Lost little filly
Fluttershy raced though her cottage trying to find plates and cups. It was the day she had promised Angel that she would take him to a quiet picnic. Fluttershy nearly tore the place to pieces flying around so fast which she normally didn't do. "Angel have you seen anymore plates?" she yelled. Angel picked up another plate and put it in the basket. He had a stern look on his face, very impatient to go. "Ok ok Angel I'm coming." Fluttershy placed Angel on her head and walked out of her cottage heading north.
The sky was clear of clouds and the sun shone brightly. Made clear by a Pegasus named Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy sighed "Rarity would like this day." she muttered softly. The hills coming into view Fluttershy sped up the pace. Angel dangling from her mane. "Oh sorry Angel."
When they got to the hills Fluttershy unpacked the picnic basket. She pulled out a Sundae- Salad for Angel , she had made this before when Iron Will came to town to teach her not to be a "doormat". She shuttered at the thought it was bad enough to be a monster but taking that power and hurting your friends with harsh words it just wasn't worth it. Angel took soft bites and ate his food quietly. Fluttershy was thinking to herself about what a beautiful day it was and how she was going to spend the rest of it. She took out some sandwiches she had made and ate one. Going back to lala land she didn't notice an energetic pink pony standing next to her.
"Hi Fluttershy!!" She was instantly snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the pony. None other than Pinkie Pie, she smiled "Hi Pinkie what brings you here?" "Oh nothing just going to Zecora's to help Twilight with something!" "Y-you will be careful right?" Fluttershy never really liked the Everfree Forest. It was filled with strange creatures and scary ones to she tried to avoid it the best she could. "Silly Fluttershy of course I .. I mean we will be careful!" "Ok bye Pinkie!" "Bye BYE!!" She watched Pinkie bounce off in the distance near the forest.
20 minuets had passed , Angel had eaten the rest of the sandwiches and plopped down to rest. Fluttershy didn't care if Angel ate all the sandwiches or not she was still worried about Pinkie and Twilight. She didn't have time to think another word when a wail came from the forest. Fluttershy and Angel jumped up "Oh no is that them?!" She said in her mind but it didn't sound like her friends in fact it didn't sound like a pony at all.
Angel had hopped ahead checking out the edge of the forest searching for the strange creature that made the wail. "Oh what could that have been?" she wondered. She flew above the canopy of trees looking down and around. The forest was dense and spooky. How had Pinkie come through here when it was misty? Barely able to see her own hoof in her face Fluttershy flew back to the front of the forest. Then Angel came out of a bush and pointed. "Oh you found it." She flew to where Angel was pointing but nothing was there. "It must have gotten scared and ran..." she whispered to herself.
The walk back home had consisted of very hard trudging for Fluttershy. She wished she could have saw what the creature was and help it. "It must be lost and lonely and hungry." Angel had come to stroke her leg to comfort her, but Fluttershy bolted away and ran back toward the forest. She needed to help the poor creature no matter what it took. She ran past Pinkie Pie and Twilight. They looked at her and asked: "Fluttershy where are you going?" Twilight asked. "Yeah Where ya going!?" Fluttershy really didn't have time to stop so she talked while she ran. "Forest ...... Creature..... Trouble.... No time to talk!" Both ponies exchanged worried glances and said good bye to Fluttershy.
Fluttershy had been in the forest half the day searching for the lost creature. High and low back and forth. She couldn't stop looking something in her heart was screaming for her to go on. "I can't stop ..I -I just can't." Fluttershy was getting worried now the sun was beginning to set and still nothing. Then she heard it a wail a low wail but a wail. "Hold on I'm coming!" She raced though the trees following the wail not letting it get out of earshot. She reached a small tree barley taller than Princess Luna. "Um... hello?" The wail came again only now it was a soft voice. "Um hello...." the voice repeated what she said. Fluttershy looked behind the tree a tiny figure lay there 2 stubs of horns on its head.
Fluttershy had seen these creatures before but they didn't come out often.
