Chapter 1

Prince Jump

"Good Morning Ponyville, today is February 12th, 2015. The weather today is partly cloudy with an 80% chance of showers and maybe some flurries later on tonight. High 35 low 23," said Prince Jump's radio, trying to wake him up. "In today's news, Ponyville wins the Equestrian games, Manehattan and Cloudsdale fall in second and third."
"Wake up, honey. We've got to get to Canterlot to return our crowns." Prince Jump said.
"In other news, the newly elected Queen, Queen Verein of Ponyville City will take over for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and become the new leader of the newly-born Ponyville Republic. Prince Jump and Princess Twilight Sparkle will resign today. We cover you today at the Coronation Ceremony."
"Oh, goodness. That's today? Better get up!" Twilight said.

Twenty Minutes later, they grabbed their things and began towards Canterlot. Once they got there, they handed their crowns and met Princess Verein.
"Hello, I am Queen Verein." Verein said to the alicorn duo.
"I am Prince- well, Jump." he said. "I've been Prince for all these years and I'm just used to it."
"That's understandable. I remember when I lost my title as something and then saying I was that thing." Verein said. "And this must be your sister, if I'm correct?"
"I'm his wife, Twilight Sparkle." Twilight introduced herself. "It's very nice to meet you!"
"Hm. You look a lot ... younger." Verein said.
"Implying?" Twilight said.
"That you look 15."
"Well, I assure you that I am indeed 17."
"Interesting. I like you. Kind of my the of pony."

They looked at each other very happily. Jump looked at them unusually, as if he knew something would happen to him and Twilight in the near future.
"Well, Scar's waiting. We need to get back home to the three." Jump said.
"Yes. I'll be here if you need me." Verein said for the last time before they left.

The crowd below them cheered goodbye as they flew back to Ponyville City. They waved back to them as they approached the simple little town.
"Scar, we're home!" Twilight said as her and Jump trotted into the door.
"Oh, hey guys." Spike said as he walked downstairs.
"Where's Scar?" Jump asked.
"He said Rainbow Dash got sick, so he swung the care over to me." Spike said.
"Oh, I hope she's okay." Twilight mumbled to herself.

Cherry Dash came downstairs a moment later.
"Hi mommy!" She said.
"Hi, baby! Did you have fun with Scar?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, but he had to leave." Cherry Dash said to her mother. "What's for lunch?"
"Anything you can find." Twilight answered.
"Okay." Cherry Dash said.

Jump and Spike were in the kitchen.
"I don't know Spike, it's as if-" Jump said to his purple companion.
"Dude, I wouldn't worry about it. For all we know so far, she likes us. Not sure about Scar, but, y'know." Spike said.
"Thanks, Spike. I don't know what I'd do without a friend like you." Jump said.
"Your welcome. Call me anytime you need me."Spike said.

Just then, as Twilight turned the radio on, an announcement was broadcast to the entire world. The first law of the Ponyville Republic.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts, as your newly elected Princess, all must obey the laws set in effect after 2:30 pm today." Princess Verein said.

Twilight asked everyone to gather around the radio. Jump and Twilight began regretting not signing the document that would've saved Equestria
"Do you think we should've saved Equestria." Twilight asked.

Jump looked at Twilight with a kind of anxious look on his face. He began thinking to himself.
"Should I tell her? I want her to know how I feel. But, I don't want her to-"

Jump was interrupted by a loud banging at the door.
"JUMP!!! TWILIGHT!!!"

They all recognized the voice at the door.
"HELP!!!! DO SOMETHING!!!! GET KING ACCORD!!!! HEELLP!!!!!" Scar said.
"Scar?? What's going on? Why do I need my father?"Jump asked.
"SOMEONE DESTROYED OUR HOUSE!!!!"
"WHAT??!!!"
"DO SOMETHING!!!!"
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? HEARTS AND HOOVES??!!! GET IN HERE!!!!"

Scar came in with a clearly unhealthy Rainbow Dash on his back. He said he was completely drain of magic and tried fighting off an army of attackers.
"Who?"
"They called themselves the Verein Guard Force. They beat our neighbors and friends and... poor Dashie..."

