'RingRingRing! RingRingRing! Phone Call! Phone Call! RingRingRing! RingRingRing! Phone Call! Phone Call! RingRingRing! RingRingRing! Phone Call! Phone Call!' The persistent sound of a phone rung within the dark room of a college dorm as its owner scurried around looking for the phone before it went to voice mail. "Where is it? Where is it?!" He searched under the far from neat blanket of his bed where he had previously left it. He eventually found it. "Finally! Ooh! A Skype call!" -click- "Sora! Hey! Long time no see!" The owner of the phone spoke to his friend on the other side of the call. "Matt, we were just talking to each other in the café not five minutes ago." Sora replied through the phone. "What? Five minutes is a long time!" "Oh hush, you!" Sora was another college student and a longtime friend of Matt. Ever sense the two were in preschool they have been friends. They basically grew up together! And what kept them together as friend for so long?... "Hey! Bet 'cha can't beat me in a battle this time!" "One v One?" "You're on!" Matt proceeded to pull out his custom Pokémon skinned 3DS equipped with Pokémon Y and turned it on. ... Pokémon! Ever sense the release of the first two games, Sora and Matt would constantly trade, train and battle to see which of the two, was the best. They would always look for each other before and after school so that they could hang out and just play Pokémon with each other and the further the technology of gaming and Pokémon advanced the easier it was it was to battle with each other. Especially when Pokémon became available to the Nintendo DS. They no longer had to be within the same room as each other thanks to Wi-Fi connections. No more cords holding them down. They were able to go virtually anywhere and play Pokémon with each other and with the addition of the 3DS and Pokémon X and Y, there adventures became even more incredible. "Go! Glaceon!" "Go! Eevee!" "Urgh! Eevee again?" Sora groaned. "You should be one to talk! You're still using that same old Glaceon that you always use!" Matt complained. "What? You know Glaceon's my favorite!" "And Eevee is mine!" "At least Glaceon is actually competitive!" "Eevee is adorable!" "Glaceon's a beauty queen!" "Eevee is-" Matt was rudely interrupted. "Oh would you both please shut up! Can't you see I'm trying to work here?!" Brad, Matt's room-mate and science genius, yell at Matt. Brad had been working on a major scientific achievement that would blow the minds of many. "Sorry, Brad" The two apologized shyly. "Hey Brad, are you almost done with that thing yet?" Matt asked curiously. Brad nodded. "Just about. I just have a few screws to tighten and it should be ready." Brad turned around back to his machine and continued working on it. "Oh, AWESOME!" "What? Oh come on. Matt, can you please tell me what it does now?" "Not yet! I'll let you know later but for now, let's battle. Eevee! Use Shadow Ball!" Nearly caught off guard, Sora quickly retaliated. "Oh yeah? Glaceon! Use Sheer Cold!" It’s a 1-hit K-O! "What?! How do you always hit me with that?!" "MMMagic." "It's finished!" Brad shouted as he stood up from his seat. "I gotta go tell Professor Maple!" Brad quickly ran out of the dorm room and towards his Professor. Matt looked down at his phone and simply said, "If you wanna see the most awesome thing in your life, then come to my dorm now." "What?" -click- Matt hung up his phone and just stared at Brad's finished machine. "I can't believe he finally did it." Sora was running down the hallways towards Matt's dorm room. "I can't believe I finally get to find out what that thing does. He better not be trolling me!" When she finally reached Matt's door, she lifted her arm and knocked on the door. Knock. Knock. Knock. She didn't have to wait long before Matt opened the door for her. "Took you long enough!" That one sentence nearly infuriated Sora, luckily for Matt, Sora had grown accustom to Matt's antics. "Yeah. Well, I brought my DS just in case this machine isn't as 'amazing' as you say it is." Mat moved out of the way to let Sora in as knowing grin crossed his face. "Oh-ho-ho! This is even more amazing then I said it was." He led Sora over to the round machine sitting on Brad's desk and gestured to it. "Say hello to the portal to Ponyville!" Sora gasped in shocked excitement. Now, Matt and Sora have been watching a show that was shown on the Hub network called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" sense the year 2011 when they decided to watch the first episode for fun. That one episode, however, had transformed Matt and Sora into the bronies they are so proud of being today. "You mean THE Ponyville? As in, My Little Pony's Ponyville?" Sora asked excitedly barley containing her excitement. This made Matt laugh. "Eeyup! Matt has been working on this baby for a long time now. By the way, Brad's a closet brony." "What?! You're kidding me! Oh my goodness! And he just finished it?!" "Wanna turn it on and find out?" Sora's expression went from surprised to flabbergasted in under a second. All she could say was simply, "Do it." That was all Matt needed to hear before he flipped on the switch to the machine. The machine then proceeded to make a fairly loud buzzing sound as it powered up to create the portal but eventually, the bright blue light of the portal shined throughout the room. Matt and Sora just stared at it, amazed that it had actually been working. Matt looked over at Sora who couldn't look away from the trance-inducing portal. "Wanna go through?" Sora continued to look at the portal, only answering Matt with a simple nod. Matt then offered Sora his hand. Finally being able to look away from the portal, Sora looked at the hand being offered to her. She gracefully accepted it and didn't plan on letting go. Matt held onto Sora's hand tightly and brought their hands to the portal. As their hands grew closer and closer to the portal, the portal seemed to open up to them in a vortex fashion yet keeping its blue hue. When their hands made contact with the portal it created a sort of a vacuum effect pulling in many loose papers from within the room. Matt and Sora struggled to keep