. So he is not comfortable around other ponies yet, we just have to give him time to adapt." "Wait you raised him and he is your special somepony that is a little weird." Pinkie stated. "Let me correct my self, I raised him to survive in the Everfree Forest but that was while he was a unicorn and not an alicorn." "Twilight I'll go and get your friends, can you please calm him down wile I'm away." I turned to Ravenger, "I will not be long, okay." I gave him a kiss and left. "Trust me you will like my friends, they are all good ponies. Rarity is very generous, but if you value your personal space don't mention anything about needing clothes. Fluttershy is a really shy pony but she loves animals. Rainbow Dash has such an ego she could mold it into another pony by itself but when her friends are in need she is there for them. Finally there is Applejack, she is the most reliable and honest pony around." "Thank you for describing your friends Twilight, I like to know about somepony before I meet them but sometimes it can't be helped." "Ravenger why weren't you acting scared around us when we met?" "I am used to being around alicorns because one raised me so that did not affect me like it probably does most ponies, and the fact the you and Light's sisters are princesses helped a lot." "That's a little odd most ponies act strange because we are princesses, but you act like we are nothing special." "That is because in my mind you three are the same as any other pony." The conversation went on like that for about an hour when the door opened and four mares and Lightning walked in. Lightning and a the snow white mare in the group walked over to me, "Ravenger did you and Twilight have a good conversation while I was gone?" "Yes we did, she was really interested in the fact that I was completely calm talking to your sisters, her, and you, but as soon as I was introduced to Pinkie I resorted to my shadow magic to hide from her." "Would you be interested in some clothes?" the mare spoke up. "I take it your Rarity." "How did you know that was my name?" "Twilight gave me a rundown of you and the rest of your friends so that we don't have a repeat of what happened with Pinkie." "Rarity please don't go on a question spree like you did with me. It takes a lot for him to want to shadow dive but since all it took was Pinkie yelling about a party for him to do it, I don't think a lot of questions would be a good idea." "Okay darling, but later I want to make you an outfit." "When I need a suit I will be sure to give you a chance to make it for me." Ravenger stated hoping to try and keep her quite for just a little wile. "You won't regret it darling." "Rarity I think its time he met the rest of your friends." "Agreed, I think it is time for him to meet them." We walked over to the group of mares and one dragon, and was immediately noticed by the stronger looking earth pony, "Hi sugar cube, I'm Applejack." "I'm Rainbow Dash fastest flyer in Equestria." "My name is Fluttershy." the yellow pegasus said with such a soft and quiet voice it was almost impossible to hear. "My name is Ravenger." "Twilight said that you two have a story to tell us." Rainbow stated. "We do and we will begin once everypony is settled." Once the group was settled they began to recite the story as it was done earlier that day at the library. "I may not approve of violence, but you did the right thing saving the one you love." "Thanks Applejack, even though we just met that means a lot." "Celestia, you know what to do." "On it Lightning." her horn started to glow and a shield was raised around the room. "Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash please place your hooves on the keyblade," when I finished that sentence I brought forth my  keyblade. The four mares moved to do what they were asked to do, "In your hoof, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend-no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above,so long as you champion the ones you love." "I don't feel any different sugar cube." "Neither do I." Rainbow stated. "Same here." both Rarity and Fluttershy said. I spoke up before Pinkie could have one of her "Pinkie Pie" moments, "Girls it takes something like one of your loved ones getting into deep trouble, but that is a worst case scenario." "Well that makes absolutely no sense." "Well I learned that you don't argue with a weapon that is sustained with magic because it could very well take control of itself and smite you if it wished." I stated earning the stares of a handful of terrified mares, and Spike is just trying to stop laughing like a maniac. "That is just dark, where do you learn such things?" Rarity asked. "On a battlefield a long time ago were many of my soldiers fell because their weapon turned on them." I said calmly. "I thought heavily enchanted weapons were banned long ago before Luna was even born." Twilight stated. "Celestia did you ever tell your student of the age gap in between you an Luna?" "No Light I didn't want anypony to know because I would have been force to tell ponies of you." "Why would you have had to tell ponies of me just because of you telling them of the twenty year age gape in between you and Luna." "Because you can only change so many records before ponies start asking questions." Twilight stepped in, "If there is a twenty year gap from you to Luna were do you fit into the