Upstairs, Twilight tried getting help from Spike and Cherry.
"They told me they were destroying 'lower class material items' and said they were infested with tiny creatures called 'germs.'..."
"Rainbow Dash, are you okay?" Twilight asked.
"They tore through my home and destroyed everything. Our wedding pictures, my favorite jacket, my radio..."
"SPIKE, GET FLUTTERSHY, NOW!!!!"
"I tried picking Dashie up. I ran as fast as I could away from my house. Little did I realise they had drained my magic."
"I'm here, jeez, mate, rustle your jimmies, bruh." Fluttershy said as she walked through the doorway.
"Thank goodness, your... here... Fluttershy what happened to you?"

Fluttershy looked like as if she had dipped her mane and tail in black ink, and robbed Carousel Boutique of all of their eyeliner. She was speaking as loud as any other pony would. She looked around and saw things were knocked over. She trotted upstairs and rudely yelled at Twilight, shoved Cherry Dash out of the way, and looked at Rainbow Dash.
"You dragged me all the way down here... for THIS??!!! ZOMBIE MOVIE MAKEUP!!!"
"What has gotten into you. You walk into my home, push my daughter into the wall, and are dressed completely absurd."
"Got a problem with it? Fine. Get out of my life!"
"FLUTTERSHY, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! THERE IS A LIFE IN RISK OF DYING!!!"
"Oh, the poor thing." Fluttershy said sarcastically and trotted off downstairs laughing. "Have fun with your movie!"

She slammed the door. There was an erie silence throughout the house as the sky blue Pegasus began to wake up.
"T-Twilight?" Rainbow Dash called.
"RAINBOW DASH!!! YOU'RE OKAY!!!" Twilight answered, afterward turning to Spike. "Get Scar up here."

Spike quickly ran downstairs to Scar. Scar was in shock when he saw what the Verein Guard Force had done to his wife. He quickly ran up to her and held her.
"Are you sure she'll be okay?" Scar asked.

Twilight looked at Scar with a feeling of complete awe at the abilities of these soldiers.
"No. Look, call an ambulance, and get Nurse Redheart here ASAP!!!" Twilight said.

All that was left of the shaken house was Jump. He knew this was coming. He looked in shock as his home was being transformed from a place to run to, to the place he was running from.
"Twilight..." Jump said.

Cherry Dash walked slowly to her father.
"Yes?" Twilight responded.

The two walked upstairs.
"I-I tried warning you about this. Everything. I feel terrible for not telling you before." Jump said.

Twilight looked at Jump for a moment, but was quickly interrupted by sirens.
"Did somepony call for us?" said Nurse Redheart.
"I did." Jump said. "Injured Pegasus upstairs."
"Okay. EVERYPONY OUT OF THE WAY!!!" She yelled out.

The sheer power of the Verein Guard Force left everyone with shock and awe. Little did anyone realise what was to happen next. Everyone thought she'd bring peace, but a never ending party of ponies going completely crazy and destroying other's property, along with friendships for their own benefit would bring the newly born republic to a horrible start... and this is only the beginning.

Chapter 2

Princess Twilight Sparkle

"Hey, wake up, Cherry Dash! It's the 1,005 year of the summer sun celebration!" Spike said, trying to get the little filly out of bed. "I know how excited you are about it, so your dad made us breakfast!"

Downstairs, Jump and Twilight were eating the warm treats that Jump had fixed. Spike and Cherry Dash ran downstairs and quickly greeted the two and sat down.
"So, what are we going to do today?" Spike asked Jump.
"First, we'll meet with my mom-" Jump said before being interrupted by the kindest voice he's heard... Celestia.
"It's too late for that, son."

He turned around and saw his mother standing before him.
"Grandma!!" Cherry Dash said as she ran to Celestia.
"Mom! Hey, I haven't heard from you in a long time. What happened?" Jump asked as he trotted over to her.
"I...I don't want to talk about it." She said.

In February, she and Princess Luna were kidnapped from their home, taken to a dungeon, and drained of their power by Verein. They ran away and fought off the Verein administration.
"She yelled at us." Celestia said before looking down upon the face of the young filly and dragon. "But we won't have to worry about her today any, right?" She said, smiling.
"Right, Princess!" Twilight said.
"There is no need to label me by that title." Celestia said. "Now, let's go and raise the sun!"

So, they finished breakfast walked to the carriage and began to talk about what they were planning to do that day.
"I was thinking we could go visit the old castle." Jump said.
"Well, it's still there." Celestia said.
"Yeah, I know. You know what I meant." Jump said.