their footing as the portal was pulling them in against their will until the fell in and disappeared from the room. The portal machine itself imploded turning all of its expertly positioned pieces into smoldering, shattered crisps leaving the room in a chaotic mess and a scorch mark on the desk. Then the door to the room opened once more, allowing the sound of Brad's voice fill the room. "... However, my portal is only good for a single use, one-way. So I was hoping that the school could supply me with the proper funding to make multiple portal machines so that no one going through it would get stuck on the other side." When Brad finished his explanation to Prof. Maple, he turned his head and looked at the now nearly destroyed room. "My word. It seems as if someone set off a small explosion in here." Said Prof. Maple as he looked around the room. However, Brad didn't look at the room much. His focus was on a scorch mark that happened to be on the exact same spot his portal machine was set before he left. "Someone... Someone used my machine!" "Couldn't you just use your notes and build another one?" Asked Prof. Maple. "I can't. I don't have the proper funding to... Wait... No... No. No! No!!! NoNoNo!!! Nooooooo!!!!!!!" "Brad. Whatever is the matter?" "My notes!" Brad gestured to an empty spot on his desk. "I left my notes right here when I went to go find you!" He let out a gasp as he realized a possibility of what might have happened. "They must have gone into the portal! Urgh! The vortex from the portal must sucked up my notes! I couldn't build another one even if I DID have the funding!" He fell to his knees as the whole reality of the situation dawned on him. "Fifteen years of just coming up with the portal technology, ten of those years spent searching for the perfect place to go. It's all gone now. All of it. Who would do something like th... It's too quiet in hear. Where's Ma-?" Brad quickly looked back at the scorch mark on his desk. "Oh no! Matt!" "Brad, what are you talking about? Where is Matt? As a matter of fact, WHO is Matt?" Inquired Prof. Maple. Brad looked over at Prof. Maple in a fit of rage. "Matt is my roommate and my best friend!!!" Brad calmed down a bit and took to a look of sadness before continuing. "He was my only friend... and now he's gone... forever." Meanwhile, in Ponyville. A young, lavender unicorn was finishing up some calculations in her basement. "... Carry the two. Divide by pi. Minus one. Perfect! According to my math, this spell should work. Alright, let's just test this out real quick." The lavender unicorn charged up her horn with the calculated amount of magic necessary to perform her spell. She needed complete and utter focus. The slightest mistake could have some serious- "Hey Twilight! You down here!" "Waaah!!!" ... repercussions. A young purple dragon came running down some steps after he saw a bright flash come from the basement. When he reached the bottom of the stares he ran over to the lavender unicorn. "Oh my gosh! Twilight, are you alright?!" Twilight, who had fallen on her back after the dragon had broken her focus, got up and lectured the dragon. "Spike, how many times have I told you not to bother me when I am working in here? Something dangerous or horribly wrong could have happened. Wait." Twilight frantically looked around her basement laboratory for anything that might have been odd or out of place. Luckily for Twilight, there wasn't. She let out a relived sigh. "Good. Nothing bad happened." She looked over at the young dragon. "You were lucky this time Spike. Nothing happened." However, something did happen. Twilight's spell might not have affected her lab, or rather Ponyville for that matter, but it did affect two people that were currently traveling to Ponyville. Meanwhile, from within the portal, Sora and Matt traveled what seemed to be forward at what seemed to be a very high speed. However, something was off. Both of them had been going forward for about five minutes and after the initial jolt of adrenalin, it was a seemingly slow process. "Hey, Matt! How long have we been in this thing?!" Shouted Sora screaming over the strange sounds of the portal. "I don't know! But you'd think a portal would be, you know, faster?!" Suddenly, both Matt and Sora felt something seemingly pulse through them. Matt, with an expression of shock and concern looked over to Sora. "Did you feel that?!" "Yeah! What was that?!" Sora asked a bit fearfully. "I don't know! Maybe it means we passed the halfway point!" Then Matt noticed a light emanating from within Sora's pocket. "Hey! There's something glowing in your pocket!" Sora looked down at her pocket and saw the glow of... something. "What is that?!" Then she looked over to Matt and noticed a similar light emanating from his pocket. "Matt! You have one too!" Matt looked down at his pocket and noticed a similar glow that he saw was in Sora's pocket. Then both of them, curious about what the glow may be, reached into their pockets and pulled out their... DS's? Somehow their DS's were glowing. Matt and Sora were unquestionably puzzled by this. How in the world were their DS's glowing? Why were they glowing? What was going on? But their thoughts were cut short as lightning strikes coming from the edges of the portal's walls engulfed their DS's causing them to hover in front of their owners. This puzzled them even more. But as soon as they tried to reach-out for their game systems the glowing and the lightning grew brighter and stronger. They grew so strong that Matt and Sora weren't able to look at it. Then Matt and Sora felt two explosions and the light all of a sudden disappearing. They looked all around them and they were not able to believe what they saw. All around them floated every single Pokémon that ever existed. But unfortunately for them, they weren't able to enjoy the sight of these wondrous creatures. As they reached the end of the portal a bright light blinded their sight and they both felt something strange happen to them. When the light subsided, Matt opened his eyes. He regretted that decision as soon as he made it. The first thing that he saw was the ground. Unfortunately for him, the ground was a good 10 feet below him. “Oh no. No. No! NO! NO!