group Lightning?" "I was born three years after Celestia and it was on my sixteenth birthday that I personally banned and destroyed all heavily enchanted weapons because of the looses our military took in one of the wars with the dragons that aloud us to construct a fortress on Mount. Canterhorn. That fortress has become the city of Canterlot and our nations capital." "I had forgotten that you went on that mission and it lasted three years you came back on Luna's third birthday and made it a mission to make her as happy as you could before you had to leave a year later to deal with the vampony situation and it was during that second trip that she disappeared." Celestia finished as she started to cry. "Who do you mean by 'she' Princess?" Twilight asked. "She means the one true ruler of Equestria our mother Queen Solaris." I answered saving my sister from having to speak any more. ***** In an unknown portion of the galaxy there is a snow white alicorn with a mane and tail of fire, "Lunar Eclipse, I know you are around here somewhere." "Leave me Solaris I left so they may live in peace away from my corruption. They are better off without me." "Nay, they need us both, our kingdom is being assaulted by the very darkness that took our youngest away from us and drove the two elder children apart. We must return balance to the forces light and darkness in our children's world." "I can't. Do you remember what happened last time I attempted to return." "The Discord event. I remember it well but our daughters took care of it. They are strong, but they need to know that we did not abandon them." "I know its just I can't face any of them after what happened with Northern Star." "You know that you two never got along." ***** "Everypony get behind me. Now! Ravenger get ready to fight." I ordered after I noticed o shift in the shadows. "Why should we?" one of the mares in the room responded. "If you want to keep your hearts, you'll do as I say!" I barked at them bringing my keyblades into existence. "Light whats going on?" Ravenger asked doing the same. "We have company." as I finished the shadows took an equine form. "They look like changelings." "Well they're not." "What are they then?" "Heartless. To be exact they are the shadow form which are the weakest of the heartless. They are typically very dumb, only being able to tell friend from foe." "Why haven't they attacked yet?" "I don't know, every other time I have fought them, they attacked without hesitation, but these seem different." "How so?" Luna asked. "They are acting like they want to learn something." "I thought you sai-" Twilight was interrupted by a group of the heartless that managed to remain unnoticed behind us that jumped on top of her. "Twilight!" we all called in unison. All of a sudden a bright flash of light flashed from the heartless that attacked Twilight causing them to fly into the wall and vanish, "Why are all of you staring at me?" "You did it Twilight now lets hope you can use that thing there are a lot of heartless here and more are appearing." in her magic Twilight was holding a six pointed purple star with gold trimming in the shape of a key. "Is that..." "Yes, it is. Now can we deal with the threat of the heart hungry creatures." after I replied the group of heartless in front of me charged. I took a defensive stance and was quickly joined by Ravenger and Twilight. I quickly took notice of the attack pattern of the group and made a plan, "On my mark we lung forward breaking their control of the battle,and make a brake for the door. It is to cramped in here to fight. I want you guys to follow us and then get to a safe distance," I waited for the next break in the pattern, "Mark," we charged forwards breaking the one large group into two smaller ones, as we left the building. The two groups staying apart as they followed, "I got the group on the left, you take the right." "On it." they replied in unison. We broke away from each other and dove straight into the two groups of heartless. The group stood in awe of the three alicorns in combat with the dark menace. Ravenger was in control of the fight for a long period of time mostly because of the barbaric force he put behind each of his swings. Twilight obviously never used a weapon of any sorts but she is still taking out her fare share of heartless. Lightning was the exact opposite. She moved with complete grace and speed, constantly switching between her singular keyblade sending sparks flying across the field and bolts of lightning through groups of the creatures and her duel blades dispersing large groups with powerful but quick strikes. The three collapsed in a triangle around their friends "They won't stop coming." I said weakly. "We have to keep going, so we can protect every-" Twilight was cut off as her friends walked over to her. "Sugar cube, you know darn well that it is not your job to protect us, but all of ours to protect everypony else." when Applejack finished a key in the shape of her cutie mark appeared on her side. "That's right Twi, if we wouldn't have came together I'm pretty sure none of us would be here." as Rainbow finished, her and the rest of the girls had their keyblade appear next to them. "Celestia, Luna, and Ravenger, you three with me. Twilight, Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow, Applejack, and Fluttershy take the group opposite to ours."