The time was 6:00 am. Ponies watched in awe as Celestia raised the sun. Suddenly, Jump was being yelled at by a group of younger stallions behind him.
"HEY, OLD MAN!! GET A REAL JOB!!!" One of the stallions shouted before Jump turned around.
"Excuse me, I don't appreciate being yelled at, sir, and there are fillies around-" Jump said.
"I don't care." Said another one of them.
"What did I just say? There are young fillies arou-" Jump said as he covered his daughter's ears.
"Just shut the hell up. Get out of here!"
"What?"
"LEAVE!!!"

Three stallions charged at Jump and began to fight him. He kept teleporting away to different places in the crowd, eventually losing them and teleporting back to his spot in the front of the crowd. The entire crowd looked at Jump like there was something wrong.
"Honey, I think we should go." Jump said.
"But, we're going to miss the rising of the sun. Are you sure we can't stay?" Cherry Dash said.

Jump looked down at the young filly's face and smiled.
"Oh, alright. I guess we can stay." Jump said. By this time the crowd had stopped looking at Jump and Cherry Dash.

The sun was raised and the Summer Sun Celebration began. Jump, Twilight, Cherry Dash, and Celestia gathered back into the carriage and thought they should pay a visit to Scar and Rainbow Dash.
"Hey, guys. How've you two been?" Celestia asked.
"I've been good, how about- OH MY GOSH, IT'S PRINCESS CELESTIA!" Scar exclaimed in the presence in what he thought to be the leader of Equestria.

Him and Rainbow Dash bowed down, but Celestia put her hoof under Scar's chin and lifted his head.
"There's no need for that, Scar. Equestria is gone, but it's legacy will live in the memory of all ponies around the globe." She said as the other three walked through the door.

Rainbow Dash turned on the radio to listen to Verein's speech recorded earlier that day.
"Good Morning, Ponyville. Today is the 1,005th anniversary of the Summer Sun Festival, the longest day of the year." Verein said.
"Hey, guys, Verein's giving a speech!" Rainbow Dash said.

They all gathered around the radio to listen to her speech.
"As the sun rises today, remember, I will strive my very best to-" The radio went static after that.
"What the heck?" Jump wondered as Rainbow Dash tried to fix the radio.
"C'mon, go back!" Rainbow yelled. Suddenly, the radio came back from static to a crowd cheering.
"Thank you! I hope you have a great day! Happy Sun Rising!"
"Well, we've got to go. We're heading to the Summer Sun Carnival!" Twilight said.
"Oh, can we go? I've never been!" Scar asked.

Jump thought for a minute and said yes. Scar jumped and ran to the carriage. The rest followed. Twilight and Rainbow Dash engaged in conversation.
"So, how've you been, Twilight?" Rainbow asked.
"Busy. With Cherry Dash finally going to school, it's been stressful trying to keep everything together. Of course, I've got Spike and Jump to help out." Twilight said.
"Cool, I guess." Rainbow Dash said awkwardly. "Oh, guess what!" She said excitedly.
"Umm, ... you won a race?"
"No. C'mon, keep guessing."
"You became the captain for Ponyville's Air Force."
"No. I'll give you a hint: it's about Scar and I."
"You two had your vows renewed."
"No."
"I give up."
"Okay, I'll tell you."

Cherry Dash and Spike were conversing about what they were going to do that day. Suddenly, they turned around to hear Twilight and Rainbow Dash screaming as if they were excited.
"So, yeah, I'm thinking about going to the Ferris wheel first. Hey, do you think you could help me with something?" Cherry Dash asked.
"Yeah, what is it?" Spike responded.
"I have a problem with someone at school. He keeps bullying me."
"Why?"
"He keeps on making fun of the fact that I can't write properly. It's not my fault I'm a Pegasus."
"Well, whatever you do, don't feed into any activity like bullying or abuse. Okay?"
"Okay."

Right before they were able to get into the carriage, it exploded! Everyone was okay... except Jump. He was knocked out when a plank of wood hit him on his head.
"IS EVERYONE OKAY??!!!" Scar shouted.
"ALL IS GOOD, SCAR!" Celestia answered.
"JUMP, NO!!" Twilight cried.

She ran over to her husband and held him. Nurse Redheart was fortunately near them at the time and quickly ran over to Jump to help him up. He disappeared with a flash at the hooves of the Nurse.