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!” Matt let out a terrified scream as gravity took hold and started pulling him straight for the ground. “Urgh!” He hit the ground with a large thud. Pain shot all through-out his body. “Ow. My… everything.” Still in pain, Matt tried to pick-up his body. The only problem with that was that it felt really weird. Usually Matt would use his knees as a sort of checkpoint while using his arms to pick up his body ending up in a crawling position. But this time, his body felt as though it skipped that step. Matt still had his hands on the floor from picking himself up, but somehow his feet were touching the floor instead of his feet. What was even weirder was the fact that his body wasn't in some awkward position to keep him standing like this. It was as if his arms and legs, somehow, became exactly the same height. He eventually ignored it and continued his process to stand. Matt soon found out that standing up on two legs became really awkward and very uncomfortable. Luckily for him, the crawl position he tried earlier felt quite comfortable and, somehow, natural. “Okay. Something weird is going on here.” Matt just took a breath to calm himself down and looked onward. That’s when he noticed how close he was to the ground. While it is a given that if he was in a crawling position that he’d already be closer to the ground. But this was different. If Matt was crawling, he’d be about 2 and a half feet above the ground but instead, he was only a foot off of the ground. He was short… or shrunken… or just smaller? Curious about his new found height to look at feet… “What happened to my feet?!” Well he would have looked at his feet, only, they weren't exactly the feet he remembered. Instead they were short stubby things covered in fur. He picked up one of his feet and took a good look at it. “It’s… It’s a… It’s a paw?!” //-------------------------------------------------------// What's going on? //-------------------------------------------------------// What's going on? In the Golden Oaks Library, Twilight was looking over her notes in her basement laboratory making sure that her interrupted spell wouldn't have any negative repercussions. She came up with a few highly unlikely scenarios: Mutating a few nearby ponies; Once again switching everypony's cutie-marks; Interrupting the teleportation of one or more individuals... She would have made a seemingly infinite list of things that could go wrong had it not been for a strange and sudden noise that came from the library. "GLAAAAAAA!!!" Thud! At first Twilight thought that Spike might have fallen off of a ladder while picking out a book but then she remembered that she had sent Spike to Rarity's so that he could be occupied enough so that he couldn't distract Twilight during her experiment. And even if Spike had returned from Rarity's, the sound was more feminine then any sound Spike could make. Curiosity overcame Twilight as she cautiously walked up the stairs leading into the main room of the library. She reached the door and when she opened it... "Oww... That hurt." Sora was laying on the floor, rubbing her head from this painful headache that probably happened from the fall. "Matt... Remind me to kill you when everything stops hurting." When Sora didn't get a response back she opened her eyes. "Matt?" She looked around and, although she couldn't find him, what really took her by surprise were her surroundings. Where she was once in a college dorm room she was now surrounded by tons of books. This was defiantly not a place she had been before. And yet, it was very familiar to her. She turned her head taking in the view of the whole room. All of the books, all of the natural wood holding it all in place, the large violet eyes staring deep into her sole, the natural light coming in through the windows... Wait... Eyes? Sora turned back quickly to the large pair of eyes staring at her. "AHHHHH!" They screamed simultaneously, backing away from each other in fear. When Sora finally came back to her senses she saw what was staring at her and she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Right there, right in front of her eyes, was the one and only, living, breathing Twilight Sparkle. Sure she was shocked and scared but it was her. Mesmerized by what she saw, Sora tried to get up and walk over to the shocked mare only to get up on two feet for about one second before falling face first onto the floor. Thud! "Oww. That hurt." Trying to pick herself off of the ground, Sora had a clear view of her hand... or she would have had not two dark blue, three toed... paws appeared in place of her hands. "Wha... Whaaa?" She let out as she slowly and cautiously raised a paw closer to her. "I... How...?" She paused, looked at twilight, only to mutter, "Help." before she passed-out in shock. Opening his eyes after fainting, Matt groggily got up. "Urgh. Please tell me I was dreaming." He said before looking down for his hand. However he was disappointed when he spotted furry, brown paws in place of his hands. He lowered his head in defeat and sighed, "It wasn't a dream." He dropped himself to the ground and stared at his paws. His familiar-looking paws. "Wait, familiar?" Matt got up and took a closer look at his changed form. Everything about him looked familiar. As if he had seen it hundreds of times before but he just couldn't put his finger on it. "If only there was a way for me to see my face." He frantically looked around for something reflective like a mirror unfortunately, he was in the middle of a forest and not a single landmark was in sight. "Oh, come on! There's gotta be something around here." He continued his search around the vast amount of trees finding nothing to help him. Then out of the corner of his eye he spots a glimmer of light. "Ah! My eye!" Alright it was more of a bright beam of light that shined directly into his eye. As he rubbed said eye he stumbled his way towards the bright glimmer. The closer he got the more the forest seemed to open up, revealing the bright blue sky above. Once he made