I sing now of Ponyville! Praise to its name!
My spot of redemption, the spot where the blame
Of centuries' arrogance washed from my sides
As surely as seas sweeping out with the tides!
Illumined by friendship, that glow from within,
The town and its ponies shone soft on my sin
And welcomed me back when I'd long gone astray,
Uncertain and lost to the light of the day!
A stone had a better existence than I,
Ensconced in my exile, for stones cannot cry
And rage with all impotence, shrieking, insane.
Resounding excuses and threats through my brain,
I stormed as both maelstrom and ship, tempest-tossed,
Despair digging deep for the world I had lost:
The trust of my people, my ponies, and you,
Celestia, sister, as pure as the dew.
Obscenities—echoing, foul, and disturbed—
Arose there like flowers as seldom I curbed
My temper to cultivate anything but
The falsehoods that filled me and clenched my mind shut.
I called you the villain, but not you alone:
All ponies were monsters in blood and in bone.
Ignoring and slighting me, they were the things
That needed correction, that needed my stings.
I had no sensation of time trickling past.
Absorbed in my sorrows, I played the outcast,
Unwanted, unloved, and all misunderstood:
My actions in my mind were nothing but good.
Delusional, yes, but what's worse, unashamed:
Acknowledging fault in all others, I blamed
My deeds on their actions, their flaws, their ennui
Without any thought that it might just be me.
Creatively bankrupt, I couldn't admit
How lost I'd become in self-doubt, too unfit
To exercise truly the duties my post
Demanded. Instead, I grew angry, engrossed
In trivial matters of status and rank—
And "rank" in this case means the same thing as "stank"!
My foolishness that of a child—nay, a brat!—
I sought all outside me for things to combat.
Until on that night, hollowed out and unwell,
I shattered and cracked like some poorly-cast bell.
A lunatic, ignorant, blinded, enraged,
Obsessed with escaping, I kept myself caged,
Awaiting my chance to return all afire
With madness, destruction my only desire.
The world had so wronged me, I knew in my heart,
Equestria had to be taken apart.
Ideas absorbed from some dusty romance,
I crashed into Ponyville, took up my stance,
Let peal my maniacal laughter and shout—
And doomed my pretensions. Of that, there's no doubt.
The shell that entombed me, the lies I embraced,
They crumbled against the true power I faced.
Unbalanced, I needed a push—nothing more—
To shatter me, gasping and sprawled on the floor.
In seeking perfection, I lost all I had.
Accepting their flaws, these six friends beat me bad.
Defeat was a victory—mine, yours and theirs:
I needed a kicking, and these were the mares.
Undaunted, resilient, enchanting, and strong,
They showed me quite clearly how far I'd gone wrong.
The lesson they taught there to welcome me home
Will flourish within me wherever I roam!
The Ballad of Nightmare Moon: By The Mechanic
Every day, I bring forth the moon
and the stars, to bolster it’s glow
yet my ponies shun my nightly show
Sister says they will love me soon
Day after day the pain only grows
teaching me to tighten my heart close
They curse my name and the night that I bring
creatively jest with new words to sting
No mind can comprehend
No one can try to pretend
to know of my condition
my life’s sole mission
The tears have long since gone
leaving my soul devoid
of happiness one so lonely can long
I am dried of any joy
Filled now with anger’s spite
In my eyes there is a light
One not there before tonight
all of the injustice I will make right
The time to act is at hand
to put to work, my malevolent plan
so soon will be the end
the sun will never rise again
The mountains will burn,
and the fields will freeze
I shall be Queen of the chaos strewn
For I am The Nightmare Moon
Her Downfall: By Decibel
I’m always looming there in the back of your mind;
Like a silent stalker you know exists but the royal guard can’t find.
Feel my breath on your neck and hear my heavy breathing;
Get used to it, unless you get all you deserve that feeling’s never leaving.
I’m always going to be a problem like prejudice and poverty;
Can only resist temporarily, solely you know the truth in my mockery.
Every happy scene played before you only makes my presence stronger;
Why does she get what you deserve? And why do they want her?
Most of my victims cry and almost all lash out angrily;
You can’t ignore me for long, for my name is Jealousy.
Moonlit Field: By Shadowflash173
In a field of golden daffodils I lie;
Beside a lake and beneath the trees.
While my heart can only trudge on and sigh,
The field remains in its state of beauty and ease.
I look up to my smiling crescent moon,
And her smile, for me, dips low
To mend my crescentfallen heart.
And with my crescent shaped tunes,
Of adoration and gusto,
I will lasso my moon- so that from me she will never part.
As she glanced into the moonlight
Dressed in black lace
He settled behind her
With a tender embrace
Starring into the midnight sky
As the stars fluttered
Illuminating the heavens
Creating a romantic scene, like no other
The night flourished
Into a stimulating atmosphere
And she was lost in admiration
Nearly in tears
‘An immutable desire to see into your night blue-flower scented dawn
blooms from my insides -it waters the desire to be within fixed proximity to you.’
And with skin touching- the aroma of a deity has on me come upon.
And her glow - mooding our seeding, wishes aridity adieu.
An inexperienced arousing then buds;
which flowers into moments of efflorescent passion-
where Soft rouge lips rest, osculate against the skin,
Lips so warm-balmy evoke my heart’s thuds,
and your petal-light hands keep on passing-
Until to your touch,sensual and delicate, I submit; “my love, permeate in!”
Though the night was made for loving
And the day returns too soon
Yet we'll go no more a-roving
By the light of the moon .
Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy coat the white breasts peep
Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep;
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And move-less fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.
Cheering at moon rise
and changing out
of this confining disguise.
Dancing in the starlight
howling at the moon.
The joy of full-moon night.

Luna's sky i see, beauty is gleeming aminst of the stars bright in the night, yet i see an event even more, it's mystical movement, it's light green color out-shining the rest stealing the show even from the moon, and please luna do not gloom for it is your creation that brings it out making it a part of your night even the name is standing out..........Aurora Borealis The Northen Lights makes my heart soothen nights

Bitter Solitude
What could I have done so wrong
To end up with this fate?
What did I do to deserve
Such overwhelming hate?
Upon a vacant rock I sit
And pretend it is my throne.
Upon a shining star I wish
To flee this cell of stone.
They look right at me every night
And never know I’m there.
They forget me more with every day
Does anypony care?
I wished for love and loyalty
I wished with all my might.
But they all deserted me
Alone in lonely night.
Should I return would they still know
My title, face, or name?
Or will they hate and fear me
And reject me just the same?
Equestria, Equestria,
I’ve missed you all these years.
But still you turn away from me
And ignore my falling tears.
Then let me declare here and now
My just and fiery hate.
I vow before the stars and moon
My vengeance will be great.
I will escape this wretched place
And come to claim my right.
And it will be you, Equestria
Condemned forever to night.