The Servants

"YOU TWO!! THOMAS AND LAUGHY!!!"
"Yes, ma'am, how can we help you?" Thomas said.
"Take him to the Emergency Room downstairs."
"Yes, ma'am."

Thomas and Laughy ran downstairs to the Emergency Room for the Emergency Crew to take care of him.
"What happened?" Asked one of the nurses.
"He was hit with a plank of wood." Laughy said.
"Okay, tell Verein he should be okay. Just let him stay down here for a while and we'll send him up maybe tomorrow. As you can see, he's still asleep, so send her down while she still has the chance."
"Alright. You have a great day."
"You, too!"

Thomas and Laughy told Verein that she could go down when she's ready.
"I really wouldn't recommend going down there right away, ma'am." Thomas told Verein.
"No pony cares. Now, please, GET OUT!!!" She said as she slammed the door in their faces.
"And you call her a nice boss." Laughy said.

An hour later, Verein came out of her room and went downstairs to the E.R. She was escorted by soldiers in bronze armor.
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?" Verein yelled to a random guard.
"N-nothing, ma'am." The guard gulped.

She turned her nose at him and continued trotting to the downstairs E.R. When she reached the E.R., she asked everyone to leave and escort everyone else to the hospital down the street. She turned off all lights and trotted to Jump.

Back in Ponyville city, fireponies were putting out the fire from hours later. Everypony around the area was being questioned for the disappearance of Jump.
"I don't know, officer. I trotted up to him and held him in my hooves. He was knocked out from the explosion." Twilight said. "He disappeared when Nurse Redheart ran over."
"He really misses you, and it's been over 300 years since you've seen him." Celestia said to Accord, Jump's father.
"I understand, and I wish I could've been there to provide for him, but unfortunately, someone banished me to Venus." He said in his deep voice.
"I know... and that was one of many mistakes I will never make again." Celestia said.

Accord had just returned from Venus, very aware of what was unfolding in Ponyville. He had something to attend to at that moment and left.
"Cherry Dash, are you okay?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Yes, I'm fine. I just want to know where my dad went to." She said.
"I don't know, he just... disappeared. Listen, the police are looking for him now, I'm sure. Just be strong, okay?" Rainbow said.
"Okay." She replied.

Spike was walking around, freaking out, wondering if he should've told everypony, or at least warned them about what happened.
"Scar, would it be bad if..." Spike said.
"Bad if what?" Scar asked.
"Bad if Jump told me all of this was going to happen, and I didn't tell anypony?" Spike asked.

Scar looked at Spike's face and had a deep pit of helplessness, fear, and shock.
"Look, if you knew this was going to happen, why didn't you tell anyone?"
"Because then, I didn't believe him, and I knew if I didn't tell anyone else, they wouldn't believe me." Spike said.

Rainbow Dash was inside, turning on the radio. Verein came on the radio.
"Good afternoon. I have been informed that there was an attack in Ponyville city. Crews have been called to the scene, and are now clearing up the scene." She said. "I was alerted that there were no deaths or injuries, except one: former Prince, Jump, was knocked out. Now, he is okay and resting."
"Oh, thank goodness he's okay!" Twilight said cheerfully.
"Now, I must go. Thank you."

Everyone began to wonder WHERE he was. Ponies wondered why did this happen. Some thought it was fake, or for a movie. News spread around that Jump detonated the bomb. But, none of this was true.

The next day in Canterlot...
"C'mon, honey, get... wait. That isn't my alarm clock." Jump said. "I'm in my old room. How did I get here?"

Verein began to wake up as well.
"Time for breakfast. C'mon." Verein said.

Jump didn't recognise the voice as Twilight's, Cherry's, Spike's, his mother's, or Rarity's.
"Oh, hello." She said.
"Who are you?" Jump asked.
"Don't you remember me? I am Queen Die Prinzessin der Kranken Böse Gesellschaft. You can call me Verein." She said.

Jump widened his eyes and shook his head to see if he was seeing things.
"How did I get here? What did you to Twilight?"
"Oh, that nasty thing? I got rid of her."
"She isn't nasty. She's my wife!"

She dragged him by his mane and pulled him off the bed.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL HER?!!" She yelled.
"My wife. What else should I call her?" Jump said.
"Definitely, not that. When you're in here, you don't call anyone that but me."