it through the trees he was able to see that the thing that blinded his vision was a still pond. "A pond! Yes! That's perfect!" He paused to look down at his paws. "Now to see just what I am." He slowly made his way over to the pond and looked into the water. As expected, when he looked into said pond he was able to see his reflection. However, it wasn't his reflection. Instead there stood the reflection of an... "Eevee?" He was stunned to say the least. How in the world could he be an Eevee? That was just insane! There was no possible way this could happen! Of course like any sane person would do in this situation... he panicked. "AHHHH! HUH?! UH... WHAT?! HOW? WHY?" After a good hour of screaming, he calmed himself enough to think somewhat logically. "Okay. Okay. So I'm an Eevee. That... isn't all bad. At least I like Eevee. Shoot! Who am I kidding? Eevee's my favorite pokemon! I should be glad I'm an Eevee! There's just one thing... How? How am I an Eevee. The only thing I remember is using Brad's portal thing and... Oh no. Sora!" At the realization of his missing friend he once again began to frantically search around the area, however this time he was searching for his friend who was no where to be seen. The only things he could see were trees, trees, a house, an open field, some more trees... "Wait, a house?!" Matt turned back to the house and saw that it... It was Fluttershy's house! Green leaf colored look, natural wood impression, random animals scattered about... It was  without a doubt Fluttershy's house. "Did... Did Brad's portal... really work? I'm... I'm in Equestria!" Over come with joy, Matt began jumping around and cheering in excitement. "Haha! I'm in E-que-stria! I'm in E-que-stria! I'm in E-que-stria! I'm in E-que-stria! Man, I'm an Eevee... IN Equestria! If only Sora could see..." Realizing that his was still missing, worry flowed into him. "Oh no! Sora! What if she didn't make it?! I have to find her!... And I may need some help." With that said Matt made his way over to the house that belonged to Fluttershy. "What are you?" Twilight was in the main room of her library closely examining a strange blue cat... dog... fox... thing sitting on her table! "A light blue coat, dark blue paws and a.... snow hat? No! It's part of your head! Incredible." "Gla-Glaceon!" The blue creature said with an annoyed tone to her voice. Twilight backed away from the creature, looked at it in what she assumed was it's face and questioned, "Why do you keep saying that? Glaceon?" The creature's eyes widened at that. "Gla?" The creature seemed to be in a state of shock. Having waited a whole minute for the creature to move, she decided to try and communicate with it. It couldn't hurt to try. "What are you?" The creature looked at the lavender alicorn. It studied her for a minute before replying, "Glaceon?" "Is that what you are? A Glaceon?" The creature then proceeded to examine itself, looking all around it's ice-blue body. After getting up and going in a circle a few times to examine more of its body, the creature slowly turned towards Twilight, obvious confusion on it's face, and nodded. "That was a strange reaction. Wait! Did you just nod?!" The creature nodded once again. "You can understand me?!" Another nod. Twilight freaked at that response. "Oh sweet Celestia! This is incredible! You can actually understand me and you can answer back. You must be some sort of sapient life form! Wh-wha-what did you say you were again?" Hesitantly the creature answered, "Gl-Glaceon." "Glaceon. Well it's very nice to meet you. I am Princess Twilight Sparkle." The Princess raised her hoof in greeting. The Glaceon looked at her nonchalantly. "Gla Glaceon Gla." "Um, I didn't quite get that. Is your name all you can say?" The Glaceon looked frustrated but nodded. "Glaceon." "That would prove to be difficult for me to understand you then." Twilight quickly looked around her to try and find something that would help her. Once she found it she let out an "Ah ha!" before picking it up. "Multiuse Translation Spells for Dummies! They have a book for just about everything don't they? Just give me a quick minute while I look for the right spell to use in this situation." Twilight quickly searched through the book skimming through many different types of translation spell before finding one she believes would work. "Alright. This is going to feel a little weird but it should help us communicate." Twilight closed the book and focused on the Glaceon sitting on the table. Her horn glowing a magenta glow she felt the spell almost prime and ready and once it was, she shot the magic towards the Glaceon. The Glaceon flinched as the magic hit but after that it relaxed and let the magic take hold. Once the spell was done the Glaceon raised a paw to its, for some reason sore throat, coughed a couple of times and said in a feminine voice "H-hello?" "Alright. Just knock on the door Matt. You can do this!" Matt stood at the door way to Fluttershy's home which he had found earlier. Little to say, it wasn't going well for him. "It's no big deal. It's just Fluttershy, your... favorite... of the... ponies. No Matt. Now's not the time for that. I have to find Sora and if I'm going to do that I need as much help as I can get. Alright, here goes nothing." Matt rose his paw and knocked. Thu! Thu! Thu! His soft padding muffled every single one of Matt's knock making them near inaudible. However, the door was still answered. "Oh. Um, Hello? Is anypony there?" It was her. The yellow mare known a Fluttershy was poking her head out from inside her house looking around for whoever it was who knocked her door. Matt gulped. There she is. He stood there staring up at the cream colored mare, eyes wide and mouth just a slight bit a gap. Fluttershy looked around some more before looking down and finding a strange cat... dog... fox... thing staring up at her in front of her doorway. Fluttershy, being the animal enthusiast she is smiled and said, "Oh! Hello there." The creature started to smile I've never seen anything like you before." Matt replied with a happy, "Hi!" However to Fluttershy he was just some creature that replied with