Chapter I: A New World, & A New Journey
"Chaos... Control!"
The seven Chaos Emeralds spun around my body, & I disappeared in a flash of red light. The strain from using Chaos Control at such a powerful level almost always made me pass out, but this time I was simply disoriented. My vision blurred, but I could see shapes that looked like houses... & horses? A set of gasps erupted from around me, followed by speech from a multitude of voices.
"What is that thing?"
"Is it dangerous?"
"What`s with these rocks?"
Rocks?
My eyes became usable again, & I could see clearly. Surrounding me was a crowd of multicolored horses, pegasi, & unicorns. I noticed that a purple unicorn with a darker purple & pink mane was holding the red Chaos Emerald in some kind of telekinetic field. I leapt from my knees towards the unicorn & grabbed the Emerald from it. Apparently, it was female, if the scream she let out after I stood was anything to go off of. I also saw that all of them had some kind of strange mark on their hindquarters. The unicorns that was holding the Emerald was a pink star surrounded by smaller white ones. Her horn began to glow with a violet light which immediately washed over my body. I began to struggle against it, but my movement only made it that much tighter. It didnt hurt, but it was an extremely unusual sensation. She looked up at me with an intimidating expression.
"Who & what are you, & why did you just try to attack me for a rock!?"
"My name is Shadow. Shadow The Hedgehog. & this "rock" is an extremely powerful artifact. Now put me down!"
"I cant yet. Not until I know youre not as dangerous as you look."
"But I`m not."
"Oh yeah? Then why were you so possessive over this "extremely powerful artifact"?"
"First of all, theres seven of them. I have one on me at all times." I told her, taking out the white Emerald. "You have one too. Theyre called Chaos Emeralds. I`m one of only a select few that can manipulate their inherent magic."
"Wait. Chaos? Youre Discord in disguise, arent you?"
"Who are you talking about!? I told you, my name is Shadow! Now let me go!"
"I`ll let you go after one last question. Why are you here?"
"I didn`t even try to come here. Do you think I wanted to teleport myself to a world full of talking horses?"
She, alongside other members of the crowd, especially a white unicorn with a deep purple mane seemed to be deeply offended by the word "horse". She immediately came galloping out of the crowd, holding her horn against my neck.
"What... did you just call me!?"
"I said "horse". You are horses, right?" As I said this, she simply pressed her horn closer to my throat.
"Rarity, step back. If hes able to manipulate chaos magic, theres no telling what he can do." The other unicorn told her. Apparently, the other one`s name was Rarity.
"Twilight, you do realize that he was talking to all of us. Including you."
Twilight & Rarity. Might be good to know their names.
"Rarity, clearly hes either just really rude, or hes not from here. Give him a break." Rarity took a few steps back, & I looked over to Twilight.
"What`s so bad about the word horse?"
"I`ll explain later." She told me, her telekinesis fading & letting me land on my feet.
"Now, if you could come with me, I can answer any questions you have." She began walking towards a large tree with a sign on the front of it, & I followed, giving the crowd an awkward look, which they returned with extremely uncomfortable glances at me.