She threw his head back on the floor.
"I'm sorry, I still don't understand why I'm in here."
"That's none of you're business at the moment. Now, let's go downstairs."

Verein and Jump went downstairs to the diner hall, where the two were greeted with applause.
"Thank you. I have achieved what the ponies of the Ponyville Republic have asked me to do. We still have more to accomplish in the next three and a half years." Verein said. "Now, please, let's eat."

Verein became infamous internationally after that day. Everypony afterward thought she would try to take the world. Her goals were to ruin the good name of the last ruling family of Equestria. Everyone else tried their best to ruin it as well. They began to blame Celestia, Jump, and Twilight for not saving Equestria.

With their ever growing hate for them, everything became more and more strange everyday.

Chapter 4

"Hey, mommy, when do you think daddy will be home?" Cherry Dash asked.
"I don't know, sweety. I'm not even sure where he is." Twilight told her daughter.

Jump disappeared a week ago. Ponies have looked all over Equestria for him. There hasn't been a lead as to where he's gone, but little does everypony realise, he's in Canterlot with Queen Verein. She remembered today there was going to be a great announcement from Queen Verein, so Twilight turned on the radio.
"Fillies and Gentlecolts, I am being engaged to-" Twilight's radio went completely static after that.
"C'mon, stupid radio, work!" She yelled as she banged her hoof on the radio.

She did eventually get the radio to work and it went off static and when it did, she was greeted to a crowd cheering.
"I will marry him on Wednesday. The honeymoon, we've decided, will be in Ponyville City. Thank you and have a great day." Verein said, followed by applause.

Twilight turned off the radio right before Cherry Dash and Spike walked downstairs.
"Good morning, Twilight. How are you?" Spike said.
"Good. I just heard the Queen is coming to Ponyville City." Twilight said.
"Cool. Hey, I'm going to see if I can talk to some of my dragon friends, okay?" Spike asked.
"Okay." Twilight replied.

Meanwhile, Accord and Celestia are about to confront Discord.
"Oh, hello, friends. It's a great day, isn't it?" Discord said.
"Who are you?" Asked Accord, trotting in from behind Celestia, drawing out his sword.

Discord had a look on his face, as if he knew who he was.
"Star flare... is- is that... you?" Discord asked.
"H-how do you know my name?!" Accord asked, now pointing his sword at Discord's throat.
"It's me! Starswirl! I've been looking everywhere for you ever since you disappeared to Heaven knows where!" Discord said.

Accord gently moved his sword away from his brother's neck.
"Starswirl? Is that you? What happened to you?" Accord asked.
"I was in my library and came across a dark magic book." Discord said as he began to flash back to the night he changed. "I was studying it and... I guess I wanted to try a spell... Next thing I know, I'm a Draconquus. I looked for help, but they ran. There was a shadow at the end of the hallway. He ran towards me and attacked me. I began to feel a sharp pain in my chest and blacked out. I don't remember anything after that."

Celestia began to argue with herself if this was truly Starswirl the Bearded, the student she had lost long ago.
"Are you really Starswirl? Are you the one who I lost long ago?" Celestia asked Discord, ready to cry in shock that this was HER student!

Discord shook his head. Accord put away his sword and stepped back a few feet to Celestia to do fort her, but she shoved him away and ran away from them, leaving behind a trail of tears, now knowing that Discord IS Starswirl the Bearded.
"CELESTIA, WAIT!!!" He cried.

No matter how many times he called to her, she kept running. He stopped running after a while and turned to his brother.
"Is this reversible?" Accord asked.
"Probably not." Discord said.
"Listen, brother, my son, Jump, is in coercion at this time. I need you and anypony you can get to help, out of the deep constraint of Queen Verein. Do you think you can help."
"I'll try my best to get into Canterlot if I haven't already been banned." Discord said.
"Okay. Make plans to leave Ponyville City tomorrow at noon."
The next day...
"Fillies and Gentlecolts, it is my honor to welcome Mr. Discord." Queen Verein said as he walked in.
"Good afternoon everypony! It's an honor to be here and work with the Verein Administration." He said.

He trotted over and sat where his name tag sat, next to Jump.
"Discord?" Jump said as he looked at him.
"Hey. Your dad me asked to get you out of here. Don't worry, I'll get you out." He said.
"Oh, don't stress, I've got a plan." Jump said right before Verein began to speak.
"Okay, fillies and gentlecolts. Tomorrow, we will begin to talk to Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Prince Shining Armor about trading with the Crystal Empire. Jump and I will take a train to Town Center tomorrow morning between 6:30 and 7:00." She said. "Next on the agenda, the marriage ceremony of King Jump and I."