a sweet and cheerful, "Eevee!" "Oh. Aren't you just the cutest little thing." Fluttershy said, not being able to contain herself. "I know. Why don't you come inside and I'll make you a delicious salad? What do you say?" Ooo... A salad would be good right now. Matt shook his head furiously at an attempt to rid his mind of the thought for now and putting on a more serious expression. He had to find Sora! "No!" He shouted in retort but to Fluttershy all she heard was "Eevee!" Fluttershy noticed the change in the creature's attitude. "Huh? Is something wrong? Do you eat something besides salad?" The creature shook its head. "Is there something bothering you?" Matt once again shook his head and said, "My best friend is missing!" However his voice was lost in translation and all Fluttershy understood was there was a creature that shouted "Eevee Eevee Eevee!" "Is there something missing?" Matt's eyes widened and he nodded his head. "Yes!" Or as Fluttershy heard it. "Eevee!" "Is it your food?" He nodded no. "Is it a toy?" Another nod. "Is it a friend of yours?" This time Matt jumped as he nodded shouting, "Yes! That's it!" Or "Eevee! Eevee!" "Did you get separated?" "Yes!" Or "Eevee!" "Okay. So you lost your friend. Do you think you know where they might be?" Matt stopped dead in his tracks and nodded sadly. "Oh no. It's okay. Fluttershy will help you find your friend. You won't have to worry about a thing. Oh! And maybe my friends would help too." Matt put on a big smile on his face, ran to Fluttershy and began to nuzzle her hoof in a cute and affectionate thank you. "Oh. Just look at you. You're so cute." Then Fluttershy was hit by a realization. "Wait!" She pulled the creature away from her and looked at it in the eyes. "Have you been answering everything I asked you?" Matt nodded his head and Fluttershy promptly fainted. //-------------------------------------------------------// The End? //-------------------------------------------------------// The End? Gotta hurry! Matt ran towards .............. as he carried the .................. He was nearly there. He could see it's doorway in the distance. Almost there! Come on! With a sudden burst of speed, Matt rushed towards ................ and straight through the door to find Sora laying in a small pool of blood screaming in pain. "Sora!" Matt ran up to her. "I'm here Sora! I'm Here!" He stood at her side as her pain brought her tears. "Matt... It hurts." Sora stared at Matt, obvious pain in her eyes. "I know, I know, just ................." Matt consoled her in her time of pain. "I've got it Sora! It's right here!" Matt showed her the ............... Sora was able to let out a smile as she replied, "Y-You did it. You found the last ............ We can finally-" "So let me see if I understand." Twilight asked, finishing a note that she was scribbling down. "So you're from a different world," "Yes." Replied the light blue creature she found out whose name was Sora. She had told Twilight her name earlier along with a few other things. "You used to be a human," "Yup." "You came here through a portal device," "Uh-huh." "And you are now a video game character." "You got it." "Did I miss anything?" The lavender alicorn asked. Sora smiled. “So far so good!” “Great!” The princess said with a smile. After a shaky introduction and Twilight getting over her initial shock, both her and Sora sat at her table in the front room of the library, a cup of tea beside either of them on their respective spots on the table. Twilight took a sip of tea before she cleared her throat and continued. “So I have a few questions for… everything you just said.” Sora let out a sigh. “Yeah, I know. I was just being vague to give you the gist of what happened. So what do you want me to explain first?” She asked. Twilight thought for a second before asking, “You said you were a human, but humans are fictional characters from a children’s television show. How can you be human?” “Really?” Sora said before chuckling a little. “That is just a huge coincidence isn’t it?” That caught the lavender alicorn by surprise. “What do you mean?” “Well,” Sora started, “back where I come from, you’re the main –well, one of the main—characters of a little girls’ TV show.” Twilight stared at her guest with wide eyes. “Y-you’re kidding.” “No really. You have a TV show called My Little Pony. I watch it all the time!” Twilight just sat there staring blankly ahead of her. “Uh, Twilight?” Sora waved a paw in front of the dazed alicorn. “Hello in there!” Sora stopped before an idea came to her and she put on a fiendish grin whist raising a clenched paw up to the princess’ forehead before- “Knock, knock.” The still dazed Twilight responded with a, “Who’s there?” Sora smiled and replied, “Owlowiscious goes.” “Owlowiscious goes wh-?“ The unresponsive Twilight reverted back to her normal state of mind in time to catch herself from finishing her question. Then she sarcastically replied, “Oh, ha-ha very funny.” Sora shrugged. “Had to bring you back somehow.” With that said, she returned to her seat at the table. "Well, it's good to know that you have a sense of humor."  Twilight mumbled a few words under her breath as she wrote down another note in her notepad. "Alright, so I'm a cartoon and you're a cartoon..." Sora, being who she is, just had to add her two cents. "Actually, if you count what I am now I'm a cartoon two times over." Twilight looked at her confused before glancing at her notes. "I thought you said that you were a video game character, not a cartoon character." Once again, Sora shrugged, "Well, the game that I... or rather, my body comes from was very popular and it became a television show with the same name. Hence being a cartoon twice over." "Right." Twilight replied unconvinced as she wrote yet another note into her notepad. "Anything important I should know about this game... show... thing?" Sora took a second to think that over, smiled sheepishly as she said, "Well..." before getting interrupted when the door opened. "Twilight, darling, I found the most peculiar object in my workroom today and..." Rarity had opened the door and started to make her way towards Twilight