What're ya'll makin' this time?" Applebloom asked shortly after entering the zebra's hut.   Zecora looked up from her cauldron, smiling, then said, "Oh, it is just another brew for an injured bear. Now, please, go get me that bottle of crystals over there."   "Wha--crystals? How do crystals help?" Applebloom said as she approached the shelf. The bottle of shiny white crystals was out of reach.   Zecora looked back down at her cauldron. "The crystals can melt and mix in with the liquid. It is not necessary, but it will help you become refreshed and ease the pain, as some of my potions are very dangerous, and can harm you very badly. But sometimes it's a little too cold...yes, frigid."   "Well, ah can't reach the crystals. Do ya have some sort o' potion that makes me fly or somethin'?" Applebloom questioned as she continued to stare at the bottle of crystals.   "Sadly, I do not. But you could jump very high with a short, but fast trot," Zecora explained as she began to stir the bubbling stew.   It took a moment for Applebloom to figure out what the potion-making zebra said, but she smiled. "Oh yeah!" she exclaimed.   The yellow filly stepped back, then rushed forward with great speed. She jumped up, just barely high enough to reach the crystals, and fastened the bottle in her jaws. Landing, she said in a muffled voice, "I goff it, Thuhcora!"   Applebloom stumbled over to Zecora's side, then set the bottle down carefully next to a book. She remembered that book very easily, it was the book that Twilight had too, which was about supernatural cures. The red-maned filly looked over at the brew that Zecora had finished stirring, then flinched slightly. It was still bubbling, and it had a sharp smell.   "Oh no! I am missing a special ingredient! Applebloom, please, stay here and take care of my hut. Be obedient," Zecora abruptly said.   "Oh, okay! Ah'll take good care o' everythin'!" Applebloom said, smiling happily, although feeling quite nervous.   "Good. Remember that, little Applebloom!" Zecora called as she left the hut.   Applebloom swiftly closed the door, then rushed over to the cauldron excitedly. s   "Well, it doesn't look that bad," Applebloom noted quietly, grinning mischievously. But she was careful not to consume it. She shivered as she remembered the Cutie Pox she had.   The stew had now turned pink, its odor sweet. It looked enticing. Applebloom leaned down into the cauldron and dipped her tongue into the pink liquid. It tasted like candy, she had to have this recipe. Applebloom flipped open the book of supernatural cures and such and looked through the plants section.   The yellow filly stopped at a page titled "Cherry Candy Plant". She read it. After a few minutes, she finished reading it, and it seemed like it was the plant form of candy, with a hint of cherry in the taste. It was self explanatory, as well as extremely tasty.