Jump looked at her, in shock that it would be NEXT WEEK!!
"That's going to be next week, because there are just too many things happening all at once. So, for now, everything is on schedule. Thank you."

Discord and Jump looked at each other as if she was crazy. When they were walking out, Verein was stamping everypony... and also a spell. When the two were walking through, she stamped them, pulled Jump to the side, and put the spell on Discord. He later complained of a large headache and wasn't able to use his magic. The nurses told him that it was part of a spell Verein learned, and she's been using it ever since she got into power to prevent an uprising. Discord was now convinced that she was worse than him and his assistant combine. But this was one of many things that she would do to the last ruling family of the Equestrian Celestial Empire.

Chapter 5

Princess Mi Amoré Cadenza

Verein, Jump, Thomas, and Laughy had just arrived in the Crystal Empire.
"Okay, Thomas, Laughy, you know what to do." Verein said.
"Yes, ma'am." Laughy said.

They blew their trumpets and introduced Verein and Prince Jump, soon after running off. Verein and Jump were then greeted by Jump's Cousin, her daughter, and Brother in Law... Princesses Cadence and Skylla, and Prince Shining Armor.
"Hello, I am Princess Mi Amoré Cadenza, this is my daughter, Skylla, and my husband, Prince Shining Armor, and we give our warm welcome to the FA-HABULOUS CRYSTAL EMPIRE!!" Princess Cadence said.
"It's such an honor to meet you. Now I am here to meet with your ambassadors about trading with you." Verein said.
"... Oh. My ambassadors... yeah. I don't think we have any, so..." Princess Cadence said.
"Your kidding, right? Ugh." Verein said.
"I'm sorry, is there anything wrong?"
"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TRADE WITH A COUNTRY WITHOUT AN EMBASSY?!?"
"Well, ... I think I'm the only ambassador, actually. I was a member of the embassies before the FA-HABULOUS CRYSTAL EMPIRE returned."
"Okay. I guess we could talk about it. I do see you have ports, so there must be some sort organization around that takes care of that."
"We have a World Trade Center in the castle."
"What?" Verein said before walking off laughing, right before Jump walked out of the train.

The trio looked at Jump, and Jump, exhausted from Verein yelling at him, looked at them with an expression of exhaustion and regret.
"Hello, we don't have all day. C'mon!" Verein said.

Cadence trotted over to Verein after kissing her husband and child goodbye.
"Now, I am Queen Verein. I am here to discuss trading with th-"
"The FA-HABULOUS CRYSTA-"

Verein crammed her hoof into Cadence's mouth.
"Don't. Anyway, I need some materials for reconstruction in the Ponyville Republic. About a year ago, there was an attack, and some structures still haven't been rebuilt. Listen, both nations have an enormously bright future ahead of them, and without your help, we may go through a dark age."
"Oh, don't worry. We've got it handled. Though, it may take a little bit of time to actually get the materials to you."
"I've got another question."
"Yes?"
"Is Cadence a nickname, or your real name?
"Well, I feel comfortable with Cadence, but my full name is Princess Mi Amoré Cadenza."
"Don't ever use a nickname. Ponies don't respect you."
"Hm. Do you have any plans for tonight?"
"No, why?"
"Because I would like to invite you to dinner."
"Okay. Shall we meet in one of the fanciest restaurants in Town Center?"
"Actually, I was thinking about in our castle."
"Alright, that sounds just fine."
"Arrive at about 6:45. Dinner should be ready 7:00."

They continued to talk for about another hour, then Verein went back to her hotel room. Jump and Shining Armor were talking about the last week before... gunshots. The two and Skylla ran away, trying to avoid the shots being fired everywhere they looked. One just nearly clipped Shining Armor's left ear. They kept running until they could no longer heard the fires of the rifle. They calmed down after a minute and continued to talk.
"So, I've been wondering, Jump, how did you end up with her? Who is she, anyway?" Shining Armor asked.
"She is Queen Verein... as of next week, ... she'll be my wife." Jump said.
"So, you broke up with Twilight?" Shining Armor asked.
"No. I can't get a hold of Twilight. I need you to tell her that I am with Verein, and that she's been blocking out radio transmissions to Ponyville City." Jump said.