but halted when she caught sight of Sora sitting at the table next to Twilight, both of them staring back at her. "Um, Twilight? Who's this?" Twilight, being the ever so observant pony she is finally took notice of the shocked expression on Rarity's face as she put on a shocked face of her own. "Oh! Rarity! I wasn't expecting you!" Twilight gestured back towards the Glaceon before she continued. "This is Sora. She sort of just... showed up not to long ago. We were just talking about how she got here and what she happened to be at the moment." Rarity only stared at Twilight with much concern for her friend. "Twilight... that's a blue cat." Twilight's expressions changed to that of annoyance. Sora felt unamused but she should have expected this. She did come to Equestria, a place that's never even heard of Pokemon. Or possibly Earth for that matter. Shook the thought out of her head and figured that if she was going to make any progress here in Ponyville, let alone Equestria, that these ponies were going to have to get used to seeing her around. So she did the only sensible think she could think of. "Hi! I'm Sora!" She blew the poor mare head twenty times over... Okay maybe I exaggerated a little bit. "Uh... Fluttershy? Are you okay? Hello in there!" Matt was pawing at Fluttershy's body trying to rouse the sleeping mare to a more... lets say a more conscious state. However, unfortunately for him Fluttershy was just not waking up. He really hoped that he hadn't indirectly hurt her. "At least she's breathing. That's a good sign... I hope." Matt grunted in frustration and would have proceeded into a rant had he not been tackled onto his back away from Fluttershy when he wasn't looking. "STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!" Bombed a voice into the unexpected Eevee's ears. "OW! Big ears, big ears." Matt wished he had been turned into a pokemon with less sensitive hearing. It would have hurt less. "I don't care how big your ears are! You're gonna feel a lot worse in about two second unless you start talking!" The voice sounded oddly familiar to Matt. Angry, of course, but still familiar. Matt opened his eyes to see just who was yelling at him only to fine the angry and terrifying Rainbow Dash glaring, not daggers, but fully fledged swords at him. Little to say, Matt was terrified, nearly to the point where he would be laying down in the middle of a small puddle on the floor. The only thing he could to was to smile nervously, and chuckle, "U-Uh...H-Hi?" Rainbow Dash had none of that as shown by her punching the floor next to Matt's head with her hoof before shouting, "Stop playing games you... uh... er..." Rainbow Dash stuttered and scrunched her face as she tried to remember something. "Vermin?" As smart as Matt liked to think he was, he was naive and would often hinder himself instead of actually help himself. This was no exception. "What did you say?" There were many things Matt doesn't enjoy. One of these things that was near the top of his list was someone who was angry with him. However at the very top of the list  was the one thing that would make the manliest of men, let alone him, cringe in fear... Angry women. Remember that puddle mentioned earlier that nearly happened? ...Yeah. It happened and it wasn't a small one either. With his eyes closed, his body curled into a ball and shaking fiercely as he whimpered into his paws. Yeah, Matt's not exactly what you would call a manly man. He was never one to get into any serious confrontations, especially with women. He knew that he would never win an argument against any of them. And whenever it came to just a normal confrontation he would have to use nearly all his strength to just keep from choking up. So to say that a confrontation like this was out of his comfort zone was a huge understatement. This caught Rainbow off guard. Whenever she was in a confrontation it was either with a bully, a jerk or someone she was competing with. She never faced anyone so... wimpy. She felt kinda sorry for the poor thing and backed away a few steps. Maybe she had over done it. Then she came to a sudden stop. Her back hoof made contact with the unconscious form of Fluttershy and she remembered why she was angry in the first place. Then she went back to the shaking ball of cowardly fluff, forced it to look at her and threateningly asked, "What did you do to her?" Matt stared into Rainbow's eyes and saw the burning core of anger deep within, while obvious fear remained in his. Tears had been running down with fear in the fear that an onslaught of pain was coming his way. He had not been so scared since he was a little kid getting in trouble for complaining about how he didn't get a toy. He did the best he could to reply to her question but it was still shaky. "I-I-I don't know! She-She just fainted! Please don't hurt me Rainbow Dash!" He pleaded hoping that the rainbow colored mare would allow him to live. Rainbow was taken aback from the last statement. He just said my name! How does he know my name?! Rainbow had a slight mental panic and would have gotten enraged with paranoia had she not felt Fluttershy move behind her. She looked back to find her friend get up onto her hooves while rubbing one of her temples which she fell on when she fainted. "Ugh- Rainbow Dash? What-What are you doing?" "Alright. I think I understand now darling." "Yes! First try!" Sora had finished telling Rarity everything she had just told Twilight and from the looks of it everything she had taken it very well. She didn't even have to repeat anything! "I still have some questions though." Well not everything can be perfect. Rarity pulled out something from behind her that she somehow kept hidden from Twilight and Sora even when unconscious and showed it to the Glaceon. "Would you know anything about what this is?" In her magic she held a dual-colored spherical object with a white button in the front. Sora's eyes widened as she instantly recognized the iconic red and white sphere pointing at her. "Is tha... That's a... How did... Th... THAT'S A POKEBALL!" Sora snatched the ball out of Rarity's magical grasp and examined it, nostalgia filling her