Shining gave the okay and the two and Skylla walked back to the castle. When they reached the castle they washed their hands and sat down to eat. Everypony heard yelling behind the doors which led into the kitchen. Then, a chef brought out large bowls of soup, and glasses of wine to everyone. The fighting got even more intense once they brought out the bowls. They began to eat without any disturbances, when finally, they said their goodbyes, and Jump and Verein left.

The next day, newspapers all over Ponyville read 'Princess Cadence in hospital; Critical Condition.' When Jump went downstairs for breakfast, he saw a crowd of ponies gathered around a newspaper, cheering. He walked up to them and looked at the newspaper and thought 'Why the hell are these ponies cheering?' Then, Verein walked in. She looked at the newspaper, after shoving everypony out of the way, rubbed her eyes, and walked out.

She asked Jump, Thomas, Laughy, and Discord to go with her to the Crystal Empire. On the ride there, Jump saw a familiar face of a certain pony... Rarity. She was pushing a food cart to the front of the train when the train slammed to a stop at the train station in the Crystal Empire. Food spilled everywhere, and Rarity was kind of stuck cleaning it up. Luckily while the others walked the other direction, Jump walked towards her and helped her clean things up.

Rarity was on the ground picking up some napkins, when she realised a unicorn's hazel glow around them. She looked up to see the majestic blue alicorn standing above her.
"Jump? Is-is that you?" She asked.
"Heh, yes it's me, friend." Jump said. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I was looking for a job when I found an opening for a designer. But, I was fooled and got stuck with a job as janitor. They're thinking about getting rid of this and replacing it with a diesel engine and firing everypony on the staff except the conductors. But, it pays a lot, so I'm happy." Rarity said.
"Hm. Well, better go before I get yelled at again." He said.

With all friendship in check, Rarity and Jump said goodbye to each other. Little did Rarity know what was going to happen in the weeks to follow, such as the marriage between Verein and Jump. All she knew was that Jump was okay.

Chapter 7

Queen Verein

This was it. The moment that Jump had dreaded for so long, in only a short amount of time to prevent it. Jump and Verein walked down the aisle of a filled chapel while they sung the anthem of Ponyville. When they stopped, the two began to recite their vows.
"C'MON GUYS, WE HAVE TO STOP THE WEDDING!!!" Twilight yelled to the crowd behind her.
"WE WONT MAKE IT, DARLING!!" Rarity yelled back.
"RARITY, QUIT BEING A WHINNY BITCH AND KEEP RUNNING!!!" Scar yelled to Rarity.
"GUYS, QUIT FIGHTING!!! IT'S NOT GONNA HELP US STOP THAT WEDDING!!" Spike yelled.

They kept running for 15 minutes without stopping, all of them worried that they couldn't stop the wedding. This large crowd consisted of all of Jump's friends and family, Unicorns, Earth Ponies, Pegasi, and Alicorns, all running to save Jump from the forced marriage to Verein. When they reached Canterlot, they all spotted the Ponyville Republic's flag being raised. It was purple with a large orange V on it. But, unfortunately, it was too late. Around them, cheering ponies welcomed the newlyweds.

Above them stood Queen Verein, and now, King Jump. Jump looked down at his friends and family in disbelief. Tears came to his eyes as he began running.
"TWILIGHT!" The King said, before being dragged by his tie towards Verein.

Below, Twilight began to regret letting Equestria fall under the hands of a tyrant.
"That's it... I failed." She said.
"You haven't failed just yet, ... Princess." Celestia looked at Twilight before they began to walk off.

Twilight looked back at the two, now walking off. Jump looked back and knew he had the same feeling as Twilight. She still, deep down, felt ashamed of letting the marriage, the capture of Jump, and not preserving Equestria.

One week later, Verein and Jump arrived in Ponyville City, her hometown. They set their things down at Verein's old house in Ponyville and began for a walk. Verein walked by a stallion, lying next to a pole, mourning the loss of their daughter a few weeks ago. Verein looked over at them.
"Yeah. His name is Filthy Rich. His daughter disappeared the night the two got in an argument. No one knows what happened to her, and search teams have looked all over Equestria." Jump said as he looked over to Filthy Rich. "His daughter's name is Diamond Tiara."
"Oh. That's too bad. Now, we should go." Verein said before she grabbed Jump and ran off.