every bone. She rubbed along the ball feeling it's smooth, shiny surface admiring it with her equally shined eyes. While mesmerized by the smooth, shiny ball she accidentally pressed her paw against it's button, opening it up. "Uh, oh." When the red and white sphere opened up a red beam of light shot out and engulfed Sora in it's glow turning her body into the beam's red energy. With Sora converted into red energy she was pulled into the ball which closed as soon as all of the red energy finished it's retreat into the ball. //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions in Motion //-------------------------------------------------------// Emotions in Motion “I am very disappointed in you Rainbow Dash.” Fluttershy stated, staring at her Rainbow maned friend. “But he-“ “No buts! Couldn’t you see how scared it was? You scared it senseless!” Matt was… not in the best of places right now. He had pretty much floundered his chance of retaining any masculinity he might have had before his… encounter with a wild Rainbow Dash and now he was hiding behind a Legendary level 50 Fluttershy while she talked down to said Rainbow Dash, now reduced to a level 1… or at least that’s how Matt viewed it. It would take either a huge, super hero-esc rescue mission, bringing home the head of a fully grown dragon or do random “masculine” things all the time for him to regain his masculinity. Not that it was actually important to him or anything but, being a guy, it was nice to have just in case. You never know what you can use until you do. “I only yelled at him a bit... a-and I only did that because I saw you on the ground… unconscious. I-I thought he might have hurt you or something.” Rainbow mumbled now given a chance to speak. “I appreciate you wanting to protect me. But…” Rainbow’s only thought was, Oh no! “It was not nice of you to attack…” Fluttershy paused and looked at the now slightly shaking creature. Matt noticed the pause and replied with a quick “Matt.” but to Fluttershy it only came out as a quiet yet shaky, “Eevee.” “Eevee.” Fluttershy finished. Rainbow was a little confused by this. She didn’t hear him say ‘Eevee’ what she heard was, “Um, he just said his name was ‘Matt’.” That was only to accomplish confusing Fluttershy and surprising Matt who responded with a shocked, “YOU CAN UNDERSTAND POKE-SPEECH?!” Twilight and Rarity were bewildered by what they just saw. One moment they were talking to the beautiful Glaceon known as Sora and the next a white energy came out of a red and white ball that she seemed to recognize and absorbed her within said ball. Now the ball was just lying on the a red light fading in and out of what seemed to be a button that was attached to it as it shook on the ground… Wobble …Once… Wobble …Twice… Wobble …It shook a full three times before it burst open releasing a red energy that then turned into a now panting Sora. “Get that thing away from me!” She screamed as she distanced herself from the now broken two halves of the ball. Twilight and Rarity were dumbfounded. They had just seen something be converted into pure energy and then be reconstructed from a different energy. “How… How did you…? Did that…?” Rarity was unable to ask any of her questions. Twilight on the other hand… err… hoof… or… paw? “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!” Twilight squealed and started spouting out words at a speed that rivaled Pinkie Pie. “You just went through a full cycle matter conversion! Nearly every sort of scientific matter conversion theoretically would need a power source the size of Manehatten and you only did it with a ball that could not only change size but fit into a pocket in its smaller form!” She quickly picked up the broken pokeball in her magical grasp and held it close to her face to closely examine it. “I have to find out how this works and write a report on it and try to replicate the results. I wonder if Celestia would mind if I borrowed some of her students to help recreate this in Canterlot. This could bring so much convenience ponies everywhere! Our scientific capabilities would go through the roof! This could be the start of an entirely new scientific era for all of Equestria and everyone else in Eques! I could go down in history as the Princess that led all of Eques into a new world of possibilities! I could-“ “TWILIGHT!!!” The lavender alicorn was brought to a stop when Rarity yelled and interrupted her mind ramble. The unicorn cleared her throat before lecturing her friend. “Twilight, darling, you were getting a bit ahead of yourself. Also, if you haven’t noticed, that… thing seems to be broken. Probably from poor Sora here trying to escape that strange device. Besides, I don’t think that you’d be able to get everything you need to know from a broken one. Turning somepony into energy seems quite complicated and if something doesn’t work correctly… well, I’d rather not think of such things.” Twilight seemed to become disheartened by that and spoke with less enthusiasm. “But… But… Science… What about the science?” Rarity placed a hoof on Twilight’s shoulder and sighed. “You can go do… the science later, darling. Right now there is another matter that needs our attention.” Twilight turned to look at Sora. She had backed up against a wall and is now shaking as she stares at the broken remains of the pokeball. Twilight sighed before placing the broken pokeball back on the ground, going over to Sora and placing a hoof on her back, rubbing it slowly to comfort their shocked new friend as Rarity walked to them and did the same. “So Zecora made you a potion that gave you a boost in energy… and when you performed a Sonic RainBoom after drinking it… you were able to understand animals?” “Yeah. Pretty much” Matt and Fluttershy had been trying to wrap their head around what Rainbow Dash had explained to them 15 minutes ago. “Just… how does that make any sense?!” Matt asked confusion clearly portrayed on his face. “Hey I still don’t believe it myself!” Rainbow retorted. “I went and asked Zecora herself about this herself and all she had to say about it was that it was a rare side effect of the potion! It just doesn’t wear off.” Fluttershy was slightly disappointed with her friend about this. “Why didn’t you tell me about this before? You could’ve helped me with some of the injured animals by asking them things like, ‘Where does it hurt Mr. Beaver?’” “Animals talk too much.” “What?” “They’re always saying something and always talking over each other. It makes my head hurt just thinking about it.” Rainbow Dash rubbed her temple with a hoof to emphasize her point. “…Have you ever heard two dogs barking at each other?” “Yeah.” “You know what they’re saying? They’re saying ‘Hey! Hey! Hey! Look! Listen!’ constantly!” Rainbow let out an exasperated grunt. “It’s just so annoying having that constantly be in your ears!” “Wow. It must really suck to be her.” Matt said to himself while staring at Rainbow. Unfortunately Matt was a bit loud spoken, meaning the rainbow maned she-demon had heard him… “Well nopony asked you Mr. ‘Fluff-n-stuff’!!!” …and she didn’t like what he had to say. She made to advance onto the annoying fur ball but was stopped in her tracks when Fluttershy cut her off, scolding her as she did. “Rainbow Dash, you need to calm down.” Rainbow opened her mouth to respond to Fluttershy’s change in demeanor but the apparently not-so-shy pegasus continued. “You’ve already made one mess today, I don’t want to clean up another.” With that Rainbow Dash remained quiet. She was so quiet that one might have mistaken her for a mouse. Matt thought that now was a good opportunity to speak up… or at least apologize. He sighed and began to say, “Look, Rainbow Dash, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you or even make Fluttershy faint in the first place. I was just trying to find someone that might be able to help me find my friend. You see, we… well, we come from a different world and in all honesty, I don’t normally look like this. I’m actually a human and my made a machine which let my friend and I come here. It’s just that, I don’t know if she made it here with me…” Matt’s demeanor was crumbling as he spoke. Losing more and more the more he spoke. “And I can’t go looking for her because if what happened to me happened to her then I don’t think I’d be able to recognize her. But I have to try and find her. If anything happens…” He let out a few tears as he realized something possibly horrible. “…or happened to her I don’t know what I would do. She’s been my only real friend sense we were little and if I lose her then what would be the point of even coming here? To lose a friend?” Matt looked up at Rainbow Dash, fresh tears staining his now furry face. “You’re the element of loyalty Rainbow Dash, what would you do if you went to a strange place with Fluttershy, changed into something you’re not and couldn’t find her when you woke up?” Rainbow Dash remained quiet the entire time he spoke, taking in everything he was saying… And so she looked at Fluttershy and tried to imagine what he had just described but her mind did not allow her to think such unbearable things. Matt continued, “But sense you don’t want me here, I’ll just have to find her on my own.” And with a burst of speed Matt ran out the door and didn’t stop not knowing his own use of a Quick Attack just wanting to outrun everything he had just let out. He had no idea just how much his situation actually hurt and now he runs to out run his newly found emotions leaving a trail of tears in his wake. “Thanks for the new cup of tea Twilight.” Sora said as she went to take another sip of her tea. After she came out of her state of shock Twilight had gone to make her some more tea while Rarity stayed behind to make sure the she was alright. Twilight smiled at the now calm Glaceon. “You’re welcome Sora but if you don’t mind me asking, what happened?” Although Sora was asked the question Rarity was the one who gave a reply. “Twilight! For shame! Poor Sora barely come out of shock and the first thing you do is conduct a survey on her!” “It’s alright Rarity.” Much to the surprise to the as for mentioned mare, Sora seemed quite comfortable with answering a few of Twilight’s questions despite just coming out of shock not too long ago. “I’d have to disagree darling. Coming out of shock is quite serious. You should rest for a bit before you start answering any questions Twilight might have for you.” Rarity was persistent in her reasoning but Sora thought otherwise. “I’m fine Rarity. Really, I am! Watch.” Sora the promptly stood up and jumped onto the table before Rarity or Twilight could do anything. The, striking a pose, she turned to the two mare and said, “Ta-da! I know it wasn’t very impressive but I was only given this body a short while ago. I can’t do much with it yet but I learn pretty fast.” And that was true, she did learn fast. Whenever any of Sora’s professors brought up a new topic to the class Sora would usually be the first one to not only understand it but to apply it as well. To say the least, she was one smart cookie. The only one who actually rivaled her in studies was Matt during a Mathematics class. “Um, Sora, I’d hate to say this but Rarity might be right.” Twilight said in a manor as not to offend her friend. “You might still be in shock for all we know. Why don’t you just take a nap and I’ll ask you my questions when you wake up, okay?” Sora sighed and jumped down from the table. “Fine. Where do you recommend I sleep then because I don’t know whether this body would be more comfortable in a regular bed or a doggie bed?” Twilight pointed her hoof at the door at the very top of the stairs right next to them. “You can sleep in my bed in the room upstairs. It’s the…” “Blue one that looks like the night sky.” Sora finished for Twilight who was now confused. “You were a T.V. show. Remember?” Twilight shook her head release herself from her dumbfounded state of mind before saying, “Oh, right. Sorry, that part seemed to have slipped my mind somehow… You’d think something that news breaking would be hard to forget! Anyways, you should get to bed. We’ll wait for you down here so that you have a bit of privacy.” “Thanks Twilight.” And with that Sora made her way up the stairs, through the door and into the surprisingly comfortable bed.