They walked to the carnival Jump had mentioned of earlier. Jump offered to pay for admission, but Verein told him they we're VIPs when they walked through. They rode several rides, including a Ferris Wheel, and Roller Coaster.
"So, why did you run off when I mentioned Diamond Tiara?" Jump asked.
Verein looked at him, wearily, before opening her mouth, when she was then interrupted by a soft, intimate Southern accent behind a booth. It was Applejack, and she was selling all different kinds of apples.
"Hey, ya'll!" She called to the two, happily waving as they looked over. "How about you come and refresh yourself with some apples for free!"
"Just ignore her, sweetie, she's nothing but a wannabe like the Canterlotians." Verein told Jump.
"Uh, I'm sorry, if I'm mistaken your highness, but did you just call me a wannabe?" Applejack asked Verein.
"Yes, I did." Verein said, smashing two very rare Zap Apples. "Deal with it. If you don't like it, get out of here!"
"I'm sorry, your-"
"I AM LEAVING!!"

Verein marched off in anger while Jump and Applejack watched her, giggling.
"How've you been, Your High-" Applejack asked, interrupted by Jump's calm hoof being placed on her lips, not as if by flirtation, but as a friend.
"There is no need to call me that." He said calmly. "Continue."
"How've you been, Jump?" She continued.
"I've been... okay."
"Verein being a bitch lately?"
"Ever since we've been ' married.'" Jump shivered at the idea that he was ' married' to a she-devil like Verein. "Have you talked to any of our friends lately?"
"Not since Wednesday, when the Zap Apples started growing, except Pinkie. I talked to her yesterday. She hasn't done so well since the Verein Revolution. Ponies don't seem to laugh. They all have attitudes anymore." She said. "Anyway, she said she really needs help. Everypony's been too busy to go and help. Maybe you can swing by and help."
"Mhmm. I'll make sure to tell her you said hi!" He said. "Bye."
"Alright, take care yourself now." She said.

So, Jump ran out of the carnival to Sugarcube Corner...

Chapter 6

Shining Armor

Verein, Jump, Thomas, and Laughy had just arrived in Town Center once more. They walked for three hours trying to find the hospital where Princess Cadence was in, learning before that she had ended up there because of food poisoning. They walked through the doors of the only hospital they haven't checked. Verein asked if Princess Cadence was there.
"Third floor, ma'am." The Nurse said, busy with her computer, typing away.

When the four ponies reached her hospital room, Cadence, Shining Armor, and Skylla were by her sides. Jump asked Verein why they were brought along. She ignored him and slammed the door in his face. Shining Armor got upset, so Verein teleported him and Skylla away.
"Why are you doing this? What happened to you that you've changed so quickly?" Cadence said.

Verein began to beat up Cadence, and the ill pony could do nothing except slap her here and there. The crowd in front of the door where she stayed could do nothing except listen to the cries and pleads for help, and the beating of Cadence's heart from the monitors beat faster. Everytime she would call for help, the Queen would say "Oh, it's the T.V." and continue to beat her. This continued for twenty minutes until finally... the monitors stopped. Verein took deep breathes and stormed out.
"NONE OF YOU DISGUSTING FUCKS GO IN THERE!!!" Verein shouted to the crowd in front of the door.

She walked out as if nothing happened at all. They got back on the train and left back to Canterlot, where guards were holding Prince Shining Armor.

Back in the Canterlot Mines, guards were taunting him for not helping to preserve Equestria.
"Well, well. Look who we have here." Verein said.
"Verein? What are you doing here? What did you do with Cadence?" Shining Armor said.
"I'm here to tell you that it was your family's fault that Equestria is gone." She said as she handed him Cadence's ring. "The injuries were pretty bad."
"She's..." He said before he started weeping.

Verein stared at Shining Armor.
"I couldn't get the supplies I needed in time, she did get what she needed in time."
"SO YOU KILLED HER??!!!"

Verein grabbed him by his throat.
"Listen here, piece of shit, she couldn't get the supplies I needed to rebuild MY republic. I bet you wouldn't have made it any faster, now would you smartass?"
"Get your hooves off of me."

Verein then nearly crushed his throat, and the guards dragged him back to the Crystal Empire. Verein teleported above ground, to Canterlot, where she calmed down and trotted to her room.
